What's New v1.21-v1.22 -Fixed Spelling on Timmer eggs -Added minor commentary for Sub Eggs -Revamped page a bit. v1.25 -Fixed grammar/spelling errors -Minor fixes v1.26 -Minor fixes (again) This is a basic guide for this game (What it is, how do you do this, etc..) This is NOT a guide on how to shoot for accuracy, better shooting tips, etc. Each person has their own style on how to do it. I will say a few things when you get to descriptions (watch for patterns, etc). If you want to contribute about this, you can e-mail me and I'll add it to this FAQ. Welcome to Egg Venture. This game is a fun game from the serious to kids wanted to shoot things. The bad part is when you need to pay to play. If you are into shooting fun things, then this is the game for you. This game is similar to Metro Police Trainer (MPT) where you shoot different things for practice and/or accuracy. This is a shooting type of game. There is *no* scoring, just trying to meet the quota or I should say target number (goal). You don't have to "RELOAD" every time similar to MPT. When you hit an item, it will show the word "HIT" on the upper left hand corner of the screen. Ranking ------- There are 3 areas of ranking..You first start with rank #3 when you first start the game. There are: Egg-Head (#1-29), Eggcellent (#30-44), Eggspert (#45-48). The higher the ranking, the harder it gets. The highest ranking you get is 48. After that, you go down 3 notches to 45 (If you do well, you'll see-saw back and forth). The ranking is based on your performance. Lose Life --------- Let me put it this way, I should say points instead of lives because in this one, people don't shoot at you (lose energy), but I'm saying it because I'm use to it (when playing Area 51, Lethal Enforcers, etc). You will see the number of lives on the lower left or right hand corner of the screen. Pictures are smiling eggs. If you accidentally shot an egg or an egg that is going to be lost (except "Scrambled Eggs" see description of stages), then you see a red "X" with the word "NO!" on it. That means, you made a mistake and it will cost you. Similar to MPT, if you do not meet the quota (target number) you will lose a life. Lose all 4 lives, game over (unless you want to continue). You can also lose a life if you Shoot Good Eggs and/or Lost Good Eggs. So be careful. In some stages, you can lose up to 3 lives for not doing well. I never have that happen to myself, but it is possible. When you lose a life, you will hear a screaming sound and you say to yourself "Oops" or whatever. Rules for Continuing -------------------- If you want to continue, that would be fine. However, if you make mistakes in quota or eggs involved from the previous one, you will lose a life. For example, you have one (1) life left. You failed quota, and accidentaly shot an egg, therefore, game over. You decided to continue and from the results from eggs accidentaly shot, you lose a life from the previous one so you will start with 2 or 3 lives instead of 4. Best advice is to start over, but if you want to continue with the same day or next new day, you may do so. Explanation ----------- You're thinking that if you accidentally shoot 2 good eggs, you will lose 2 lives. This is false. You will lose 1 life for accidentally shot good eggs regardless on how many you accidentally shot. This is the same for how many eggs lost. Good Eggs Shot is when you accidentally shoot eggs that you're not supposed to shoot. Good Eggs Lost is when you did not hit an object in time and the object will hit an eggs which you know that it will break. (Ex. In "Scrambled Eggs," you need to shoot anvils. If you don't shoot the anvil(s) as they drop, it will hit the egg, causing it to break and you lose a life for that). Start of Game ------------- When you *first* put in your quarter(s), will need to align the target. It will ask you to shoot the target 3 times. If you did this poorly, you will not be able to do well in this game. You will start in Day 1. There 4 activities to choose from. Shoot the one that you want. If you pass the quota (regardless of eggs lost, shot), you will see a blue check mark indicated that you complete that one successfully. If you did not meet the quota, you will see a red "X" which means that you did not do well in that area. Each one is different from the other. If you completed 4 areas and still have a life, then you will go on to Day 2 and do another 4, Day 3, etc.. I don't know how far it will go. My highest Day is Day 8 (in one setting, w/o continue). Each