ABOUT THE AUTHOR ======================================================================= 1. INTRODUCTION ======================================================================= Hello and welcome to my guide for the Namco-developed XBOX title "Breakdown."(BD for short) Breakdown is a fun, challenging game that puts a new spin on the first-person-perspective genre. While you ARE able to use guns, just a couple, the emphasis of the game is on hand- to-hand combat. By using the triggers and moving the left stick in different directions you can pull off a variety of fighting attacks, all from the first-person viewpoint. It's a novel approach that a couple games have tried to pull off in the past, but this is the first game that really executes it well, in my opinion. Throw in an interesting sci-fi story and the usual, excellent Namco production values and you've got Breakdown. Make no mistake about it, this is a Namco game through and through. It's fast-paced, looks great, and is genuinely fun to play. However, because it's a Namco game it also has a few of the typical Namco drawback: It's not that deep, meaning it has that "arcade" feel to it. It's pretty short, and there's no real incentive to play it again once you've gone through it once, maybe twice, unless you want to beat it on a higher difficulty level. In my opinion this is a perfect rental game, and only a buy for someone who can REALLY get into action games. My goal with this guide is to create a complete and comprehensive walkthrough for the game, gameplay pointers and any extras found in the game will be covered as well. Because much of the terrain in BD is pretty stale the walkthrough isn't chock full of wonderous descriptions of the layout, it's alot of "turn right and go down the next dark grey hallway, go in the dark grey door on the right into the next dark grey room. Dark grey, dark grey, dark grey, etc etc." But if you're checking the guide as you play along, you shouldn't have any trouble knowing where you are or where to go. In the rare instance there's a distinguishable landmark I use it to help you(and me!) get your bearings. Also, while I generally DO give you tips on how to beat certain enemies, especially the first time you encounter them, I don't give you step-by-step instructions on how to beat every single enemy you encounter. As you play you should be able to beat lone T'lan Warriors without any assistance, so I don't go into too much detail for every encounter. If it's a special instance, though, like facing two T'lan Warriors surrounded by a ring of flames or something then I DO get a little more in-depth on how to get past those parts. Alright, that's enough blabbering outta me. Let's get to the good stuff! Enjoy! ======================================================================= 2. CONTROLS AND GAMEPLAY ======================================================================= =================== 2-1. BASIC CONTROLS =================== ------ ------- BUTTON COMMAND (Default controls) ------ ------- Left Stick Move forward, back / Strafe left, right -click -Guard Right Stick Turn left, right / Look up,down -click -Crouch L Trigger Left Attack / Reload gun R Trigger Right Attack / Shoot gun A Button Auto Target, Switch Auto-Target B Button Cancel menu selection, No use during game X Button Access/Use items Y Button Switch weapons WHITE Throw Grenade BLACK Jump / Evade moves --------------------------- 2-1-1. MOVEMENT AND JUMPING --------------------------- Since the game takes place entirely in a First-Person viewpoint the game has typical FPS controls. The Left Stick controls the movement and the Right Stick handles the looking(like Mouselook on a PC game). Hitting the Left Stick up or down will move you forward or backward in the game, naturally you move faster when going forward than backwards. Hitting the Left Stick left or right will cause you to strafe in that direction, strafing means your view stays straight ahead but you move to the side. Strafing is an important movement fundamental in any FP game, and Breakdown is no different, whenever you're going around a corner you'll want to strafe so you're already looking down the hallway to se any enemies. Just look at the wall before the turn, then strafe out into the open. This also lets you duck back into cover if you're getting shot at. It's important to use the Right Stick to look around your surroundings to find any items lying on the ground, or for a hole in the ceiling you may be able to climb up into, etc etc. It's also quite handy in the turning department, something you'll be doing plenty of in the game. You can also crouch by clicking the Right Stick down like a button, this will cause you to crouch. Crouching is key to getting through certain areas in the game where you can't stand upright, it's usually pretty obvious when you need to crouch so don't worry about it. Crouching when in gun combat can also help you take less hits. The Black Button is used to jump. What more needs to be said? Jump over small gaps, from platform to platform, over small fires, and so on. Just like crouching, you'll probably realize when you have to jump. Jumping near a ledge or horizontal pipe on the wall will automatically cause you to grab onto the ledge or pipe. You can then pull yourself up, or move across the pipe using the Left Stick. Your Evade moves are also handled by the Black Button, evading is just what it sounds like: quickly getting out of the way of an attack. There are two types of Evades, the sideflip and the backflip. To do the side flip simply hit Black twice (quickly) while strafing left or right. The side flip is useful when dodging a single, slow opponent or a group of enemies shooting at you(it's not as useful as COVER in that situation though!). The backflip is perform by hitting Black twice while moving backwards. This is good for dodging a charging enemy or avoiding getting surrounded by a group of enemies. It's not so useful against a shooting opponent because it doesn't change where they have to aim, so you'll still get nailed. ---------------- 2-1-2. ACCESSING ---------------- Accessing is BD's way of saying "use." The X Button handles all the Acessing in BD. When the little ACCESS icon appears in the top right corner of the gamescreen, that means there's an item nearby you can use. Usually the item is obvious, like a soda machine or a button by a door, but sometimes you may be too far to actually use the item but the game shows the ACCESS icon anyway. If you see the ACCESS icon pop up and aren't sure what you can pick up or use, then just take a look around the immediate area with the Right Stick. Hitting X once will bring up your hand, but it doesn't automatically grab the item or hit the switch. The first X Button press is basically just acknowledging the ACCESS command and preparing to interact with whatever is setting off the ACCESS icon. Hitting X again makes you acutally pick up the item(if it's within reach), but you STILL won't use it. Hitting X a third time will finally make you read, eat, hit, collect, etc the item and move on. So, if you want to pick items up quickly, get in the habit of hitting X three times in a row. ------------------------ 2-1-3. GUNS AND GRENADES ------------------------ You'll be able to use a few different kinds of guns in the game, the first half of the game you're stuck with only the Pistol and the Sub Machine Gun, but there are a couple more to be found later on. To use a gun, cycle through your weapons with Y until the gun you want is showing on the screen. Unlike a regular FPS game, there isn't a crosshair on the screen the whole time in BD. Instead you have to use the Auto-Target feature with the A Button. If there's an enemy on the screen somewhere, just hit A and a small circle will appear on him. This is the auto target, your shots will now focus on him until he'd dead or you switch/cancel the auto target. To switch between target just hit the A Button until the enemy you want to shoot is targetted. To cancel the auto target, in case you have to run for cover or something, just hit the X Button. Grenades are great for taking out a group of three of more enemies, particularly soldiers, without taking too much damage. The only problem is you have to toss the grenade just right to make the explosion affect the right area. WHen you plan on tossing a grenade, it's usually best to autotarget one of the enemies you want to throw the 'nade at, then turn it off and look OVER the enemy, and then toss it. This helps the grenade get a little more distance. Grenades are thrown using the White Button. --------------- 2-1-4. FIGHTING --------------- Ahh, fighting. Now THIS is what the game is all about. To fight, select you fists as weapons using the Y button then auto target an enemy and when you get close your fists will stay up. This is kinda like "fight mode," your control doesn't change or anything but the game recognizes that you want to fight rather than move. Use the two Triggers, L and R, in combinaion with the Left Stick to pull off fighting moves. You begin the game with a decent array of combos, and throughout the game you learn special Skill moves that use T'langen as you use them. In this section I'll just stick to the basic fighting moves, check out the Skills and their commands and uses in the EXTRAS -> SKILLS section. First, I'll go over the L Trigger moves, or ones that start with the L Trigger anyway, and then do all the R Trigger moves. The quickest, and weakest, attack you have is the Jab. To Jab simply pull the L Trigger while stationary. The Jab isn't very useful by itself, but it's great at opening up combo opportunities and interupting an enemy's attack. Next up is the High Kick, one of my personal favorites. It's a slow but powerful attack and can knock an enemy away from you and onto the floor. This is handy when two or more stronger foes are bearing down on you. To do the High Kick hold UP on the Left Stick and pull the L Trigger. The last single strike L move is the Backfist Strike. It's a medium strength and speed attack that can knock an enemy back a step or two. To perform a Backfist Strike move the Left Stick right and hit the L Trigger You have two combos that start with the L Trigger: The One-Two Punch and the One-Two Punch, Right Kick. To do the 1-2 Punch move, just hit the L Trigger then the R Trigger in quick succession. You'll do a jab then a straight. This is a great, quick combo to drain away an enemy's energy without knocking them down. Pull off a couple 1-2's then an uppercut or high kick and you'll have most enemies reeling. If you hit the R Trigger once more you'll add in a Right Kick after the 1-2 punch, throw it in if you want to knock the enemy away. Now the moves that begin with the R Trigger. The Straight Punch has a little more "oomph" behind it and is almost as fast as the jab, but there aren't as many combos that start off of it. To do a Straight Punch hit the R Trigger while stationary. You can add a Right Kick after the Straight Punch by hitting the R Trigger again. The Right Kick isn't as strong as the High Kick but it still knocks enemies back a small distance. The Uppercut is the strongest single hit move in your arsenal. It knocks enemies FAR back and onto the ground and does big damage. The only down side to the uppercut is it's slow start up speed, it's possible for an enemy to nail you before you pull the uppercut off. This move is indespensible when facing 2 or more powerful enemies. You can knock one, or two, away for a short time and work on the remaining enemy. To do the Uppercut hold the Left Stick left and hit the R Trigger. Sliding uses both Triggers. Simply hit L+R as you are running forward and you'll do a baseball slide that hits the enemy's legs. I don't find this move to be that useful, it doesn't do much damage and it doesn't knock the enemy down at all. NOTE: There's a bunch of other moves and combo that you learn during the course of the game but aren't told about. I hope to compile a list of the moves in the next revision. ======================== 2-2. SPECIFIC ENEMY TIPS ======================== --------------- 2-2-1. SOLDIERS --------------- Soldiers are scattered throughout the game and always come in packs of 3 or 4. The bes way to deal with soldiers is by using the most powerful gun you have to take them down one by one. Find some cover(behind a pole, around a corner) and target one of them, then step out and shoot until he's down and step back into cover. Repeat until they're all dead. If you have Grenades feel free to use them as well. All the soldiers shoot in the same two-burst pattern. Meaning they'll fire in two bursts and then pause, when they pause is when you want to step out and attack them If you ever have to face soldiers with your bare fists, don't advance on them out in the open UNTIL you've learned how to Guard against bullets. And even then you'll want to stick to cover and try to make them come to you. If they're in a group of 4 or so, try to draw a couple of them away from the others. Divide and conquer. Follow the same "two burst" method and guard until they're done shooting their two bursts of fire, then let your guard down and attack. Don't forget to check the bodies of dead soldiers to get health and ammo and grenades. Just get close to a body and hit X to "Access" it. --------------------- 2-2-2. T'LAN WARRIORS --------------------- T'Lan Warriors are the "grunts" of the fighting enemies. You'll find them througout the game. Typically they like to do their shoulder charge move as they advance towards you. Either back away from it or Guard it, or you can even try to interupt it with a quick 1-2 Punch move. After you've faced a single T'lan Warrior a couple times they shouldn't be a problem at all. Only when they come in groups do you really have to worry. If that's the case, you HAVE to seperate them by using Uppercuts and High Kicks to stand a chance(especially early in the game). Uppercut one away from you and then switch your target to the remaining T'Lan Warrior and try to take him out before the firt recovers. In groups of 3 or more just knock them back as they come at you and try to keep them all in front of you(Backflip works well for that). As you progress in the game and learn more Skills facing groups of T'Lan Warriors gets easier and easier. Don't forget to collect their energy once they're dead. Red refills your health and blue refills your T'langen(once it's unlocked, of course). ------------------------ 2-2-3. "SMALL CREATURES" ------------------------ Also called "bugs" or little annoying exploding ASBAHBSAWQS'S! They're little and they crawl along the ground in groups. If you don't hit them they jump at your head and explode. If you shoot them or toss a grenade at a pack of them on the ground they'll explode and take out a bunch of other bugs with them. You'll hear their tell-tale "squeeking" when a pack of bugs are around. Just look at the ground a little and keep hitting A to target them. -------------------- 2-2-4. ASSAULT T'LAN -------------------- Assault T'lans are T'lans that can shoot lasers. They have 3 attacks, the basic 3 shot small laser, the standing big shot, and the kneeling big shot. The only one you have to worry about is the kneeling big shot since it knocks you over and does some big damage. When facing Assault T'lans you want to use cover to get close to them and then rush up and take them out quickly. Once you learn the Slide Upper move (L+R and up while moving ahead, then R Trigger when you hit the slide) you can kill them easily. If you don't have the luxury of cover when facing them, sidestep to avoid their shots as you approach, then slide when you get in range to throw off their next barrage. If you see them kneeling down for a big shot, try to slide and knock them out of it. WHen facing a pack, if you don't have Boost(or enough T'langen to use it) then just take them out one by one with the Slide Upper and then turn quickly to the next one and do another, then another, and on and on. -------------------- 2-2-5. STEALTH T'LAN -------------------- Stealth T'lan are quick, but weak. They're main trait is the fact that they can cloask them selves and kinda blend in with the brackground. You can't target a cloaked Stealth T'lan, but you can still hit it if you can get close. If you're only facing a single Stealther, then just keep your eye on them and circle strafe around them until they attack and then counter attack. If you're facing a group, keep them all in front of you and either Shock Wave when you learn it to knock them all down, or pick one to Slide Upper and kill off, then back away and regroup and then do it again. --------------------- 2-2-6. GUARDING T'LAN --------------------- These are the toughest enemies in the entire game. Anytime you have to face two or more you're in for a hard time. They're fast and strong and most importnatly, they block most of your attacks. The Shock Wave is a good choice to knock them back and then run up and finish them off, but you can also try to sidestep their attacks and then attack with a quick 1-2, kick combo or something similar. Once you learn Boost it makes dealing with these guys MUCH easier. You can Boost as they approach and then try to get behind them and wail away. Once you know the Neck Breaker move (L+R+down when behind) you can take them down quickly while boosted. -------------------- 2-2-7. "FLYING ORBS" -------------------- The Flying orbs float in the air in packs of three or more, they fly at you when you get close and explode. Just like their bug cousins, shoot them from afar to make them explode and take out the rest of the pack. ------------------ 2-2-8. HEAVY T'LAN ------------------ Heavy T'lan are the strongest enemies in the game, and they're actually pretty quick for their size. It's quite intimidating to see two or three lumbering toward you at once. In most stages you'll only face one or two at a time, and when you do they usually have an area that they stay around. You can exploit this by luring the Heavy to the "border" of it's area and then pelting it with a Pulse shot to weaken it, then running in and slide uppering it when it's down. If you get in trouble, just back away to the border. When facing them in packs, and with no border or set ground they stay in, then use a Shockwave to knock them all down and then pick one to Slide Upper a number of times while it's trying to get back up to finish it off. Usually three Slide Uppers will kill a heavy after a Shock Wave or two. ======================================================================= 3. WALKTHROUGH ======================================================================= This Walkthrough was made by playing the game on Normal, but the tactics should work for any difficulty level. The only difference between difficult levels is the amount of damage you give and take from