This is considered to be the most effective pistol ever used. It served the Untited States Military for almost eighty years before finally being replaced by the beretta. Its fast firing rate made it a favorite among US troops through out the great wars of the twientith century. The "Colt 1911" as it is called is also pretty silent. Perfect for sneaking up on unsespecting enemies and dropping a round on them. As said before, no gun is perfect, and the Colt 1911 does have one flaw. It is deemed as habing automatic fire, but really it is semi auto. If the gun was truly auto you would only have to hold down the trigger [Well acually the left mouse button]. However that is not the case. You must manually press the left mouse button down for every shot that you take. This allows you to contorol the firing rate but it also generates a problem. It can sometimes lock up to where it wont shoot for a second. This isnt a big deal, as you will probably only be firing short bursts. However those vital few seconds can cause you to die, especially on hard difficulty. ------------------------------ -[ Thompson sub-machine gun ]- ------------------------------ Magazine Capacity <> 30 Rounds Commonly Used By <> American Infantry Classification <> Submachine Gun Special Features <> N/A Weapon Description- No World War II shooter would be complete without this, and it certainly was not overlooked by EA for this game. The Thompson Submachine Gun delivers fast automatic fire with decent range and accuracy. Though not as usefull as the BAR it certainly gets the job done quickly. It wieghs quite a bit though, but its performance in combat easily dismisses that problem. EVERY World War II and most Vietnam shooters have hace this weapon. The Thompson was designed for close quarters combat and served its purpose very well. The large 30 round clip can be emptied in less than 5 seconds! Each bullet will take out 15% of your enemies health. That may not sound like alot, but when you have 10 bullets per secon streaming into your enemies body you realize how good this weapon truly is. ------------------------------ -[ Browning Automatic Rifle ]- ------------------------------ Magazine Capacity <> 20 Rounds Commonly Used By <> American Infantry Classification <> Support Gun Special Features <> N/A Weapon Description- With a maximum ammo compacity of 500 rounds the BAR Automatic Rifle serves its purpose as a light wieght support machine gun very well. Though its clip is on the small side [20 rounds], it delivers automatic fire at a decent rate while still being accurate and having a long range. Its loud and ready to kick some major ass. I personally prefer this weapon over the Thompson due to its accuracy and damage. The BAR can be used in almost any situation. If you come to a sneaky German popping out from behind a wall the BAR will take car of him quickly. If you need some suppresing fire to flush out a next of snipers this is the weapon for you. No sniper rifle and an enemie firing at you from afar? No problem, just aim down the scope and fire away. -------------------------- -[ Mark II Frag Grenade ]- -------------------------- Magazine Capacity <> 1 [Max Ammo 10] Commonly Used By <> American Infantry Classification <> Grenade Special Features <> N/A Weapon Description- One of the most usefull weapons in the entire game. The Mark II frag grenade is well, a grenade. It can deliver a large explosion and take out any enemy in its radious. The original Call of Duty had the same old grenade throwing system found in any other fps. United Offensive takes this a step farther by adding a "cook" ability. If you want to cook the grenade hold down the left and right mouse button and wait for the crosshair to pulse four times then throw. -------------------------------------- -[ M-1 Carbine Semi-Automatic Rifle ]- -------------------------------------- Magazine Capacity <> 8 rounds Commonly Used By <> United States Infantry 40's-60's Ammunition Used <> 30-06 (7.62x63 mm) Classification <> Bolt Action Semi Automatic Rifle Special Features <> N/A Secondary Attack <> N/A Weapon Information- This was first adopted by the US military in 1944 the M1 Carbine is a smaller more compact version of the M1 Garand. The army needed a more campact and lighter standerd assault rifle for the paratroopers. Thus the M1 carbine was born and manufactured from Winchester. It was the standerd issue infantry rifles for paratroopers in the allied invasion of normandy in 1944. Though slightly weaker then the Garand the Carbine was able to deliver fast fire with superb accuracy. The carbine was used in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War [Obviously]. It is worth noting that this weapon is still being manufactured today by several small time arms manufacturers for sale to the public. The drawback to this weapon is the low damage per shot. It takes multiple hits to kill one target as with the K98 it only takes one. Two shots to the torse will take an enemy down and 4 shots anywhere else will as awll. The M1 is somewhat scarce in this game just like in the actual war. When you do come across it I suggest you use it to its full extent. THe eight round magazine will give a sharpshooter the opportuntie to take out eight german soldiers. It uses a bolt action mechanizm so you will have to reload after each shot. Luckily for you the reload time is very short and will not effect the weapons overall performance. ---------------------------------- -[ Springfield '03 Sniper Rifle ]- ---------------------------------- Magazine Capacity <> 5 rounds Commonly Used By <> American Infantry Classification <> Sniper Rifle Special Features <> Scope Weapon Description- The Springfiel '03 is definitally one of the more usefull weapons in the game. That being said, it's also the best sniper rifle. This is mainly due to its scope, which consists of two vertical and horizontal lines that cross all the way. The other Sniper Rifles have scopes where the lines end about half way through. What's up with that? In the Media, most people can recognize the sprinfield as the most used sniper rifle. That is true, but most soldier actually preffered other rifles to this, escpecially the KAR98k. The Springfield has a maxium ammo campacity of 200 rounds, which is usually more than enough. Its clip size is a maximum of 5 rounds. Depending on the situation that can be a major problem. It has a slow reload action and low damage for a sniper rifle. You might find your self shooting your target twice if you dont hit him in the head. After the first world war the US Army decided it needed a new semi-automatic infantry rifle. John C. Garand designed a semi-automatic, or self loarding rifle and put it up for patent in 1932. Once accepted he quickly started to design the first version of the M1 Garand. The US. Army accepted the design in 1936 and started to manufactur the M1 Garand. Soldiers quickly found that the M1 was a trouble some weapon to use. The news spread all the way up to the U.S. Congress who later decided to have the weapon redesigned. So Garand quickly went to work in designing a new version of the gas chamber mechanizm that the current M1 rifles used. He produced a much more effective and reliable system that was implemented to all current and future rifles. As far as the game goes the M1 Garand Automatic Assault Rifle serves its purpose pretty well. It delivers a fast fire rate while still doing significant damage to the target. One shot to the head and two shots to the torso will put a german down for good. However the gun does have some obvious problems. It can only be reloaded after the entire clip is depleted. The M1A1 Bazooka fires a high incediary rocket than explodes upon impact. It has a large blast radious dealing 100% damage to any german soldier in range. However the core idea behind this weapons creation is being an anti-tank gun. It will take two shots from this weapont to bring a tank down, one it you hit it in the turret. The Bazooka is nothing more than a large steel tube. You must go through a very slow reoloading process after each shot. When your in the thick of battle dodging bullets left and right this can be rather annoying. My main problem with this weapon is that it is simply not used enough! First created by Fedor Tokarev, as the name can tell you, it served the Red Army and the North Vietnamise army well. It eventually stopped in production by 1952, but was used by the army and police forces for another 20 years. It is however more uneffective in Call of Duty: UO is lessthen the Colt 1911. The accuracy of this weapon is equal to that of the Colt, but the stopping power is no where near the same. The bullets will still reach your enemie but will do alot less damage then at close range. Despite its lack of stopping power it is still a great gun. Since many Germans carry it there is a ton of ammo lying around. Private Ender groans and responds negatively, which leads Moody to yell at him. Once you can move head down the path and follow the rest of your squad. Turn left when you come to the tree line and stroll down the small hill. To your right is a stack of logs. Walk over behind them and you will be ambushed by a German Patrol. Quickly crouch [The "C" Key] before the soldiers can take any life off of you. If you want to quickly rebrush on your skills stand up. Press the right mouse button to switch your view to the iron sight. Yout carrying an