Day, you do the activities at random. Some might the same as you did in the previous day, others are different or new. As the ranking gets higher or as you get better, it becomes harder. Timed activities do not get harder, it just remains the same. When you choose an activity that you would like to do, there are pictures that may give an idea on what are you going to do. If you see a picture of a clock that is associated with a picture, then it is a timed activity. In a timed activity, you have a limited about of time to shoot different things. The time is indicated on the top of the screen where you see two sharp objects from opposite sides of the screen and move closer to the egg which is at the center. Time will end when the sharp object hits the egg. Usually, you will have ~15-20 seconds to do these. You will not see Good Eggs in timed sessions except "Bottled Eggs" stage where you see good eggs. When you have chosen an activity, you will be given a set of instructions on what to shoot as indicated on red letters "BAD!!" under it and not to shoot, which is "Good Eggs" as indicated in green "DON'T SHOOT." You are given a quota is to how many objects that you need to shoot/hit and you try to reach that goal. After you did the activity, you will see the results in how many objects that you shot. Sometimes, you'll get nervous as the number adds up as you try to met or beat the goal. Then you will show how many Good Eggs Shot and Good Eggs Lost. Hopefully, it would be zero (0). Quota ----- Each activity has a different quota and you try to reach that goal. Unlike MPT, the quota will be the same regardless if you did it poorly. So if the quota is 50, and you get a 45, you fail. If you get to do it the second time, (and thereafter) the target number will _still_ be the same. You will not hear a sound indicating that you reached the quota, just keep shooting until you see the results. Don't worry about quota, or a least, keep it at the back of your mind and try your best. 2 Player Game ------------- In a 2 player game, the quota is usually 1/2 the usual quota for a 1 player game. (I'm not sure about this since I hardly see 2 players playing this game). Not all stages are 1/2 the usual quota. Some stages have a quota that is the same (i.e. Timed Stages). If you would like to contribute more about this, please let me know. When you finished the activity, it will first total up the shots you made for player 1, then player 2. Same thing for eggs shot/lost. Stages/Activities ----------------- I'll name the Activity, what the quota is (1 player, some 2 player), and level of difficulty (easy, medium, hard). You'll do these activities (or not) in no particular order. NOTE: I've rated the level of difficulty based on my experience and other people's observations. =========================================================================== Timmer Eggs Level: Easy Quota (1P): 60 This is a timed activity. You shoot red targets around. The targets are small. You have 20 seconds to shoot as many red targets as you can in the time permitted. Target (big) Level: Easy Quota (1P): 50 This is a timed activity. Same as timber eggs, but the targets are larger. You have only 15 seconds to shoot as many as you can. Target Eggs Level: Easy Quota (1P): 18 Max hit: 20 Shoot the Target with the egg that has a black patch over the eye. Watch for patterns (sequence). If you missed 3, you will lose quota, thus, lose a life. Target Eggs (Timed) Level: Easy Quota (for both 1 and 2 players): 60 Same as Target eggs, but this is timed. There are no good eggs so you don't have to worry about them. You have about 20 seconds to shoot as many as you can. UFO Eggs Level: Medium Quota (1P): 50 Max hit: 55 You see 3 eggs on the left side of the screen. You're in outer space as rocks (asteroids) come by towards them. Shoot them. Space Eggs Level: Medium/Hard Quota (1P): 50 Max Hit: 55 There are 2 eggs floating in the middle of the screen. You're in outer space as you see rocks (asteroids) coming from all directions. Shoot them. Lights I (Timed) Level: Easy Quota (for both 1 and 2 players): 42 I'll say I because there is another one that has the same title. This is a timed stage, shoot the lights. You'll see 2 at a time. You have 20 seconds to shoot as many as you can. You may need to do it fast. Lights II (Timed) Level: Very Easy Quota (1P): 40 Max hit: 49 This is a timed stage. You see blue eggs. Shoot them as they get smaller. After the smallest possible, they'll break. After the last piece is shot, the stage