enemies. In Hard you do less and take more, and in Extreme you do very little damage and take ALOT. To get Extreme Difficulty you have to beat the game in Normal or Hard mode. There's also an Easy Mode where you do more damage and take less. Please note that the game isn't really divided into "levels" like a typical game. There's really only 2 "halves" to the game, but I've tried to split the Walkthrough up into smaller chunks to help people find the info they need faster. I've used the Save Game name for the section of the game when possible, and I've tried to seperate according to major developments or scene changes in the game. Also, the Select Options throughout the game, when you have to choose how to answer a question and do something, don't affect the path of the game. The only one that does is at the end of the game, but we'll cover that when we get to it :) So just choose whatever you want to for the most part, you don't have to listen to me. Have fun! ============= 3-1. PROLOGUE ============= You wake up on a bed, unable to move. Use the Right Stick to look around for a second and Alex will begin teleporting in and out of the room. Hit UP on the Left Stick when prompted and you'll get off the bed. Listen to the scientist, then go through the door on the left. Follow the hallways until you see the signs for the rehab rooms 1,2, and 3. Turn left and then left again into room 1. Hit Y to answer the question when prompted(or X, it doesn't matter), then stand in the red circle in the room. Look down like the scientist says then move on to room 2, go right out of room 1, then left to the end of the hall and it's on the left. In room 2, the desk is on the left. Hit X to pick it up, then X again to keep it. Move to the door with the little console next to it, on the opposite wall, and use the key card. Go down the steps and then jump over the small gap. Crouch under the ledge, then fall into the small pit and face the ladder, climb up it. Go over the small platform and down the next ladder. Then turn left and crouch to go through the narrow passage. Turn right and jump up to grab the bar, move across the gap using the bar and then drop down on the other side. Go left and climb up the platform, then exit Room 2. Go right and then quickly left to get to room 3. Go left into the room then pick up the gun and clip next to the door. When the targets come out use the A Button to switch between them, shoot the red or blue target as the scientist tells you. Move into the area where the targets were and follow the commands to perform the hand to hand moves. Once that's done, put the gun back as prompted then exit room 3. Go right out of room 3, then left and go all the way back to the room you started in. Get the vest on the desk to the left of the bed, then read the clipboard if you want. Eat the burger when you're ready to advance the story along. Once you've eaten the burger, watch the cutscene(ewww). Use Y to ask Alex who she is, then get off the bed with her help. Now the real game begins. ========================= 3-2. MAIN RESEARCH CENTER ========================= Take one of the guns off the dead soldiers and exit the room, go back throught the hall towards the 3 rehab rooms. When you get near room 1, three soldiers will be waiting. Shoot the first two, then move up and shoot the third around the corner near room 3(remember to hit A to switch between targets). Pick up ammo from one of the soldiers, and a ration bar from the 3rd if you need it. Go to the door of room 3 but don't go in. There's 3 soldiers in here, shoot one(whichever one you target first with A) then back away and let the door close. Do this again for the other one, then move in and take out the last one on the left. He has the radio and keycard you need, so grab them then get the rations bars off of the other two if needed. Use the keycard on the door opposite of the one you came in and go down the hall as it turns left, then right. Alex will be standing there as the earthquake happens. Go over the fallen boxes to the open door at the end of the hall. Now we get to the first real tricky part of the game. As you advance down this hall, 4 soldiers appear at the other end. You'll probably be low, or out, of ammo so you don't want to take on all 4 at once. To spread them out, go to the 2nd post in the middle of the hall and the soldiers will come out, then run back and take cover behind the 1st post. This will cause the first two soldiers to come down after you. Take them out and pick up a gun from one of them, then move down the hall and take out the other two. Once all 4 are dead you can go over them and get some ammo, then go to the soda machine at the end of the hall, near the windows, and get a soda(or juice or whatever the game calls it) to restore your health. When you're ready, go left out of this area. Go through the open glass doorway to the end of this small hallway to the unlocked door on the right. Listen to the radio announcement(try the phone if you want, fun!) then go through the other door in this small room. Go left to the turn, then left again. Go into the hall with the wooden floor, but STOP before the windows. Once the chopper attacks run straight ahead to where the door closes on you, then quickly turn left and run down the hallway and take cover behind the soda machine against the right wall. Stay close to the wall and head down the hall, turn right at the intersection, then right again and go in the unlocked door. Alex is in this small room, so move to where she is and hit the button on the console to open the door. Go back to the hallway inter- section. If you need health, quickly run to the right and then go left at the end of the hall for another soda machine. Then turn around and head back to the intersection. At the intersection, go left(or straight if you're coming back from the 2nd soda machine) and duck behind the 1st soda machine again. Make a run for it and turn left, keep running until you get out of the windowed area. Once you make it past the windows the chopper will go away, so you can run back and use the 1st soda machine for health if need it. Then come back to the circular room. Go straight across the circular room and into the next small hallway section, turn left and go to the open glass door at the end on the left. Strafe right and target the left one of the two soldiers down this next long hallway, kill the one on the left and the one on the right dives(he dives if you start shooting at him first so it's better to just kill the left guy 1st) for cover. Advance down the hallway and go right into the small elevator room, the 2nd soldier is always taking cover behind the right wall on the other end of the room. Shoot him then check their bodies for ammo, go through the small elevator room and go right(past the 2nd dead soldier, near the dead scientist bodies) and go left into the first door. Go around the glass wall in this long room and two soldiers will come through the door at the other end, on the right wall in the next section of this room. Shoot them, duck behind a cubicle wall for cover when reloading, then check them for rations and ammo. Go through the door they came in and go left. Move up to the hall intersection, once the game is done loading there'll be two soldiers waiting. One to the left and one to the right. Kill the one on the left first, strafe out and quickly shoot him, then strafe back into cover, turn around and do the same thing to the guy on the right. Check them for ammo/rations(do I REALLY need to say this anymore?), then go to where the guy on the right was and through the door on the left. Pick up the clipboard on the right edge of the table (nice XBOX!) and read it for some info, then go through the glass divider wall and to the doors on the left wall of at the other end of the room. Go left in this hallway, then right, to the glass double door. Alex looks at the map, then go to the right of the large door and hit the button. ========================== 3-3. RESEARCH CENTER ANNEX ========================== Run through the connecting pathway, keep going once your vision changes and go to the dead scientist. There's a ration bar and soda can near him if need health. Open the door with the button on the left of it and go left into the cafeteria. Move to the glass doors ahead of you to the left, there's a burger on one of the tables near the doors if you still need more health, go through the door and go right. Use the keycard to open the next glass door then go left. Go right and the game stops you at the next right turn. Once you can move again go left into the door right next to you, run to the opposite end of the room to where the door is blocked by fallen shelves. Crouch and crawl under the fallen shelves and out the door. You'll split up with Alex for now. Go left, then right into the darkened hallway. Turn left and go through the double doors, turn right and run to the other end of the hall. The door near the dead scientist is unlocked so go through it, then through the next set and into the room with the alarm going off. There's a clipboard on the right table with the computers for some info about the T'lan soldier experiment, and another on the long table in the lower section of the room. To make getting through this next part easier you'll need to mess with the T'lan soldiers in the closed off area of the room a little bit. Shoot the glass of the closed door on the left to get both of them near it. Open the door then RUN (hit X to take any targeting off) to the other door on the right end of the room. The two T'lan Warriors will follow you but you should be able to run into the small room and hit the close button on the second door to stop them. Now they should be on the outer part of the room and you'll be in the small closed area with two glass doors. Now you want to quickly open the door that leads to the area the two T'lan Warriors started in then run in, turn around and quickly shut the door again so they'll be trapped in the little room you're in now. Don't take your gun out during this or you may get stuck targeting one of the T'lan guys and not be able to see the button. Quickly hit the button, run into the room with the two tables, then turn and hit the button on the right side of the door to shut it. There's two more clipboards in this room to read, one of which lets you learn the Shield Break skill(but you can't use it yet, no T'langen...) then go through the only non-secured door and use X to open the big safe-like door. Once it's open, go straight then right, then through another set of doors. Go right, then left through the open glass door to where another T'lan Warrior is waiting. Run past him and head right, into the big circular area with another T'lan Warrior. You want to get into the elevator door on the right QUICKLY and get under the opening in the right corner of the elevator. Jump and you'll grab the edge of the elevator and pull yourself up. This may take a couple of tries. Once you're on the elevator, watch the short scene then jump across to where the dead scientist is and use the ladder next to him to climb up. Stop just before where the fire shoots out, use the small concrete block as a guide, then quickly climb as soon as it stops. Climb all the way up to where the ladder is broken, then look to the left and jump down onto the wooden planks. Walk across the planks and crouch into the tunnel with the fan at the end. Turn left in the big fan room and go into the next tunnel, at the end of this one turn left again and go through another short tunnel. When this tunnel ends, stand and jump to grab the ledge of the next tunnel. Duck and go into it, then stand and jump again at the end to get to the opening of the next tunnel. It's to the right of the hardhat and flashlight lying on the ground. At the end of this tunnel, turn right and duck again to crawl through the low tunnel. Listen to the scientists at the end and then go right and crawl through another tunnel, last one! When it ends, go left and into the storage room. In the storage room, go past the first set of shelves in the middle of the room then turn left and go towards the back wall. Go through the door slightly to the left and into another hallway, go straight until the game stops you then go right. You'll powerup again as you turn left, a T'lan Warrior is flinging scientists around at the end of this hall. NOW you can finally beat him up. Use your 1-2 combo for quick damage, and uppercuts to send him flying back. Watch out for his shoulder charge, either Guard it or Evade it, or you can just interupt it with a well-timed jab. Don't follow the on-screen commands. Once you've beaten him enough he'll fall. The scientist behind the door will start talking to you. Wait for the T'lan Warrior to disappear then grab his "essence" or whatever for some health. Open the door that the scientist is behind (don't hit him!) and go in the next room. Exit the room with the scientist in it through the set of doors on the right wall, then go left and use the keycard to open the glass door. Left of here is another T'lan Warrior, kill him and collect his health then continue to the left. At the end of the hall turn right, then left again. Stay by the corner and let the T'lan Warrior take out the three soldiers then move in and fight him. Once he's dead, search the bodies for a grenade and some ammo, then go to the next glass door near where the soldiers were. Use the keycard again to open the door, then go right, through the next glass door, and left. Go through the connecting hallway and watch the cutscene and listen to the radio chatter. Go into the room at the end of the hall. Go into the door on the right and answer the phone when it rings, then go right and hit the button on the console to open the door. Go back out of this room and the game will load. ================================ 3-4. MAIN RESEARCH CENTER PART 2 ================================ Go through the main glass doors and the screen will flicker, follow the cat into the left hallway, go down to the end of the hall and the screen will flicker again. Turn left and go into "desert." Go left in this desert area towards the wooden planks on the ground, then turn left again and go towards the doorway that leads back into the building. Instead of going in the doorway, go to the right and pick up some ammo and grenades. Now turn around and head to the tower with the trailer boxes all around it, go past it and head to the next outpost area off in the distance in front of you. Keep your handgun out to shoot the weird little sand creatures that attack you and explode. Hang a right halfway there if you need health, there's a soda machine on a rock that can only be used once. A few more little sand creatures are around it, so take them out and get a soda then continue heading to the next little outpost area. There's a bunch of bagged bodies lying on the ground here, and more weird sand creatures. Find them quickly by looking down and hitting A as you walk around this area. Then go right and there's a door in a small section of wall. Open it and go through. You'll be back in the building now, open the door on the left and you'll be in a stairwell. Go up three or four flights of stairs to the first open door, go in the room and try the door on the right with the guy trapped behind it. You can't open it. Go up another flight of steps and open the unlocked door. Go in the door on the right in this room and into the charred hallway. You'll fall through the floor and be on the same floor as the trapped guy. Go to the left, wait for the fire to stop shooting out of the right room then run by it, then do the same thing with the explosion and fire on the left. Just past the second shooting fire you'll see the man who was yelling earlier. He, uh, doesn't make it. Avoid the 2nd guy that comes of out the fire then head to the left. If you try to go straight and crawl under the half-open door, you'll just suffocate from the smoke so don't bother going that way. Instead, turn to the left and go down the hall with the electrical wire hanging from the ceiling. Stay to the right to avoid it, then get ready to fight a T'lan Warrior that comes from around the corner to the right. You can get the drop on him by running around the corner and hitting him before he has a chance to make it around the burning boxes. Jump over the burning boxes and finish him off. Continue down this hallway and more fire will shoot out from the left, after it does 2 T'lan Warriors will come at you from there. To stand a chance against both of them you need to seperate them, you can do this by uppercuting the first one that comes at you. Stay close to the corner and wait for him to come, back away if he tries to do the shoulder charge move, then step in and uppercut him. While he's flying back, target the second T'lan Warrior and start pounding on him. You should be able to kill him before the first guy recovers, if not just uppercut him back and wait for the 1st guy to come at you. Repeat this strategy until they're both dead. Go into the large circular room where the two T'lan Warriors came from and head left, go all the way around the outside edge of the circular room, past the first opening on the left with the small burning box in it(nothing there), until you see the 2nd opening on the left wall, go in and pick up the gasmask from the dead scientist. Put it on and head back around the circular room to where you came in. Go right, all the way back to the end of the hall, then left, past the electrical wire again, and left one more time. NOW you can crawl under the half-opened door here and survive. Go straight, then turn right. At the T intersection head left, then go into the door on the left wall into the Control Room. Directly to the left of the door there's a soda can on the floor, get it then go to the panel on the back wall an press the button to release the Halon Gas. Once the door is unlocked again, go out it and to the right, then right again. At the corner, look to the left and strafe out with the SMG ready. Hit A to aim at one of the four soldiers near the door you crawled in under. Shoot or toss a grenade and then strafe back into cover. Keep doing this until all four are dead then go and search the bodies for some ammo and 'nades. Go out the door, then move forward, past the hallway with the hanging electirc wire for now, and go in the door on the other end of the hall on the left(where the burning scientists came out earlier). There's a soda can lying on the floor in here, drink it then exit the room and head back to the right. Go left into the hallway with the wire again. Go past the wire, the game will load a little, then turn right and go down this next hallway again. Make a left into the big circular room and take out the soldier on your right quickly, use the nearest pole as cover to