M1 Garand, so you will only be able to get an instant kill by shooting an enemie in the head. Practice firing at group of enemy soldiers. After a few moments the sound tank tracks will fill the area. After a few seconds the trees in the area will begin to fall down. Finally the Panzers will role in and signal that its time for you to leave. Quickly run back up the hill and head right. Run back to where the Jeeps were. Hop on .50 Cal Rifle of the jeep on the left side of the clearing. ---------------------- Get back to Company HQ ---------------------- Sargent Moody will start up the Jeep and accelerate forward. You will come to a small dip in the ground where some germans will attack you from the left side. Take them out with the mounted machine gun. Moody will drive through a narrow opening in the forest. Eventually you will come to another group of germans behind a cobblestone wall. Shoot them up will Moody is driving through. You will reach a large field with german troops on the upper right part of the area. Take them out with your machine gun. After a bit more driving Moody will finally reach the road where he rams the jeep into an oncoming car. Quickly face the turret left and kill the group of germans standing in the truck. You will eventually reach a dead end where the jeep stalls. Quickly take out the group of germans on the left then turn right. Several enemie soldiers will start to advance on your position. Use your .50 cal to hold them off until Moody can get the jeep started up again. The Jeep will rocket down the road passing up another German patrol on the left. Moody then drives the jeep to what seems to be a "Shortcut" that actually turns out to be a dead end. The Jeep is stalled again too! Anyway hold off the german troops until Moody gets the jeep started again. He will drive the vehicle a short ways back down the road then turn left into a clearing. Fire upon the advancing forces on the right until Moody drives the jeep out of the clearing. After a few more twists and turns you will come to a huge field with company HQ down the road to the left. When Moody finally reachs the barn where the HQ is located hop out. --------------------------------------- Follow Private Anderson to your Foxhole --------------------------------------- Sargent Moody will report to Captain Foley about your recent encounters. Use this time to look for any supplies [Health, Ammo] that you might need. Once Foley is done chatting he will inform you to go to your foxhole. Look for a soldier next to the doorway named Private Anderson. Go up to him and he will begin sprinting. --------------------- Hold the Line (Right) --------------------- Follow him outside then run over to your foxhole. Make sure you quicksave [F5] a few times along the way due to all the damaging explosions happening. When you finally reach your foxhole jump on down and crouch. You can peak your head off and fire at some enemy troops if you want. At one point or another a Nazi might jump into your foxhole and starting to fire at you. Press the left shift button to do a melee attack or just shoot him in the head. Eventually Private Moody will signal for you to follow him to man the .30 cal. Hop out of your foxhole and follow Moody back across the battlefield. -------------------- Hold the Line (Left) -------------------- Once you reach the designated trench hop down and pick up the .30 Caliber Light Machine Gun. Use the right mouse button to mount the machine gun. On the other side of the clearing german troops will begin to advance on your position in large numbers. The .30 caliber Machine gun will pretty much take care of them in one hit, so fire away. After a couple of waves a german Half-Track will pull up next to you. Use your machine gun to slaughter the troops the unload from it. A couple more waves of enemies will advance on your position. Take them out but watch the right flank for sneaky german troops. Eventually Moody will ask you to follow him once again. -------------------------------- Follow Moody to the Next Foxhole -------------------------------- Hop out of your foxhole and follow Moody about 4 meters to the next one. Grab the Springfield '03 Sniper rifle from the dead soldier. Whew that was hard... ------------------------- Kill the two MG42 Gunners ------------------------- Here is where the fun begins. Press the right mouse button to look through the rifles scope. You need to kill the two MG42 gunners firing down on the ridge. Directly ahead of you in the middle of the clearing is a large smoking tank. The MG42 Gunners are positioned on the hill on the opposite side of the battlefield each one on one side of the tank [Well sorta]. Shoot them both in the head to for an instant kill. Sargent moody will then request for you to cover him. ------------------- Cover Sargent Moody ------------------- You dont have to really do anything to pass this objective. Moody will fire at invisible targets while you get to enjoy seeing the hills being bombed the **** out of them by your air support. ------------------------------------ Follow Sargent Moody the Right Flank (Spelling Error in the game) ------------------------------------ These objectives are a dime'a'dozen arent they? Anyway hop out of your trench and head to the right whil following Sargent Moody. Make sure you have an M1 Garand so you can fire back at enemy troops. Tail Sargent Moody until you run into some German forces near a large hill. Aim for the torse and head to take them down quickly. When all of the enemies are dead head up the hill and you will be faced with a new objective. -------------------------------------------------------- Get to a foxhole, grab a Bazooka, Fire at Incoming Tanks -------------------------------------------------------- Run down the hill taking out any german troops in your way. At the bottom is a foxhole with a Bazooka. Go over and grab it then look to your left at the clearing. Advancing towards you is a Panzer Tank. Fire two rockets at the tank to destroy it. -------------------------------------------- Move to Next Foxhole, destroy incoming Tanks -------------------------------------------- Go right and head down the ridge until you come to another Foxhole with more Bazooka Ammo. Fire off two more rockets and the incoming tank to destroy it. -------------------------------------------- Move to Next Foxhole, destroy incoming Tanks -------------------------------------------- Head down the ridge to the right and you will once again come toa foxhole. Way off in the distance another Tank will start advancing towards you. Fire off a rocket or two to blow up the tank. -------------------------- Hold the Line at all Costs -------------------------- Three of Four Tanks will start to advance on your position. Just when they start firing their machine guns several of them are suddenyl blown up. If you look to the right of the clearing several Bradly tanks will start advancing out of the woods. Listen for some neat info but otherwise just wait for them to finish. When the group is done talking head out of the tent and follow the rest of your squad. Eventually you will reach a small hill with several rocks on the top. Crouch down then head up the hill. When you get to the top the squad will be ambushed by german troops at the base of the hill. It kicks off with a grenade exploding near a soldier in the middle of the clearing. --------------------- Protect Sargent Moody --------------------- The soldier near the grenade that just exploded, Bobby, is wounded and is huddled up against a rock. Sgt. Moody decides to be a hero and rescue him, which would be very brave in real life considering your going up against an MG42 alone The MG42 will not acually hit Moody, instead the gunner will focus his attention on you. The M1 your using doesnt have the accuracy to take out the gunner from afar, so your going to have to find another alternative. Go down to one of the rocks on the left side of hill. Throw a few grenades at the MG42 gunner to kill him. Once he is dead fire down upon the remaining troops behind Sgt. Moody. Once he reachs the field in back of you the objective will be complete. ---------------- Clear the Forest ---------------- If you try a frontal assault on the MG42 you will most likely be shread to pieces. Instead head over to the left side of the hill and go into the trees. Use the trees as cover while you sneak over to the MG42 gunner. Watch out for the Mines, they can be identified by the small sign reading "Minen". Stroll down the hill and kill the MG42 gunner. ------------------------------- Follow Sgt. Moody and the Squad ------------------------------- As the objective title says, follow Sgt. Moody down the path. Along the way you will run into Pvt. Goldmember who informs you that several MG42's and Flak 88's are holding positon ahead of you. When your ready head to the left and the squad will start moving. Follow them through the broken fence. Go up the small hill and a large field will come into view. From the center of the field a flare ignites meaning that your presence was anticipated. --------------------- Assault the MG42 Nest --------------------- Shift to the right side of the path and head into the treeline. Keep following Sgt. Moody until you come under fire from an MG42. There is a nest guarding the entrance to the courtyard where the artillary is being held. Taking out the nest is pretty, simple. Throw 3 to 