EX: {Gargoyle} use your wand on the Gargoyle. {Chest} use your wand on the chest Etc… etc…. etc…. (If there is a Wizard card in a chest or from one of the traders, I will indicate with the word card. (EX: {chest}*card*) I would give the color, but I've gone through several times and some of the chests change the color from one game to the other. I also noticed that in the Rictusempra challenge that At one point is a chest that sometimes gives out an extra bronze card if you go back immediately. The first time I got the extra card, it wouldn't let me hit the crabs, so I went back to the save book, ignored the chest, then went through a third time and was able to get it and hit the crabs afterwards. Might be a glitch in the program.... If you hit an object with a spell, and it doesn’t stay tipped, closed or doesn’t’ fall down, then hit it again until it finishes giving you beans. I will remind you through the first stage, but then not after. ------------------------- Now a word on the bean traders. Each kid will trade a different object. The ones that trade cards will only have the cards you missed in the secret rooms on the last level. Here are their locations: Dungeon: In the anti-room to Snape’s class get Wiggentree bark and Flobberworm mucous. Entrance Hall: To the right of the stairs, get Wiggentree bark. At the top of the stairs and to the right - Silver cards. In the Left-hand hall, silver cards and bronze cards. Grand Staircase: Flobberworm mucous, silver cards and bronze cards. Outside: The girl in front of the doors sells silver cards. The girl to the left of the doors sells Wiggentree bark The boy next to the dragon sells Flobberworm mucous. The boy just after the first door to the greenhouse sells Bronze cards. Fred and George stand next to the Quidditch pitch with a racing broom and Quidditch armor. ====================================================== So, now we begin.... Whomping Willow Once you arrive, go left - over the first root and under the second one when it goes up. Go through the door, {Chest} Go right {Gargoyle} In the next room, {dragon statue}. continue through the next door { luggage}. climb up and past the wall, go under the next root when it rises. {chest} for a chocolate frog. On your right {crack} {Chest} Go back out, under the next root, Ron will show you where to cast your next spell. Follow Ron back into the building - {Gargoyle}. Climb up to the book. Continue around for more beans {block} {Gargoyle} on the left. {Block with Flipendo symbol on it}, Up the stairs. Ron will now go through a door - Don’t follow him yet. There is a Hidden Door to the right of the one he just went out of - Use Alohomora. {Chest} NOW follow Ron through. You now get your first bronze card - out in the open, and the game tells you all about it. {Armor} Hit them a few times. Follow Ron out. Once you jump down behind the big Dragon Statue, don’t follow Ron up the Middle path. Go to your Right {Chest} If you hit your escape key, you will see that there are 6 secrets to find. We can get some of them now, but have to wait until after you read the diary to get the rest. Continue Right, then Hit both Hogwarts flags (above you) with your wand to reveal a hidden room. {Chest}*Card* Now go in front of the Dragon statue and Hit it more than once with your wand. Then turn around, go up central path, but not to the doors yet. Go Left and down some stairs {Chest} . There is also a Crack in the wall, but it is no use to you until you learn how to cut down vines. Go back up the stairs, and to your left { wall plate} {chest}. Go to the raised area to the Right of the front doors {Chest}. Follow Ron into the school. Don’t follow Ron to the Dorm yet - There is still more to get first. To the Left of the stairs on the ground floor {Chest} At the top of the stairs {Armor} (hit them a few times). Go to your left facing the Armor and around the top of the stairs. Look into the entry to the House Points challenge { wall plate}. You can get the beans you see now, but look out for the ectoplasm. It looks like slime, so that’s what I’ll call it from now on. Back out and Look to the left {Mirror} {Chest}. Then back through the mirror hole and keep going around {Witch statue}. (hit the witch a few times) Then continue up the stairs and look to your right - You will see that one of the bricks on the wall has been recessed - You can get one bean from it, but cannot get further until you learn Skurge. Continuing on, skip the door to your left, (Grand Staircase) since it is locked tonight, and go to the statue of the Wizard in the next corner, Hit it with your wand. Step on the plate revealed, then into the secret room - {Chest}*Card* Then go straight out and follow Ron to the common room. End of this stage. ===================================================== By now, you know to hit some of the bean producing things more than once. Statues (except Lockhart ones), Armor and SOME watering cans are things to hit more than once. First thing, go back to the dorm to {chest} *card* and save book. Go back outside, meet Hagrid, go to his hut where you will find more beans and your next Bronze card. (Don't worry about the pigs, they won't hurt you.) Go to Hagrid’s back door for another bean, then around to the other side {chest}. Now as you go back through the grounds, the chests have all magically been refilled with beans for you. This is the only time this will happen. There is also a new chest on the left side around the corner from the front doors. Once back inside, go to your right and through the now unlocked door leading to the Great hall. On your left as you go through this first door; {picture} {chest}. Then follow the hallway on into the great hall and on back the teacher’s area {chest}{chest}. You can now go back to the grand staircase that was locked before. This is where Ron and Hermione are. Don't follow immediately. On the ground floor is a chest with your next card. and another save book. On the first floor, there are {cauldrons} and the silver-key door. (Nick will explain) before going back to the stairs, there is a doorway that leads to a sponge carpet {chest} 2nd Floor look at the tables to the left and right as you go in {chest}{chest} go to the first corner {wall plate} {chest} All the rest of these doors are locked, but go to the end of the hall anyway. {cauldron} 3rd floor. Someone will break a vase. You can get to the cauldron by jumping over Mrs. Norris. Then going toward the DADA class, look left and see another depressed brick in the wall to hit with your wand. go on down, stun the gnome and toss him into his hole. If he won't go all the way in, Flipendo him on in. { chest}. Go back toward DADA and turn in, but don't go all the way into the class yet. look to the right. { crack}, {chest}. Now go into DADA and learn Rictusempra for a total of 30 points if you pass all levels. (NOTE: when you get through all 3 levels of any spell, you have gathered a total of 30 points for your house. 