block the shots from the two soldiers on the left. Once the 1st soldier is down, turn towards the two on the left and use the pole as cover while you strafe out and shoot them. When all 3 are dead, check their bodies. Go to the opening on the left, next to the bar, and then go left into the small nook where the soda machines are. You can't use them but there's a single can on the ground near them. Get it then go out of the nook to the left and make a right into the wooden door with the lights on ether side of it. Move through the room to the other door on the left. Go right in this next hallway, then left at the end. You'll hear a battle taking place between 3 soldiers and a T'lan Warroir. Let the T'lan take out the 2 soldiers then you take out the 3rd from behind and move in to fight the T'lan. Once he's down collect the energy and search the bodies. On the left side of this crumbling room is a metal post wedged in some big rocks. Move close to it until you see the ACCESS icon then hit X a couple times to grab it and move it. The rocks will tumble giving you a path to go up to the next floor. Jump on the first narrow rock and jump to the larger rock, then face the next floor slightly to the left and jump onto it. Go to the right, towards the semi-open door with the light coming through it. Just to the right of that door, duck and you'll crawl under the overhanging rubble. Crawl to the right towards the beam of light coming through the wall. Go past it (under it) and keep crawling towards the bigger beam of light. Go under that then stand up near the crooked wooden pillar and go into the open wooden door on the left. Face right and move to the very left edge of this broken hallway, jump to the small section of floor on the right, then jump forward to the whole section of floor. Move ahead and turn right into the lighted hallway. The game will load halfway down the hall, after it does go in the last door on the left. Go to the broken window on the right side of the back wall and jump up in front of it. Slowly move through it and you'll drop down onto a thin walkway outside. Move left on the thin ledge until it ends, then turn right. You have to jump over the small gap in the walkway, make sure you're standing before attempting it! Jump over the gap then move forward and drop down onto the lower ledge in front of you. Work your way around the turn of this small ledge and you'll hear a scientist screaming, she's hanging from the pipe against the building. Face the building and jump up to grab the pipe and move to the right, try and help...oh well, keep going right and drop down onto the next thin walkway. Turn around and look down to see some fighting going on below you, then continue on the small ledge around the building. When you reach the end of this walkway, move down to where it's broken and jump to grab the bottom of the next walkway. Move to the right a little bit and then hit up to climb onto the walkway. Continue to the right, then go in the broken window on the left into the bathroom. Go left, then right and the game will load as you near the exit of the bathroom. Go up the hallway slightly to the left of the bathroom exit, then turn right at the T intsection. Go down this hallway to the 4 way intersection with the boxes on the right. If you need health there's a soda machine around the bend to the left, otherwise keep going straight to the unlocked door on the left. Go through the room to the next door on the right. Open it and you'll meet up with Alex again. Follow Alex through the crumbling door to the left, then get near her in the next room. When she tells you to hide, duck under the debris to the left and go all the way back. When Alex grabs you watch through the chairs in front of you. I won't ruin it, so when you can move again follow Alex out from under the wreckage. Ask her whichever question you want to(X is more informative it seems) then follow her through the door Solus just went out and to the right. Watch Alex jump up the next floor then jump where she did, first to the left, then right. Then ACCESS her hand by looking to the left and moving ahead until you can grab it. She'll pull you up. Follow her as she moves ahead, then left. You'll stop and your arm will spark again, the game will load and you'll hear Alex fighting. Move ahead and then go left into the big room. It doesn't matter what you try to hit Solus with here, you'll miss and he'll knock you down and throw you around for a little bit. Once you can move again, hit up to getup and go to Alex. Once the radio chatter starts follow Alex to the shutter door, once it opens run through until the game stops you. Click L down and move forward to advance on the soldiers while blocking their bullets. When you get close take them out, then two more come from the door on the right. Kill them before they can hurt Alex too badly. She tends to stand and let them shoot her... When they're all dead, go near Alex when she calls and hit X to give her your hand, watch the little scene then go around and check the bodies of the soldiers. Get the grenades near the big gun as well, you can even use the gun if you want...too bad there's no one to shoot with it(Alex doesn't count!). To continue, go to the open fusebox to the right of where Alex is standing and access it to open the shutter doors behind you. Go out the doors and to the left, Guard and advance on the two soldiers then take them out. Search'em then go out the sliding door and to the left. Turn right at the corner then move to the unlocked door on the left. There's two soldiers in this room, you can kill them both with a well placed grenade. So face them, strafe into the room (you can see them through the glass by the door) and toss the nade then strafe back out. If you don't kill them both just Guard your way into the room and finish off the survivor. Go into the room and search the bodies then go to the middle desk and push the button. Exit the room and go right, then left, and back through the sliding door. Go straight to the newly opened door then turn left. Go right, then right again and open the door on the left. In this empty room, open the door on the left. You'll be in a stairwell, start going up the stairs. There's two soldiers up as you make your way up, so either shoot them or Guard up to them and take them out. Keep going up the steps and there'll be two more guards at the top. Shoot them as you go towards them or just Guard up to them and beat'em up. Start with the one on the left if you're going to fight, or you could always just toss a grenade or two at'em as well. When the two soldiers are dead, search'em then open the door nearby and go through. Open the next door on the right and then another door in the next room. Go out onto the roof and you'll see the helicopter to your right. Head towards it and get...oh well. Go to the left edge of the roof and run past the former escpae copter, a few soldiers will be up ahead. Shoot the first one near the water tower thing and then move towards where he was, there's two left. Move to the wall that juts out to the left of the small water tower and the soldier on the right will come out from behind it, shoot him and then reload. The last guy is just ahead of you to the left, strafe out from behind the wall and shoot him. Quickly turn to the right and start shooting at the two soldiers there. Move towards the one on the ground and the enemy copter will start shooting you until you're hanging from the roof. Alex will come help you, climb back up...oh well. Enjoy the view :) ================================= 3-5. BOTANTICAL RESEARCH FACILITY ================================= This next part is tough, but it can be done! Don't stop to check any of the soliders bodies you take out, just keep running from the chopper! If you move quick enough you'll get the drop on most of the soldiers before they can set up and start shooting at you. Good luck! When you can move again, hit up to get up then stay near Alex and listen. When she's done talking go to the soda machine on the right and get some health. Then go to the fence door along the right wall and try to open it. When the chopper comes back, MOVE and then go through the door it just blew open. Move to the left quickly while getting a gun out and take out the two soldiers before they get into place. Search them QUICKLY then move to the next fence door up ahead to the left. Take cover behind the wall on the right if you need to, then open the fence door and quickly move ahead. Run straight ahead towards the next fence opening and target and kill the soldier standing in the opening. If you run out of ammo after this guy, Guard up to the guy standing behind him to the left and punch him out, then quickly turn right and take out the guy on the opposite side of this section. Quickly quickly quickly(!) run to the right, then right again and go through the next fence opening, if you hear a missle being shot do an Evade Roll just to be safe. Run to the double doors and open them, then go in and the screen will flicker. There's two pop machines to the right, so fill up! When you're ready to continue, go to the door on the left side of the room, opposite the soad machines, and open it. Move forward and access the post, then jump ahead and go to the right, access the next post then jump forward again. Go right towards the "glowing" rock on the ground and access the post on the left, turn left and access the next post and then jump over the debris. Access the last post then jump and open the door. Back to "normal." Turn around and go back into the main lobby of the building, go left and open the newly unlocked door. Go left, then into the sliding door on the right with the Staff Only sign above it. Go to the other end of the room and hit the button, wait for the elevator to come down then get inside. Access the button inside the elevator and wait for to get down to the lower level. Exit the elevator and go left, then turn right and go into the big room. Go left, up the steps, and wait for Alex to open the large door. Move ahead to the next door and wait for the one behind you to close, then the one in front will open. =============== 3-6. TERMINUS 4 =============== Step out into the lab and go straight, to the door in front of you. Go through it then through the first door on the right in this next room. Go to the next door in this U-shaped room and you'll be in a curving hallway. Follow it to the doors on the other end, then hit the button next to the door to open it. Go through and you'll see another door on the opposite end of this next room. Before going through it, go to the left and grab the clips on the floor, then go back and open the door. Advance on the two soldiers while shooting and then search'em. Go to the right, around the curving hallway and shoot one more soldier far away. If you run out of ammo, just Guard and advance on him. When he'd dead, search him then go to the boxes behind him to find some Rations. Go in the unlcocked door on the left, just left of the big hand is a clipboard that tells about it a little. After reading, go right and into the door next to the boxes. Go through the next door in this little room by hitting the button, then in the big room go to the boxes on the left and pick up a couple clips of SMG ammo. Now go to the door. Open it and the game will load, enter the room and quickly move under the shelves on the left, behind the metal post. Look up and to your right and hit A to target the soldier that appears above you. Shoot him with the pistol, taking cover behind the post when he shoots, then go under the shevles to the forklift. Back out from under the shelves and shoot when you can see the next soldier above you until he's dead, or you can just bypass him altogether to save health and ammo. Now go past the forklift to the left, grab the Ration on the ground and go right, through the narrow passage along the wall, to the next door on the left. Open it with the SMG ready and move to the forklift on the left. You want to kill the guard in front of you on the opposite side of the room and stay out of sight of the two guards above you on the left side of the room. Go past the forklift and wait for the guard to come running between the dark boxes on the left and silver dolly with boxes on it to the right. Shoot him with the SMG then go along the edge of the left wall, then go up the stairs. Guard your way to the two soldiers up here and punch them between their two bursts. When all 3 are dead in this room, search them, and near the forklift for a ration. Then go through the door on the upper level. In this long room go left to the next door, then through the two sets of sliding doors and go left again in the hallway. Go through the next automatic door and there's a soda machine on the right. Get one and then go left. At the end of the hall open the door but don't go in. Toss a grenade at the electrical wire, then switch to the handgun and finish off the remaining little exploding creatures. Go into the room and down the small set of stairs, there's a pop can on the floor here and a long clipboard AND the Level 2 keycard on computers here. Take and read everything. Now we have to get back to the room that had the big hand in it. Exit this room and go along the hallway and through the door on the right, then next door. Now go left through the long room and through the door on the right. Go left in this big room and back down the stairs. Go to the door on the opposite end of the room, go left and back along the edge of the right wall. Open the door to the left and go left in the next room, hit the button to open the double doors, then go through the tiny room and out the next door and you'll be back in the lab room with the big hand. Go right and you'll see the door with the Level 2 Keycard console by it. Use the card to open the door. Go along the curving hallway and open the door at the other end, go into the next room and go right, open the door on the right wall(all the other ones are locked, naturally). Go into the next similar room and turn right, open the door here. Alex talks about the weird wall in this room. There's a ration bar and a grenade to the left of the entrance(when you're facing it) behind a couple of the big boxes, grab them if you need(or save the ration bar for later, you're about to fight a couple T'lan) and then go up the steps nearby. Stop at the first ledge you come to and go right. Go near the yellow signs and take out your handgun. Kill the two little exploding creatures and then get next to the yellow sign. Look to the right and you'll see a small box ontop of a couple big ones, about eye level. Punch it and grab the Battery inside. Now go back to the steps and continue going up. At the top of the stairs there's two T'lan Warriors to the left, use keep them seperated with uppercuts and high kicks and they won't be a problem. Watch out for Alex though, she tends to get in the way when you're fighting. When they're dead, work your way around the entire room to the left, to where the two desks with computers are located. In between these is a big, weird looking machine. Go up to it and access it to put the battery in. Start going back around the room, stop at the yellow elevator(above where you got the battery) and shoot a few more little creatures and then get the 3 grenades and the cola can inside. Now continue around the room and all the way back down the stairs. As you go down the last flight, 4 soldiers come into the room. Immediately head left of the stairs and take out the soldier standing there. Take cover behind the boxes and reload if you're shooting. Strafe out to the left and keep hitting A and you'll target a soldier across the room who you can see between the stairs and some boxes. Keep shooting until he's dead then reload and keep moving left, the next soldier is closer and almost directly across from you. Shoot him and there's only 1 left. He's by the entrance to the room. Go to the left of the stairs and strafe out from behind the boxes on your left and shoot him with any ammo you have left, or Guard and rush him. Take him out and then search all the bodies. When all the soldiers are dead, go to where the weird wall used to be and go through, go past the fence and to the door on the right. Use the keycard to open the door. Go through the short room to the next door and open it, then go left in the darkened hallway. Open the door on the right and the game will load. Go down the descending hallway and then left, go through the door and then go left again. Go down this descending hallway and go left again. In the next room, open the door on the left. Go to the dead body and get the grenade, ammo, and ration bar near it, then go through the door in front of you. Move into the next room and quickly take cover behind the post on the left. An automatic gun comes down from the ceiling and starts shooting at you. Just strafe out and shoot it with the SMG until it turns towards you, duck back in, then strafe out again and shoot it. Do this until it blows up. Look near the dead soldier by the post you were behind for some ammo and a 'nade, then Alex will open the next door. Go on through. Run down the hall to the right and an alarm will go off. Hit the button next to the shuttered door on the right and follow Alex through and down the next section of hallway. Now you have to dodge the laser grids that come at you. Duck under the first one, then jump over the second, duck under the third and stay out of the middle, duck the fourth, and then jump over the fifth. Whew! Now move into the next greenish hall. Go left and then left again into the hallway with the pillars on each side, quickly move past the first set of pillars and take cover behind the 2nd pillar on the left, a couple more autoguns come down and start shooting. Just do the same thing as last time, strafe out and shoot it then strafe back in. Since you're so close it should only take a couple tries. When the first once is down, quickly run around the pillar and the wall to the next pillar on the left. Do this once more, quickly!, and you'll be close to the 2nd autogun. Just strafe out and shoot it and strafe back into cover a few times and you'll take it out. Alex will compliment you, then go into the next hall and go left. Open the next door on the right go in the bright hallway, it's time for some more laser dodging! Duck under the first and stay to the right, get near the grid before the second one comes out then jump it as close as possible to the grid(if you wait too long the laser goes up and you can't jump or duck it), turn around and run back a little more than halfway down the hall and wait for the third grid and jump over it when the laser goes down, then run back up to where Alex is and jump over the fourth, then just jump over the fifth grid before it even starts moving after