To use this, if there's something you wish to find instantly in my FAQ, in the above table, on the left is the name of a section or sub-section. To the right is a weird code, like GOK5.1. Basically, if you wish to go to the section where I tell you about Goku under The Playable Characters Of The Story, on your Keyboard, hold Ctrl and then hit F and a window will open. Type in GOK5.1 and hit Find Next. It'll bring you to that section instantly. The code to reach the Table Of Contents is just that: Table Of Contents. I hope this makes browsing my FAQs easier for you. Enjoy! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= = I. Introduction . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [ INTR1 ] = =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Hello and welcome to another one of Kain Stryder's Walkthroughs. Well, this time, it's not a walkthrough, but more of a Famicom-WonderSwan Color Changes FAQ for Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball 3: Gokuuden. Just a quick thing I whipped up so people could see what was different with each game when using my walkthrough for each version of the game. Anyway, as usual, please use this guide only for your own use and do NOT edit it in any way, shape or form without my permission. I also do NOT want to see someone ripping this off as their own work and making a profit off it. (Oh, who am I kidding, who could make a profit off this guide.) So, yeah, please just use this for yourself and respect my wishes. Thank you. Also, this is only to be on GameFAQs and no other site, alright? Well, with that said, let's get down to it, shall we? Update: This Walkthrough is now available at IGN, Neoseeker and any other sites I've allowed via E-Mail to host this file. If I did not give you permission to host this FAQ on your site, then you're hosting it illegally and if you're reading this on a site with any variatin of "cheat" in its name, please notify me so I may take the necessary action. Thanks. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= = II. Current Updates . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [ CURUP2 ]= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 5/14/07 - Just writing in to let any readers know if they E-Mail me any questions or comments, that my address still works. My willpower to write walkthroughs over the last few years died, mostly to college and real life, but I may just start this up again. Feel free to write in, thanks. 2/24/04 - I've completed this guide and labled it as the final version. I'm rather sure I've found all the major changes to the game, but if I find any more or if someone thinks they found one, submit it to me and I'll throw it up and give you credit for it. Until then, though, don't expect me to update unless it's to reformat the guide or something, but until next time, enjoy! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= = III. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions.) . . . . . . . . . . . . [ FAQ3 ] = =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= There are none...yet. If I get any, I'll add some up, so start E-Mailing me so I can add to this area! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= = IV. Version Changes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [ VERCH4 ]= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Note: This changes tell you what's different in the WonderSwan Color Version, not in the Famicom Version, so basically, ANYTHING here is not in the Famicom Version. - During Battles, Start->Items appears to let you know you can bring up the Menu for your Menu/Battle Cards. - Spaces on the World Map are changed and Box Icons only pop up when you are near them. (Spaces you land on are all colored differently, letting you know what type of Space it is.) - You can travel back and forth now when you select a Card. Going backwards adds Dots back to your Card, so you can backtrack if you overshoot a path or something. - Experience is not shown on the World Map/Battle anymore. - You see your Enemies in Battle now with a background, then when you fight, you see the combat, then it goes back to the background with you and your Enemy getting ready for the next round. - Battles appear to be less frequent. - During Battle, after Cards are chosen, whatever the outcome, your Card and the Enemy's Card flashes to show if they are Attacking or Defending. - Everyone's Sprites change based on the story, instead of staying the same for most parts. (Example: When Yamucha cuts his hair, it shows and when Goku gets the uniform from Master Roshi, his outfit changes.) - You can now use Menu Cards in Battle. - Kanji seems to have greatly replaced the Katakana and Hiragana throughout the game. Bummer for those of use who can't read Kanji that well. - Special attacks now have awesome scenes when executed, for Goku and the Enemies as well. - The Scroll Card you recieve from Bulma is now an Item and is not used automatically anymore. Thank you, GOD. - The max amount of Items you can hold for each Menu/Battle Card is 3. (You can have 9 of the Meat Card, though.) This MAY still hold true to the original version of the game, although I'm not 100% sure. - You can only hold 1 Capsule Airplane. I believe this holds true to the original, though I only got one of them in the Famicom Version one time ever. - How many of a certain Item you