Information ----------------------------------------------------------------------- O.k, lets cut the crap !, this game is the final version of Winning Eleven 3 (ISS Pro 98 in US). A lot of bugs in the last version fixed here. For example : the match speed, shooting power, goalie movement, auto save ability, & camera option, oh yea, not forget to tell you that the player's name are real ; even it's in japanese but you can hear the commentator spell their name clearly (It's funny to heard Japanese spell Batistuta). In my country Indonesia, this game is the most popular soccer game. A lot of local WE3 : FV tournament are held in here & the competitors are great. Until now this game is the best soccer game in store. Hope EA Sports's Fifa 2000 can be better ! This is my Sixth FAQs in the Gamefaqs after Fifa'99 (for PS & PC), ISS Pro'98, Libero Grande & Championship Manager 3 (for PC) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Game Settings ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The game settings actually have no different then the last version but there is some new settings in the Option section. Game Settings Exhibition Mode : good for beginners, play it for fun with your friends with selectable stadium, costume, difficulty level, & match time. League Mode : be one of the 16 competitors whether in Half Competition (15 match) or Full Competition (30 Match) International Cup : Compete in World Cup or Selfmade Tournament in different continents around the world. All Star Match : Play as World all stars or Europe all stars. P.K Mode : Play a penalty kick shootout good for practising if you must finish your game with Penalty Shootout. Training Mode : Practice your ability, get used with the controller. There are Free Training, Free Kick Training (with auto ball position or selectable ball position & Corner Kick training) Game Options : Set up your choice like : player edit mode, memory card management, key configuration, dual shock, sound config, screen adjustment, etc. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Playing The Game ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Key Configuration In Menu Accept : O Cancel : X Offense Shoot : Square Lob / Cross : O Pass : X Through Pass : Triangle Accel : R1 Switch Player : L1 In Game Strategy : L2 or R2 1 - 2 Play : L1 + X Chip the ball : L1 + Square (only in opponent's penalty area) Defense Slide Tackle : O Tackle : X Goalie : Triangle Accel : R1 Switch Player : L1 Man Marking : Hold X Heading : Use Square, O or X while the ball is in the air & the result is different Using Square will make your player do a powerful header. Using O will make your player do a clearance header. Using X will make your player do a headpass to nearest teammate. Lob / Cross : With several taps on the O button can affect the result of cross / lob. When you tap it once you will lob / cross the ball with the power you pushed. When you tap it twice the ball will reach lower height then when you tap it once, good for team who not really good in heading, with you wing back or striker cross the ball from the edge of the field (tap O twice & fast) then press & hold Square for a powerful heading. The opponent's defender sometimes can't reach it because the ball are yoo low to head out. If you tap O three times the result is the ball height are not higher than your knee, but i think sometimes it didn't work for crossing, but it works on long pass forward. Team Management Button in Substitution Mode L1 or R1 : Change Formation. Square : Change Libero, Line, or Sweeper style. Triangle : Change Auto/Manual cursor change. Select : Strategy Board appear ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. More to come.......... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Secrets ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Playing All Star Teams in all mode : at the main menu hold up L1 + L2 + R1+ R2 then press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, X, O Acces the third All Star Team : Win the league mode with hard difficulty & full season (5 minutes match time is O.K) Get Romanian team with Golden Hair : Win the International Cup using Romanian with hard difficulty Tips : To get the World Cup 1998 condition easily, after choosing Romanian team press Square. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. All Star Information ----------------------------------------------------------------------- There are 3 all star teams in WE3 : FV, there are World All star, European All Star & The All star that consist of player that absent in World Cup 98 because of injury or failed to called to their squad. The World All Star is great in Speed & Shoot Power. The European All Star is great in Passing, & Heading ability. The World All Star consist of Soccerstar like : 1.Jose Luis Chilavert (Par), 2. Cafu (Bra), 10. Ariel Ortega (Arg), 15. Rivaldo (Bra), 7. Mustapha Hadji (Mar), 9. Ronaldo (Bra), 11. Gabriel Batistuta (Arg), 21. Patrick Mboma (Cam), 6. Roberto Carlos (Bra), 18. Marcelo Salas (Chi), the other are Luiz Hernandez (Mex), Leyder Preciado (Col), Dunga (Bra), Jorge Campos (Mex), etc. This team similiar to Brazil. Like i said before this all star has a great speed & shoot power, for example you have 2 player who has speed rating 9, Ronaldo & Roberto Carlos. The other player have speed avarage rating 8 like Batistuta, Mboma, Ortega, Rivaldo, etc. So maximize the player who has high speed rating. This team is also consist of 3 player who has shoot rating 9 they are Mboma, Batistuta & Roberto Carlos. I often score from outside the penalty area using them. (Don't forget to hold X after shooting to give some curl effects) and The European All Star are 1. Peter Schemeichel (Den), 16. Fabien Barthez (Fra), 10. Zinedine Zidane (Fra), 6. Robert Jarni (Cro), 4. Frank De Boer (Hol), 21. Christian Vieri (Ita) , 9. Davor Suker (Cro), 7. Raul (Spa) , 19. Tore Andre Flo (Nor), 20. Oliver Bierhoff (Ger), 11. Michael Owen (Eng), the other are Edgar Davids (Hol),Roberto Baggio (Ita), Marcel Desailly & Lilian Thuram (Fra), Dragan Stojlkovic (Yug), etc. If you like to play with wing back, use this team, it has a man with golden head, Oliver Bierhoff !!. Usually i put Robert Jarni (6) who has speed rating 9 in left forward (even he is a midfielder) & then i bring it to the edge of the opponents area & cross to Oliver Bierhoff. It's easy to score from here. The other striker like T.A Flo or Vieri are good in heading too. The third All Star team consist of 1. Angelo Peruzzi (Ita), 18. Fabrizio Ravanelli (Ita), 9. Alen Boksic (Cro), 13. Ibrahim Ba (Fra), 10. Joseph Guardiola (Spa), 11. Romario (Bra) & the other are Ciro Ferrara, Paul Gascoigne, etc. I don't know the other please mail me if you know. This team has some good players like Ibrahim Ba (Speed 9), Ravanelli (Jump 8), Boksic (Shoot 9) but the defender are very weak against through pass or aerial attack. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 8.