5, 10 and 15 points per each level.) It is now time for the next stage. ====================================================== Rictusempra Challenge: {fire crab} Flipendo it onto the plate in the center. 1st Star. in next room, stand on the board, and flip the next crab into the pit at the back for a ride up to {chest} *Card* You can jump down and stun the next crab to get another 2 beans, or just jump over the railing where the frog is. In the next room, there are 4 crabs in cages in the wall to flip back and release a platform with a chest that holds your next card. flip the snails to their platforms in the middle of their respective areas to lower the 2nd and 3rd stars. You will also unlock the door. in the next area, there are 2 snails to flip into pits at the side. at the end of the next hall, put the gnome into it's hole. Hit the picture of Lockhart {chest} *Card* Save book {cauldron} {chest}*card* (this is the one that sometimes gives an extra bronze card if you immediately go back through the challenge. ) In the next hall, the floor ahead of you will drop, and 2 fire crabs will have to be put to the back of their respective cages. Stun both of them first, flip one back until he falls, then the next in order to avoid being hit by one of them. 4th star. next area, flip both snails over to either side. next room, stun both crabs, then flip them into holes on either side. Look around, you will see which side leads to the star above you. Don't go that way yet. Going the other way, stun the crab, {cauldron} {picture} {gargoyle} opening up a new room, with your 5th star. Now you can jump down and climb up the other side and get 6th star. There is a Flipendo symbol on the wall - hit it for {chest}*card* Go back to the block that held the last star and look down along the floor it is sitting on. You will see a block with a Flipendo symbol on it. flip block out of the way and go down. Look on your right: {chest}*card* then continue, {snail} in the next room, hit the 3 Flipendo symbols to match the picture on the right to open that door. walk over the plate on the floor to {chest}. Then match the picture on the left for another plate and {chest} 7th star. match the final picture. On the left { chest} on the right, stand on the footprints to go up. Behind you {chest}. Then turn back around for the save book and on you go. on the left: {gargoyle} in the next room, flip pictures and flip snails into holes. then, if your wand is still glowing, continue on, if not, go back and hit the gargoyle again and THEN continue on so you can see the hidden room to the right. {chest} continuing on, Flipendo the picture on the right and up the stairs {chest} then continue on to some platforms to the other side. Flip crab to floor plate to lower stairs and open door. Go around to Hallway, { cauldron} you can stun the snails, or just run by them. and then up 8th star. continue {cauldron} {chest}*Card* when your go through the next door, 2 crabs will drop down on either side and you need to flip them to the back holes to release the gate for the 9th star. on the right - {chest}*Card* Save book next to {cauldron} hit the Flipendo symbol to the right of the save book {chest}*card* Now you come to the last room. There is a spiral ramp and 5 fire crabs. In order to lower the finish star, you need to flip 4 crabs into the pit below. To your left is a grate that has the 10th star behind it. In order to get this star, you need to flip the first two crabs into the pit and then come back down to the ground floor. If you look into the pit, you will see a door with a symbol on it. Jump into the pit and open the door. Go through and up the stairs. {picture} go through to the room and step on both of the floor plates. {gnome} {chest}*card*. Go back out and up the stairs to the star and back onto the spiral ramp. Flip the remaining three crabs on down (I flip the last one down just to get it out of my way). Now you have wood beams that spring in and out of the wall. You can just run past the first three, but for the last two, wait until they have sprung out and start running into them. As they slide out of your way, you will run past safely. Now you can jump to the finish star. You can go back through in order to improve your time. If you just run past any snail in the hallways, then it will help out greatly. this stage is now done. ===================================================== Once you get to the main hallway, one of your housemates will tell you that it is time for the House-point ceremony. Go to the house point ceremony and the bean challenge. You will now have Quidditch practice. It will be time for Potions class, but first go to the Quidditch Pitch for your first match. Maximum points is usually 40 for the matches, so keep playing until you get there. I’ve actually gotten 60 points in the second match, but then on two later matches, couldn’t get more than 30, so it evens out. In Potions class, make your first and only Potion. Once out, it will be time for Charms class where you find out about the Chamber of Secrets., but don't go yet. Once you get to the Grand Staircase, go to the floor just past Hermione and go into the DADA classroom. {armor} There are items in all but one of the windows to gather, including the card. Then jump onto the teacher's desk and from there onto the chair. From the chair, you can get to the balcony for a few more beans. You can hit the skeleton of the dragon, but will only let loose some annoying spiders. Go to the next (top) floor for the infirmary. {statue} then in the main room, hit all 4 portraits on the walls to reveal a hidden stair to {chest}*card* Go to the back hall { gargoyle} jump up onto hidden platform to open a room {chest}*card Continue down stairs and hit the two cauldrons. and then to the bottom floor {chest}*card* Now, you can follow Hermione until the first corner. Open the wall for another bean. Now follow Hermione into charms for another 30 point lesson. ===================================================== Skurge Challenge {armor}{slime} after stairs {cauldron}{slime} climb over long block, {slime} go down and to your right { crack} {chest}*card* Go back up and push block as far over the pit as it will go. jump to 1st star. {cauldron} save book get rid of all slime in the next room hit the crab { chest} {red bottle} hit crab again and go out that way. hit two crabs, { cauldron}, {crab}, 2nd star. Now you have to fight peeves - hit him as many times as you can. stay in this hall and hit the gargoyle to reveal how to get to room behind fence. {slime} {slime} {slime} 3rd star back out through Peeves’s room and to save book. {Flipendo symbol} {witch} {gargoyle} to show hidden door go through there, follow through, {jar}. {Flipendo symbol} {chest}*card* {slime} {crab} {crab} now go across the room you cleared of all that slime(hit the Gargoyle on your way by, so you can see the next hidden room) and get the 4th star. door on your left {chest}*card -hidden room {chest} then save book. Use Skurge on the slime, hit snail and Flipendo to plate on floor. {chest}*card* continue {cauldron} jump down into pit {jar} above you Go back and through the door you passed - {slime} Flipendo snail onto the platform. {slime} look above this second plate on the floor. There is a hidden door. Open it, and the next snail will fall onto the platform, unlocking the next door fully. 