the horizontal laser goes down. Go left in the next hallway, then left again and through the door. In this next room, move to the console thing on the right between the two pillars. Try it and Alex tells you you'll need another key. Go to the other door in the room, to the right if you're facing away from the console, and go through it. Go right in the next hallway, then left at the turn, and left again. Use the keycard to open the door at the end. Go to the panel on the right wall and access it, then grab the key from the panel that slides out behind you. Then go out the door and back around the hallway to the right, then through the left door and back into the room with the console in it. Go up to the console, use the key to put it into the console. Access it again and Alex will grab the other one, wait for her and then hit X a second after she says "one" in the 3,2,1 countdown. The door in front of you will open. Go down the descending hallway and through the next door. You'll see a couple of T'lan Warriors in the distance, and there's a soda machine to the left. Better to save the soda until after you've dealt with the T'lan, just in case. Once again, seperate the T'lan by uppercutting or highkicking them and take them out. Then run back and get the soda if you need, and absorb the fallen T'lan's energy as well. Then go to the door to the left of where the T'lan where first staniding and go through. This is your first encounter with Assault T'lans, they shoot lasers. Great... Head left in the room using the desks, then barrels as cover, then run up to the Assault T'lan between bursts of fire and start pummeling him. When he's dead go back down into the room and to the shelves on the right side. There's a crank on them that you'll need, pick it up and then go back to the unlocked door on the left side of the room. Go down the hallway and to the right, use the crank on the access port ont he left wall near the shuttered door at the end of the hall. Go right in the next hall to the Alpha Project door on the left. Open it and go through the small room to the next door. In the middle of this room to the right, on the shelf, is another clipboard. Read it, then move towards the broken windows and shoot a couple small creatures that try to climb through from the next room. The door to the next room is on the left side of the wall with the broken windows, go through and shoot a couple more small creatures on the bed and then scan the floor to check for any stragglers. Read the clipboard on the small table next to the bed, then go to the bigger table in the room and read a couple more. Exit through the door near the table. Go to the door on the left in this room and open it, the game will load a little. Go in the room and towards the glass wall, watch the scene with Alex and then go through the next door when she says to go. Go through a couple more doors and then left. Use the soda machine if you need, then go up the ascending hallway next to it, open the door on the right and then open the next door in the small room. Move to the first door on the right, almost in front of you when you enter the room. Go through the door and go around the left side of the next room until you come to Stefania sitting in a chair. Listen to her then go around her desk to the left, then right and read the clipboard on the corner table. Then go back to where she was sitting (she walks away after a short while) and go to the stairs just right of her desk. Go down into the lower portion of the room and left, then left into the door where Steph is standing. Listen to Stepthania talk a little, then she'll sit down at the desk in this room. When she asks you a question, pick either answer, and then listen some more. Once she leaves out of the door on the left, you go out the door opposite it, on the right side of the room. Go left in this long, narrow room and through the sliding door. Follow the curved hallway around to the left, then go up the stairs on the right. Go to the door on the back wall, to the left. Go through the doors and head to the next one at the other end of this room, the game will load. Go through the door and then right. Go around the outer hall of this room to the right, then left. Go through the door on the right after you hear the shouting guy, then then open the next door and the game will load a little. Head left down this checkered-looking hallway and then go left up the stairs and through the door into the big room. Go to the bloodstain on the floor, then go through the door with the smaller stains near it. There's nothing at the top of the opening in wall with the windows, but you can look to be sure if you want. Open the next door and you'll see something fall on the floor, save the soda machine for later if you can, then go to where the guy walked around the corner left of the machine. Turn right at the corner and then go through the door on the right. Follow the bloodstains to the forklift, then go right and you'll see more along the wall. Go left and then left again and there's more blood on the ground near a door. Go through the door and try to follow the bloostains some more. Boxes will fall and block your path, so go around either the left or right side of the room(doesn't matter), and through the next door. Follow the bloodtrail to the left for another soda machine, then go to the right and you'll see stairs. Follow Alex up the stairs and to the next door. Follow the blood to the left down the tiled hallway, then to the right. Then left again and go in the door on the right wall. You'll see the dead scientist, and then get attacked by a Stealth T'lan. It may seem hard at first, but beating it is pretty easy. Watch for it to come at you from the left, let it get close to you and it will come out of slealth mode to attack. Either guard or step to the side, and then target and attack the Stealth T'lan. A couple 1-2-Kicks will take care of it. If it manages to go stealth again, you can attack it and if you hit you'll knock it out of Stealth. You can't autotarget when it's in Stealth though. On the higher difficulties it's better to attack the stealth'ed T'lan when you can, but on Normal it's easier just to let it attack you and avoid it. There's a cola can on the table if you need it after the fight, then go to the small white console on the far end of the room and hit the button. Watch the door below open and all the Stealth T'lan come through it. Exit the room and start making your way back to the big room where you just opened the door. Go left, then right, then left again and through the door on the right. Go down the steps and you'll be attacked by a Stealth T'lan. Back away from it and autotarget it when it appears. If Alex attacks it, get near it and start hitting it too to make killing it quicker. Once it's dead, go straight through the room to the open door on the other side(opposite the steps), go around the right side of the room and you'll face another Stealth T'lan. Back up a little when you see it so you don't attract the 2nd Stealth T'lan in the room. Keep it in front of you when it's cloaked, if you can get a shot in while it's in stealth then do so, otherwise just wait for it to come at you and sidestep it. Attack it until it's dead, hit it on the ground to keep it from going stealth again if you can, then move ahead to the door on the other end of the room. Another Stealth T'lan is near it, so use the same tactics to beat it, then go through the door. Go left in this room, around the boxes, then to the right towards the forklift. Two more Stealth T'lans are waiting for you there. Go near the forklift and one will attack, take it out and then listen for the second one. You can usually take out the first before the second one attack you, or at least knock it away. If you end up fighting both at once, remember to divide and conquer! Once they're both dead, get their energy and continue backtracking by going left from the forklift. Go through the door and to the left, then to the left again. Use the soda machine if you didn't before(I _told_ you to save it!) and then go up the steps behind it. Open the next couple doors and you'll be back in the big, bloodstained room. Go through the newly opened door on the right, then open the next door. Go left and open another door and you'll be in the big lab area you saw earlier. There's 3 Stealth T'lan in here, all to the right of the door you came in. If you can't make them out, just wait for Alex to start fighting and then target one of them. Even though there's 3, they're pretty easy because they don't attack at once. Once you have one targeted, stay on it, hit it when it's down and just keep pummeling until it's dead. Don't stand still, keep moving and listen for the next one, target it and do the same, and then finish off the third. Alex really helps in this part if you're having trouble locating the cloaked T'lan. Once all three are dead, collect their energy and then get all the ammo near the dead scientist on the floor. Exit through the door on the right, near the dead scientist, and then open the next one. Go left and then down the stairs and then right to the next door. Move through it and go down the descending hallway, then go left past the plants and to the soda machine. Use it if you need, then go past it and turn right. Continue down this descending hall and then go right, then right again into another big room. Go up either side of the room to the scientist up on the raised section in the middle. Wait for him to start talking, it's Dr. Ogawa, the guy you've been looking for all this time. Listen to him and then follow him as he opens a couple doors. Go on the walkway as the scientists are running, and then keep following Ogawa to the right and onto another walkway. Listen to the next conversation, then go in the door on the left that Dr. Ogawa stands by. The screen will flicker again and you'll be seperated from Alex and Dr. Ogawa. Follow the cat around the the corner to the right and go through the door, then go left into the oddly lit hallway, then left up the stairs(check yourself out in the mirror first, nice duds!). Go right at the top of the stairs and into the next door. Go left and you'll see the scene you were just a part of take place. Instead of following, uhh, youself. Follow the scientist that says "It's this way, follow me!" through the door on the on the left. Go around the hall to where the people are standing. When they all disappear, open the door and you'll go back to normal. Go right, then into the door on the left and you'll be in a lab. Move to the right end of the lab and listen to the conversation. Hit Y when they ask you to help, and then follow Dr. Ogawa through the doors on the left. Follow him right, down the hall, there's a soda and a ration bar on the left side. Then go to where Ogawa is standing. Get your SMG out and go through the door with Dr. Ogawa and Alex, you'll be attacked by a big group of those small creatures from the left corner of the room and directly in front of you. Right when they start coming out the wall, toss a grenade near theem to take a bunch, then just keep hitting A and shooting to kill them before they reach Dr. Ogawa. If you're having trouble, feel free to toss some more grenades, but make sure Alex and Ogawa are out of the way. Once they're all dead, go back and get the soda or ration bar outside this room, then walk up the platform with Dr. Ogawa and access the seat he's standing by. Watch the small scene and answer Dr. Ogawa's question, when you get back up you'll be much stronger and are able to perform the Pulse and Jump Kick attacks. After the doc and Alex talk for a little, you'll be attacked by an Assault T'lan above and to the left of the chair. Use the Pulse attack on it until it's dead, then two more will jump down from the same spot. Use the Jump Kick to take out the first one, then turn around and take care of the second in the same way(or just hit him a few times). They shouldn't even get a chance to fire at you. When they're both dead, go back to Alex and Dr. Ogawa, they'll talk briefly and then the door to the right of the raised platform will open. Follow Alex through it. Go right from where Alex is standing, and then right again and go up the stairs. use the soda machine to the right if you need then go in the door on the left. Go in the first door on the right, then open the next door on the back wall of this U-shaped room. Go along the curved hallway, get your handgun out and shoot the small creatures when they're still in a group to take them out quickly. Continue to the door at the other end. Alex will open the large door in this room, then go in and wait for the other one to open. There's 3 Assault T'lans in the next room, so stay to one side of the door as it's opening and then quickly run out and duck behind the boxes to the right for cover. Get close to the Assault T'lans and JUmp Kick them between to take them down fast. WHen they're dead exit the room to the right. Go left in the next room and quickly into the opening on the right and start hitting the Assault T'lan here before he can charge up. Then move ahead and help Alex get the next one on the other side of the next opening. Go right, then left and open the door almost directlu in front of you. Follow along the curving hallway and open the door on the other end, quickly run into the next large room. Run straight at the Assault T'lan and two T'lan Warriors will come at you. Ignore them for now and target the Assault T'lan. Take him out with a couple 1-2, Kicks or a Jump Kick then turn around and deal with the T'lan Warriors who are probably closing in on Alex. When all 3 are dead, go to the other end of the room and right, open the door there. Go through the room with the F on the floor and press the button next to the large door to open it. As it's opening 3 Assault T'lans will come from the other door. Quickly run into the elevator and close it using the button on the right side to take as litle damage as possible. You CAN go and kill the 3 A.T'lan but you'll suffer heavy health loss... When the elevator stops, hit the button on the right of the door, where Alex is standing. Climb up the ledge and then turn around and you can help Alex...oh well. Duck and go in the opening on the right. ========================= 3-7. UNDERGROUND FACILITY ========================= Get your handgun out and shoot the three small creatures that come from the left. Go left and then left again. Make a right and drop down to the room below, quickly look around and target the small creatures coming at you. When they're dead, get the ration bar and ammo on the ground and then go to the door on the right side of this room(the only door in the room, actually). Go up the steps and head right. Use your SMG to take out the spinning orb things before they notice you. Just shoot and change your auto-target to take them all out. Head through the big opening on the right and move towards the door on the right side of the back wall. Use a grenade to take out the small creatures as you approach the door. There's a soda can here, but don't drink it yet. Turn around and head back the other way and open the door on the left side, near where you entered this area. There's 4 T'lans total in this room, two Assault and two new types that can actually guard against your attacks. To stay out of the sights of the Assault T'lan's, don't go beyond the big opening in the center of the room. Make the new T'lans come to you by getting their attention with a Pulse fire or two. Fighting them can be tricky, but at least they wait and fight you one at a time. When they're guarding, stop attacking and just sidestep around them. As soon as they let their guard down jab them and do a 1-2 combo. THen follow up with a powerful attack like an Uppercut or high kick. THey can usually counter Jump Kicks, so be careful. If the second one is being a pain and staying in the opening where the Assault T'lans can see you, just run up and hit it a couple times then back up into cover. Keep doing this until it's dead. Once you've killed both new T'lans, run back and get the soda if you need it. Now, I know it's the wimpy thing to do but we're going to just run away from the 3 Assault T'lans on the left side of this room. Get your SMG out and run towards the door on the right side and quickly open it. Strafe to the left inside and start firing at the orb things as soon as you get in. You should be able to shoot them before they get to you, AND be safe from the laser fire of the T'lans outside. Hang a left and shoot some more orbs, then open the door at the end of the room. Go left and through another door and you'll be in a room filled with boxes. Jump up on the boxes in front of you, you might need to jump twice to get all the way up, then turn right and start jumping up in that direction. When you can't go up to the right any- more, face forward again and jump, you'll grab the top of the ledge and pull yourself up. Drop down and you'll see some T'lan's fighting a couple soldiers. Wait for the T'lan's to die and then go towards the soldiers. Wait for the door to open Gianni de Luca will come through and start talking. Answer his question then, go past him and through the door he came in. Go to the left and jump onto the ledge, get the ration bar and soda, then duck and go into the opening on the left wall near the door. In the vent, make a left then a right and then drop down into the room with the stairs. Don't bother going up them, just turn around and use the door. Go right in the next room and some unfriendly soldiers will be in the next circular room. Make your way around the room to the left, Guarding as you get close to the lone soldier up here and take him out. Then go down the stairs to the right of the soldier, there's two more on the next level down, let them see you and then duck back into cover. This will cause them to get near the steps. Then just Guard on your way down and start pummeling them. If they don't bunch up near the stairs, then one will move behind the stairs and one stays far ahead of them. Drop down and quickly turn and guard as you advance on the soldier under the stairs. Take him out then turn around and get the next guy, guarding until his two-burst firing is done. Once they're dead, search'em for ammo then turn around and head to the left and use the ladder to keep going down. When you get to the bottom of the ladder, move left and go down the stairs that are intact. Quickly get to the bottom of the steps and take out the soldier on the immediate right of them, then turn around and take out another on the left near the forklift. This leaves two more, and they'll be shooting at you. Quickly face the stairs and use them as cover, move to the left towards the boxes. Strafe out and target one of the soldiers and start shooting, when he's dead target the