ends. You have 20 seconds. I'm sure that most of you can pass this successfully. Ducks Level: Hard (a shy under Very Difficult) Quota (1P): 70 People had told me that this stage is hard. I don't know why. Similar to what you see in the carnival, you shoot ducks, but don't shoot eggs, though. If you did, you're SOL. If you hit ducks, you'll see the word "PING" indicated that you hit the objects. Factory Eggs Level: Easy/Medium Quota (1P): 50 Max Hit: 55-58 (varies) Shoot the targets that are attached on top of the eggs on the conveyer belt before it hits the sharp point. Try to get the rhythm or pattern going. If you hit the target, you'll see the word "PING" indicated that you hit the target. Plane Eggs Level: Very Difficult Quota (1P): 40 Max Hit: 45 This stage is not easy. You see eggs in an airplane as it fly across the screen. At the same time, red and green balloons (helium) goes up. Shoot them. If the balloon hits an airplane, it will break and you will lose a life. If you're not careful, you can lose up to 3 lives (as I mentioned earlier). Fish Eggs Level: Medium/Hard Quota (1P): 32 Max Hit: 34 Quota (2P): 16 You're underwater. There are 3 eggs in the center of the screen wearing on a snorkel. There are green fish swims by, aims towards the eggs. Shoot them. If you miss 3, too bad. Brave Eggs Level: Hard Quota (1P): 60 There are palm trees on the bottom of the screen. The bad eggs would have a black patch over the eye. The eggs will fall from the sky with a parachute attached to them. Shoot them. Be careful, the good/bad eggs may overlap so if you accidentally hit a good egg, it's your loss. Sub Eggs Level: Varies (depending on your skill) Quota (for 1 and 2 players): 1 It's underwater. Your mission is to shoot 1 (just 1) sub across the screen. A red target is on the tail of the sub. Each time you shoot, the sub moves. You'll see the word "PING" when you it the target. Keep doing it until you don't see it anymore. Be careful though. You have 3 chances (for 1 player) to do this. I believe only 1 shot or 2 chances for 2 players. If you hit anywhere besides the target, it will break. Look here...I've noticed when they play this type..people are aggressive in trying to shoot 2 or 3 subs home....And what happens....they accidentaly break it. You ONLY need to shoot one (1), JUST 1 sub to pass.. If you disagree with this, e-mail me. Scrambled Eggs Level: Medium/Hard Quota (1P): 28 Max Hit: 32 Quota (2P): 15 There are 3 eggs on the boardwalk. Eggs have umbrellas under them to protect (try) from anything falling. Anvils are falling down towards them. Shoot the anvils. If the anvils hit the eggs, it will break, turn them into egg yolks (like when you first crack an egg), thus, lose a life. Saloon Eggs Level: Medium Quota (1P): 36 There are nine doors. The doors are similar to what you see in western times or movies that you saw. The door opens and there are good eggs and bad eggs. Shoot the bad eggs that have a black patch on it. The bad eggs occasionally have a gun and they shoot you. You will not lose a life if they shot at you (object of this game is to shoot eggs, not people). Watch for a sequence. Bottled Eggs (Timed) Level: Very Difficult Quota (1P): 45 Shoot the bottles, glass, cups, etc. but try NOT to shoot the eggs, though. You have ONLY 15 seconds to shoot as many as you can. You can lose 1 or 2 lives if your unsuccessful. Stupid Eggs Level: Medium Quota (1P): 50 Quota (2P): 25 Pan frys has 2 eggs over easy and 1 bacon strip (in the pan). You will see 12 windows. Shoot the fry pans.. Fish Eggs II Level: Medium Quota (1P): 54 Max Hit: 55 I'll say FE II because there was already a name for it. There are 3 eggs (in snorkels) are floating on top of the water. There are purple minds that have spikes that go up from the bottom. Shoot them. If you miss 2, you will be sorry. Heleeggs Level: Medium/Hard Quota (1P): 40 Max Hit: 47 There are spikes on the bottom of the screen. You see an egg that has a red target on the right side attached to it as it descends from the top. On top of the egg, there is a beanie propeller so as you shoot the target, the egg will go up. When you shoot the target, you'll see the word "Ping" indicated that you shot it. The object of this is one is you try to shoot the target before it hits bottom or you will suffer consequences. Be careful, some eggs may overlap each other so try not to hit the "good eggs." If you have any additions, corrections, suggestions, etc..... e-mail me at haroldr@hotmail.com. This is the end. c. 1997-1998 by Poln.