5th star {chest} down stairs - {box on table} {cauldron} {gargoyle} {pixie} {picture of headless hunt} 6th star go down hole {crab} {crab} {slime} over gate 7th star {slime} on swing as you swing up on the second half, you will see a box on the wall below. Hit that, and it will open a hidden door behind you. go back *card* then back over swings and {cauldron} {pixie} {chest} go past the see-saw. {chest} go up stairs {cauldron} up stairs {cauldron} {slime} go to back room {gnome} {gnome} {chest} go back and get 8th star - Flipendo block down hole and follow. 9th star {chest} {gargoyle} then down stairs onto secret platform - open wall. 10th star and out to your left to the finish star. NOTE: there is a chest at the bottom of the stairs, but it contains Peeves, so you can just ignore it. Finished with this stage. ==================================================== it is now time for the house point ceremony, but you should be able to get another 30-40 points from Quidditch first. You then end up in Myrtle’s bathroom. It is now time for Snape’s Dungeon. You should play another game of Quidditch first though for 40 points. ================================================ Back in the dungeon, go past Snape’s class {armor} on either side. {chest} then turn around {wall} {gargoyle} jump into pit, {slime} climb up {chest}*card* =============================================== Snape’s Dungeon. Open door and go down hall. Look at the opposite wall and hit the two Flipendo symbols. Jump onto the platform. You can hit the slime at the top to reveal 2 chests with frogs in them, or if you don’t need a power boost, jump into the top open door. (without slime) {cauldron} {gargoyle} to reveal hidden steps in lower door. Jump onto the platform, then into the lower door. Go down the steps, being careful not to get slimed (you can Skurge them if you want) and hit the pixie as soon as possible. Now look up and hit the slime to raise the path. Look to the left and right {cauldron} {crack} (the crack is shaped like a face) {chest}*card* Push the 2 snails onto the platform in the middle of the room. This sets free two crabs that need to go into the cages on either side, but go into the cages first yourself to get some goodies. You CAN go into the cages before hitting the snails if you like. Just jump through the bars. {chest} {gargoyle} then into next room and over the invisible platform {cauldron} Hit the slime and 2 pixies on the way down. In the next room, go into the cages to get some goodies, then push the snails into them. If you get caught in the cage with a snail, just stun it and squeeze out through the bars. {chest}*card* Through the next door {gnome} {chest} {crack} {chest}*card* Save book {Skurge} to lower the stairs. {snail} You can Flipendo it on over the edge to get completely rid of it. {chest} (you can ignore this one as it has peeves in it) Look at the Flipendo blocks. Hit Purple and Blue to open the hidden area to the left of the maze. Go down the elevator {gnome} Make your way to the opening on the left - Hit the ring with your wand {chest}. Use the elevator to go back up. Hit Red, Blue and Green to open the way to the hidden area to the right and back of the maze. Then use the elevator to get down and open those pull rings and get a chest in each hidden room. Then go back up, Hit just the Red Flipendo block and you can go back down and follow the carpet to the door. {chest}*card* Hit the Flipendo symbol on the wall to your left, then the block on the floor. {cauldron} {crab} (you can Flipendo the crab into the water if you want.) save book {slime}{pixie} {slime} this will release the gears and let the platforms swing. Skurge the slime at the doors and use the platforms to get through these four rooms. {cauldron} save book. open door and look to the right {chest}*card* {gnome} {cauldron} {crab} climb up and Flipendo crab down, or under the first platform to drop him down there. {slime} {slime} {slime} {gnome} {slime} Don’t go through the door yet. Hit the 4 pixies in the other room, then go over to the other side of THIS room to Flipendo the odd shaped block away from the Gargoyle. Hit the Gargoyle and reveal the safest way across the next room.{chest} Go back to the beginning of the swinging bridge and go over it instead of going straight for the door. Going over the bridge is the 7th and final secret. open door. When you get to the other side of this room, a trap door will drop you down. {crab} {crab} (Flipendo them into the water) cross by jumping over to the next opening (I find at this point that turning off the auto-jump until you get over there best) Here is the object of your search, but don’t get it yet. Once you get the bicorn horn, you will be outside Snape’s Dungeon. Get the beans on the left of the horn first. In Snape’s class, go straight - {chest}*card* Then go to the other side of the class (next to Harry’s table during class) and hit the crack in the wall to reveal a plate on the floor. Step on the plate to raise the hidden steps to {chest}*card* Done with this stage ===================================================== Your next task is the dueling club. I try to defeat all the opponents and get several thousand beans so I can buy what I want for the traders ===================================================== Now it’s time for the Diffindo challenge Go to Herbology and get your 30 points for getting the Diffindo spell right three times. Begin: {vines} {chest} {pot} {chest} {cauldron} There is a colored picture of a rose on your left. Hit it with your wand {chest} {vines} on you left - get beans, then flip snail onto floor plate to open the first part of the exit door. In the courtyard at the back is a {pot} (the second time through, there will be beans on the ledge above the pot). Then look at the arches at either end of the path - there are 4 wall plates that you can Flipendo to open a secret door. {chest}*card* Go left as you leave the secret room and cut the two vines covering the floor plate, get the beans and flip the snail onto it to fully open the exit door. 1st star save book {rope} to open bridge to next courtyard In this next courtyard, let the gnome loose, so he can convert the mushrooms to beans and jump down from the bridge. Down here, there are some beans and a chest containing Peeves. (you can pass the chest up, or open it and hit Peeves with your wand to keep him from hitting you. Once is enough. The room is one of the secrets, so make sure to at least go in.) Now climb back up and put