4 grenades near the nest to take out its occupants than advance forward. When you reach the house kill any remaining enemies. ----------------------- Clear out the Courtyard ----------------------- __ | | | | | | |__|<- Secret MG42 Nest __ __ | |<-Farmhouse | |<-Starting Postion | | | | | | \ / | | |__| \_/ || |__| Head in the door on the side of the barn that is now open. Take out any enemies in here than head over to the opening. To the right is a large courtyard in which both a Flak '88 and a Morter are located. Use the crates and cars as cover while you take out all of the german forces in the courtyard. When the courtyard is clear one of your squad members will plant a charge on the '88. Once it explodes you will be ambushed by a secret MG42 [Refer to the map on where to shoot]. Disable the gunner and his buddie then wait for the charge on the Morter to blow. Once its disabled you will have a new objective. ---------------------- Clear of the Farmhouse ---------------------- Go over to the front door of the farmhouse where your squad is huddled. One of then will shoot in the window then break down the door. Kill the troops located on the bottom floor then head up stairs. -------------------------- Interrogate German Officer -------------------------- Follow the star on your radar. Sargent Moody and the rest of your squad are interrogating a Officer they just captured. One of the squad members who can speak german asks the Officer about the missing patrol. He replies "I dont know". After a little bit of pressure from Sgt. Moody he utters that they are in the back. ------------------------ Rescue the Allied-Patrol ------------------------ As the squad moves the Officer down the hall he gives your position away via an open window. Quickly run down the stairs and into the courtyard. You will come under fire from some germans on the other side of the courtyard. Throw a few grenades to take them out then head over to the barn where the hidden MG42 was. One of your sqaudmates will kick open the barn door revealing the patrol members. --------------------- Get to the Crossroads --------------------- Exit the barn through the side door then head left. Use an assualt rifle to take out the germans using the rocks as cover. Go collect their ammo then go right. Run across the clearing killing an german troops in your way. When you reach the top of the hill head right. Stick with the low cobblestone wall while following Sgt. Moody. When the cobblestone wall ends head right and you will reach a narrow path. Keep following your squad until you come to the crossroads. -------------------- Clear the Crossroads -------------------- As Moody suggests head to the left side of the treeline. On the left side of the street is a trench where a handfull of Nazis are hiding. Kill them all then head over to the trench for supplies. Make sure you have a Gewer for the next few mintues, because your goint to need it. Head out of the trench and advance towards the buildings to the north. On the other side of the street is a bunker. Quickly run inside and take out the enemies inside. Dont bother killing any of the troops coming from the north because they respawn until you clear the bunker. Once the bunker is cleared a soldier will report to Sgt. Moody. A convoy is heading this way and is going to "ambush" you. Moody gets royally pissed about this and decides to ambush the convoy instead. ------------- Ambush Convoy ------------- Exit the bunker and go back to the crossroads. Follow your squad from here while sticking to the right side of the road. Eventually you will reach your destination. Wait for the convoy to show up. Dont fire right away or you will be facing about 20 germans alone. Wait until Moody gives the order then fire upon them with a machine gun. Several of the trucks blow up. Some reinforcments come from the other side of the road so be prepared. ---------------- Destroy the Tank ---------------- When all of the troops are dead a tank will come rolling down the road. One of your squadmates with a Bazooka will fall fown after being shot with its machine gun. Grab the Bazooka and fire off two rounds at the Tank to destroy it. I acutally found this section of the mission very difficult because I didnt kill all of the forces in the area. --------------------------- Head back to the Crossroads --------------------------- Run back to the crossroads where you will be met by several Sherman Tanks. As he says there is not much cover once you exit the trees so stay moving. Once you reach the field the squad will come under attack from enemy gun fire. A message will be displayed telling you how to sprint [Default ALT key]. Hold down the ALT key to make your soldier sprint. Note you cannot fire a weapon while in sprint mode. Anyway head forward take a right turn once you come to a gap in the fence. Use the haystacks on the left side of the field as cover. Just keep following your squad until Moody gives the order to use the shed as cover. As before follow your squad to the shead and use the health packets if you need them. Stay here until you see a soldier approach the shed. He reports that there is a spotter somewhere in that village, and that the artillary fire will stop if he is killed. After he is finished a bullet will meet with his head and some blood will splash out [Teen Rated? Hmph]. Sgt. Moody orders you to grab the Springfield '03 and take out the spotter. So go over to the dead soldeir and grab his rifle. ---------------- Kill the Spotter ---------------- Spotter->|__|| | _____ |___| | | |_____| _ ----------|_|---------- Shed The spotter is nestled in one of the far off buildings. I realize that the map is not the best, but its better than nothing. He us between the large building where and MG42 is located and a large barn with one open window at the top. Its kind of hard to describe. If you cant find him while using these instructions just scan all the buildings visible from the right side of the shed and look for white uniforms. ---------------- Take of Flak '88 ---------------- Go back around the shed and over to the left side. On the top floor of the large building ahead of you are two MG42's. Use your Springfield '03 sniper rifle to take them out. Once they are disabled head forward into the field. Use your sniper rifle to take out any enemy forces guarding the front of the building. Stay with the fence and head to the left. Follow your squad to a gap in the barbed wire fence. Some more germans will start advancing towards you from the other side of the building. Use your sniper rifle [Man this weapon kicks ass] to take the enemy troops down in one hit apiece. Once they stop appearing head over to where the enemy forces started coming out of. Equip a SMG or Semi-Auto Rifle and look around the corner. The Flak '88 is guarded by a large group of enemies. Shoot the first round of them up then wait for more to come out of the house. When they appear shoot them all to death. Once all the enemies are make your way over to the '88. On the way a MG42 gunner will start firing at your squad from the large building on the right. Head over to the Flak '88 and press action to mount it. Aim the '88 at the MG42 nest then fire away. The corner of the building will fall of like debree in a mudslide. When the gunner is dead hop off and plant the demo charge. Now back a safe distance away them wait for the charge to blow. Once the Flak is dead head over to where Sgt. Moody is standing. You are now faced with clearing the houses one at a time. Wait for Moody to kick open the door then head inside. ---------------- Clear the Houses ---------------- Immediatly shoot the Nazi that pops out from the stairs then get behind some cover. Wait until the enemy troops outside reload then head up the stairs where you kill the soldier. Go into the room on the left side just behind the stairs. Use your sniper rifle to take out the Germans in the house across the street then kill the MG42 gunner. Run back down the stairs and exit the house. Go over to your squad on the right. Snipe the MG42 gunner on the top floor of the house ahead of you. Go through the gap in the privacy fence and take out any Germans guarding the house in front of you. Once all of them are dead head into the house where you just killed the MG42 gunner. Kill the enemy in the next room then head right. Take out the handfull of enemies in the next few rooms. Eventually you will come to a staircase with several Nazis on guard. Kill all of them in view then shoot the ones on the stairs. Equip and SMG and run into the next room. Use the SMG spray to take out most of the enemies on the left. If you dont kill them all in one clip back up and reload. Continue through the room and past the fireplace. Go into the next opening and exit the building via the door on the right. Kill the German sneaking around on the other side of the privacy fence then head into the building he came out of. Enemy soldiers will flip a table. Quickly shoot them in the head for instant kills then head into the doorway on the left. Go through the small room on the right and exit the building. Use your sniper rifle to take out the enemy on the top floor of the house on your left. Sneak over to the first story windows and you will find a group of Germans in one of the rooms. Take them out then head inside of the building. Go into the small hallway and kill the two soldiers. ---------------------- Disable