You can have three of them active at a time, allowing you to make steps. This item can be obtained by defeating Heat man. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Item 2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Item two is a bit more useful, it is like the "Rush Jet" of mega man 3. What's that? You've never played Mega man 3? Well shame on you. Go buy it. Anyway, this is basically a hovering platform that zips across the screen until it hits something or runs out of weapon energy. You can get this fantastic item by defeating Air man. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Item 3 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Item three is a bit like item one, but less useful. Basically it lets you be "spider man" by climbing up the wall. Most of the times you use it will only be to conserve the energy of item one for a later task in that level. You can get this item by defeating Flash man. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arm Cannon -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The arm cannon, is mega man's default weapon of choice. It can fire single shots or three round bursts. It's primary applications are against Metal man, and quick man. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Metal Blades -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The metal blades are received from metal man, and in my opinion are the most useful master weapon in the game. They basically are just saw blades that get thrown, the great thing about them is they can be aimed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bubble Lead -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bubble lead is pretty useless, basically it's a bubble that floats across the ground. It has a few applicable uses. You can get it from Bubble man. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air Shooter -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Air shooter can be received from Air man. It shoots up three tornadoes in an upward fashion. It's best use is against crash man. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Time Stopper -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Time stopper is obtained by defeating Flash man. It stops time for a few seconds allowing you to run by obstacles and what not. It's only real good use is in quick mans level, and against quick man himself. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leaf Shield -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Leaf shield can be received by defeating Wood man. It basically runs a circle of leafs around mega man, then gets thrown. It's best use is against Air man. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Atomic fire -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The atomic fire is a lot like the mega buster in later mega-mans, in the way you can charge it for a more powerful shot. The more charge, the more power it will take though. You can grab this nifty weapon by killing Heat man. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crash Bombs -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The crash bombs can be obtained by putting a hurt on Crash man. They are basically bombs, they stick to things and blow up. The best use for these is those pesky brick walls you come up to in many levels. You can use the bombs to knock those walls right out. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quick Boomerangs -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Quick boomerangs can be obtained from quick man. They are most useful against the dragon in the first stage of Dr. Wily's castle. What they do is throw up boomerangs right in front of Mega man. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= T H E W A L K T H R O U G H -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Finally, the part you came to read. I pretty much picked these levels in a semi-random order, There are easier paths through the levels, however there is also much harder ones. My walkthrough has been designed so on all of the hard bosses, you have the master weapons that work well against them, as well as the necessary items that help you through the stage. You may have to use your arm cannon on a few though, but the robot masters aren't that tough. As far as the robot master stats go, The stars are 1-5, 5 being the best. Here is what each category stands for. Name: The Robots' Name Number: His Number of Creation Weapon: His Primary Weapon Height: The Robots' Height Strength: How Strong the Robot Is Dexterity: How Well the Robot Uses His Weapon/Ability Intelligence: How Intelligent the Robot Is/How Smartly He Attacks Agility: How Quick the Robot Is Stamina: How able-bodied the Robot Is Difficulty: How Difficult the Robot Is to Defeat In Battle Overall: Strength + Dexterity + Intelligence + Agility + Stamina + Difficulty = The Total Number [divided by] 6 Please note: These stats are from Colin Moriarty's guide. He has given me permission to use them. Please do not ask me to use them, they are not mine to give. I did change them from a number to a star rating however, that is the only difference. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- M E T A L M A N -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Metal man's level is basically a bunch of conveyer belts that will try to push you in one direction or the other, into pits. If you run full speed you can get by them, however I recommend jumping. Also watch out when you jump from belt to belt, as they direction may change between the two. Now, the first thing you'll want to do is jump across this fist pit, then continue to run across the lower conveyer belt, you can receive an energy tank. You shouldn't need this in this level, but it may come in handy in a later level. Then just let the conveyer belt take you back, jump to the top belt and continue your journey. In the next screen, there will be these spikes tied to chains, when you get close they will drop, and if you even touch them, any part including the sides, you're gonna take some massive damage. As long as you miss one of them, you can probably get by without losing a life. If you do lose a lot of life, the next screens will be a godsend for you. These screws will come down, and up from their respective parts of the screen. You can just stand there and shoot them to get plenty of power-ups ranging from energy charges, to even bonus live (this is rare, I don't recommend shooting the screws until you get one). Now you'll want to be careful as you hop onto the next conveyer belt, as the screws will continue to fall, if you don't exercise caution you could lose some life. Now you will come to some conveyer belts suspended over a pit, just keep jumping on them until you get to the other side. Now if you've been playing this game a different way then me and you have item one, use it to get to that top conveyer belt to get a bonus life. If not just keep going on the bottom belt. In the next screen, you'll have to watch out for these clowns like things that fall from the ceiling onto those big gears. The gears will be knocked lose and both clown and gear will fall, rolling towards you Indiana Jones style. Indi never had an arm cannon though, so blast the gear, if you shoot the rider the gear will continue to roll, and if you have the skill shoot the rider too so you can collect the maximum amount of power ups. Just keep shooting them as you run along the belts, there