other and use the boxes near the stairs as cover. Strafe out and shoot him until he's dead. This section may take a couple tries, but once you learn the position of the soldiers you'll get through it. When all four are dead down here, search'em then throw the switch next to the big door. When the yellow car comes around the corner, quickly move ahead and start hitting the 3 soldiers that come out of it before they get a chance to set up. Two come out of the left, and one out of the right side of the car. Beat those 3 by using High Kicks to kill them quickly then turn around and Guard as you advance on the last guy near the wrecked yellow car. Kill him then search the bodies, then continue by following the tracks to the left. Jump up on the left ledge and go up the stairs. On the raised platform get the Rocket Launcher, ammo, grenades, and two rations. One of the rations is behind all the ammo and stuff, in a puddle of blood. Then go back down the steps and get on the yellow car, hit the button on the left side of the car(so it heads back towards the way you came in), and it should go all the way back to the sign with the X on it. If not, hit it again. Then get out and pull the switch on the opposite side of the track. This should make the sign across from the switch light up diagonally. Get back on the car and hit the right button, this will cause it to move ahead, and switch over to the right track. It'll take out the fences blocking your way and take you down a long twisting tunnel. After the game loads, get your SMG or handgun out and start targeting and shooting the group of flying orbs that come at you. There's about 5 groups or so and they're pretty easy to kill. As you approach the end of the tunnel, duck and get near the opening on the right side of the car. Four soldiers are on the platform where you stop, shoot the one on your immediate left first and then take out the one just to the right of the car. Face left and strafe out of the car and shoot the 2nd guy on the left. Then turn around and use the boxes for cover, then advance on the last guy on the right. When they're all dead, search'em then hit the button near the car to raise the gate. Get back on the car and hit the right button to continue down the tunnel. Shoot 3 more sets of flying orbs as you keep going down the tunnel. When you see the grey roadblock up ahead, jump out of the moving car and get the rocket launcher ready. Advance towards the roadblock and use the RL to take out the first two soldiers, one on each side of the car. An enemy soldier will be firing hisown rockets at you as well, but they're easy to see coming. Advance towards the roadblock(it's actually a tank!) using the yellow car as cover from the machine gun and rockets it's firing. Get on the right side of the car, crouched, and fire a rocket near the tank. You don't have to be that accurate. One rocket will take the tank down, then jump to the right side of the downed tank to get around it. Duck and go through the pile of rubble on the right and into a short hallway. Open the door at the other end of the hall and then go left. At the corner turn right and you'll stop and Accelerate a little more. Grab the soda and ammo near the dead soldier and continue. At the next turn you;ll power up some more and two Guard T'lan will attack you. Perform your newly learned SHock Wave to repel the first Guard T'lan then run up and keep hitting him before the second T'lan comes around the corner. If you can pull off a two or three hit combo, that's great. Then quickly hit A to target the second T'lan. Try to hit him with a High Kick or Uppercut if you can, but you'll most likely have to settle for a quick 1-2 combo or something. Try to knock him down, or at least back a little bit, then hit A to turn around and target the first T'lan again. Try to finish him off quickly before the 2nd T'lan recovers and come at you. Don't use T'langen moves so you can use another Shock Wave if you get desperate. The trick to getting past these two Guard T'lan is to inflict enough damage on the first one right away so that you can finish him of quickly when you get a chance. If it's not working out right, get them both in fron of you and try to hit them with another Shock Wave, usually at least one will fall. Go attack the one that doesn't fall and try to finish him off before the other gets up. When both Guard T'lan are dead, grab the nade and ammo by the next dead soldier and go left to the door. Go right in this small room and jump and climb up the grey wall, then duck and go into the vent. Go left, then right at the fan. Drop down into the room and go left, down the small steps, get your gun out and then shoot the little creatures that come out of the box behind you. A couple shots should take care of them all while they're still grouped together. Then go near the big pump thing, there's a soda can on the floor to the right of it if you need. You can try the door but it just leads to a caved-in room, so turn around and duck under the ledge and go into the small opening near where the box that held all the small creatures was before. Crawl through the short tunnel and then go left in the next room. Stand when you can and keep going to the left, go left at the turn and then right. Walk towards the yellow and black signs and tossa grenade at the big group of small creatures there. Finish off any stragglers with your SMG and then go right. Make another left at the next corner and then a right. Go to the door on the left and open it. The screen will flicker again and you'll be facing a couple of weird looking Alexes. They're pretty easy to beat. Absorb their energy when they're both dead and then get the can on the desk to the right if you really need it. Then go up the stairs on the right and into the next room. Go down the steps and face another weird Alex, the screen will flicker after it's dead and you'll see it's actually a Stealth T'lan. Open the door on the left and go into another dark grey hallway. Go left and then right. You'll see a tripwire. You can either duck under it as go you down the hall, or stop and manually aim and shoot the bomb it's attached to on the right wall. You can't target the bomb so you have to take a guess and shoot, and then adjust your aim depending on where the bullet hit the wall. Get past the tripwire then go left and open the shuttered door by hitting the button on the right. Just past the door is another tripwire, this time it's low enough to jump over. So jump it or shoot the bomb on the right wall and keep going. Turn left and head down the hall, then go right and open the door. Oh hey there buddy! Before Solus says "Terminate!" start running! Go to the right in the room, and then up the steps to the left. Solus shoots Pulse shots at you so listen for the charge sound. Go left in the air tunnel room and access the valve on the pipe, then turn and go in the door on the right. Turn left in the next hall, then turn right and duck under the first tripwire. Make another right and jump over the second tripwire, then turn left. In the next air tunnel room use the rocket launcher to take out all three soldiers at once. Then run and access the valve (vavle C). Solus will catch up here, and you'll take a couple Pulse shots, but just run to the next door once you're done turning the valve. Make a left in the next hall, then right. Follow the red and white arrows on the floor and go right, then right again and duck under another tripwire. In the next air tunnel room, turn right and take out the lone soldier quickly, then run to the pipe and access it. Solus will probably catch up to you here, not much you can do about it. Once you're done turning the valve on the pipe, turn left and head to the door with the big B near it. Go into the hall and make a right. Strafe a little from side to side to avoid the Pulse shots coming from Solus. Go left and duck under another tripwire. Go left again and then go right. You'll be at the intersection with the red and white arrows. Make a right and jump over two low tripwires, you'll pass a Keep Out sign, then duck under another one. Make a left and jump over another tripwire. Then go right and open the door. Solus will most likely be on you again, so it's just a matter of having enough energy to take the punishment. Once the door is open run to the hole in the middle of the next room and drop down. Get the soda can on the left near the broken bars and drop down into the lower portion of the room. There's a Stealth T'lan down here so watch for it's steps in the water and sidestep when it attacks, then hit it with a couple quick combos to kill it. Head towards the tunnel and another Stealth T'lan will attack, use the same tactics and kill it then make a right. Another Stealth T'lan will attack, kill it and absorb it's energy and continue. At the next turn there's two more Stealth T'lan, the first one is right near the turn so stay there so you don't attract the second one. Kill the first, then move right after the turn and fight the second. Absorb their energy and then make a right and then stop at the next intersection. There's afew Stealth T'lan in this area. The first will come from the right, fight it and then another will come from the right, and finally one more from the right will come at you. Head to the right and make the turn to the left and a fourth Stealth T'lan will attack. When the fourth Stealth T'lan is dead, turn back around and head the other way. Go past the opening on the left where you entered this part pf the sewer, then make the first right turn. There's three Stealth T'lan in this short section of tunnel, back up once you attract them and they should start fighting each other. Once they do, Slide in and start fighting the first one you can target. Kill it quickly with a Left, Left, Right combo and then turn to the next one. If they're both Stealthed, back away and Guard until they come at you. Attack once one of them comes out of the cloak, and then do the same to the last. Back up towards where you came in, and then go left to the end of the tunnel and make a right. This is just to make sure you've taken care of all the Stealth T'lans in this area. Make another right and then go left into the tunnel with the pipe hanging overhead. Duck to get under the two sets of two pipes and then go left. GO left again at the corner and you'll be attacked by two more Stealth T'lan. They usually don't attack at the same time, so you should be able to handle them. If they do attack simultaneously, then just Guard and back up until one attacks and then focus on that one till it's dead. Then get the 2nd one. When both are dead move up to the dead soldier, another Stealth T'lan comes at you from the right. Wait for it and then kill it, then get all the ammo and grenades around the dead soldier. Then continue to the right. At the T intersection, look to the right and shoot the group of flying orb things. Then turn around and go left, two more Stealth T'lans will attack near the overhead pipe. Get near them and Guard, then attack when one uncloaks itself with a L,R,R combo and then run up to where it falls and hit it again to finish it off. Then finish off the second one. Duck under the overhead pipes, two more sets of two, then go to the end of this tunnel. At this T intersection, run to the right and target the flying orb at the other end of the tunnel. Run towards it and shoot it with the Rocket Launcher to blow it and a bunch of other flying orbs up. Run to the ladder, then turn around and face the Stealth T'lan that comes at you. Kill it then go up the ladder. ================= 3-8. FREIGHT YARD ================= Get the soda can on the table and then duck under the tripwire, go to the boxes in front of the steps and jump up them a couple times and then over the rail to reach the door. Open the door but don't go out, back up a little and look down to see tripwires right after the door. Jump over them, then go right and right again down the small ramp. Jump over the first tripwire that's almost right at the beginning of the ramp, then jump over the big group of low tripewires near the corner. Turn left and jump over another tripwire just past the turn. Now comes a tricky part. Jump onto the small boxes on the right side to avoid the low tripwires, then move up slowly to the higher trip- wires. Stop just before them, then strafe left back down to the ground, then duck and go under them. Now turn left and duck under the first tripwire here, get as close to the low tripwire as you can and then stand and jump over it. Turn right and jump over the pile of lumber and continue going straight ahead. When you get to the yellow and black sign at the other end, go all the way around the left side of it to avoid the two tripwires on the right side of it. Go through the two metal door things and then jump on top of the boxes in your path. Look down and you'll see a tripwire just past the box, jump over it and then duck to go under the next one. To avoid the next two, jump on the box on the left then up onto the small ledge on the right. Jump forward and you'll clear the two wires. Turn right and then left, and you'll be facing another black and yellow sign. Go to the left of it for now, and then right at the second sign. Get all the ammo and rations laying on the ground here. Then go back to the first sign and jump between the stack of boxes behind it. Move over the small sandy section here and jump on the box at the other end. Jump on top of the stack of boxes and then go right and jump over the pile of lumber down to the wide open space below. Now you get to take out the enemy chopper once and for all. ============ 3-9. HELIPAD ============ There's a bunch of RL ammo and some rations underneath the ledge on the left side of where you enter this area. There's also some more RLs in boxes around the edges of this wide open space, but they take longer to get the ammo out of, naturally. The chopper battle can actually be quite easy if you're patient. You really don't have to worry too much about it's bullets, since you have so much health now, but you DO have to worry about it's rockets. Unfortunately, the only time you can hit the chopper is when it's about to launch a rocket at you. Target the chopper and hit it with the 1st rocket and it will start it's attack attack pattern. Keep locked on it as much as you can, and use the boxes near the center of the helipad for cover as it swoops by and fires. Eventually it will slow down and kinda hover in the same spot for a second. This is your cue to shoot a rocket or two at it and then QUICKLY run to the other side of the boxes to avoid its return rockets. Just repeat this pattern, running under the ledge when you need to reload, and you'll take the helicopter down after 5 or 6 hits. Once the copter crashes, go to the door it partially blew open to the left and go in. You;re in the first room again, only on the other side of the fence. Now go in the left door with all the warning signs around it. Go down the steps and open the next door, then go right in ths room and open another door. Go down the steps to the left, then run across and hit the button on the far wall. Quickly turn around and drop down the opening in the floor when the fan stops. Then turn around and run to the next small opening in the left corner of the next level down, then turn again and drop between the fan blades of the next level. Turn to the right and run to the opening in the left corner of this level and drop down, then turn around and drop between the fan blades of the last fan. Whew! If you ever get stuck and the fans turn back on, you just have to die and start the whole process over... ================================= 3-10. UNDERGROUND FACILITY PART 2 ================================= Go right and duck under the first fan, go down the tunnel and duck under the second then go down the steps on the left. Go to the open vent on the right wall and duck to enter it. Turn left and then right and right again and then left in the small nook with the fan above. You'll crawl through the narrow opening, look down at the vent below to see Alex again, and then go left in the next fan room. Go right and then right again in the next vent and stop in the next room to hear them try to get to Alex. Then go left, and left again. You'll stop and see Alex then continue along the vent. Make a right and then another in the next fan room. WHen you get to the end of the vent you'll see the soldiers setting up the explosives. Back away from the bottom grate, then after the explosion wait for them to enter the room. Drop down behind them and immediately turn around and take out the lone soldier behind you, then go into the room and wipe out the remaining three. They'll be going after Alex so they shouldn't be a problem. When they're all dead, listen to Alex talk and then search'em. There's also a soda can on the table, to the right of the door, for some health. When you're ready, go up the steps on the right side of the room, then go in the door on the right wall. Go down the hallway and go right, then drop down and head left and open the door. Go through the small storage room and open the next door, then go up the steps. Go left in this second large tunnel and go to the platform next to the freight car. Toss a grenade at the group of bug things on the platform and finish any survivors with your guns. Then press the button on the console next to the gate to raise it. Now get off the platform and onto the freight car. Then wait for Alex, when she's on you can press the button on the side of the car that's closest to the gate you just raised. There'll be five groups of flying orb things to shoot, then four more when the car descends a little bit. Then there's a WHOLE LOT of them at the big drop. Just target and keep firing in small bursts with the SMG to take most of them out. When the car comes to a stop go around the right side of it to the room with the two soldiers in it. Toss a grenade in the open door, then finish'em off with gunfire if they survive. Go into the room and search them, then pull the two levers on either side of the console near the window. Then exit the room and get back on the elevator. At the front of the elevator on the right side is a small console. Go to it and hit the button to start the elevator. Once the elevator nears the bottom, get near the left side of the freight car. Use the RL to take out the first couple soldiers shooting at you from the tunnel, then Guard and rush up to any survivors and take them out. Then turn around and get the single soldier to the left of the elevator. Search them then get bakc on the freight car and hit the left button to send it forward, out of the elevator. Stay to the back of the car and it will run over the rocket soldier as it comes to a halt. Then get off the car and go to the left, shoot or Guard and