have remaining appears in the Item Menu during the screen where you are talking to people, as well as every other Menu where you can use Menu Cards. - The Y2 Button on the WonderSwan Color makes the Menu disappear while on the World Map. Press it again to make it re-appear. - When you check the World Map option, you can now see locations and people, as well as check them out. - Of course, the game has had a graphical makeover and now sports various images and backgrounds for both Battles, places you visit, etc. - Apparently, you can meet Master Roshi before going to the Bandit Gang's Cave and even get Kinto'un. I assume if you take too long and possible go to the Cave first, then maybe fight Yamucha, then go back to Master Roshi, you'll instead get Baby Gamera, but I'm not 100%, though. - Moving into a large empty spot no longer counts as a "free" Space, as in a free movement with no reduction from your Dots. - Goku apparently can do the Kamehameha as soon as he sees Master Roshi do it, instead of waiting until the 21st Tenkaichi Boudouki. - The picture of Kami Sama or Pikkoro at Capsule Corperation after Boss Carrot leaves is no longer there. - Turtle Shells and Weighted Clothing show up in the Menu Card area now. - Battles and everything are MUCH faster now. - In the WonderSwan Color Version, you'll meet Shao on your way to meet Pilaf, along with Yamucha. - Pilaf's Palace is now a "maze". Sort of. Seriously, follow the path and let the game do the rest. Just like in the Manga/Anime, they end up trapped, then you see a bit more, Shenlong is summoned, everyone's out into a different room and then Goku goes Oozaru and wrecks the place, "saving" them all. - To my knowledge, the instant Game Overs are gone and instead of dying, you only take 5 damage and when you do die, you lose all your Menu/Battle Cards and then you are instantly revieved and placed at the area where you last died. Kind of a harsh treatment, but it's better than starting all over again, unless you have a Password written down that's recent. - If you manage to win the 21st Tenkaichi Boudouki with Goku, it doesn't give you a scene like in the original version, yet if you win the 22nd Tenkaichi Boudouki, it does...odd. - Penguin Village is now in the game and Goku chases Buruu there. You also get to play a small scene as Arale, as you use her to kick Buruu across the world and getting 2 Dragon Balls from Android #8. - Tao Pai Pai now shows up at Korin Tower and kills Bora. - At the Red Ribbon Army HQ, you now storm it and attack it, instead of just fighting Tao Pai Pai and Jiyaket Suto. There's a maze, but it's not hard to navigate and you just fight Red Ribbon Enemies along the way, until you meet up with Commander Red and Assistant Black. - When you use Kuririn and Yamucha during the Battles at Urani Baba's Palace, this time, you actually have a chance of winning with them. - A scene where Bora is ressurected has been added in. - There's now a scene where Pikkoro gets Eternal Youth from Shenlong. - During the storming of The King's Castle, Pikkoro's Men no longer drop Dragon Balls for you to acquire. - During the 23rd Tenkaichi Boudouki, Goku doesn't go to meet Chi Chi at Pleasent Mountain, (It was known as Mount Frying Pan, but the flames have been out since the start of Dragon Ball and this is its original name.) but instead fights her at the 23rd Tenkaichi Boudouki. (She's the ONLY new Enemy in the game and gives you 100 Experience once you beat her. This could vary a bit, depending on which Weighted Clothing you're wearing.) - During the 23rd Tenkaichi Boudouki, you play as Shen when fighting Ma Junior. I am NOT sure if anything changes if you can beat Ma Junior with him, but due to story purposes, I imagine nothing changes and he still attempts the Mafuba, fails and Goku fights him next. - Once Ma Junior is defeated and during the credits, wait until Arale appears and press the A Button to fight her. Good luck beating her, as her Mouth Blast can instantly kill you. Though, what's different is you are instantly healed after fighting Ma Junior this time and if she kills you, you can continue to try as long as you want, fully healed each time. I'm not sure if Radditsu is in this still, as he may come after you beat Arale, but he never once shows up during the credits. Oh well... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= = V. Credits . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [ CRED5 ]= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Well, here's where I give credit to the ones that helped make this guide possible. Here's the following people I'd like to thank: Akira Toriyama - For creating Dragon Ball, duh. Thanks for all you've done and even though I'm not a huge fan of your other work, I still enjoyed Dragon Ball while it lasted. Thanks! Bandai - For making this game of course. It's a GREAT remake of Dragon Ball 3: Gokuuden and one of the best Dragon Ball games of all time. Wish your WonderSwan Color lasted longer, as it was an amazing system, but, eh, thanks anyway for it. Myself - For writing this guide. Thanks for reading it and I hope it helped you in playing the game. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= = VI. My Words . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [ MYWO6 ]= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Thanks for reading my guide, first of all.