the gnome in his cave and get the beans. There are two recesses to the left and right of the next bridge. You can hit both ropes and raise the blocks up, or just stand on the left block and hit that rope to get a ride up to the ledge. Get the beans on the ledge and hit the central rope to release the bridge. Jump back down, over the bridge and your 2nd star. {pixie} {chest}*card* {pixie} {snail} I like to hit the snail and flip him under the stairs where there is no chest, then he won’t be able to get back to you. On the tables to the left and right are {jar} {chest} Diffindo the ropes and flip the block into the hole to open the next door 3rd star {pot} {armor} {spiky plants} {block}, climb up, {rope} jump to the platform, turn around and jump up to the {vines} {rope} {vines} go down and get the 4th star. {armor} {watering can}, save book. {cauldron} {spider web} step on the swinging platform, hit the rope and then hit the next spider web on your way across so you can jump up for the 5th star. Go left {gargoyle}, up the stairs and across the bridge (past the rope) hidden room 6th star back onto the bridge, cut the rope and turn around 7th star Then if your wand still has power from the gargoyle, you will see the secret passage to your right, otherwise, go back and hit the gargoyle again. {chest}*card* and up the stairs {block} go back to the gargoyle and left, {block} {chest}*card* back over the bridge and left {cauldron} {snail} {pot} climb to the ledge {crab} hit the three slimes (floor, wall, ceiling) {block} {crab}(again) climb up {pixie} {rope} 8th star the platforms ahead will start to move when you jump on them, so hit the two pixies and then run, run as fast as you can to the other side of the pit. {cauldron} save book you can cut the three mushrooms on the left side, then sneak past the active ones and let out the three gnomes so they will turn the active mushrooms into beans (takes quite a while as you have to keep moving back out of the way) then you can toss them into their holes. OR; you can just cut the mushrooms on the left, pick one up, go straight across toss your mushroom to clear the wall and…. Climb the wall and jump down the other side. Now you get your first Venomous Tentacula. ({Tentacula}) Hit it at the base of the vine and the vine will fall off and be no-longer a threat. Go forward and when it spins around, back up and cut the other vine. This will allow you to get past safely. In the middle of the courtyard - {Tentacula} {Tentacula} On the other side {chest} {Tentacula} and up the stairs 9th star you will see two boards suspended by ropes at both ends. Cut the rope nearest you on the first board and go over to get the {bowtruckles} Then back up the plank to the ledge. There is a hidden door behind the large plaque if you hit it with your wand. {pot} {pot} {jar} 10th star {chest} go down to where you hit the bowtruckles for {watering can}{pot} cut both ropes on the next board and cross over, then climb the wall and {bowtruckles}{watering can} save book look on the ground {vines} flip snail onto platform to open the first locks on the door to the shed. In the back left corner, {jar} On the other side of the shed {vines} flip snail onto platform to open the shed completely. Once inside the shed, look up and hit, first the symbol above you, then the rope behind it 11th star. Now, behind you on the left and right are stairs leading down to a gargoyle that I haven’t found a use for and a slime covered door. Hit the slime, the vines and the bowtruckle in your way and out to a regular hall. {web} {web} {web} 12th star. {cauldron} at the pit, hit both ropes on the left to activate the bridge and go to the colored rose straight in front of you. open this secret door to some ledges covered with slime leading down to a chest with your next card. Climb back up and continue on your way.{Tentacula} {Tentacula}{Tentacula} 13th star {cauldron} hit the colored rose for {chest}*card*, then {web} {web} {web} {pot} {web} {cauldron} save book {snail} {pot} {gargoyle} now you can go across the invisible bridge 14th star. Flip the next snail into it’s cage. And then open the crack in the wall. There are some beans down there. This next part is a bit tricky. As you go down the hall, 3 snails will appear. I walk backwards so I can hit the nearest one first. Then flip the next two into their cage to open the trap doors that block the hall at either end. Flip the remaining snail through the place you opened the crack and onto it’s platform to reveal {chest}*card* Now go past the snail cage and hit the two pots on either side of the next door, then go through. Before hitting the finish star, get the chest on the right and the jar on the left. Finished with this stage. You can now go through, skipping what you can to get through as fast as possible for more points. ========================================== as you climb the stairs outside, Ron will tell you that the next ingredient for the potion is in the green house and start running in that direction. Before following him, go back down the stairs and hit the crack in the wall {chest}*card* {gargoyle} now go back up the steps and head to the right behind the girl that sells the silver cards. You will see the secret entrance to the top of the wall {chest}*card* On the other side of the stairs is a plate on the floor you can jump on to see where a hidden card is. You need to learn Spongify before you can get it, so remember where this plate is. Go back inside the school and to the common room. Go up the stairs at the back and stand in the archway at the top. If you look up, you can see a plate on the ceiling that is different from the rest. Hit it with your wand and then turn around and cut the rope. Go back down the stairs to the hidden room. {chest}*card* Now you can follow Ron through the first gateway to the green house, but not through the second one yet. Turn around and look for the wall plate over the gate and hit it to reveal the hidden area. Go into the hidden area and let loose the gnome so he can turn the mushrooms into beans. Then put him back into his hole {chest}*card* Go through the second gate to the green house, but don’t get onto the patio yet, continue on to the left. Look above you for a tree shaped like a dragon and hit it with your wand for 4 more beans {chest}*card* Now go around the patio of the green house for more beans, then go to the left where Ron is headed, but past him to let out another gnome to turn mushrooms into beans. You can lure him to the other side of this area where there are more mushrooms, but have to Flipendo him into them and take his beans before he will change them as well. While he is recovering, continue down the narrow grassy area between the greenhouse and the wall to find {chest} {vines} {chest}*card* Put the gnome back and then go over to Ron and hit the vines next to him. =========================================== here is the greenhouse challenge: We now