advance on the soldier to your left. Kill him, then search both. Go to the end of the tunnel, near the forklift, and punch the small box in the corner. Grab the battery and turn to the left, go in the door on the left. Go left in this small room and then go through the door on the right. Move through the middle of the two large stacks of boxes, then target one of the two soldiers up ahead. Shoot and duck into cover and then let them come down the steps to the left, either toss a grenade when they're down on the floor and Guard and get close and attack them. Get out your RL and go up the steps on the left, look to your right and shoot at the three soldiers there. One rocket should take them all down. Search them all, then pull the lever that's next to the big door on the left side of the room. (There's a single grenade back by the dead soldier in the right side of the room, but DON'T hit the ammo box next to him, it's full of bug things) Go through the big door and immediately to the right. Look around the dead soldier for ammo, then open the long ammo box for rockets, but leave the two little boxes alone. Then continue heading towards Site Zero. Use the battery on the laser gun to take care of the wall, then keep moving. =============== 3-11. SITE ZERO =============== Go up the ascending hallway and through the first weird portal thing, then through another and you'll be in an outside area. Start out going to the left, towards the stack of boxes and tower. Climb the ladder to talk to a scientist then climb back down. Now go straight ahead from the tower and under the roof of the small pavillion. On the left table there's some ammo and a clipboard to read. Keep moving ahead under the roof and you'll come to another scientist who shows you where the tower you need to get to it. Next to him there's a couple soda cans on a table, and next to that there's a map of the area. The Base Camp is circled, and you have to get to the Tower all the way on the other side of this section. To start on the path to the tower, the exit is up ahead of the base camp to the left. If you want to, there's a smaller camp you can check out across the way to the right. It has a cola machine and a clipboard, along with some dead scientists. When you're ready, start down the path to the tower. You'll hear some radio chatter as you make your way around the first big white rocks, then make the first big left turn and then another. Go along this long walkway and then turn right and go through the next "door." Exit through the next door/portal/green shield thing and start going to the right. There's a couple dead soldiers near the entrance that have a little ammo. Continue to the right and you'll see some Assault T'lan. Get to the first one using the big white rock left of it as cover. Kill it then go for the one on the right, again using the rocks as cover until you get close. Then turn and get the one in the water to the left. Then get out of the water and continue, take out the next two Assault T'lans on the ground(rocks, cover, you get it right?), and then get the remaining T'lan in the water. Stay in the water and go left, there's one mroe Assault T'lan with three white rocks around it. Strafe around the T'lan using the rocks as cover to get close, then let Alex attack it to draw it's fire, then run in and kill it. When it's dead, continue to the left. Make a left turn, and then a right as you follow the path, and then another sharp right and then a left. When you get out into the more open area you'll see a couple Assault T'lans across the big gap shooting at something. You have to go all the way around the gap and then head to the left. You'll see it's Gianni and his sqaud, they can finish the Assault T'lans off, so keep going with them to your right. Make a slight right with the path and there's a single Assault T'lan standing in the middle of the walkway with no cover around him. Just swerve left and right as you approach him to avoid his shots(go left for one barrage, then right for the next, not left and right all wiggly jiggly) and take him out. Keep going to the right and there's a couple more Assault T'lans. Go around the right side of the big white rock near them as Alex goes as around the left side. Attack the T'lan on the right first, swerving as you approach him once again, and then help Alex take out the other. There's one more Assault T'lan on the left side of the rock just past these two, so quickly advance on him and take him out. Then keep going right and you'll pass through a narrow spot and find yourself up on the perch where Gianni and hs soldiers are. Grab the Anti-T'lan Laser from the dead soldier on the left, and some ammo right behind it, then move up to Gianni to talk to him. Once the conversation is done, you can go past Gianni and there's a clipboard on a table on the left. Read it then head to where Alex is waiting back in the other direction on the right, near the burning boxes. Head down this narrow path, going around the tall rock structures, until you see the two Guard T'lans up ahead. Hit the first one you can see with a couple shots from the Anti T'lan Laser, then finish it off when it comes at you. The other should go for Alex, so attack it with the Backfist combo to finish it off quickly. WHhen both T'lan are dead, continue along the narrow path and you'll see a single Assault T'lan. Laser or sidestep up to it and kill it, then move to the left towards the open ground. Go up the raised section on the left and you'll see that the bridge is down. Keep moving up and go near the jeep and wait for Alex. She'll tell you to jump the bridge in the jeep. Fun! Go to the driver's side and access the jeep. Hit up to start moving, then turn it slightly to the left to get on the bridge. Jump when prompted and you'll both make it to the other...well, okay, YOU'LL make it to the other side anyway. No time to worry about it, keep moving ahead and go to the ladder on the left and climb it. When you get up you'll see Solus has Alex. Go towards him and he'll jump away. Head to the bone giant and listen to him, then back away and to the side to avoid the falling bones. Turn around and read the clipboard at the small camp, then head to the right. Go down the long ramp and take a right turn, you'll hear some radio chatter. Keep going and you'll see some T'lan up ahead. Drop down and go to the very left wall. Use the Anti T'lan laser to take out the first Assault T'lan you see from a distance. Then move up and take out the second, then switch to a gun and move up again and take out the group of flying orb things. You can laser one of the last two Assault T'lans or just pummel them both, either way kill them and absorb their energy. The shield on the leftwill turn from red to green again and you can go through. Go out the other shield in the tunnel and start down the path. Follow it around the sharp left turn and continue. There's three Assault T'lan coming up. Save your laser and just adance and take them out one by one. Start with the one on the left, slide into it to throw it's laser off if it's about to shoot then finish it. Then go to the one on the right side of the rock and do the same, and then quickly take cover behind the rock again and let the secnod one on the right move up closer, then run out and slide into him and kill him. Absorb any energy they leave and then keep going along the path towards the burning boxes. Grab the energy pack near the dead soldier then continue along. Near the next big white rock there's 5 T'lan, 2 Guard and 3 Assault. Don't go past the rock and you don't have to worry about the Assault T'lans while fighting the Guard ones. Use the Shock Wave attack to seperate the Guard T'lans when they get close and then finish the closer one off with the Backfist combo. Then turn your attention to the remaining Guarder and do the same. Now approach the white rock and get the attention of the right Assault T'lan. Be patient and let him walk to you, when he's past the rock attack and kill him, then turn and do the same for the middle T'lan. He usually comes around the right side of the rock. Then either go to the last Assault T'lan or use the rock for cover and Laser him. Absorb and move on. There's a bunch of Ration bars and some ammo behind the big rocks to the right, near the edge of the cliff. Grab what you need and then start up the hill to the left. More radio chatter on the way up. At the to of the hill you;ll be attacked by 4 Stealth T'lan. Just Slide and Shock Wave them to keep them seperate, then use some quick combos to finish them off. Run back down the hill and get east the rest of the rations bars if you need to, then come back up to the top. Go down the hill and start crossing the bridge. As soon as you can target the Heavy T'lan shoot it with a couple Anti T'lan lasers to soften him up, then let him come at you. Slide to knock him off balance then keep throwing Uppercuts and High Kicks to knock it down, kick it when it's down and you'll beat it easily. Absorb it's energy and get ready for double the fun. Just past the big boxes there's two Heavy T'lan waiting for you. Joy! Hit the first one with 5 Anti T'lan Lasers and 2 fully charged Pulse shots. After the second pulse shot, run to it and hit it with a couple combos to kill it. It doesn't go past the two box stacks, so you can fire at it from there then run in for the kill. For the second, use little pulse shots to stun it and then run in and try to knock it down. Keep it off it;s feet and hit it when it's getting back up to kill it after 4 or 5 combos. They're strong but if you keep a Heavy T'lan off it's feet it can't do anything. Abosrb their energy if they leave some, then go around the last set of boxes and off the other end of the bridge. Go to the minicamp on the right and read a couple clipboards and the pop on the table. Go left towards the shield and it will turn red. There's two more heavy T'lan guarding it. Have them advance on you until they reach their "border" and won't come any closer. Then use the Anti-T'lan laser to kill one outright, it takes about 8 shots. Then pulse the second one a couple times and move in and combo him to death. Remember, keep him off his feet as much as possible. When they're both dead, absorb and go through the now-green-again shield. Drop down and go through the next shield, then go left along the ravine path. Go to where the two Assault T'lan are shooting at a couple soldiers. Let the T'lan kill the soldiers, wait just to their right under cover from the soldiers fire, then quickly move out and kill them both. Absorb any energy they leave and then search the soldiers and continue to the left. Move up to the rocks and boxes and use them as cover from the machine gun across the field. Guard your way to the smaller rock on the left as you advance on the machine gun. Strafe out to the right of the rock and use the RL to target and kill the soldier standing to the right of the MG. This will take out both soldiers. Move up to the MG and sturn around. Two waves of soldiers will come at you. They're easy enough to take out with the RL. Just target one as soon as each wave comes out of the same place you did between the boxes and fire a rocket to kill them in one group. Repeat with the second wave and that's that. Search'em and keep going towards the tower. Go up on the right side of the hill and you'll be able to flank the next MG nest on the left. Get almost behind it then rocket one of the soldiers there to take them all out. Search and then continue on up to the tower. This time go all the way up the left side of the hill, with the trees to your right, and then turn right and start sweeping across the hill taking out the 3 soldiers near the tower, then the three in the MG nest near the far tree. After those guys are dead, there's two more soldiers near the tower. Search everyone when they're all dead and then use the RL to take out the last two guys near the tower entrance. Go through the two wide shields and you'll be in the tower. Go across the bridge to the base of the large structure. Listen to the voices up top and then grab the Level 3 keycard off of Stephania. Wait for her to get up, briefly, then turn around and go back out the two shields to the outside. Head to the right. There's 5 soldiers over here, so use your RL to take care of most of them and use the rocks as cover from the 2 regular soldiers. If you have to get close, make sure to take out the regular soldiers first and then the rocket soldiers. Search them when they're all dead and then continue to the right. Go past the red shield entrance, you can't go in, and move under the small structure to the left. Then head right and use the RL to take out a group of three soldiers in the middle of the path. Then advance along the wall and take out the remaining rocket and regular solider with a gun or your fists. When they're dead, search'em and then go back to the small pavillion thing on the side of the tower. There's two pop cans and a bunch of rations here and a clip-board. WHen you're set, go back around to the back of the tower again, up the small platform and use the LV. 3 keycard to open the door. Enter the narrow, dark tunnel and follow it to the other end. After the radi chatter, go left in the big open room, shoot the group of flying orbs around the tiny left corner and continue. Jump and climb up to the higher platform and there's a small quake. Grab some ammo on the ground and then turn around, jump up to the next ledge and pull yourself up, then do it again for the next higher ledge. Walk up the skinny plank to the platform where the rocks fall, and then turn around and jump up to the next platform. Go up the ascending metal walkway and then jump onto the metal bar and go the rest of the way up on it. Go right on this platform and then right again to face the overhaning metal beam. Jump straight up and grab the beam and get on top of it. Then go right and right again. There's a group of those small creatures on the next platform with the lights on it, so shoot until they all blow each other up, then jump across to the platform. More earthquakes, and there's a ration and cola on the platform near the dead scientist. Drop down onto the platform below from the broken piece of railing and go to the next tunnel. Duck to get in and then shoot at the group of flying orbs inside. Go to the other end of the tunnel and there's a Guard T'lan. Shoot him with any Anti-T'lan lasers you have left and then finish him off with your fists. Go out and go left, across the narrow plank and then keep going left. Toss a grenade down into the group of small creatures on the lower platform, and then jump down to it and finish them off with the gun. Now go to the left, then crawl under the obstruction to the right, as soon as you can stand, start using Backfists to throw the Guard T'lan off balance and then finish him off with a couple big combos. Then go ont he broken walkway to the right and jump up onto the higher platform on the left from there. There's another Guard T'lan up here. Target him as soon as you stand and then try to keep his back to the ledge so you don't accidentally fall off. Use jabs to throw him off balance then try to knock him down with the 1-1-2 or a High Kick. WHen he's dead, go left and jump and climb up to the next platform. Go left up the walkway and then climb the ladder. At the top of the ladder, jump to the next platform and go around the curving walkway and then right, back into the interior wall. Go right in here and up the steps. Shoot the group of flying orbs from below and keep going up. At the top of the steps, throw a grenade out to kill some small bug things and then shoot the flying orbs above them. Go out and to the right and stsrt up more steps. At the top of those steps, go right and jump on one of the lighted elevator things and ride it to the next level. Jump out at the midway point and hop over to the next set to the right to make it all the way to the top. When you reach the top of the elevator, jump off to the right. Approach the large shielded door from the left until it turns red. There's two Heavy T'lan here and a couple more Assault T'lans jump out. When the first Heavy T'lan starts towards you, turn around and run back to towards the edge of the cliff. The Heavy T'lans can only go out so far, right around the end of the first big rock up here. So lure him out there and then hit him with a couple gull Pulse shots then move in when he's stunned for the kill with combos and kicks on the ground. When the first is dead, attract the second and do the same thing. If you end up getting both of them out there, just use Pulse shots to take one down. It takes awhile, and you;ll have to recharge every once ina while, but it's much safer. When one is down, weaken and then move in on the other. When both Heavy T'lans are dead, use the rocks to get near the right Assault T'lan, After a burst of fire from him, run towards him and Slide into him to try and beat his next barrage. Take him out, then use the dip in the ground near the exit to make your way to the T'lan on the other side. Take this one out in the same manner, then wait for two more to drop down in the same spots. Take out the first one as he lands, and then use the dip again to get to the other one across from you. When you kill both of these Assault T'lans the shield will change to greean and you can go through. Drop down all the small drops and then crawl through the brightly lit area. You'll end up in a wide open round area that's bright with a big shiny thing in the middle. Go around to the back of the structure and there's a way in. Shoot the few flying orbs here and then collect all the ammo and 'nades near the dead soldier. Then go in and start dropping down the glowing platforms to the right, then left, then right again, shoot the few groups of flying orbs that come at you. When you get to the bottom of the silo go in the only open door. Run to the Guard T'lans as they drop from there cocoon things and try to Jump Kick one of them and then kick it when it's down to finish it off. Then turn your attention to the other and take it down with combos or whatever moves you like. Then turn around and go around the outside of the silo you just came out of to the right. Two T'lan Warriors will drop down into the next alcove. They're pretty easy by now. Just Uppercut or Jump Kick one and then kill the other while it's recovering, then kill the 1st. Keep going around the outside of the silo to the right and you'll face two Assault T'lan in the next alcove. Run up and slide into one of them, then Backfist it until it's dead, then turn and do the same to the second one. Go to the end of this alcove and down into the opening. Throw a grenade at the group of bugs at the other end of the platform and shoot any stragglers, then go to the left side of the platform and jump