is only a few of them. Now it's time to make a decision, you see that energy tank? It can be yours, for the price of one life. I recommend you grab it, as it will help you later, and I'm pretty sure even if you get a game over the tanks still carry over into the next life (if you continue). To get, "fall" off the ledge, and immediately press left, to get into that nook, repeat and grab the tank. Now if you don't have items you just lost a life. So jump into the pit and die. When you come out, you see you didn't really lose that much ground, you're just back to the part with the clowns on gears. Now as you continue through this part, you will notice some ledges with stacks of cans on them. You will also notice these cans are moving towards you, what you'll need to do is shoot the can that has a "face", one hit should do the job. Keep shooting these cans and hoping up the ledges. Now you'll come to these little things that go back and forth on the ground. These are pretty tricky, as you can't kill them; you can jump over them if you time it right. However they may spring up and smack you if you don't time it right. Congratulations, you've just made it to Metal Man's lair, good luck. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Metal Man ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Name: Metal Man Number: #009 Weapon: Metal Blade Height: 4'6" Strength: ** 1/2 Dexterity: *** Intelligence: ***** Agility: *** Stamina: **** Difficulty: ** Overall: *** (average) The inside of Metal mans lair is a big conveyer belt, however, metal man doesn't seem to be affected by the flow of the belt. So running at him is out of the picture. If this is your first fight (and it probably is), you'll only have the arm cannon, but no worry metal man is pretty easy. Metal man only really has one attack, he'll jump up and throw 2-3 metal blades at you, to dodge them, jump over the first one, and fall in-between the gap of the next one. Just keep blasting him with your arm cannon if you start running low on life and you almost have him beat, crack open an energy tank. Congratulations, you've just beat Metal man and received the Metal blades, one of the most useful weapons in the game. Your New Password will be: 1 2 3 4 5 A [X] B [X] [X] C [X] [X] D [X] [X] E [X] [X] Next let's take a stroll to Bubble Man's level, for no other reason than I like his music. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B U B B L E M A N -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bubble man's level seems to take place on a waterfall, and the lake that is below it. Bubble man's level is pretty short so you shouldn't have too much trouble. You will start on the waterfall, you will see some silver platforms, and these will stay put so you don't need to worry. You will encounter these "factory frogs" as I like to call them, because they produce lots of little frogs that bug you. If you kill all the little frogs or they fall off, it will spit three more out at you. So aim for the big frog and forget about the little ones. As you go along you should encounter a few of these. Now, here comes the tricky part, you should see some brick like platforms, these will fall after about a second or two. So you'll need to keep tapping the jump button as soon as you make contact with the platform. If you got mad skills like Buddha does, then you can jump so fast the platforms will stay put, the most I've gotten is 3 out of the 5 platforms. You will be on a screen with three platforms, along them are these snails on wheels, they have no weapons and are taken out with one shot, so kill them collect and power-ups they may drop and continue with your descent. Now you should come to another silver platform, just follow it, and drop down. Now you'll be in the water, take note that you will move slower, but you got more ups than Jordan. This will be important because soon the ceiling will be laced with spikes, and it's pretty easy to jump right into them. It'd also be good of me to note that these spikes are one hit kills, so avoid them at all cost. Anyway, in the water there will be some more snails, kill them and keep on going down. Now you should come to a fish like thing that spits out se-horse looking things like that frog did. You will notice that it's eye on it's antenna is flashing, shoot that to kill off this sucker. Then equip the metal blades to take out the fish that you can't hit with your cannon. Now you should equip the metal blades if you already haven't. The next screen will be a series of ledges that get really close to those spikes. To make things worse these jellyfish things will come down, you can use the metal blades to aim, so you can take them out without worrying about it. Now to cross the ledges you will want to get as low as possible, then just jump high enough to reach the ledge. Then fall into the low place and repeat. You shouldn't have too much trouble with it. At the end of these ledges there will be a final ledge with a wall on the right that comes down, with an opening at the bottom, and spikes on the walls on each side. You'll want to jump up real high (there is no ceiling spikes) and aim yourself so you fall right down into the middle of the spikes. In this next screen you will come up against another one of those "fish factory" things, use the same technique as last time, jumping to hit the flashing eye at the top. Now you will come up against another "frog factory", again shoot the big thing and ignore the little frogs. Now you will be out of the water area, and back onto a waterfall area. The next part is pretty easy, you will see the silver platforms, these will stay put remember. Now crabs will fall from the top of the screen, if they hit you in mid jump, you probably just lost a life, so let them land or fall into a pit then jump and shoot them. Congratulations, you've just made it to Bubble man's lair, good luck. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Bubble man ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Name: Bubble Man Weapon: Bubble Lead Height: 4'6" Strength: *** Dexterity: **** Intelligence: *** 1/2 Agility: * 1/2 Stamina: ***** Difficulty: ** 1/2 Overall: *** (average) Bubble man's Lair is all under water, with spikes on the top of it, take note that bubble man can hit the spikes and not take damage, but you will die if you hit them. You'll want to equip the metal blades for this fight, as Bubble man will jump a lot, but the more you stay on the ground, the better. You can aim the Metal Blades so do that to kill him. Bubble man will try to jump and shoot his lame weapon at you, but being so lame, you can easily dodge it then smack him up with two or three metal blades. From bubble man you will get the Bubble Lead, which is the lamest weapon in the game, basically it is a bubble that floats across the bottom of the screen then pops. Oh no, what fear that must strike in the hearts of the other robot masters. Something tells me the other robot masters picked on bubble man a lot. Your new password will be: 1 2 3 4 5 A [X] B [X] [X] C [X] D [X] [X] [X] E [X] [X] On to Air man's level. Why? Because I said so. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A I R M A N -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air man eh? Short name, long level. Air man's Lair is well, up in the air, as such there is plenty of pits to fall into in this level. Though you shouldn't worry, falling into them is pretty hard to do. At the start you will run across a big platform, only to get to a dead end, well if you hold on for a second, a tiki head will appear, now wait another second, see those screws? Those will make you fall into the gap if you hit them, so let them go down then jump. For the duration of the time you are on the tiki head, it will spit out little tiki heads, they are easily disposed of with one or two shots, however I like to equip the metal blades so you can aim and hit them, lowering the chance of them knock you off. You will want to continue along the these tiki heads, eventually you'll get back to platforms. After that you should come to these bear/monkey things that are riding on clouds, they have these thunder bolt things, that look dangerous. I don't know how dangerous they really are, I've never been hit by them. Anyway, kill the bear and jump on his cloud. Keep doing this, a few of them you will lose sight of the cloud, into the clouds in the foreground, DO NOT MAKE A BLIND JUMP. It's better to wait a few seconds then to lose a live. As you continue to the right, these birds will come along, to drop eggs, if the eggs hit the ground, lots of little birds will come at you. A well placed shot will finish off the egg, but if you are low on health switch to the metal blades and let the egg drop, then throw one or two blades, which will take out more than half the squadron, allowing you to collect some power-ups. You will see these guys again, so remember this, it is semi-important. Heading to the right more, you will fall off the platform, onto another platform, you will now be going to the left. Anyway, you will see these little things that shoot snakes out of them, you can waste them with one hit from the metal blades, or you can sit and hit the snakes and collect the goodies. The choice is yours. As you jump down, it feels as though you've experienced deja vu. This time however you will have to wait for the tiki heads to appear, the last time they where there for you. The same rules apply however, wait for the screws to go down before jumping. Continue jumping across these until you get to the other side. Thankfully you won't see them again. Heading to the right you will come along to these Tubby Lunchboxes (as Jay would say) that have fans in their stomachs. After a brief wind up time, those fans will push you with the strength of Metal Man's Conveyer belts, just shoot them and keep going to the right. Those birds will be dropping the eggs the whole time you fight these fan enemies, so keep the metal blades equipped in case an egg falls down. Congratulations, you've made it to Air man's Lair, good luck. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Air Man ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Name: Air Man Weapon: Air Shooter Height: 5'0" Strength: **** Dexterity: *** Intelligence: **** 1/2 Agility: * Stamina: ******! (That's no typo) Difficulty: *** Overall: ***1/2 (above average) Air Man's Lair is rather plain, it's just like the rest of his level. No matter, for Air man you will want to use the arm buster, or you can use the leaf shield if you are going in a pattern other than me. Air man is pretty simple, basically he runs around like a jack ass, then he throws up these tornado things, they will block your shots, so, you'll have to jump over them, however they will blow towards you after a second. If you jump over them successfully, now is the time to shoot him. After a few rounds of this you should come out victorious. For Defeating Air man you shall receive the Air Shooter, its only real use is against crash man, who you'll face up against further on down the line. The Air shooter shoots up three tornadoes, which tend to go upwards, making this a hard weapon to use. Also you shall receive Item 2 from Dr. Light. This item is pretty useful, as it resembles the "Rush Jet" from Mega Man 3. If you haven't played mega-man 3, think of a Back to the future with the hover skateboard things. It will go until you jump off or it hits something, or runs out of fuel. There is really only a few practical uses for this, but it helps tremendously through these. Your new password becomes: 1 2 3 4 5 A [X] B [X] [X] C [X] D [X] [X] E [X] [X] [X] Now onto flash man. Why you ask? Who's writing the guide anyway? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- F L A S H M A N -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After such a long level, it's nice to go in a short easy level for a change. Flash man's level seems to be made of ice, so Mega man will have some traction problems to say the least. Anyways, the first part of this level is like a maze; you'll want to stay on the bottom part for now. As you cross the maze you'll eventually fall into a pit. In this pit you will see a walker type mech, with a pilot, it will jump and shoot things and just try to kill you. You have two choices, you can run under it when it jumps or you can kill it, and it's pilot, the choice is yours. As you continue along you will reach yet another one of these mechs. This time you have a few new choices, you can go over him, which I don't recommend, or you can drop down into the little nook where he can't get you and shoot him. This nook also contains an energy pellet. Just keep jumping and shooting to kill him. Now you will want to jump down the pit that is closest to the right side, this will allow you to bypass two more of those robots. When you get to a gap, don't even chance it, just use Item two to surf across, at the other side you will get an energy tank. Now go back to the last gap and fall down it. Then fight the last mech robot. Congratulations, you've made it to flash man's Lair, Good luck. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Flash Man ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Name: Flash Man Weapon: Time Stopper Height: 4'5" Strength: ** Dexterity: **** Intelligence: *** Agility: ** 1/2 Stamina: ***** Difficulty: ** Overall: *** (below average) Flash man's Lair is a bit different than previous master robots. His has a hill in the middle of it, It doesn't matter as your shots will go right through it. Now equip the metal blades and go to work. Flash man only has two attacks, one is running at you like a chicken with his head cut-off. The other one is, he will use the Time Stopper, stop you in your tracks and fire a series of shots at you from his arm cannon. Though if you use your metal blades, he probably won't even have a chance to use this attack. A few hits with the metal blades and he'll be down for the count. I told you those metal blades where useful didn't I? For defeating Flash man, you will get the time stopper, which is only useful on quick man's stage. You will also receive Item 3 from Dr. Light. Item 3 is a wall hugger, it will hop onto a wall, then it will ascend then descend, then disappear. Not exactly the most useful items in my book. Your new password will be: 1 2 3 4 5 A [X] B [X] C [X] [X] D [X] [X] E [X] [X] [X] Next we will go after Wood man. The jokes practically write themselves don't they? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- W O O D M A N -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wood man's stage takes place in a forest, with all the weird animals that would be in a forest, in robot form! What fun. The best weapon for this level is definitely the metal blades, so just keep them equipped. There are two main reoccurring enemies in this level, the first is a bat like robot, it looks like a bomb up in the tree, but when you get close it will show it's true form and swoop down for an attack. The other is what I like to call the "Jack-ass Jack rabbits" These rabbits hop up and down and shoot missiles at you. All of the other enemies are only in one place in the level. Anyway, just keep going straight, using the metal blades to mow down the bats and rabits. When you reach the end of this go down the level, take out the three bats and continue down the level. Next you will come up against a ferocious tiger like robot. It shoots flames in a downward arc, so you can easily jump over it and when you jump blast off a few rounds. I'm pretty sure the metal blades don't work on the tigers, so use the arm cannon. As you head right you will face two more of these guys, just jump over the flame and kick their asses. As you continue to the right you will come to suspended platforms that look like bamboo sticks. Here you will face off against a combination of these guerillas and the egg dropping birds. The guerrillas will jump up and hold onto the platform until you get close, then they will jump up and strike at you, they are hard to dodge, try your best, but you probably still won't dodge them. Keep the metal blades equipped, because if you lose too much health then you can always let an egg drop, kill the little birds and take the power-ups. Continuing through the level, you will come to three different types of terrain, on three different screens, each of which has one of those rabbits I was talking about. Use the metal blades to take out these suckers by aiming. Make sure to dodge the rockets they shoot or you may not have enough life to tango with Wood man. As you continue to head down the level once again, you will come to these ledges, and you will notice these emu/ ostrich things running at you. You can't kill them, so try to get under them or over them. If you time it right you can get right next to the ledge, let the bird hop over, then jump up and run to the next ledge, and repeat as necessary. Congratulations, you've made it to Wood man's Lair, Good luck. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Wood man ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Name: Wood Man Weapon: Leaf Shield Height: 4'10" Strength: *** 1/2 Dexterity: **** Intelligence: **** Agility: * Stamina: **** Difficulty: *** Overall: **** (average) Wood man is pretty easy, he just kind of stand there the whole time. His lair is really nothing special, in fact it has nothing special about it. At any rate equip the metal blades and prepare to cut this tree down. Wood man only has one attack, and one move for that mater. He will create a leaf shield around him, and throw leafs in the air that will fall. Get in- between these falling leafs, and try your best to jump over the shield when he throws it. If he has the shield up, your blades will just bounce off. So you will want to wait until he throws it to fire your blades. You should only have to see his leaf shield twice before he goes down for the count. For defeating Wood man you get the leaf shield, which is a blah kind of weapon. It's not as useful as say the metal blades. Your new password will be: 1 2 3 4 5 A [X] B [X] C [X] [X] D [X] [X] E [X] [X] [X] Next victim, Heat man. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- H E A T M A N -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heat man's level takes place in an underground cavern like place. You will notice on the bottom of the screen a river of lava, eventually that river will open up and you can fall into it to your death! What fun! Having Item 2 will help a lot in this level, unless you like those disappearing blocks that are so infamous in the mega man series. Heat man's level is short, but it's hard none the less. To start, you'll want to equip the metal blades again. You will go up against these Helicopter jumping things that will fall from the ceiling, just shoot them once with a metal blade and keep going. Now you will face up against these cans that will come out of these holes in the wall. Just try to ignore, them only shooting the ones you need to shoot to get by. Now descend the ladder. You will come to your first match-up against the Disappearing, reappearing blocks. On the bottom of the screen will be one of those spring things that will jump up if it gets close to you. So you will notice the pattern, now watch there is only one block you can jump up onto, jump on this block, then as soon as you are on it, jump straight up. A block will appear under you, now watch for the block in the middle to show up, and jump right to it. Then jump to the ledge on the far right side and descend the ladder. Heading right, you will see some ledges you can't get on to. Guess what else? That's right the disappearing blocks. Now the patterns for these blocks are pretty simple to get on the ledges. However, the cans will be attacking you. Just be careful, and you can easily get past this section. The next section you come to will be a big flat area with one of those spring guys on it. You will see a hanging ledge, now if you don't have Item 2 here, you must be smoking something to think you're going to get across this area. If you have item 2, hop down from the ledge and go right until you come to a big open lava pit. You will see the disappearing/reappearing blocks go off above you. Ignore them, use Item 2 right at the edge of the pit, and float across. If you have full power, you can easily get across this. If not, go back to the cans and shoot them until you have full energy for item 2. Going down the ladder, you will encounter one of those walker mechs, un-equip the metal blades and use your blaster to take him and his pilot out. If you happen to meet your maker because of this robot, use the cans to regain energy for Item 2, wait until you have 100% power for it before trying to cross again. Congratulations, you've just made it to Heat man's lair, good luck. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Heat Man ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Name: Heat Man Weapon: Atomic Fire Height: 4'3" Strength: *** 1/2 Dexterity: ***** Intelligence: **** Agility: **** 1/2 Stamina: **** Difficulty: **** Overall: **** 1/2 (very good) Heat man's lair is another nothing-special lair. It's just a flat strip of land with the same background as the rest of the level. Equip Bubble lead against heat man for the win. Heat man only has a few attacks, one he will do is spit three little fire balls up, which will fall down and create fire pillars, you'll want to get in-between the columns to dodge the hurt. These columns will block your shots, so wait until they disappear. The other attack heat man will use is he will turn into a beam like thing, that can easily be jumped over, this is how he moves, so change direction when he does it. Just keep hitting him with the bubble lead and you should have this robot master TKOed in no time. For defeating heat man you get Atomic fire, which is like your Arm cannon, but you can charge it for a nice big shot. Watch out though, the more you charge the more energy it will drain. You will also receive Item 1 from Dr. light, Item 1 is a little hover platform that floats to the top of the screen and disappears, you can have 3 of them at a time, in a step like pattern, it's pretty useful in some later parts of the game. Your new password will be: 1 2 3 4 5 A [X] B [X] C [X] [X] D [X] E [X] [X] [X] Next in line for service in the butt kicking cafe is Crash man. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- C R A S H M A N -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crash man's level is basically all ladders. So the metal blades are a godsend here. Also if you don't have the air shooter, get it. There is almost no way to beat crash man without it. The first few screens you come up against are basically just ladders with those little can guys coming out of these tubes. Just kill the cans and ascend the ladders. Keep doing this until you get to a screen that has a white outline with a platform going around it. You'll want to hop on this platform and shoot the cans as they come from the sides. There are three of these screens, just keep the ride going, the only reason you should jump off is if one of them happens to drop an extra life. Anything else is not worth it. Now if you are the impatient type you can use one of the items to get to that ladder without riding the platform. Item one is really the only choice to do this. After these screens you will come to a large ladder on the right side. Climb up this ladder. Now here's a little tricky part, there is a med-cap on one of the ledges, if he hits you, you will fall. So what you want to do is jump to the middle block then immediately, tap jump and land back on the ladder. He will shoot and then move one block closer. Now just go to the far left side of the ladder and he will come out and shoot allowing for you to kill him. As you continue going up, only more ladders follow. You will see this big tower thing. Keep taking the far right ladder. It is the only one that will get you all the way to the top. Now, equip the metal blades, as those egg- dropping birds make a return in this level. They can really screw you up as the little birds will make you fall off the ladder. Now when you get to the top, jump down and grab the little energy tank. Use Item 1 to get back up. Now use item one again to get on that suspended ladder on the left side. Climbing up this will yield you an extra life. Now shoot the jumping helicopter things and continue to the right. Congratulations you've just made it to crash man's lair, good luck. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Crash Man ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Name: Crash Man Weapon: Crash Bombs Height: 4'8" Strength: **** Dexterity: **** Intelligence: *** Agility: **** Stamina: *** 1/2 Difficulty: ** 1/2 Overall: *** (average) Crash man's lair is another flat-leveled lair. These are getting kind of boring. The best way to take him out is with the Air shooter. Two or three shots should take this sucker down. Crash man has two attacks. One is, he will run at you, and hit you. Big Whoop. The other one, which is far more dangerous, is he will throw a bomb at you from the air. Now the reason this is so deadly is because you get hurt two fold, once when the bomb is dropped, and again when the bomb goes off. So if you see a bomb come down, run away from it. While crash man is in the air is the best time to shoot the air shooter at him, as the tornadoes seem to float up naturally anyway. For defeating crash man you will get the crash bombs. The best place to use these is anywhere that has those bricks walls that are in the way you see in various levels. These bombs will blow the brick wall out of the way. Your new password becomes: 1 2 3 4 5 A [X] B [X] C [X] [X] D [X] [X] [X] E [X] Next and last robot master, the infamous QUICK MAN. *ominous music plays* -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q U I C K M A N -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quick man's level is one of the most frustrating levels in the mega man series. That is why I saved him for last. You will need all the skill you possess to pass this level. Quick man's level is just that, quick. It is quite tricky however. The First thing you'll want to do is use Item one or three to get up to that ledge and grab the extra life. Now hop down, and meet the things that will ultimately lead you to series frustration, these yellow beams that come from the sides of the level will shoot out. If they hit you, kiss mega man good bye. These first two screens you shouldn't need to use flash man's time stopper. SO DON'T USE IT. In the second screen, you'll want to fall to the right side as you can collect some really good bonuses, among them are an energy tank and an extra life. Actually that's pretty much it, there is also a weapon energy pick- up but you shouldn't need that. Heading down, you will want to go to the right. If you did use Flash man's time stopper, now is the time to regain some energy. Do you see those torches? They will respawn, so kill them and keep heading to the right. Watch out for these torches, as their attacks are quite powerful and can take off quite a bit of your life quickly. When you do kill them, the screen will turn black, and all you will be able to see will be mega man. Just keep jumping to the right and you should be able to navigate through any obstacles in the dark. Now before you get to this pit on the far right end of this floor, make sure the time stopper has full energy before you jump down, you will need all of it. Equip the time stopper and jump down. The first screen you should be able to get by without using it, the second screen is different, as soon as you see the beam coming out, hit the time stopper. Now make a mad dash like a bat out of hell down the following screens, there is only one power up you will need/want to collect. That is the weapon energy pellet about half way down. Grab that and keep going. Ignore all other goodies, you may die trying to get them, this includes the second weapon energy pellet. Now if you followed my directions carefully, you should be at the bottom of the level. Good job, that is by far the hardest part of this game. At the bottom the walker mechs from flash man's level will make a cameo appearance. Kill the mechs and their pilots and grab any energy they drop for the time stopper. I recommend going back and forth, killing these guys until you have full energy for your time stopper as it will make taking out Quick man a cinch. Here you are, the final robot master Quick man, Good luck. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Quick man ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Name: Quick Man Weapon: Quick Boomerangs Height: 4'7" Strength: *** 1/2 Dexterity: *** Intelligence: **** Agility: ***** Stamina: ***** Difficulty: *** 1/2 Overall: **** (above average) I'm pretty sure quick man's lair looks like flash man's lair, but I may be mistaken on that fact. Anyway the weapon of choice here is the time stopper, if you enable it right at the beginning of the fight, kiss half of quick man's energy good bye, if it is fully charged that is. Basically it will take one life point of his away for every two points of weapon energy from the time stopper. When the time stopper runs out, switch to your cannon and finish the job. Quick man, like most of the other robot masters has really only two moves. One is jump, the other is throw the quick boomerangs. These are really easily dodged, and don't do too much damage even if they do connect. Yeah, kind of anti-climactic isn't it? Well the level was hard so yeah. But wait the game's not over yet. For defeating quick man you get, the quick boomerangs. Lucky you. The quick boomerangs see their pretty much only application in the next level, so you get to try them out. They basically are just boomerangs that shoot out in front of mega man, and do what boomerangs do, return to the thrower. You must be wetting yourself with excitement. Your new password shall become: 1 2 3 4 5 A [X] B [X] [X] [X] C [X] D [X] [X] [X] E [X] Bickity-bam sucka, you just finished off all the robot masters and brought peace to megapolis. Or did you? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Wily and his Castle -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A cut-scene will ensue, and you will see Dr. Wily in his little UFO thing. He will then fly into his little castle on the hill. Oh no I am scared. The castle is pretty lame looking, and you will be brought to a map of it. With five dots, these five dots are the different stages you must beat to get to Dr. Wily. Unlock the robot master levels, these are one after the other, which means you're weapons will not be re-charged in-between the levels. Also there is only one re-spawn point in each level for mega-man. That is at the mid-way point. The last thing to notice is, the passwords will not be displayed. They will however be available if you die. From this point on, there is no new password. So you have to take these stages on and on. However if you get a game over, you will still be on the same stage. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage one: The outer defense -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This stage takes place in the outer levels of Dr. Wily's base, it is pretty plain looking mountain like terrain. Then you'll come to the fortress of Dr. Wily. Heading to the right you will notice the Birds that drop the eggs. By now you should be a pro at dealing with these. So equip the metal blades in case the egg does hit the ground and keeping going right. Now you should come to a big white wall that is in your way. Use item 1 or 3 to get on top and over this. I strongly recommend Item 3, as you will need the energy for Item 1. On the other side of the wall, you will come to several of those little discs that throw the snakes; you can sit here and shoot them and collect the power-ups or use the metal blades to destroy them. At any rate, keep heading right. You should again arrive at another wall. Again use Item 3 to get up above this wall and keep on going to the right. Now on the other side of this wall you will finally be at the foot of Wily's fortress. Kill the snake and use Item 3 to get up to the ledge on the left. Kill the snake disc that is guarding the bonus life. Grab the life then either use item one to get to the suspended ladder on the left, or hop down on the right and use item 1 or 3 to get to the top ladder. I prefer you do the latter of the two. Going up you will come to the robots that piloted the mech walkers. The first on is guarding a weapon energy pellet, which you should use for Item 1 if you used it at all, or item 3 if you didn't. Now there is several good ways to take these boys out. One I prefer to use is the Air shooter from down on the ladder, you won't get hit and it isn't too hard to aim. Another way is to use the metal blades in the same fashion, which is a bit harder to do. The last way, which is the easiest, is just climb up the ladder to the point where you can hit his feet, but he can't hit you, and take him out with the arm cannon. The second guy however will not be guarding anything, so just blast him away and keep going up. At the top of that ladder you will notice one of those pesky robots that springs when it gets close to you, jump over it and climb the ladder on the right. Now what? You may ask, well it's elementary my dear reader, Use item number 1 to make stairs up. I told you, you would need the energy, I hope you didn't waste it. Now you will need to throw the first one while on the ladder, near the top, that way you'll have enough room to get all the way over. You will need to deploy four to get to that height, which means you will have to wait for the first one to disappear. If done correctly you'll be heading up the ladder on the left. You're almost there, keep going. Now equip metal mans blades as those floating cans are back. Shoot both of them and keep climbing, they will keep respawning and since you can't get any of the items they drop, don't even bother with wasting your energy. Now you've made it to the very top, head to the right. You will come to a black area with silver platforms, jump from platform to platform now. Okay eventually it starts to get a one block platform, and you will notice the screen is now moving, whether you want it too or not. Here is the time to MOVE YOUR MEGA BUTT! A dragon will soon appear, knocking away the blocks as he hits them, if he touches you, you die. That doesn't seem to fair now does it. You will need to pace yourself, so that you aren't making jumps onto bricks that won't be there, and so you don't hit puff the magic dragon breathing down your neck. Eventually you will come to three bricks one above, one in the middle and one on the bottom. Here is where you get to slay the dragon. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Puff the Robotic Dragon ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Now is the time to equip the Quick boomerangs, because this dragon will drop like a bad habit when you use them. However using the arm cannon also works well. Don't try to use any other weapons though, they are ineffective at best. Puff dragon here only has one attack, spit a fireball at your current position. So shoot him until he spits the fireball, then jump to the top brick. Keep shooting him. Now he will shoot again, jump down to the middle brick and keep shooting. Getting hit once will not take off all of your life, but it probably will knock you off the block you are on, and if you fall in the pit, you die, so avoid the fireballs at all costs. Now if you used the arm cannon you just defeated him, if you used the quick boomerangs you've been done with this dragon for awhile. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage two: Inside the fortress, part one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The inside of the fortress looks just like the inside of a mountain fortress should, In 8-bit that is... Starting the level, you will notice the "Hopping mad" helicopter robots return, Lay these things to waste and keep going to the right. Don't stand and fight them as they will continue to respawn over and over again. Heading to the right you will come to a spike pit. Equip item 2 and surf across these bad-boys. Now you will see a ladder, forget this ladder, a second one will come up, make sure you get the second one. It will get you SOOO many more goodies. For example TWO energy tanks TWO extra lives, and lots of weapon energy pellets. What does the first ladder give you? A view of the stuff you could have gotten if you took the second ladder. Can you guess which ladder I took? That's right the first one, I hope you die trying to get to that second ladder. Now this next part depends on if you took the chance or not, if you did, you will drop down almost directly into the open gap. If you took the first ladder you will end up on a little platform over spikes, now use item one to get over this gap and jump down into it. Finally a break for me, you will come to a big long corridor where you will see the screws from metal man's level return. Fill up all of your weapons and items as well as your life here. Keep heading right, now you will get to wall. Use item three to get to the top of the wall. You will need to judge when to get off, to avoid the dropping spikes. Keep heading right avoiding all the dropping spikes. Now you will come to a two right next to each other, if you don't want to take a hit, equip the time stopper and walk by these dropping spikes. Hop down the pit on the far right side now. Again you will come to a room that has a few platforms suspended above spikes with a gap in the middle. This time however you do not need to use any items, just jump down from the top platform, down to the little platform above the spikes, then jump into the gap. You will be in a pinkish/purplish room, this is the boss. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* The "Living room" ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Hmmm this seems suspicious, the music for a boss is playing, but where is the boss? You are inside the boss. Do you see those bricks? They will start to break off two at a time and form little robots. Use the bubble lead to take them out (finally a use for that crappy weapon). If they hit you they do massive damage, so be careful. You'll notice that as you kill more of them, they connect faster. One tip I have, is to wait until there is a block or two on the bottom that is open (IE the block has left it, no you won't fall through) and try to stand there as much as possible, that way the blocks can't sneak up from under you. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage Three: The sewage tunnels -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This level is kind of a pain. It's bubble man's lair revisited all over again, only this time the water looks like a sewage plant. Anyway, If you didn't get a chance to collect all of the power-up goodies from the last level, and you only have one or so lifes with low energy, just die. That way you won't have to waste time getting energy for all your weapons. Don't worry you'll still be in the same place. Now jump off the right side of the starting platform, and use the crash bombs on the wall to get the energy tank. Head down and to the left. Eventually you'll fall into the murky nasty water. You will see there is a ton of spikes all over the place, so don't fall into the pits. Another thing you'll want to take note of, are the big open pits. Really big fish will jump out of these, make sure you clear the water when jumping over one of these. Anyway, keep going to the right, jumping from ledge to ledge. Eventually you'll get to a ledge with spikes on the ceiling, run across to the right until you reach a pit with spikes on either side of the walls. This part is tricky, you need to jump in-between the spikes and go down, sounds easy right? Wrong, the spikes will shift, making you shift, or dead. I prefer the former of the two. At the bottom of this shaft you will come to two platforms, one will have spikes on the left side on the wall, the other will have spikes under it, just exercise caution when trying to get around them, take it slow and you shouldn't die. Hop down this shaft and stick to the right side, because at the bottom are two spikes that you won't see until it's too late. Hop out of the water, and kill the three robots shooting at you while you head to the right. This boss has a door, ooh you're climbing the corporate ladder. Like any good manager, this guy's door is always open, go on in and tell him why you deserve a "Promotion" to the guy who "fires" everybody! ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Gutsdozer ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* One thing to note, is that if you die, you won't spawn outside the door, you'll spawn at the mid-way point. Okay, the weapon of choice will be the quick boomerangs. You'll want to hop on his treads then let lose with them at his head. The Gutsdozer doesn't really have any good attacks, it's huge and easily dodged. So it's rolling attack isn't very effective. The other attack it has, is it reproduces these little guys that run at you from his chest. The best way to avoid them is just to stand next to his treads they'll jump right over you. Though you really shouldn't try to dodge them, just go up and whack him on the head with the quick boomerangs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage four: You are almost there -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've always wondered about Dr. Wily, now this just further confuses me. Why would he decorate his base of doom with bright lively colors? I think, black or white would be the only colors for a Doom base. Though that's just my opinion. This level involves tons of back tracking to get some of the good items. At the start of the level there is weapon energy pellets on either side. Charge up item one and item 2 because they are probably the ones that need it. Now climb up the ladder. Shoot the med-cap and continue up. Now, you can go to the right and grab the extra life down the ladder. Nope. You'll fall into one of many invisible pits. Anyway, keep climbing up, now you can go down and get that extra life. Climb all the way back up know and keep climbing, dodging the invisible pits as you go. Eventually you will come to a platform that is suspended over a spike strip, there is an invisible pit here, near the ladder. Don't chance it, use item 2 and surf across the platform. It beats losing a life. As you continue up the ladders you will come to three platforms, the bottom two containing one med-cap and the top one containing an energy tank. If you want to get that energy tank here's what you do: Kill the med-caps, go to the middle platform, then use item 1 a few inches in front of the energy tank above. You will float through the invisible pit, allowing you to grab the tank. Now go back to the ladder and keep on going up. You'll arrive on a flat floor, just go to the right and equip the metal blades. Then go down the ladder on the far right side. Now you will see the platform that floats along the white lines like in crash man's (?) level. This time though, the platform will be floating above spikes and you'll be going down instead of up. Again watch out for the floating cans or they can put a hurting on you. The first screen is pretty easy, just ride the platform and shoot the cans. The next screen gets a bit trickier. Now the next one, you will hop onto, you see that column and ledge right past the loop in the track? Hop onto that ledge. Then use Item 1 to get to the top and over to the ladder on the right. The next screen is just like the first one. When you get to the track right above the spikes, jump on to the big column and then back on the platform. The whole time shoot the cans (with the metal blades). The last screen, is pretty darn simple. Wait until the platform is at the bottom of the track, jump onto it, then onto that little stationary platform in the middle. From there use item 2 to surf across to the ladder. Now you will come to a big long flat level, there will be a few of the mech walkers, and a few pilots out of the cockpits of the mechs. Leave no should alive and you will get to the door. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* The Wall ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* The wall is less of a boss, and more of a puzzle. It's less of a puzzle if you have more than two lifes. Basically the only weapon that can be used here is the crash bombs. Your goal is to take out all the guns. Which means you should only take out the walls that are in your way. There is another way to do it however, if you have more than one life, shoot all the walls away, then die. Collect more energy for the crash bombs, come back and looky here, the walls will still be gone. So what you'll want to do is take out the guns this time. Bickity-bam, an easy puzzle solved, easier than it should have been. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The War Room -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we are, the last stage of Dr. Wily's castle. You will appear in a room, this room has many teleporters, behind each teleporter is a robot master. After you defeat each robot master you get an energy pellet. If you die, all the robot masters you have defeated will stay defeated. Only if you get a game over will they come back. This is by far the best level in the game, as it's mainly boss fights. Oh well, you're probably curious as to which master is behind which door, am I right? Here they are: ---------- ---------- | | | | | Heat | | Flash | | Man | | Man | | | | | | Use: | | Use: | | Bubble | | Metal | | Lead | | Blades | ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- | | | | | Air | | Metal | | Man | | Man | | | | | | Use: | | Use: | | Leaf | | Metal | | Shield | | Blades | ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- | | | | | | | | | Wood | | Bubble | | Quick | | Crash | | Man | | Man | | Man | | Man | | | | | | | | | | Use: | | Use: | | Use: | | Use: | | Metal | | Metal | | Time | | Air | | Blades | | Blades | | Stopper | | Shooter | ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- Take them out in any order you want too. I prefer to do a counter-clockwise motion. That's just my opinion though. As soon as you take out all the robot masters, a new teleporter will appear, at the center, this is Dr. Wily. Go Fight him. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Dr. Wily ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* This is it! The big fight, are you nervous? You should be. Dr. Wily is actually pretty simple to beat, his ship has two forms. For the first you'll want to equip the atomic heat, charge it all the way up and blast the front of his ship. For the second form take out the air shooter and put Wily to shame. That's it you've won! Just kidding. Dr. Wily will escape and you will go to a new level, what fun! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage six: No where to run for Dr. Wily -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This level is short, and has no enemies, one thing to watch out for is the liquid stuff that is falling from the ceiling, it will take a pretty good hunk out of your life if it hits you. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Wily final form ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* GAH!! Get it away! Dr. Wily is an Alien! Kill it! Kill it! Equip the bubble lead and lay waste to this creature of the night. Be sure to stay away from him, or he'll put a hurting on you. Kinda funny how the lamest weapon in the game saves the day. I quess I should've expected the Irony. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Buddha's insanely hard challenges -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- If you've never read one of my guides before (which is likely the case), I always do this little section, to challenge the reader, and add a little bit more game play and replayability to the game you got over-charged for. It goes like this, I think of a difficult challenge, or accomplish something that was rather difficult and you go try it, and be frustrated, and cry about how much of a better gamer I am than you. Just remember that I don't use cheats, so neither should you. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge one: Crash This! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The object of this challenge is simply, to beat Crash man using only the arm cannon. Now that may not be hard to some of you, but there is an added wrinkle here, do it without getting touched by crash man. If you can do that you are truly a gaming god. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge two: Items? We don't need no stinking Items! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remember in Heat man's stage that big long path of disappearing block over the lava pit? Go back to that, this time don't use any items. It's tricky as hell but it isn't impossible. I lost a controller to the wall in a fit of frustration trying this, so see if you can succeed, where I failed. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Thank yous and ass kissing by Happybuddha311 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- I would like to thank the following people, without witch the guide probably still would have come together, but I would look a lot worse than it does now. First off I'd Like to thank Pretty Boy Colin Moriarty, for letting me use some of his stats from his MM2 guide. I'd also like to thank him for telling me I had the ability to get this guide posted. I'd Also like to thank Devin Morgan, who puts up with all my complaining about stupid little things and gave me the confidence to write this guide. Next Up on the thank-yous is Brain Sulpher, who gave me a few transitions other than "Now you will do this" to make this guide slightly more readable. I would also like to thank CjayC, for posting this, and all of my other crappy writings on his great site, Gamefaqs. The Last person I'd like to thank is Chad Steele (BTB). By far, he was the most important person (other than me) in this guide. He gave me some motivation and ideas that are just wonderful, and he helped me through the paranoia I had while writing this guide at 4 in the morning. Chad has also inspired me to be the best writer I can be, and to entertain the people with great guides. Other Honorable mentions: 311 for giving me something to listen too while writing this. My bro for letting me use his voice recorder to write this. Zoop and Mcfadden for giving me some competition and motivation to finish this. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- About the Author -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- (Correct as of June 11th 2003) Hello, thank you for reading this guide. If you cared enough to read this far, I might as well entertain you. I'm a 16 year old Virgo and I will be a senior (when the school year starts again) at Millard North High School. In my free time I am either on the Gamefaqs message boards (Current events, The FAQ contributor Social Board, or the punk board), or playing my Xbox, Ps2, or my NES. With whatever time is left, I sell tacos in a little shack by the side of the road for little more than minimum wage (I recently got a Raise now I make $6 an hour! WOOO), which is slowly taking over my life with it's "OMG WE GIVE j00 more hours than j00 wantz0rz Benny FWARG!" attitude. Then I use my time machine to travel back in time, and fit playing hockey into my schedule. This will be my fifth FAQ/Walkthrough, and I feel that writing walkthroughs has really given me something better to do than watch some of the crap on television now days. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Legal Stuff ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This FAQ is for personal use only.