introduce the moving Tentacula. As you get in range, they will come toward you at a walking pace. Just cut their snapping vines and they will stop dead in their tracks allowing you to get by. As you go into the first area, you will have 4 Tentaculas to deal with. The first and third ones move. Hit all the spiky plants found on the smaller raised platform and next to the vine covered door on the other side of the L shaped bridge. Then let the gnome out of his hole to make beans. Then stun him and toss him onto the lower platform to make beans. Then put him in the gnome hole. Cut the vines from the door {pot}. Look up the stairs { crab}, up the next stairs {crab}. Over the bridge and into the next hall {rope} {rope}. Now you have to jump back down. To avoid having to hit the crabs again, jump onto the taller platform area and from there to the bridge. Then go to the next hall. {rope} {rope}, then hit the plate on the floor that looks like a likely target {gargoyle}. Run over the bridge and PAST the save book to get to the hidden room {chest}*card*. NOW go to the save book, then on to the next area. {vines} {spiky plant} {spiky plant} {watering can}, then around the side of this greenhouse. Now you have to take care of a moving Tentacula, mushrooms and another moving Tentacula. Now you come to the other side of the greenhouse. {pot} {pot} {Spiky plant} {spiky plant} {vines} {web} {spider} {web} {spider} {web} {spider}. {bowtruckles} Now just walk over the floor plate and continue past the bridge that comes out. {bowtruckles} {pot} {wall plate} {chest}. Come back out to the bridge and use it to jump up to a dragon and walk to the back of the roof for more beans. Jump down into the greenhouse, but don’t get the skin yet. There is a pot on the table. It is coming time for the polyjuice potion, but play Quidditch before heading to the 3rd floor. On the way, you will find Nick, and have to go to Professor Dumbledore’s chambers. ================================================== up the stairs {chest} Before going through the door, I must tell you that the Phoenix is on the left, and I have gone through the door and just LOOKED left and it burst into flames. Once it does that, you will be unable to go through these rooms, so don’t do it. Go right and to the professor’s desk, where you will talk to the sorting hat. Then go to the area behind the desk {chest}*card* Go up the stairs to the next room and look up at the window {chest} Then hit the wall plate under the window to unlock the hidden elevator. Take the elevator up *card* Now, if you are careful, you can get the red bottle to the right of the phoenix, THEN go to him and finish out this room. ====================================================== Ron will now meet you outside next to the dragon statue, but before following him all the way, turn right into the transfiguration class. There is a {chest} on the table nearest the door, and a {cauldron} on the other side of the room. Follow Ron, and find out that you need a Goyle hair, then follow Goyle to start this stage. Up the stairs and into the garden {bowtruckles} {mushrooms} {chest}*card* {vines} {Flipendo} You can now get the first set of beans over the stairs by flipping the block over and climbing up. Then jump down to the stairs and go to the top to jump to the next set of blocks overhead and then on through the door. Get rid of the 3 vines along the arches and the one blocking the plank, then the spider web into the transition room {chest} For the next room, Jump onto the beam, cut the spider web and jump into the fireplace. Jump to the back and flip the block to the floor, then jump (by stages) down to the bottom and go out. Flip the block to the book cases and then to the left. Look behind the wall to the left {gargoyle}. Climb up to the bookcases and then jump into the hidden room {chest}*card* Jump down, go through the door and up the stairs. Save book. Continue on, flip the fire crab to the pit on the left, and then stand on the platform he was on to get to the next room {gnome} {web} {chest} Then next part can fool you. Don’t go right just yet. Go straight and open the door covered with the web, then climb up and flip the block down. Follow the block through and hit the spiky plants, then climb up. Let out the gnome and jump back to the block so he will make beans, then put him back in his hole. Climb up on the right, then hit the gargoyle to find the hidden way up to your side. There are two spiky plants and some goodies down this way. Then go back to the ledge and jump through the window for some more goodies. In the next area are several Tentaculas and spiky plants. In the areas below, only two of the four contain anything, just a chest and a cauldron. Climb up to the window, then hit the web. You are now above that path I told you not to take, and can climb down and go through the door. This brings you to a room where the crabs drop down. Flip them into the cage at the back to raise the room and get two snails to flip into THEIR cage. This will raise the room to {chest}*card* {web} and back out above the path again. Now go to the save book in the library. {pixie} go around the bookcase to your left {web} {gargoyle} to reveal secret area {pixie} {lock} {chest}. Continue around {web} at the end of the bookcases is an innocent looking clear area. Walk into this area backwards, because it will drop you down to a fire crab that is already firing at you. Flip him into his cage to re-raise the floor. Now you can continue to the next area. There is a lock above you and to the right as you go through the next archway. Hit the lock and go up the stairs. Take the ledge around to the area behind the gargoyle {chest}*card*. Now you can hit the gargoyle from in front or behind to find the secret stairs to the lower level. Here, on the floor is a color key to flip the beams and open the two doors on either side of the pit above you. There is also a gargoyle here, but he just shows you the same thing. Go back up the stairs and to the cross-beams. One side contains just a chest, but the other side contains a chest with a card in it. Continuing on - {pixie} {slime} {slime} {slime} and a chest with Peeves in it. In the next room are 4 piles of slime, and a room you can see into, but cannot get into unless you hit a gargoyle. The chest contains 3 frogs. In the next room, are 3 piles of slime and another gargoyle, incase you missed the last two. Knock out the two webs and climb up to the attic. {pixie} {web} {chest} {web} {cauldron} {web} {lock}. Then jump down. Cut the rope on the block, and jump down to deal with the bowtruckle. Go to the area to the right, hit the spiky plant, and let the gnome do his work with the mushrooms before hitting him and taking him to his hole on the other side of this area. Then climb up on the block and look behind you. {spiky} {spiky} {chest}. Turn back around and go over the ledge to the wider part. Look into the hole {rope} Jump