and climb up one of the moving platforms as it's going by. Drop down onto the glowing platform when it's beneath you and go down to the left. This part is a little tricky. Look down at your feet and jump to the first of the three little steps on the left. From one step to the next you can jump first, then hit forward until you're on the next step, then do it again and then jump to the next long glowing platform. Go down it and jump to the left to the other one with some flying orbs beneath it. Drop down to the left near the open door and shoot the orbs. Go left outside the door. Go into the first alcove on the right and there's two Assault T'lan. Kill the one that drops down near the entrance on the rght and then run and slide into the next one and then kill it. Move to the end of the alcove and go down the little opening into another moving platform room. Grenade the small creatures at the other end of the platform and then jump on a moving platform from the left side of the main platform. Ride it into the next room and then drop down onto a glowing platform. Same pattern as before, drop down to the bottom of the room, blah blah. Go out the only open door and straight into the first alcove. Two Assault T'lans attack in here. Just pick one and slide into it, you may be able to pull off the Slide Punch by now, just keep hitting the L Trigger as you hit with the Slide and you'll do a left hook as you get up. Finish off the first Assaulter and then turn and take care of the second the same way. Then exit the alcove and go right. In the next alcove on the right you'll face a couple of Stealth T'lans. You can do the Slide Punch on one of them like the Assault T'lans or just do a shockwave when they're kinda close and then pick one to finish off first, then get the other. When they're dead, go to the little opening at the end of the alcove and go down. Once again, go down the white platform and toss a grenade or shoot the group of small bug things that come from the other side. Then jump and climb up on one of the moving elevators on the left side. Ride it into the next narrow room, shoot the floating orbs on the left and then drop down onto the glowing platform.Make your way down the platforms, and then exit through the only open door. Turn and face the silo then go outside of it to the left and into the alcove. Here you'll face FOUR Assault T'lans, it's not that bad through. Use a shockwave to knock them all back then just pick them off one by one with your slide punch and combos. Use another shockwave if you need if they all recover, one of them usually drops some T'langen. When they're dead go to the small opening at the end of the alcove. ONE MORE TIME! Go down the white platform, hey no bugs this time! Instead, shoot the group of flying orbs that come at you. Then jump and climbg up onto one of the moving platforms when it passes on the left and ride it to the next room. Drop down onto the glowing platform and make your way down to the bottom, again. Shoot a group of flying orbs as you go down. Hey here's something different! All the doors are open at the bottom! To make this easier for me for both us to follow along here, jump down to the lowest long glowing platform and face the silo thing in the center. If you fell, just get under the lowest platform and play along, I won't tell. Both doors to your left and right are open. Drop down to the RIGHT door(when you're facing thr silo) and exit it. Listen to the radio chatter then run to the small cave with the light over it slightly to your left. Get some ammo from the dead soldier and then follow the cave as it goes left, then right. You'll be running down a wider tunnel with those weird circle things on each side. Shoot 4 groups of orbs as you run along this cave and then you'll come to the tall, green shield door at the other end. Go through it. In this big circular room, make your way along the right side of the uhh, big circle thing in the middle. When the first Stealth T'lan pops out, kill it and then wait in that spot for the next two on this side to come out. DON"T advance to them or you'll trigger the next set of T'lans and just make it harder. If start getting closer to the boxes as you fight them, stop and back up a bit. Again, use the slide and punch and some quick Bakchands to finish them off. When those two Stealth T'lan are dead, then advance towards the burning boxes at the other end of the room. get the attention of the Heavy T'lan and draw him away from the Assault T'lan. Get the Heavy around the center structure so the Assault T'lan can't shoot you, then give him a quick Pulse attack to stun him then start in with the combos and don't let up until he's dead. Once the Heavy is down, you can go take care of the two Assault T'lans near the exit. Use the boxes as cover to get close to one of them and slide to knock them out of their shot, then hit a couple combos to finish it off. Do the same to the other one and the door will change to green and you can go through. Another tall tunnel, this time there's three Assault T'lans as the tunnel starts to go up. Slide one of the first two and finish him then the other one next to him, then quickly run up and get the third behind those two. When all three are dead collect any energy they drop. Keep going along the tunnel and it will narrow and turn to the right, then the left. Go through the small opening. Get near the dead soldiers and shoot the flying orbs as they come at you, then get the amo and stuff lying near the bodies. Go into the silo through the opening just left of the dead soldiers and you'll see the small glowing "steps" on the left wall of the silo. Start going up them by jumping and climbing. WHen you get on top of the fourth one, turn around and jump to the long platform. Go to the other end of this platform and jump to the next, shoot the bugs on the right wall and then go to the end of this platform. Jump and pull yourself onto the next one, and then three more. When you get onto the first high-angled platform, jump to the next one, then jump and pull yourself up one more platform. Now jump onto the small step that's right in front of you on this platform, then turn around and jump and climb onto a high-angled, curvy platform. Jump across to the next level platform and at the end of that one, jump up to the next one. Turn around and jump and climb onto the next higher one. Follow that one as it twists around and then shoot the small creatures in the gap between the two platforms. Jump to the next platform and go to the other end of it, then jump onto the small step just in front and above you, then jump from that to the next level platform in front of and above it. Go to the top of this platform and grab one of the moving platforms going to the right. Shoot the flying orbs as you get close to the center white platform, then jump down off the moving platform to the white one. Jump up and go through the small opening, then turn around and fight the two Assault T'lans in the alcove using Slides and combos. Absorb their energy, then go out of the alcove and to the right. Go in the silo through the opening and go around to the other end where the lowest platform is. Then jump and climb onto it, then jump and climb up two small steps, then turn around and jump over to another. Then jump from the small step to the next platform and shoot the bugs that appear on the wall above the small step above you. Then go and jump onto that small step and there'll be an earthquake. Keep jumping up two more steps and then jump across the next platform. Jump over to the next one and you'll be at the top. Jump and grab onto one of the moving platforms going into the room on the right. Drop down onto the white platform in the center, then jump up and go through the small opening. You'll be attacked by 4 T'lans in this alcove, 2 Assault and 2 Guard. Use a shockwave on the two Guards to knock them down, then target one of the Assaults and Slide Punch him and kick him when he's down to finish him off, then Shock Wave the recovered Guard T'lans again, hopefully knocking both down, and then run to the other Assault and get him the same way. Once the Assaults are dead, you can deal with the weakened Guards. Slide Kicks and High Kicks work pretty well, just keep one down or stunned at all times. When they're all dead, run around and get their energy then go left around the silo. Shoot the orbs that come at you then get the ammo near the dead soldiers and then go into the silo through the opening on the right. Go around to the other side of the silo and between the two red doors are the steps you need to art going up. Jump and climb up the first three, then turn and jump and climb up the next three. Turn and go up a couple more and onto a longer platform. Turn around again and jump to the first small step, then another, and then onto another long platform. Go to the top of the platform and grab one of the moving round platforms going into the next room. Drop down onto the center white platform and shoot the group of bugs that come from near the small opening, then jump up and go through the opening into the next alcove. Now I know this is going to seem cowardly, but just run straight through this alcove and left around the silo, then quickly into the silo and onto the first glowing platform on the left. You have to run around to the other end of the platform to jump onto it. You get attacked by SIX T'lan in the last alcove, three Assault and three Guard. It's easier, and healthier just to run away. Jump onto the small step, and then onto another long platform that's high-angled. Then jump to another high angle platform and then some more small steps, and then one last long platform. At the top of the platform grab a moving thing into the next room. Jump down to the center platform, then up and through the small opening. In this alcove you get attacked by 6 T'lan Warriors. This is more like it. Run to the exit of the alcove then turn and Shock Wave the T'lans, then run to the closest and hit it with a powerful combo. THen back up and let them regroup and hit them with another shockwave and then go in and finish off the rest with some quick combos. Even through there's 6 they're pretty easy. Collect all the energy then go to the right around the outside of the silo. Enter the silo and go right, to the lowest small step and jump and climb on top of it. Then jump to the next, and then turn around and jump across to the next higher one. Now you have to make the long jump from this small step to the one across the opening on the left. You can make it in one normal jump, so no worries there. Jump and grab it and climb up, then jump up 3 more and across to the long platform. Go to the other end of the platform and jump to the next one, go to the end of that one and jump and climb up to the next, shorter one. From this platform jump to the high-angle one. Shoot the orbs that come at you on this platform, then go to the top and turn around and jump onto the small step. Jump across to the level platform then go out the door on the right. Gianni is just to the left of the door, go and listen to him. Get the energy pack near him when he's done, then go around either side of the tall center structure to the other end. THere's a lone ration near one of the dead soliders on the right, get it then start up the ramp. Stop and watch the missles fly, then listen to the radio chatter. Stay even when the door turns green for some interesting conversations and events. WHen it's done, go through the green door. Go through about six small tunnels and then you'll come to a red door with a web or something over it. Access the door and then go through into the bright white room. Drop down from the high ledge onto the round platform below. Follow them all the way down then jump over to the large area. Go to the cage at the other end and access it to free Alex, then Solus appears in the center of the circle. Run up to him and try to punch him, he'll grab you hand and throw you down, then the fight really begins. Solus can take a lot of damage but he's really not that hard. Don't throw any hooks or he'll just catch your hand and throw you down. The Slide Uppercut is your best friend here. Start out with it and you'll knock him back, then keep running toward him and doing it until he backs away far enough to shoot a single force shot. Just strafe to one side until right after he fires the shot, then run in and Slide Upper him again(slide then R Trigger as it hits). You'll get into a pattern of Slider Upper -> Sidestep the shot -> Slide Upper -> sidestep, and on and on. WHen he back FAR away and powers up two force shots just strafe until he throws them both, then just run in and Slide upper again. After you hit him with this quite a few times he'll fall. Then Solus gets back up and all hell breaks loose. Sit back and watch the long scene unflod after Solus inevitably kicks your butt. ========================= 3-12. THE REAL TERMINUS 4 ========================= Once you can move around again, turn around and Slide Upper the two Assault T'lans to death, then go near the middle scientist who was talking. Listen to him then turn back around and go through the open door. Go left through the next door and then left through another door. Attack the first Assault T'lan on the right, in the smaller section of the room, then wait for the Guard T'lan to come over the broken window and take him down with a Slide Upper and High Kicks when he's down. Then run into the next section with the Guard T'lan and two Assault T'lan and attract the Guard T'lan back into the small section of the room, away from the Assault T'lans. Take him out the same way as the first, then run to the two Assault T'lans and take them out with a Slide Upper each. When they're all dead, go to the left door and open it. Then go left and open the next one and you'll be on the other side of the room you started in, go across it and through the next door, then through two more sliding doors. Go left in the hallway and then right, up to the door on the right. Open it then go up to the next door. Open taht door and then go to the one in front of you slightly to the right and go through it. Go right in this room and go down the steps to the lower section. Go left and grab the weapons on the ground, and then use the tape player on the table. After you listen to tape 4 a bunch of bugs will come at you from the left. Shoot them then go back to the tape player and use it again to listen to Tapes 1-3. Interesting stuff! I won't give it away in here, so you'll have to play! Once you're done listening to the tapes, go around the table and through the opening on the left, then go left in the next room as well. Go down the small stairs and then right, open the door. In the short hallway, make a right and open the door there. Go to the second door on the left in this next hallway and open it. There's 3 Guard T'lan in this hallway, luckily you can take them on one at a time. Slide Upper the first one then hit him with a combo when he's getting up to finish him. Then turn to the left and fire a quick Pulse shot at the second one who's standing on his "border." If it hits, run in and Slide Upper him, this will knock him back into the third Guard T'lan's zone, so let him get up and come back. Finish him with whatever combo you want then do the same for the third Guard T'lan, but run after and finish him when he's down. Go to the last door on the left and through it. Go straight through the next hallway and through the door, go down the next hall and then right, then left, then right again and you'll see Alex. After talking with her she'll open the door nearby. Go through and to the right. Take out the two Assault T'lan quickly with Slide Uppers, then focus on the Heavy T'lan. You should know how to beat them by now, use short and strong combos to knock them down then keep on them as they get up. WHen all three are dead, collect any energy and move on. Go through the open door and turn right, then go rigth again to the blown apart hallway. Drop down and go through the door on the lower level. Go straight and into the next room, then go left and onto the walkway. Charge the three Assault T'lan and use Slide Uppers to take them down quickly. Go in the open door on the left and then go right, then left again and some alarms will sound. Go left again and then go into the bright structure and then turn around and look up. Climb your way up the narrow ledges by looking up and jumping. When you get to the top ledge, turn around and jump to the center platform, then jump out onto the street. Turn right and shockwave the 5 Guard T'lan that come at you, then RUN to the pile of rubble at the other end. Once you're up there it's safe. Go around to the left and then duck under some more rubble near the right wall. Shoot the group of bugs that come fromt he opposite wall then go through the narrow opening on the right. Turn left and then right again and you'll see a soldier get shot by an Assault T'lan. charge and defeat the T'lan then go to the right and beat up the next one up the hill. As Alex checks on the survivor, keep going up the street and take out two more Assault T'lans with the help of someone shooting Anti-T'lan lasers. Go back and check the survivor once more, and you'll see he didn't quite survive. Get his Anti-T'lan laser and then go into the lighted door at the end of the street on the left. Open the door on the right, then go left in the next room. Try the door next to the steps and you'll see it doesn;t open. Go up the steps until you come to a broken set and can't go up anymore, now try the door next to them and you'll open it. Go through, then open the next door on the left in this small room. Shoot at the two groups of bugs that come at you then continue and open the door at the other end of the narrow room. Go left and up to the pit in the floor. Alex will do her wall running thing, you have to settle for climbing across on the pipe on the right. Go to it and jump up and grab it, then head left over the gap. Drop down onto the small rock platform and then jump over to where Alex is standing. Go in the door on the left and then go around the right side of the next room and duck through the hole in the wall to the room with the auto-cannon shooting at some T'lan below. Go out onto the ledge just below the huge hole in the wall and go right, jump the small gap and then jump into the next room on the right. Go through the door and left, then right and into the shiny narrow structure. This time go down to the bottom and out the opening. Then go left, down the hall. Make the turn into the opening on the left and go to the door there. Go inside and you'll see Dr. Glen Ogawa on the raised platform, go to him. Help him up with X when he asks. When the waves of Guard T'lan start attacking, head to the left and up onto the raised