the Tiger Tank ---------------------- Stroll into the room on the left. Turn 180 degrees and head into the hallway on the left. Take out the duo of Germans that appear in the hallway then head out the back door. Plant a demo charge on the back of the Tiger [I feel so sneaky]. Once the charge blows up head back into the previous room. -------------------------- Gain Control of the Church -------------------------- Once Sgt. Moody busts down the door head over to the fence on the left and use it as cover from the MG42. Dont even try to snipe the gunner or you will most likely be torn to pieces. After a few seconds of waiting the 11th Armored Division, or Tanks will shot up and blow the top off of the church. Go right and you will come under fire from a German MG32 and a handfull of support. Use your SMG to spray to take out all of the Germans quickly. Sargent Moody will bust down another door. Go through the small hallway then head left into the street. Kill the two germans on the side of the road then run over to the Church and wait for Sargent Moody. Once he busts down the door equip your sniper rifle then wait for the enemies inside of the church to pop up from the benches. Snipe them all in the head then collect the ammo they drop. A few Nazis will start firing at you from the upper balcony. Use an assault rifle to take them out then rest for a bit. You can hear the sound of the American Shermans rolling down the street. All of the sudden an explosion noise fills the air, a German counter attack. -_- ------------------------------- Eliminate the Panzershrek Units ------------------------------- Head up the stairs on the left of the entrance. Go in the doorway to the left and grab the Scoped Kar98k if you need, though I still hade 30 rounds with the Springfield. You objective is very simple, eliminate the Panzershrek units before the Shermans arive. They can be identified as normal Germans with a Panershrek rocket launcher. A total of Seven will come. Just use the debree as cover while you snipe and it will be piece of cake. ------------------------------------------------ Regroup with Capt. Foley at the Edge of the Town ------------------------------------------------ Once all the Shermans arive and the enemie naturall "Dissapears" you will be presented with this objective. Head down the ladder then down the stairs. Go outside of the church and head down the road to where the Panzershrek units were appearing. Follow the rest of your squad here until you reach the edge of town where Captain Foley is resting. -------------------------------------- Destroy the German Anti-Tanke Vehicle- -------------------------------------- Captain Foley who looks like hes under some major stress asks you to destroy the Tiger Tank guarding the Bridge. Im not going to lie, this can be a little bitch to complete. I had to retry it many times before I finally got it right. Anyway head over to the bridge and start advancing. Dont bother sniping anything because you will die quicker when standing still. Stick to the right side of the bridge until the Tank Blows a hole in the left side. Switch over and use the car as cover while you snipe the enemies up ahead. One will always respawn and man the MG42 however, so your going to have to be quick. You need to get to the trench on the other side of the bridge.Not only does it provide cover and health but the MG42's cannot fire upon you. Run over to the trench and get use the health packets. Equip your scoped Kar98k and snipe the two MG42 gunners. Once their dead take out the remaining Germans then hop out of the trench. Continue forward until you come to a truck. In the courtyard ahead are three Germans. Go in prone position and shoot their feet. Once they fall down quickly shoot them in the torso to put'em down for good. Do this for all three then head into the courtyard [There is some health in the sandbag pile to the left]. Use your sniper rifle to kill the MG42 gunner in the Barnhouse ahead of you. Get an SMG then head to the back of the Barnhouse where you will be ambushed by five Germans. Use the bullet spray to kill them all in one clip then head back around the Barn. Collect the Panzerfaust lying on the ground then head back into the barn. Fire off a rocket and the Tiger. Go back and get another Panzerfaust and fire on the Tiger again. When the Tank is destroyed head back to the courtyard for a few words from Captain Foley. Foley and First Squad ------------------------------------------------ The mission starts you off on top of a Tank being briefed by Cpt. Foley. Luckily you have two of the most effective weapons in the game, the MP44 and the Scoped Kar98k. I remember starting this mission and thinking of how kick ass these weapons were. That will not help you however, as this mission will knock the **** out of your "F9" key due to the amount of times you will most likely die. Anyway once the Tank stops hop off. Follow Cpt. Foley and the squad to the right side of the road. Approach the building with your squad and you will be attacked by German Forces within. Use your sniper rifle to take out the enemies on the left and right side of the bar. When they are dead go inside and take out the remaining German forces. Watch out for the lone soldeir that pops out of the hallway. When all of the enemies are dead head into the hallway and turn right. Use the small window ledge as cover from the Germans on the left. Use your MP44 to take out the single German on the upper ledge. Switch to Semi-Auto and aim at the windows with the ironsight. Whenever a German pops his head up to fire drop a round on his head. When all of the visible enemies are dead head outside via the backdoor on the right side of the hallway. When you hear the sound of an explosion the rest of the squad will advance into the next house. Peek inside the windows and take out any visible Germans. When the room is cleared head inside and go in the doorway on the right side of the room. Quickly take out the German hiding behind the large spindel wheel then head into the next room. Kill any enemies in here then take out the ones in the street by shooting through the large hole in the wall. When all the germans are dead head over to the upper right corner and exit the building. Walk over to the other side of the alley and go up the small staircase. Shoot the two Germans that appear in the building to the left then go inside. As Cpt. Foley orders, quickly go down the stairs. Just as the squad enters the basement rubble falls down and blocks the previous path. You are now trapped in, or are you? One of your squadmates will plant a demo charge on the patched up wall. Dont stand too close while your waiting for it to blow up. Once the charge blows advance into the room. Aim down your ironsight at the set of stairs. Fire away when the three Germans start coming down the step. When all three are dead head up the stairs. The Nazi up here will be blown up by a tank rocket before he can damage you. When your ready exit the building and go into the street on the left. ------------------------- Rendezvous at the Chateau ------------------------- Use your Scoped Kar98k to kill the german with the MP40 in the building on the left side of the street. Step out from the cover of the wall and some more enemies will come out of the large building on the left side. Snipe them all then begin advancing down the street. Take out the German soldiers that approach from the end of the street with your K98 [I love that gun :P]. Sooner or later you will be attacked by an MG42 in the top section of the Chateau. Find some cover then snipe the gunner. Continue forward will running from cover to cover. Eventually you will come under fire from enemy forces in front of the Chateau. Find cover and snipe each of the Germans one by one. Beware of the MG42 gunners though, as they can cause some serious damage. When you reach the end of the street transfer to the left side if your not already there. At the end of the street on the left side is a mounted MG32 and a support trooper. Use the Bullet Spread of the MP44 to kill them quickly then start advancing towards the Chateau. ------------- Clear Chateau ------------- No matter what you do, a lone German will always spawn inside of the Chateau and jump out of the side window. Yes hes annoying, but just keep your focus on the right side of the building and you wont have any problems. The only entrance to the Chateau is on the right side of the building. Guarding it is an MG34 and several german troops. Equip your sniper rifle and head over to the right side of the building. Quickly snipe the MG34 gunner and get behind cover. Pop out once the Germans reload and snipe a few more. Repeat this until all the enemies are dead. One German will spawn inside the Chateau and come down the steps. Quickly run up to the steps and kill him to end the limitless supply. Enter the building and use the health packets if you need to. Go in the hallway to the left then into the next room. Turn right and go inside the next room. You will be ambushed by several Germans on the steps. Use your MP44 to take them out then head up the stairs. Quickly kill the German who steps out of the batheroom. Take out the one on the right side of the balcony next. Now go down the hall to the left and into the baby room. Kill the German in here then return to the steps. On the opposite side of the area is a room with several