down, deal with the 2 Tentaculas and go over the drawbridge. {spiky} {spiky} {bowtruckles} Hit the rope above you {chest}*card* Go back out, deal with all 4 spiky plants along the water, and turn into the next little area. {crab} {gargoyle}, turn around to see the hidden niche in the wall {chest} back around to where the snail is - stun him and continue on. Deal with the 4 spiky plants and open the lock on the door to get inside. On the right and left in the middle are 2 locked doors leading to 2 cauldrons. Now go up to Goyle and you are finished with this stage. ======================================== Play a game of Quidditch. Then bring the hair to Hermione in the bathroom. Now you will turn into Goyle. Go down to the basement and follow the Slytherin to their Portal. Step onto the central platform. {armor} {armor} {statue} {Flipendo block} Turn around and go into the next room. {rope} {rope} {gnome} {gnome} {gnome} in next anti-room, hit the statues from left to right. Next room, step on floor plate Hit the ring on the wall., then the Flipendo symbol behind it. Save book Go around and to the right, down the stairs. {slime} There are 3 wall plates to flip back and {chest} Go back to the top of the stairs and turn Right. (At this time, I find it better to turn off auto-jump) Jump from block to block down to {chest}*card* Jump back up and continue past the floor plate and door. Jump onto the first floating block, then hit the plate on the wall. Jump up to second block and then into doorway. Lots of slime to get rid of in here. Hit the Flipendo symbol to release slime onto the bridge below. Then Hit the Gargoyle and jump down. Stand on the foot-print block. Go over the bridge and jump the slime. {cauldron} {cauldron} {pixie}{pixie}{pixie}{pixie} {gargoyle} Now you can jump onto the floating blocks to the right of the gargoyle to a hidden door. {armor}{armor}{chest}*card* go back to the Gargoyle and hit him again. About half way down toward the hidden door, jump onto the floating blocks to the next hidden door. {chest}{chest}*card*{armor} Go back to the gargoyle and hit him, then through the hidden door. In the first hall, hit the picture of the geometric symbol on the left. {web} {spider}{web} {spider} {web} {ring on the wall} In the library, hit the ring on the back wall to be able to climb up on the book cases. Hit the back wall to release {chest}*card* Go out of the library and around to the right, go in the next door and {armor} {armor}, then hit the water fountain {chest}*card* Go back out and to the right again. Hit the flags on either side of the dragon statue Turn around and go into the common room. there are a couple of jars on tables, then go down the corridor to the left. If you turn left, you will be in the girl’s dorm, and the girls won’t let you go further. If you turn right, you meet Draco. Once you have talked with Draco, go back to the boy’s dorm and up the stairs {chest}, then go back out of the common room and turn back into Harry. Then run as fast as you can while avoiding other students to get out. ============================================= DADA is next, but play a game of Quidditch first. Spongify Challenge. In the first room, jump down to get both gnomes and both cauldrons. Putting both gnomes into their holes will open a door underneath the Spongify carpet and reveal {gargoyle} climb back up, and look above you to the right side of this room. {Spongify} and jump up to the 1st star, then turn around and jump to the hidden ledge {chest} Now look up at the wall to your right. Hit it with Alohomora. Climb onto the block on the left and jump into the secret chamber {chest}*card* Jump back to the next room {imp} {gnome} to release next hidden room. {chest} {Spongify} to next room. Instead of hitting the next carpet, go around and to the left. Climb up {Spongify} then Hit the next wall to your left for the 2nd star. Use the platform to get to the other side {chest}, then use the platform to jump to the 3rd star. Save book This next couple of rooms are tricky. In the next room, there are 3 imps to toss into the imp hole, but they recover fast, and I haven't made it through without being bitten at least twice. Take care of the slime below the moving block and flip it over and in front of the imp hole in the column. Then hit the gargoyle behind the first platform to open a secret room behind the frog {chest}*card* Climb up to the first platform {Spongify} climb up to next carpet and turn around {Spongify}. Get the 4th star and turn around to get to the next room. {bottle} {bottle} Flip all 4 crabs into their cages to open a floor to {chest}*card* {Spongify} Now back up to the edge of this ledge and look up. Hit the Flipendo symbol. Jump back down to the floor that held the crabs , then back up to the ledge you started on. Look up and hit the Flipendo symbol there. (when you go back through, just hit the Flipendo symbol above the door you com in to, {Spongify}to the first beam and Hit the Flipendo symbol across the way. Then jump to the star and get out) {Spongify} and then jump from Beam to Beam and get the 5th star. Your weight will also open the door. {slime}, then jump down. At the stairs, climb into the Picture of the sorting hat on your left {chest} Climb back out. Look at the 4 pictures to the right and hit the top left one to change the stairs. {chest} Next room {pixie}{pixie}{pixie}, then jump down into the area on your right. {gargoyle} climb back up. {Spongify} flip block into hole {Spongify} Hit crack on the wall over other ledge and climb into it. for the 6th star Go back into the lower area and flip the block over to the ledge and climb up for the 7th star. Save book {Spongify} {crab} {slime} {slime} The slime in front of you reveals a crab and 2 frogs, so only get that if you need the frogs. Hit the slime above you and climb up. {slime} {Spongify} {chest on table} 8th star. {pixie} {Spongify}{Spongify}{Spongify} 9th star. Hit the flying key to reveal {chest} Jump down to the Save book, then down again {cauldron} {cauldron} {gargoyle} Jump down the 3 hidden blocks and hit the wall plate on the middle column. {Spongify} {chest}*card* {Spongify} climb back up to gargoyle {Spongify} In the next room, walk toward the chest, and the floor will drop. {spider} {spider} {chest} (the first time through, Go into one of the alcoves with the Flipendo symbols. The block will raise up, and you will be able to jump into a hidden area {chest}{Spongify} The second time through, hit the 2 Flipendo symbols to go back up. {gargoyle} {pixie} {pixie} hidden room behind frog {chest} Then in the next room, {pixie} {pixie}, jump on the foot plate to ride down and reveal the Spongify carpet. {chest}*card*. Hit the wall plate on your left for another secret area. {Spongify} go up the stairs and here is a chest with Peeves in it. {rope} {crab} {web} {Spongify}{spider}{spider} and go over the bridge for the 10th star. Save book Jump onto the platform and THEN