(That's really his name, I swear to God.) =BOSS GUIDE============================================================ [1]Alexei's Dragons (x2) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Mickage Quarry HP: n/a Difficulty(1-5): * Strategy: Having a hard time with this battle? Well, you're supposed to: you can't win! After your entire party is revived by Nina, just defeat the dragons with the Megabolt spell. [2]Alexei ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Mickage Quarry HP: ~3,000 Difficulty(1-5): **** Strategy: This is a rather tough fight. You'll need to use your strongest attacks against him. If you get low on WP (which you more than likely will) use defend for all of your characters. You will gain valuble WP every time you defend. [3]Vulcanoid ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: HP: ~8,000 Difficulty(1-5): **** Strategy: This is yet another tough battle. Make sure that you have all of your best arts, weapons, and armor ready. You'll also want to have some type of defense against fire, if possible. By the end of this fight, you'll probably be all out of WP as well as LP. As soon as the fight begins, one character will be pummled by four consecutive attacks. Unless his HP is rather high, he'll probably be dead. Just revive him with the Water art, and use LP to bring them back to full strength. [4]Ice Megalith Beast ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Ice Megalith Difficulty(1-5): ** HP: (1st form) ~1,200 (2nd form) ~8,000 (3rd form) ~12,000 Strategy: One very important note: be SURE to QUICKSAVE between each battle. Now, you'll want to focus your attacks on the main Megalith Beast itself, disregarding the two supporting monsters. After causing enough damage on the monster, a "retreat" command will appear: USE IT! [5]Merman (x3) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Ruins of Hahn HP: ~1,000 (each) Difficulty(1-5): * Strategy: VERY simple fight. Because of the super-low defense ratings, you can just use your mid/standard-level arts to finish these guys off. [6]Wyvern ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: City of Nights HP: ~13,000 Difficulty(1-5): ** Strategy: Gustave can do some SERIOUS damage to the Wyvern. His arts, especially Bull Rush, do even MORE damage. Not too much of a challenge. [7]Pirate ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: HP: ~1,500 Difficulty(1-5): varies Strategy: This is a Duel Battle, so your ability to win depends on the effectivness of your combos. [8]Wood Guard ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Forest HP: ~8,000 Difficulty(1-5): ** Strategy: Another EASY fight. This guy can't do much damage, so after about seven or so rounds, you should be able to finish this guy off. [9]Treefolk ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Forest HP: ~12,000 Difficulty(1-5): **** Strategy: Ah, a TOUGH battle. You'll need to use an Ark Stone before the battle begins. Even then, this battle is pretty hard. Get your custom combos ready early, and be sure to have your roles adjusted accordingly. [10]Gargoyle ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Monster Nest HP: ~18,000 Difficulty(1-5): **** Strategy: This guy has the most HP of any boss you've had to face so far. You'll need to use the same basic strategy against the Gargoyle as you did Vulcanoid. If you can't beat this guy the first time, don't get frustrated or discouraged: he's a bit on the tough side. [11]Mother Grendel ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Life Tree Island HP: ~5,000 Difficulty(1-5): varies Strategy: This is another Duel Battle, like the Pirate fight. So, just use your best combos. [12]Fossil Beast ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Fossil Caves HP: ~6,000 Difficulty(1-5): *** Strategy: Don't worry about the two skeletons that support the Fossil Beast throughout the battle. If you defeat one of them, it will just re-appear. You have to focus all of your attacks on the Fossil Beast itself. [13]Anima Beast ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Fossil Caves HP: ~8,000 Difficulty(1-5): varies Strategy: Another duel battle, this time for Richard. [14]Megalith Dragon ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Inland Settlement HP: ~31,000 Difficulty(1-5): **** Strategy: Be SURE that you have high level arts combos such as Bear Bear Crush and Thousand Strike. If you don't, it will be nearly impossible to defeat this guy. You'll also want to have your roles assigned to increase your chances of getting custom combos. [Sub Boss 1]Water Lord ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Final Dungeon HP: ~36,000 Difficulty(1-5): **** Strategy: This is the TOUGHEST sub boss there is. You'll need to have the Spring Orb equiped as well as some Steel Armor. Just attack with all that you've got. [Sub Boss 2]Beast Lord ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Final Dungeon HP: ~20,000 Difficulty(1-5): **** Strategy: This battle is optional (as are the remaining sub boss battles). So, try to avoid this guy. If you DO decide to him, your gonna have a tough time without have the appropriate armor/weapons. [Sub Boss 3]Tone Lord ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Final Dungeon HP: ~20,000 Difficulty(1-5): *** Strategy: Just use your reserve characters and let him have it. Not too hard. [Sub Boss 4]Stone Lord ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Final Dungeon HP: ~30,000 Difficulty(1-5): *** Strategy: This is another Duel Battle. Just use your primary reserve character, and nail this guy. [Sub Boss 5]Wood Lord ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Final Dungeon HP: ~25,000 Difficulty(1-5): ** Strategy: Easy Battle. Just make sure you have some defense against Tree Magic. Try no to use all of you main characters. Sub some of them out for some reserves. [Sub Boss 6]Fire Lord ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Final Dungeon HP: ~25,000 Difficulty(1-5): *** Strategy: Not an extremly difficult fight, but you have to use your entire party. Because of this you may want to skip this guy and go on to the final boss. [Final Boss]Egg ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Final Dungeon HP: ~50,000 (depending on the sub bosses you defeated) Difficulty(1-5): **** Strategy: The final boss depends on the number of sub bosses you have defeated. If you defeat all six, you will face the egg alone. If there was any sub boss that you skipped you will have to fight the coresponding part of the Egg as well. Be SURE to perform a quicksave before engaging this guy. You'll also want to use an Ark Stone before the battle, as well as Soul Crystals on any character low on LP. =COPYRIGHT INFO======================================================== Saga Frontier II is copyright(c) 1999, 2000 Squaresoft & SquareEA.