Germans inside. Head inside and take out the enemies then go into the room on the right where you will be presented with a new objective. ----------------------- Protect the South Flank ----------------------- After a few moments one of your squadmates will report that an entire German division is being sent in to reinforce the remaining forces. Go take a glance at the field below to see what I am talking about. Do not fire on them, as it will do no good considering they will get inside the house anyway. I do advise you to take out the two MG32 gunners on the left side of the field though. Stay cool for a few minutes and repel any enemies that come inside of the Chateau. --------------------- Destroy Incoming Tank --------------------- A tank will begin to advance from the north. Jump down to the to the first floor and go to the northern part of the building. Outside is a small ledge with a Panzershrek on top of some crates. Go switch your Kar98k for it. Go back into building and wait for the tank to fire off one round. Run outside and fire a rocket at the tank then back into the building. Reload then go outside and fire off another rocket to destroy the tank. ------------------------- Defend the Northern Flank ------------------------- Do the same thing as you did with the south flank. Stay on the bottom floor and repel any Germans that attack from the northern side. I do not recommend going outside unless you want to face 20 Germans alone. After a few minutes you will be given a new objective. ----------------------------------------- Protect Sargent Moody and the Third Squad ----------------------------------------- Head back up the stairs and over to where the MG42 on the top floor was mounted. Sargent Moody is trying to get the remains of Third Squad into the Chateau but the Germans arent to happy about it. You can either use the MG42 or the Scoped Kar98k to take them out. First take out the group guarding the large building on the right side of the street. After a few minutes one of the men will yell "Sniper". At this time Sargent Moody will start advancing towards the Chateau. Take out the Sniper in the building at the end of the street then concentrate on the enemy ground forces. Once Moody and the squad make it back you will complete the objective. --------------------- Destroy Incoming Tank --------------------- Head back to the northern flank of the Chateau and grab some more Panzershrek ammo. Now go back over to the southern flank and look out the windows to the left. A Tiger Tank will begin to advance past the houses where the two MG34 gunners were. Fire off a rocket at the Tiger then back up and reload. Fire an addition rocket to finish off the tank for good. -------------- Defend Chateau -------------- Go collect some more Panzershrek ammo then head back over to the southern flank. Repel the waves of Germans until another tank starts advancing from the west. --------------------- Destroy Incoming Tank --------------------- Since you already have some Panzershrek ammo fire off a rocket at the advancing tank then back up. Once you are reloaded head back into the open and fire off another rocket to finish of the tank. Note: Several health packets are spread through out the Chateau if you need them. -------------- Defend Chateau -------------- Grab some more Panzershrek ammo then run over to the bottom floor of the southern flank. Repel the large waves of Germans [They are getting bigger] until you hear a squadmate yell "Halftrack in the South". Use your Panzershrek to blow up the Half-Track before it can unload the troops inside. Take out the remaining troops to trigger another tank. --------------------- Destroy Incoming Tank --------------------- Grab some more Panzershrek ammo and fire off a rocket at the incoming tank. Back up into the building while Riley reloads. Once your ready peek outside again and Fire off another rocket to disabel the tank for good. -------------- Defend Chateau -------------- Go over to the northern side and take some more Panzershrek ammo. Go back inside the building and shoot any German that enters. Eventually a Half-Track will come from the north. Shoot a rocket or two to destroy it. After a few more minutes a Panzer will advance from the west side. Fire off two rockets at the Panzer to put it down for good. When you hear the music kick in that means your almost done with the level. Several tanks will begin advancing from all directions, dont bother trying to destroy them. Stay alive for a few seconds and the sound of Aircraft will fill the air. P47's will come in and bomb the remaining Tanks. When its over you will be presented with a new objective. ----------------------- Regroup with Cpt. Foley ----------------------- Go over to where the Panzershrek was originally found. Here Captain Foley will give a small speech. Congratulations! This serves as your "primary" objective while other minor ones are presented to you. It will only be completed once you finish the level. ------------------------------------------- Get to the Dorsal Turret behind the Cockpit ------------------------------------------- Go past the two .50 cal machine gunners and into the cockpit area. The dorsal turret is presented as a narrow ladder upon a pole. Press the action key to climb up into it. The planes arounf you will come under fire from Flak '88 guns. After a few minutes of constant explosions fighters will begin to attak you. The only advice I can give you is to shoot slightly in front of the enemy planes and dont shoot your own plane. The amount of planes you destroy is displayed as a cross in the bottom right side of the screen. Shoot down as many planes as you can. After a few minutes another objective will surface. ---------------------------- Man the Tail Gunner Position ---------------------------- Press the action key to dismount the turret. Head past the .50 cal gunners and into the back part of the plane. Press the action button once again to mount the turret. The Tail gun is essentially the same as the Dorsal Turret, except for one thing. With the Dorsal turret you could turn in a 360 degree rotation. With the tail gun you can only turn 90 degrees in each direction. Each enemy plane will take 5-6 hits to explode, so keep that in mind. The gunners on other planes shoot down planes as well. ---------------------------------------- Turn off the Fuel to the Number 1 Engine ---------------------------------------- Quickly press the action button to dismount then start making your way to the cockpit. Stop when you reach the small hallway right before the cockpit. On the right side of the hallway is a fuel crank. Approach it and a small explosion will rock the plane. Quickly turn the valve to shut off the fuel leak then head back to the Tail Gun. Keep firing at the incoming planes. ------------------------------- Get back to the Dorsal Position ------------------------------- Fire at the incoming planes. After a few minutes of shooting you will be asked to mount the tail gun again. ---------------------- Return to the Tail Gun ---------------------- Hop off of the Turret by pressing the action key. Run back through the plane and mount the rear gun. Fire at the incoming planes for a few minutes. ------------------------------------- Turn of the fuel for the No. 3 Engine ------------------------------------- Note: The objectives in the mission will sometimes switch around. Sometimes you may have to turn off the No.2 engine instead. Also sometimes the order in which the objectives appear is defferent. Anyway, head to the hallway in which you shut off the No. 1 engine and look to the left. No explosion this time, just a glowing valve. Turn it to shut off the fuel to the Engine. Now head back to the dorsal gun and destroy incoming planes. ----------------------------------------- Use the manual crank to open the Bomb-Bay ----------------------------------------- Hop off the dorsal turret and turn around 180 degrees. On the right side of the boiler type room is a crank. Press the action button once to start the cranking. After about 30 seconds the bay door will open and the bombs will fall out in a strait line. ---------------------------------- Extinguish fire in Aft Compartment ---------------------------------- This objective is impossible to complete, but head to the back of the plane anyway. Anyway three German troops are scanning the area for English soldiers [I wonder how they dont see a large parachute stuck in a tree]. After a few seconds of searching your English buddies will attack them from behind. After a brief chat you will fall down. --------------------- Assist the Resistance --------------------- When you drop a Webley will be added to your arsenal. Collect the MP40 that one of the Nazi's dropped then grab the Kar98k. When your ready head left down the road. Join up with the rest of your squad and keep following them. Eventually you will come to a small hill. When you reach the top a German Patrol truck can be seen driving in the distance. Use on the rocks as cover then wait for one of your squadmates to fire the first shot. Equip your Kar98k and aim down the ironsight. Take out the group of Germans on the road then kill the handfull on the right side. When they are all dead go over and collect their ammo then go over to the left side of the road. Major Ingram decides that the road is too dangerous and the squad must stray off. ------------------------ Infiltrate the Farmhouse ------------------------ Follow your squad through the narrow path and you will reach a large farm. On the other side of the farm is a large farmhouse. Maj. Ingram decides that we, or rather "you" need to clear it out. Approach the building and fire off a few rounds at the enemy soldiers. After a few seconds Major Ingram tells you to disable the MG34 gunners on the top floor of the barn. ------------------------------------------ Take out the MG34 Gunners on the 2nd Floor ------------------------------------------ Head over to the barn and take out any Germans you see. Depending on which entrance you go in you may have to face more enemies. Once you get inside the house head over to the living room. After the bottom floor is cleared a truck will pull up with additional German reinforcments Go to the opposite side of the house and wait for them to come in. Use the lean button [Default E] to look inside of the house. Take out any Germans that enter. Once the room is cleared head inside. Quickly kill the german on the staircase to the left before he can take any damage off you. Head up the stairs and shoot the enemy using the bed as cover. Go across the room and enter the next one. Kill the German on the right who fires at you then take out the MG34 gunner on the right side of the room. Take out the group of Germans behind the table then kill the addition MG34 gunner. ----------------------------- Clear the Enemies by the Barn ----------------------------- Once your squad opens fire on the enemy troops a mortar shell will blast a hole in the corner of the MG34 gunners room. Go into the prone positiona and equip your Kar98k rifle. Use it to snipe the German troops in front of the large barn. --------------------------- Make your way to the bridge --------------------------- Once the Germans near the barn are dead regroup with your squad. Start heading down the road and you will be ambushed by a truck withe enemy soldiers. Blow up the truck or kill the Germans then continue down the road with your squad. After a little bit of running your squad will turn right and begin to charge up a hill. About halfway the Germans will ambush you. Find some rocks as cover then use your Kar98k to snipe the enemy forces. When all of the Germans are dead head up the ridge. When you reach the top you will fired upon by two soldiers huddled in back of soem sandbags. Use your K98 to snipe the two enemies then walk into the small rift. Use one of the many boulders as cover against the MG42 nest on the left side of the field. Use your K98 [As I've said before, I love this gun] to take out '42 gunner. Snipe his support infantry as well. After all the enemies are wasted follow your squad over to the train tracks and stop at the entrance to the tunnel. After Maj. Ingram's short speach begin moving down the tunnel. When you reach the end your squad will come under attack from several German soldiers in the area. First take out the handfull of German troops on the right side of the area next to the large tower. Once they are dead head over to the left side and equip an SMG. Take out the enemies huddled around the stacked crates then head over to where their corpses are lying. Keep advancing towards the large tower taking out any enemies that get in your way. Dont forget about the tower guard, he can be a little ***** if your low on health. Once all the Germans in the area are dead head towards the bridge. To the right of the bridge is a small bunker. Throw 2-3 grenades inside to take out the enemies quickly or just storm the place with an SMG. Go inside and grab the health then report back to Major Ingram. "Van Dyke" has died and you need to collect his charges. Head over to the bunker and look for a body with a bright blue shirt. Take the explosives and head over to the bridge. -------------------------- Plant Explosives on Bridge -------------------------- ||D| |D|| Lowest Bridge Level |_________| D= Demo Charge Indicator ^ Ladder Make your way down the bridge. About halfway down on the left side you will come to a small hatch. Climb down and go through the narrow opening to the right. Turn left and head down another hatch. On the left and right side of the two archs are two glowing demo charge indicators. Plant the two charges then head back up to the top lower level. Instead of going right this time go left. Head down another hatch to the lowest level. Quickly plant the charges on the left arch then go through the narrow passage. Take out the German on the right then plant the last charge on the right arch. Now head back up to the top of the bridge and regroup with your squad. ------------------------------------ Rendezvous with Ingram and detonator ------------------------------------ Go down the bridge and follow your squad. Go up the hill to the right and then regroup with the rest of your squad. The train will be passing through any second, and since you did the hardwork you also get to blow up the train. --------------------------------- Blow Up Bridge When Train Arrives --------------------------------- Only blow up the bridge when Major Ingram tells you to. If you wait more than a few seconds you will get a game over. Also, the game will not let you blow up the UNTIL Major Ingram gives you the go ahead. Anyway, after you press the F key sit back and watch the fireworks. -------------------- Get to Truck in Barn -------------------- Start heading back to the tunnel. Just before you get there the squad will be ambushed by some Germans. Use an SMG to take them out quickly. As Major Ingram says, you need to go around the tunnel. Follow your squad down the path on the left. About halfway down the path you will be ambushed from behind by four enemies. Use your Kar98k to take them out then follow your squad. Eventually you will reach a small house where once again you will be ambushed from behind, but this time by a larger group. Equip an SMG and use the bullet spread effect to take out multiple Germans quickly. Once they are all dead continue through the woods until you reach the farmhouse. Begin to make your way over to the farmhouse. On the way you will run into some more Germans [Dont these guys ever quit?]. Take them all out then go over to the Barn and hop into the Truck. ------ Escape ------ Once all of the squad members are in the truck go over to the back end and press F to hop in. When you reach the edge of the farm two trucks will start chasing after you. One of them will hit something and blow both of them up. Now you can just sit back and wait for the level to finish. When the boat lands one of your squadmates will go ahead and take out the lone sentry on patrol. Do not make any noise or stand up or risk being spotted and failing the mission. ------------------------------------------ Eliminate the guards inside the dock house ------------------------------------------ Once you are given the order head up to the guardhouse with your newly acquired Sten Mark II Silenced. Enter the guard house and head into the room in the back. Quickly take out the two german soldiers that were listening to some rather crappt music. Well, you could snoop around for a bit considering the fact that the two Germans are too preoccupied with their "music" to really notice. Dont forget to kill them and grab a Kar98k. Why are the Germans in yellow uniforms? ----------------------------------------------------- Storm the bunker and eliminate the rest of the guards ----------------------------------------------------- Farther down the coast is a small bunker. Follow Maj. Ingram and the rest of the squad over to the bunker. Get behind some cover and slowly begin advancing towards the bunker. Once you are spotted the Germans will begin firing at you. Use your newly acquired Kar98k to make quick work of the two enemies outside of the bunker. Once they are dead walk over to the bunker and kill the MG34 gunner inside. Collect the supplies inside then regroup with your squad. ---------------------------- Get in the back of the truck ---------------------------- Follow the rest of your squad to an old beat-up truck. Use the action key [F] to hop inside the bed. The squad member driving will drive up a small hill where the truck stalls. Get out by pressing the action button and follow your squad. --------------------------------------------------------------- Engage enemy at lighthouse and get inside to plant your charges --------------------------------------------------------------- Follow your squad to the top of the hill where you will be spotted by the German forces guarding the lighthuse. Use your ever so trusty Kar98k to cap each one of the germans one by one. When they are all dead go inside the lighthouse. Dont forget about the hard to see Germans on the top balcony. ---------------------------------- Pant the Charges in the lighthouse ---------------------------------- Barge into the lighthouse and equip your weapon in the SMG catagory, which should still be your Sten Mark II. When you walk in two Germans hiding behind some shelves and boxes will immediatly notice you. Use your Sten to take care of them both quickly and quietly. Head on up the stairs and shoot the lone German walking around the rafters. After a few seconds another German will come down from the upper level to investigate. Take him out then climb up the two additional ladders. When you reach the near top of the third ladder position