activate the Spongify carpet. When the top hammers go down, jump straight up and you will get past them. In the corner of the next corridor, look up. You will see a spider in it’s web. Leave them alone for now. {Spongify} but don’t hit the finish star yet. Look above it and hit the wall plate with your wand. Turn around {Spongify} Jump over to the {chest}. Now you can hit the spider below you, but not it’s web. Jump down for {chest}*card* Now drop to the web, sever it and go back to the finish star. (Just above the web is a wall plate to activate a Spongify carpet, in case you severed the web too soon .) You can go back for speed if you want. ================================================= Now that you have learned Spongify, you can go to the carpets at the bottom of the Grand Staircase. The floors are labeled in the European fashion. Here is what each will do for you; |fourth floor| |Second floor | |silver card | |first floor | the first Floor brings you to the gold card challenge The second floor brings you to Transfiguration, Charms and the Bathroom. There is a Spongify carpet that will get you one floor up (DADA) The fourth floor will get you to the Hospital Wing Get the silver card, then jump to the 4th floor and go all the way back to the stairs with the 2 cauldrons. Jump on the Grey part of the floor to reveal a hidden area. Go down the stairs {Spongify} {chest}*card* Go all the way back out to the grand staircase, and hit the wall plate on the left to reveal {slime}{rope} and reveal a new carpet and open some walls. {Spongify} {chest}*card* {chest} Then jump down one more floor. Jump down one more floor and go to the wall just past the Charms class. Open it up {Spongify} {chest} You now have all 10 secrets in the Grand Staircase. But go into the bathroom, and to the other side of the sinks {chest}*card* Go into the toilets and wait for Myrtle to open her stall for you. Here is what is in each of the stalls on this side from the door to the back: Spiders Nothing (this is where you came in) Frog Beans (but this stall is open, so don’t get them until you go on, or you have to go back through when she opens her door again.) Pixie (will blow up for you) Beans. Now, go back to Myrtle’s stall and stand on the wall between it and the first one. Line up nice, and run and jump over to the other side. Here is what is in these stalls from the door to the back: Gnome (nothing to do with him though) Nothing Spiders Mucous Bark Pixie (will blow up for you) ================================================= Go back to the entrance hall and to the top of the stairs leading to the front door. {Spongify} {chest}*card* Now go down the dungeon steps and open the wall to the left at the bottom. {Spongify} {chest} 12 of 12 secrets done. ================================================= Go outside. Remember that plate that opens the side of the castle wall? Go to the crack in the wall next to the Diffindo challenge and hit the gargoyle, then run past the girl that sells cards and on up the steps. Jump on the floor plate, and you can now use Spongify to get to the next card. Use Spongify to get to the card on the other side of the doors. 8 of 8 secrets completed outside the castle. ================================================ Go back in and go to the house point ceremony. Ron will tell you to go to Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom, but play the last game of Quidditch first. After a long sequence, you go to Hagrid’s hut. On the way there, look at all the secrete places to finally get your 6 of 6 secrets for the nighttime grounds, then into the forest alone, all by yourself, with no one to help you (like that is different in this game) {gargoyle} {Spongify} {spider} then cut the web under the first log. {Spongify} {bowtruckles} {chest} then cut the web under the second log. {Spongify} Now jump to the other log and hit the Flipendo symbol on the wall. Follow the cave back {chest}*card* If you go over the next bridge, it will dump you into the mushrooms, so just jump down from this side and let the gnomes out of their gnome hole to turn the mushrooms into beans, then put them both back and climb up to the Save book. {web}{spider}{web}{web}{spider}{pixie}{pixie} Now use the Spongify plates to get to the bottom of the tree. Jump down where the frog is {Spongify}*card* Spongify back down again and go through the tree this time. {web}{web} There are 3 spiders behind webs in the next cave. Cut all the webs you can and get all 3 spiders to reveal a secret room {chest}*card* Now climb back up to where the 3rd spider lies stunned and look right {chest}*card* Turn around{Spongify} There is a secret area if you jump down into the water and walk up stream, then look right {chest} Now climb up and take care of any imps. Save book {vines} From this point on, most spiders have to be hit twice to stun them. {spider} {spider}{spider} {vines}{bowtruckles}{rope} Climb up {vines}{column} {Spongify}{web} on right {chest}*card* Go past the next chest and hit the web, then hit the chest to get the gnome to throw him into the mushrooms. He will turn them into beans, then you can put him in his hole. Flipendo the tree and start to walk across. It will fall down. Hit the vines on your right and left to reveal some jars and a potion cauldron. {web} And it is now time to fight Aragog. For each web column; Stun the spiders, then cut the web column. Once the last column is cut, Aragog will drop to your level and try to kill you. Use your left or right arrows to run circles around him while you hit him with Rictusempra until he falls into the pit. NOTE: you have enough potion at this time to just stand in one spot and hit him from there. He will shoot spider webs at you and bite you, but will also rear up and reveal his Rictusempra symbol. Hit that and hurt him faster. Ron will pick you up in his dad’s car, and you go to visit Hermione and start your final adventure. ================================================== THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS. There are 2 sets of secrets here. Start out by hitting the slime on the left wall. Get the crab and flip him into the pit. Go back out and hit the slime on the right wall. {crab}{Gargoyle}{slime}, then jump to where the Spongify carpet is, {slime}{flip the crab into the pit, and go into the secret room {chest}. Back out {Spongify} ride the elevator to the first landing {chest}{chest}. Ride the elevator to the bottom and hit the Flipendo symbol on the wall. {cauldron} {cauldron}. Save book. {web} Jump down. {spider}{spider}{spider} {spider}{spider} {slime}{Spongify} Now to get past the chopping walls, stand as close as you can to a wall without getting hit, and when it comes down, run forward You will have to do this 3 times. Save book Some rocks will fall down, hit the Flipendo on the remaining one to climb up and to the right. {Spongify} Now you will see a web ahead of you. as you go into this corridor, the walls