platform then look for the steps that go down. Go down them and into the narrow passage and you;ll find the Accelerator on the floor at the end. PIck it up and use it. Once you do, hit the black button to super jump out of the pit and back to where Ogawa and Alex are standing. When the GUard T'lans close in, use the Boost (click left and right sick at the same time) to slow them down and pummel them. Once they're gone, an Assault T'lan comes through the top door. Jump up there and beat it, then drop down and take on the three Heavy T'lan with some Slide Uppers and Shock Waves, and more Boost if you've recharged enough. They're actually pretty easy now. Once they're all dead head back towards Dr. Ogawa and watch the long scene play out. ===================== 3-13. SITE ZERO REDUX ===================== You start back at the giant fossil. Once Solus jumps away turn and head right. Go down the long ramp and then fight the four Assault T'lan, use Boost and just Slide Upper them all. Yo have so much health now they can't really hurt you too much. Go through the door when it turns green and then through the next one. Follow the path as it U-turns to the left and then kill the three Assault T'lan. Much easier this time! When they're dead continue along the path to the right and use Boost to kill the two Guard T'lan easily then just Slide Upper the 3 Assault T'lan. Absorb any energy they leave and move on. Once again, you can find some rations and ammo behind the rocks closest to the cliff edge on the right, then start up the hill on the left. Use Boost at the top to take out the Stealth T'lans easily then go down the hill and onto the bridge. Just beat the hell out of the first Heavy T'lan using Slide Uppers and whatever combos you want, then draw one of the next two Heavy T'lan away from the other, past the boxes and take him out the same way. THen just kill the third and go off the other end of the bridge. Go to the minicamp on the right and shoot the small creatues that come at you, then get the soda can if you need. The clipboards are the same as before, so you don't have to read them. Head left towards the shield door. Use Boost to take out one of th etwo Heavy T'lan completely then just kill the other with a few combos of your choice and enter the door when it changes back to green. Drop down and go through the next door, then go left. Let the Assault T'lan take out the soldiers then kill them and move on. Now, you could fight all these soldiers up to the tower again, but I prefer to just super jump my way to the tower entrance and leaving them be. Quicker and easier! Get into the tower and up to where Stephania fell before, this time however you can jump up there. Jump and climb the few platforms to get to the top then boost and run at the soldiers to the right and use Uppercuts to take them down in one hit. Get the 5 leading up to the helicopter then turn around and go back to Stephania who's moved to the left side of the tower. Follow her when she tells you and then go in the door she opens. When the elevator stops you'll be in the big center room with the Stealth T'lan and two Assault T'lans and a Heavy T'lan. Drop down from the center circle away from the exit door with the Beavy T'lan and get the Stealth T'lan first, they can be hard to find once you've taken out the others. WHen you've killed all 3, move up to the Heavy T'lan and use Boost to kill it fast, then get the two Assault T'lan with Slide Uppers. The door will turn green and you can go on through. Take out the three Assault T'lan in the tunnel with Slide Uppers and then follow the tunnel as it narrows and turns. Go through the small door and into the silo. Make your way to the top of the silo(much easier now with the super jump) and get on a moving platform and take it into the next room. Drop down onto the center white platform, shoot the flying orbs, then jump up through the small opening. Turn around and kill the two Assult T'lan in this alcove and then go around the right side of the silo and into the opening. Jump up on the right side and make your way to the top of the silo again. Jump on a moving platform and ride it to the next room, jump down onto the center platform and then up through the small opening. In this alcove, wait until the 4 T'lan are vulnerable and then use Boost and take out the two Guard T'lan. Then kill the 2 Assault T'lan. Go left around the silo and shoot the flying orbs, then go into the silo and jump your way to the top. (Hey if they can be laazy and amake you do these things over and over I can be lazy and not describe every single jump every time) At the top, grab a moving platform into the next room and shoot the bugs on the center platform, then jump up and through the small opening. This alcove can still be a little tough. Slide Upper the first Assault T'lan and then Boost and take out one or both of the Guard T'lan, then just finish off the other Assaults with Slide Uppers. Go around the left side of the silo and go in, then jump to the top again. Get on the moving platform and go to the next room, then up to the next alcove. Just use a Shock Wave and then Boost to finish off the 6 T'lan Warriors in this alcove then go to the right side of the silo and start jumping up to the top. Exit the small opening into the wide open area. Go left and jump over the tower root things to where the soldiers are still fighting the T'lan. Take out the single T'lan to the right of the ramp, then go up the ramp and take out 3 more Assault T'lan up there. The Assault T'lan keep coming, two from the left and 1 from the right for a few waves. Keep killing them and make sure to stay away from the switch on the left with all the bugs around it for now. Once you hear Gianni say "You save our asses again, Cole!" and talk about the counter measures, then you can toss a grenade at the switch if there's any bugs left and hit it. Listen to Cole for a little then go through the door when it turns green. Go through the 6 small rooms again and access the ball in the middle of the last one to open up the white room. Use the round platforms to get across again and then go to Alex at the far end. Open her cage and then Solus will appear. Use the same tactic as before to beat him. Do the Slide Upper then dodge a Pulse ball and then Slide Upper him again. Repeat until he goes down. WHen he gets back up, use boost right away to knock him down then stay on him until he does his little cloak trick, then start with a new jab combo until he backs away. When he does, if he doesn't charge up the Pulse shots that means he's coming right at you, if you have time to slide do it otherwise sidestep his attack or try to jab him out of it. Use Boost as much as you can when your T'langen charges back up. After a few long combos and Slide Kicks he'll comment about being knocked to the ground. Keep doing the same thing, boosting as much as possible and slid uppercuting when you can and using quick jab combos when he gets close. Once he says "your death was to be quick" stop using the Slide Upper because he'll block and counter it. Instead run in and use the L,L,R combo alot. Keep strafing and most of his attacks will miss, if you get the chance to get behind him and knock him down do the Slide Upper over and over as he's on the ground to inflict some serious damage. It takes aLOT of time to beat him even on normal, so don't get discouraged. Keep your wits about you and use Boosts and he'll go down eventually When he dies, go to Alex and help her up. Talk to her for awhile and then go into the green shield area in the center of this area. You get stuck in there without Alex. When the elevator stops and the blue platforms appear, jump over to them. Jump along them to the end and then jump into the small green circle. Walk along the platforms in the next area until the big missle things take some away, then just jump across the broken sections to make it to the end of this room. The missles only get in the way on the last few jumps, so wait until just after one passes by to make the jump. Super jump the last jump and then go into the next ring. In the all white room you have to super jump a couple times, but it's not hard. Just follow the gaps in the platforms to where you need to go. When you make it to the last platform you'll see some rations and a dead guy. You shouldn't need the rations at this point so just go through the green circle. In the next room go to the end of the first set of platforms then super jump up to the next one on the right, then turn to the left and super jump up to that one. THen turn right again and super jump up to the next set, and then regular jump up again. As soon as you land on this platform turn a little to the right and super jump over to the long string of platforms. Quickly run across it and jump the last two jumps to the green circle before all the platforms are blown away. The next room is easy, just follow the trail of platforms, jump to the higher ones and drop down to the lower ones and you'll be on the other end in no time. You have to time your jumps a little more carefully in the next room but it's still basically jumping the gaps between platforms. Go right after the blue missle things have gone by. When you get to the section with the super speedy blue things, use Boost to give yourself some time to get through them. One thing of boost should get you all the way to the end if you time it right, otherwise you'll have to use it again on the last jump. It can be tricky but start the Boost as soon as one of the first blue things is in your view and go as soon as it drops out of sight, then just keep going until the boost runs out. Finally we get out of a jumping room! Get the rations near the body if you need them then follow the path along to the left. This is probably the toughest part of the game coming up. You'll go into a white room with some white posts in it. Go along the left side but not against the wall. When the first wave of Guard T'lan spawn, try to take one out as soon as it lands, then use your jumping to get away from the others. Instead of using boost here, I prefer to have 3 or 4 shots of the shockwave. Jump through the middle of the area and you can usually group the remaining 4 Guards together. Hit'em with a Shock Wave as they come at you and you should knock a couple down, jump away and get them all together again and then do another shockwave. Hopefully this kills one or two, watch were there energy drops! You need it! If you can pull off another Shock Wave or two repeat this strategy, and try to lead the T'lan away from the dropped energy so you can pick it up. Also, don't run anywhere, jump! When you get the first wave down to two Guards you're in pretty good shape. You can usually divide them and take them down one on one. When you kill the last one the next wave will come out. THe second wave is three Heavy T'lan. These guys are a breeze compared to the 5 Guards. Use a shockwave if you've refilled your T'langen to knock all 3 down, then pick one to run up and do a few Slide Kick Uppers to. Do them until he dies or recovers, and then finish him off. Then turn and repeat with the remaining two. Kill them off like this one by one and then collect their energy. The third wave is all Stealth T'lan, of which there's 5. Hopefully you;ve refilled on the energy of the Heavies. Run towards where they spawn on one end of the area and let them come at you as a group, when they get kinda close, use Shock Waves to take them down. After 3 or 4 Shock Waves they should all be dead. You have to get to where they spawn QUICKLY for this to work. Otherwise you can Boost and take a couple out with SLide Uppers then work on the rest when they spread out a little. The fourth wave consists of 6 Assault T'lans. If you've refilled your T'langen from some dropped energy then this wave will be easy. Take cover behind one of the white poles and let them come to you, then Boost and start dishin out the Slide Uppers. You'll dispense of them pretty easily. Collect the energy they drop quickly because the final wave is coming up! Wave 5 is 3 Heavies, 3 Guards, 1 Stealth and 3 Assault T'lan, they don't all come out at once though. You start with the 3 heavies, and once each of the other guys. Once you kill one of the other T'lans off, the next one of that kind jumps in. I always go for the Guarding T'lan first, when they're out of the way it makes life much easier. When they all first come out, let them get near and Shock Wave a couple times to knock the Heavies down, and then go for the Guard. WHen it's dead, go for the Assault and the Stealth if it's around. As the next type of those T'lan are spawning, take out one of the Heavies by Slide Uppering it a few times. Repeat this process, refilling on the energy of the killed T'lan and keeping away from the Heavies as a group and this 5th wave isn;t so bad. WHen you have enough T'lan, don't hesitate to use Boost to make taking out the Guard and Assault T'lans easier, and don't forget to Shock Wave the Heavies to knock them back and then Slide into them. Beat all the T'lans here and a small green circle of light will appear in the middle of the room. Go into it and then towards the ball of light that you see in the next room, then watch the scene. WHen you wake up in the bizzaro version of the beginning of the game, kill the three soldiers that come through the door, then go out when prompted. Follow along the hall to the left, then right. Make a left and then another into the Rehab room 1. I won't spoil anything, so just do as the "doctor" says just like before and then the door will open again. Go out and to the left and then left into Room 2. Read the clipboards on the desk to the left then grab the keycard and use it to open the door. Go down into the room then jump over the gap and duck under the wall, avoid the burning guy who comes just after the wall and then turn left and climb up the ladder. Again, I won't spoil but just drop down and listen to the people, then turn left and crawl under the wall. Jump onto the pipe on the right and make your way across. Some times the soldiers on the other side will shoot you as you're coming across and when you land and can't move. Nothing much youc an do but curse the programers for their stupidity and start over...When you make it over, kill the two soldiers shooting at you, then go left and jump and climb up to the higher platform. WHen prompted, go to Room 3 by going right out of Room 2, then left and left again. Grab the gun and clip in this room, then shoot the "targets" as they come out. After you shoot the 4th target, run into the room as the T'lan Warriors appear and grab the Accelerator that Dr. Ogawa dropped, use it then you can fight the T'lan Warriors. They aren't your main goal however, now you want to hit the flaoting red ball when you can. As soon as you grab the Accelerator and use it, Boost and hit A as you spin to target the ball (Nexus). Hit it with a 1-2 combo, then hit A again to hit it with 1 more. Then kill a a T'lan Warrior or two to get some T'langen and then Boost again and target Nexus. After you hit Nexus about 6 times it'll die. Then, back with the "real" Nexus, just run up to hit and hit it until it explodes. When you land by the water, jump into the water and go right, make your way up the wooden plank to the fallen over wall and then jump over the debris and onto the bridge. Head towards the end of the bridge and you'll see Alex. Get in the jeep and start driving over the hill and then right. Go all the way up and then make the sharp right turn and go into the green door. On the other end of the small tunnel, just drive over the rocks that fall(you can make it!) and then continue. After you drive through the camp Gianni was at before and jump off the big cliff, go left and then turn right as you go around the big gap. Go through the narrow S scurve tunnel, then drive through the water and go right. The exit is up ahead on the left. Go to the left of the big falling column in the next room, then go to the exit just beyond it. At the end of the descending tunnel, jump out of the jeep and run to the end of the bridge. When the chopper gets close, super jump up to it. Watch as the long scene take place, then get ready to make a choice. As soon as The Pendulum Effect starts taking hold of Alex and she opens the chopper door. Get near it and wait for her to say "I should be the only one to go back to the future" NOw, for the good ending you should jump out towards her, for the bad ending stay in the helicopter and let her disappear. Whatever your choice, congratulations! You've just beaten Namco's Breakdown! And probably had one in the process! All the pictures in the Gallery and Music in the Music Player will be available to check out, and if you beat the game on Normal or Hard you can now play the Extra Hard difficulty. ======================================================================= 4. NEXT REVISION ======================================================================= To be completed in next version: 1. Derrick's Move List TO be honest, I'm a bit burned out on the game so I may take a little break before the next revision. We'll see. ======================================================================= 6. ABOUT THE AUTHOR ======================================================================= This is just one of a few FAQs I've written, all of which are available at GameFAQS. A few my FAQs are on various other websites (usually with proper creditO_o) as well. I hope this or any of the other FAQs I've written help you in some way, or allow you to enjoy a game more than before, or maybe just get a good read out of it. If you have any questions about this game, or any other I've written a FAQ for, feel free to drop me an E-Mail. BUT keep in mind a few things: 1. Please don't ask when the next revision will be out, or if I can send it to you, or if I can help you with a part not covered in the FAQ yet. I don't really have a set schedule for these things, and you can pick up the FAQ(s) at GameFAQs. 2. Please don't ask about something already covered in the FAQ. Usually once a FAQ comes out I'm swamped with E-Mails and skip ones that are covered in the FAQ. 3. Don't mail asking for codes, I don't have a Gameshark or keep track of cheat codes or anything. Other than that, I try to answer every single E-Mail I get and am usually pretty good at getting back to people quickly, but sometimes I lose letters in my computer or forget to keep them as new. If I don't answer in a week or so it's safe to say I won't be getting back to you, sorry. My E-Mail address is available on the GAMEFAQs site on my contributor page. If you're trying to use an old E-Mail address of mine from an older FAQ you won't reach me. If you need to E-Mail me always check the GameFAQs Contributor Page since my E-Mail changes from time to time. === END ===