will try to crush you. Hit the web and get to the edged without jumping off. Turn around and go to the new corridor to the left for a secret room {chest}. The other new corridor doesn’t have anything in it. Jump down. {slime} then go right {web}{chest}turn around {web}. Save book Get cauldrons on either side and then jump down. Behind you is another cauldron. Now go through in front. There is a fire crab below and out of your reach. There are 3 or 4 pixies that require you to hit them twice each to get rid of them. Go to the right {gargoyle}{Spongify} {gargoyle}{Spongify}{Spongify} {imp}{imp}{imp} Now as you come over where the crab is, there are bridges on either side of an elevator. Use the bridge to the right and look over the gap {rope}. Hit the symbol and jump down {chest} (3 of 3 secrets) Flip the crab onto the lower area, jump down after him and flip him into the abyss. Use the Spongify carpets to get back to the elevator and take it down to where the crab was at {Spongify} In this next tunnel, there is a Flipendo symbol on the ceiling that will release the cauldrons on either side. (This ends the first of 3 parts, part 2 next with 4 secrets) In the next room, there are 4 fire crabs. Hit the Flipendo symbols on either side to reveal floor plates to flip one crab each onto. Hit the Flipendo symbol on the wall to uncover the Spongify carpet, and use it. In this next room, you have 2 imps and a pixie to take care of. Once both Imps are in their holes, your release a secret wall {Gargoyle} Hit the Flipendo symbol on the wall to uncover the Spongify carpet, and use it. Now you can use the two half bridges you got when you flipped the crabs below. Hit the Flipendo on the wall and look down. Hit the pixie and {Spongify} If your wand has gone out at this point, you need to go back and hit the gargoyle again. In this next short corridor are 2 secret rooms {chest}. Drop down and hit the ropes on either side to go down. Save book.>>>>> Flipendo symbol on the floor to get a frog. Continuing on, you come to an are with two corridors. If you go down the first corridor, you will hit a trip light and fall. There is a pit in the other corridor. You will be coming back to this area, and the 2 snails are really annoying, so Flipendo the snails into the pit.. Look up, and hit both pixies to get them out of the way. At this point, you can go into the corridor with the trip beams and get just to the edge of the trap door. Turn around and look up. Here is a snake symbol. Hit it to reveal a gargoyle that will show two hidden beams you can use to avoid the Highlighted section below. {Spongify} This will take you to the first moving beam. On the way up, hit the rope in the wall, then jump to the next moving beam. Hit the rope at the top of this one as well. Now jump down and go to the gap on your right. Get two more pixies {Spongify} and land on the next moving beam. Hit the rope on this one and on the next one, then jump down twice to land in the area where the snails were. Now the dropped beams block the trip lights and you can climb over them, getting a card in the process. Jump down again, {cauldron} Save book. In this next area, the camera moves from just behind you to above you for one of those perspective changes you may remember from the Sorcerer’s Stone game. Use the right and left arrow keys to move left and right. Use the up and down arrow keys to aim your wand. If you don’t panic, then it is just a matter of jumping over the gaps and hitting the vines with Diffindo to get them out of your way. Once you jump down at the end, the Boulder will crash into the opening above you, you will drop down past the place where the four crabs were and into the next to last area. Save book. In the next room, there is a huge hammer tied back with a rope. Below you is an area with two fire crabs that will try to hit you. If you jump down by accident, go to the door on the far left, hit the gargoyle and then take the stairs back up. I like to stand on the hammer, hit the rope and ride. Don’t jump off when the hammer breaks the wall opposite, as this will result in injury. Ride it back again, then jump off on the next swing. (I am still missing a secret in this final area. If you know it, please let me know) Now we reach the chamber itself. The snake heads will be shooting jets of flame that you have to avoid by crossing between when the way is clear. Now charge up with that potion and walk into the save book. Jump down and go through a moderately long sequence before having to face the Basilisk. I have found that if you hit the Basilisk just when he roars or just as he spits acid, you will hit him. For the first part, He will hang out in Slytherin’s mouth and shoot down to bite you from there. Hit him until he gets pissed off and goes back into the mouth. Perspective changes again, and the Basilisk will now pop up from whichever hole in the floor is closest to you at the time. Keep hitting him until he dies and kills the diary. Following is a longish sequence and then the only thing left is the leaving feast. Before going to the leaving feast, purchase any cards you may need and go to the gold star challenge at the grand staircase. ================================================= GOLD STAR CHALLENGE Run down the hall with all the curtains hiding the full size pictures of the 11 gold cards and hit the save book. In the first room, I just ignore the fire crabs and jump down to the Spongify carpet, activate the carpet and jump to the 1st card. Open the door and jump on the flying blocks to the to the 2nd card. Cut the ropes on either side of the drawbridge and go into the next room. Climb up on one side or other and THEN jump onto the raising column to get the 3rd card. Open the door. Cut the rope and Skurge your way up to the 4th card. I find it easiest to juts pre-aim your wand and a slight downward angle and then jump and Skurge to clear the next block in my way. {Spongify} to the 5th card. Hit the lock on the floor to open the trapdoor, {Spongify} to the 6th card. Open the next door, climb up and open the next door {gargoyle}, then climb down to the 7th card. Then jump down to the bottom entry, cut the rope and go into the next room. Flipendo the blocks right and left to get all the way up to the 8th card. There is a rope on your right, but it only leads to a crab, so you can just leave it alone. As you go through the next door, you can turn around and see another rope. Cut it to release the Spongify carpet. {Spongify} 9th card. Open next door. In the next room, Flip the blocks on the right and left full, and flip the middle block just to the middle. Climb up to the 10th card, then over to the door. Cut the rope to reveal another (time saving) carpet. {Spongify} {Spongify} {Spongify} {Spongify} to the 11th and last card. You end up in the card hall with the large pictures revealed from Bertie Bott to Harry Potter. The first and last card will animate if you go up and touch them.