yourself so that you can just barely see atop the next floor. Wait until the enemy on the floor above you comes into your vision then fire away. Pull yourself up to the next floor from the ladder. The first explosive charge indicator is located on the center piller. Press the action key [Default F] to place the charge. Now head back down the three sets of ladders to the second floor. Plant the additional explosives next to the indicator. Now head back down to the first floor and plant the explosives there. Exit the building and you will be presented with a new objective. ------------------------------------------------ Regroup with Major Ingram outside the lighthouse ------------------------------------------------ Exit the lighthouse and head over Major Ingram who is standing in a small plain. He tells you to go over to the top of the path. --------------------------- Head to the top of the path --------------------------- Run over to the top of the path. If for some reason you cant find it use the star on your radar to guide you. Once you reach the top of the path turn around to witness the destruction of the lighthouse. ------------------------------------------------------------ Do not engage the enemy until the reinforcements have passed ------------------------------------------------------------ You heard the man, or Gent. Use the wall as cover and stay out of the enemies sight. Dont make any noise or its game over for you, at least health wise. Once the Germans have passed you will be presented with a new objective. -------------------- Get up onto the wall -------------------- Once all the enemy reinforcements have passed by follow your squad over to the top section of the wall. Once you reach the top Major Ingram will seperate the squad so that you can complete two objectives. Your "mini" squad is faced with finding the radio room. The other partial squad is going to take care of the enemies guarding the courtyard. -------------------- Find the radio rooms -------------------- Go up the ramp ahead of you and enter the building. Quickly take out the two germans in here before they can take too much damage off of you. Kill the MG34 gunner before he can annihlate the other half of your squad. Once all of the Germans are dead head through the next walkway. Right when you start to make your way across one German will ambush you. Quickly take him out to have a new objective displayed. ------------------------------------ Disable the communications equipment ------------------------------------ Take out the German trooper on the left then head over to the right side of the hallway. Move down the walkway and take out the lone enemie using the pillars as cover. Look around the hallway to find the second set of radio equipment. Shoot it a couple times to destroy it. Go through the next doorway and into the next room. Two more Germans will be here to greet you. Use your Sten Mark II to take them out. The second set of communications equipment is here. Drop a few rounds on the equipment to destroy it. ---------------------------------- Find a way down into the courtyard ---------------------------------- Go back through the room you just cleared and look for a stairwell on the right side. Make your way down it and you will reach the bottom entrance where a door is preventing you from continuing. All of the sudden the door will bust down due to the abudance of German boots appleing pressure on it. A handfull of enemies will fire upon you. Return fire to them with your Sten to get the job done. ---------------------------------- Regroup with Manjor Ingram's squad ---------------------------------- Stroll into the courtyard while maintaning a low profile to prevent additional firefights. Keep following the large stone walkway you will meet up with Major Ingram's squad. Some small oppositon will fire upon the rest of the squad. Help Major Ingram out. Make sure you take out the camoflouged MG34 gunner hiding in the shrubry next to the walkway. ----------------------------- Secure the underground garage ----------------------------- Follow Major Ingram and the rest of your squad through the now broken down door. Once you enter garage immediatly you will come under fire from what seems like a dozen enemies. Quickly find some cover and begin shooting at whatever is in your vision. Use your Kar98k or Sten for quick kills as they exceed in close range, and in K98's case long range. Once all of the garage floor Germans are dead take out the remaining ones on upper balcony. ------------------ Find the documents ------------------ Go down to the garage floor and head through the doorway on the left. Attack the single German soldier standing still then continue down the hallway. Go around the corner and quickly kill the two Germans standing in the short hallway. Go ober to the doorway and peek out to the left/right. Use your Kar98k to snipe the two Germans at the end of the hallway or use the SMG bullet spread to take them out quickly. Head down the hallway and take a left when you reach the dead end [Well its not really a dead end, but you get the idea]. Use your SMG preferably the Sten if you still have it to take them out quickly. Man that weapon kicks so much ass. Keep following the narrow passage and take out the Germans that ambush you. When you reach the end of the catwalk several German soldiers will come out of the doorway on the left. Crouch down and aim the iron sight of your Kar98k at the doorway. When the enemy soldiers begin rushing through the doorway fire away. One by one pick them off until none are left. Continue through the doorway from wence they came. Follow the lond hallway into the next room. In the next room is a single German soldier guarding the documents. Chuck a grenade inside to make quick work of him then head inside. Grab the documents and supplies. ------------------- Get on the elevator ------------------- Go back outside of the door and head onto the catwalk. Go back to the junction and go left into the elevator. Wait a few seconds for your slow squad to regroup with you inside the elevator. Flip the switch by pressing F to continue. ------------------------------- Find the cliff gun emplacements ------------------------------- Use your Sten if you still have it to take out the two germans ahead in between the pillars. COntinue forward and go head to the left side. Quickly take out the German on the MG34 before he can take any damage off of you. Go over to where the MG34 gunner was and turn left. One lone German will begin firing at you from a large column. Take him out then continue into into the next area where you will be ambushed by about 6-8 Germans. Use an SMG bullet spread effect to take the down quickly. Continue down the hallway where you will be presented with a new objective. ----------------------------- Plant the charges on the guns ----------------------------- Head into the next room and take out the German who is mounting the MG34 machine gun on the left side of the artiller cannon. Sometimes another enemy will attack you from the right. In that case just take him out with your Sten. Plant the explosives and go back into the hallway. When you hear the large explosion run back into the cannon room and use the catwalk on the right to take you to another gun. Take out two enemies in here with a grenade or SMG then head in and plant the demolition charges. Run back out before it explodes then go back to where you found the first gun. Now go on the left catwalk, or in this case the one ahead of you. Toss a grenade in the room or take out the enemies in a firefight. Run inside the room and plant the demo charge on the final gun. Take him out to complete the objective. ---------------------------------------- Find the Munitions Magazine for the guns ---------------------------------------- Go back down the hallway and up the stairs. A door on the left will open up revealing the path to the munition storage. Pull out your SMG then continue inside. Quickly kill the two Germans before they can harm you then go down the stairs. Go through the door and take out the advancing Jerry. Two additional Germans will run in from the next room. Take them out then continue. ---------------------------------- Plant the charges in the magazines ---------------------------------- Advance down the hallway and you will reach the Munition storage room. Thro three to four grenades inside of the room to take them all out. If any of them survived go inside and kill 'em. Pick up the various types of supplies then plant the three charges on the Munition Magazines. Now head back out of the room and wait for the large explosion. ------------------------ Get back to the elevator ------------------------ On the way back to the elevator you may encounter a few enemies. If you do just fire away with your Sten for some quick kills. Head back through the catwalk and into the elevator. Wait for your squad to regroup with you then flip the switch to head back up. --------------------- Regroup in the garage --------------------- A handfull of German Soldiers will attack you on your way to the garage. Just use your SMG to take them out quickly then continue to the garage. When I reached the garage I had about 15% total health, so this little fight was a ***** for me to complete. Stay behind cover and use your Kar98k to take out the remaining enemies. -------------------------- Head out to the Courtyard -------------------------- Once your squad is regrouped a truck will enter the garage. Quickly take out the group of Germans that unload then head up the ramp. When you reach the top of the ramp your squad will come under fire from the left. Use your Sten to take out the two Germans firing at you. Your squad will now come up the ramp. ----------------------------------- Get in the sidecar of the motorbike ----------------------------------- Major Ingram will pull up a motorcycle with a sideseat for you to ride in. Hop inside by pressing the action key then sit back and enjoy the trip. Near the end your beloved squad will be destroyed when there vehicle is destroyed by a panzerfaust. You should have an MP44 which will prove queit usefull against enemy troops riding in cars. In addition you should have a Webly MK2 Pistol and ten grenades. Relax for a bit and enjoy the ride. Eventually a German truck will block your path and the soldiers in the bed will fire at you. Use your MP44 to take them out quickly. Major Ingram will take a sharp turn and follow another road. An additional truck will come up behind you. Note: Always try to take out the driver, as it will immediatly disable the truck and you will save both time and ammo. Shoot at the driver or kill all of the soldiers in the bed then relax for a second. Eventually the truck will swerve of the road and the soldiers will fly off the truck. From here Ingram will continue down the road and into the small town. Quickly take out the MG42 gunner then face forward. Ingram will turn the motorcycle into a back alleyway where you will meet up with another truck. Aim for the drivers head to disable it or take out the soldiers in the back. Either way the truck will stop after a short pursuit. Ingram will once again turn into an alleyway where a motorcycel much like the one your in will chase you. Take out the passenger quickly before he can cause you any damage [There are two 50 point health packs on the motorcycle if you need them]. Once he is dead kill the driver then wait for a second. Major Ingram will take a sharp turn then head across a few roads guarded by a german patrol. Dont waste your bullets since they probably wont even hit you. You will be followed again, this time by a car. Shoot the driver or take out the enemies in the back then sit tight. After a few seconds a truck will ambush you from the left. Take out the driver or shoot the inhabitants of the bed. If you leave the driver alive he will crash into some chickens and blood will spurt everywhere. After Ingram pulls out of the Alley another car will attack you on the right. Wait until you pass the market place then fire away at the car. After you turn the corner the sound of tracks can be heard. Bloody Hell! A Tank! The tank will knock your bike over spilling you and Ingram onto the pavement. Follow Ingram and get behind cover. The bike is ruined, do you will have to continue on foot. Follow Major Ingram into the building behind you and use the health packets if you need them. ------------- Follow Ingram ------------- Head up the stairs and Major Ingram will bust open the window. Jump out before the Germans come up the stairs then wait for Ingram. Once he is level with you head down the alleyway and you will be attacked by Germans on the right. Cook a grenade [Four Pulses mean an instant explosion when landing]. Throw the 'nade up onto the balcony to take out the German on the MG34. Whip out your MP44 and pick off a few of the Germans. Advance forward using the fountains on the left as cover. Throw a grenade at the two Nazi's ahead of you using the short wall as cover to take them out instantly. Sometimes three Germans will come out of the busted window and ambush you from behind. Use the bullet spread of your MP44 to take them out quickly. Finish off the remaining forces follow Major Ingram into the wide passage on the right side of the area. Turn left then take out the two Germans that fire at you from the other side of the alley. Now continue forward and a German truck will pull up with additional enemies. Use your MP44 to take out the group then follow Major Ingram through the hole in the fence to the right. Go across the yard and around the corner. At this point you should have about ten or so Germans following you with the addition of a tank. Add this to the fact you will have to run naked down three hills in plain sight of the enemy. Anyway follow Major Ingram down the hill and Ignore the enemy fire coming from behind you. Go down the first hill and use the earth as a barrier while you quicksave. Now head down the third and second hill then stop when you reach the shorline. Quicksave then follow Major Ingram up the small hill. Take out the two Germans that fire at you from the bottom of the hill then carry on. Eventually a Bunker will come into view along with several Germans guarding it. Use the rocks and earth as cover while you advance towards the bunker. --------------------------------- Board the Captured German PT Boat --------------------------------- Take out the single German soldeir behind the sandbags on the right side of the peninsula. Throw a couple grenades in the general direction of the bunker to clear out the rest of the enemies. Now head over to the Bunker and mop up any still living. Step inside and take out the German in the doorway then kill the one shooting at your from the peekhole. Head into the hallway on the right then take out any enemies that attack you. Go down the hall to the left and take out the lone enemy on the MG42. Now headright and go dwont he steps. Help Major Ingram take out the German guarding the exit to the Bunker. Approach the docks and the boat ont he left side will miracuralsy blow up. Go down the dock and hop into the boat. ------------------------------- Destroy all the German PT Boats ------------------------------- The Gun your mounting will shoot about one shot per second, similar to the pulse rifle on a warthog [Halo 2]. Face forward and relax for a few seconds. As you approach the cliffs two PT boats will start their advance on you. Since the gun your using has infinate range and perfect accuracy fire as soon as they are visable. It will take around 15 strait shots to put one down. Only concentrate on one leaving the other one alone. Once they are destroyed just sit tight for a bit. Eventually two more PT boats will ambush you. Concentrate on one and fire a steady stream of shots. Once the first boat is destroyed take out the other ones. Right after that Major Ingram will yell "Brace yourself their trying to sorround us!". This part is kinda hard. Take out the one in back first then quickly switch over to the one in front. As Major Ingram approachs the Cliffs you will be ambushed by the final two PT boats. Repeat the same stradegy as before and you should have no problems. When its all over Major Ingram will point your directon towards the coast where the charges will blow inside the fort. Sit back and watch the explosions, you've beat the British portion of the campaign. Dont fire off your weapon as you have only five rounds. And Yes, the Russian battles are on a much larger scale than the Americans or British. As you pull away the train behind you will be destroyed by planes from above. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Listen to your "comrades" conversation. Several times during the trip you will be told to put your head down. Do as you are told and crouch down to prevent your face meeting up with a bullet. When you reach the destination hop out be pressing the action key [Default F]. ------------------------ Get Ammo from the Bunker ------------------------ Hop out of the Truck and turn around 180 degrees. Go into the narrow trench and take a right. Run into the bunker and go over to the back of the room. An officer is handing out Ammunition. Wait your turn and you will be handed 60 rounds in one clip. [Hmmm]. Now head outside and turn left near the officer. Follow the other soldiers to a junction in the trenchs. You are instructed to get down, but you can look at the field if you want [Certainly shows off what the aged Quake 3 engine can do]. ------------------ Defend Right Flank ------------------ After a few seconds of constant artillary fire the Germans will start to attack on foot. Follow your Officers instructions and until they are in view. The Mosan Naguate has an excellent ironsight, much like a sniper rifle only smaller. Use the sight to take out as many enemies possible. Man this part kick so much ass! Anyway, keep firing at them with your Mosin. Eventually the right part of the flank will start to come under attack from several groups of enemies. Head over to this area and use your Torakov to take them out quickly. Aim for the torso to gun them down within a few hits. Once a few minutes have passed a heavily damaged Sturka [German Fighter] will begin to circle the battlefield. After a full rotation it will crash on the far left part of the flank [I happened to be standing in that position]. After this you will be presented with a new objective. ------------------------ Flush out the left Flank ------------------------ Follow Antonov and the rest of the squad to the right side of the trench. Go around the corner and you will be ambushed by a few Germans. Use your Torakav pistol to take them out then head inside. Kill the three enemies here then grab the Tarokev semi-automatic rifle [Which will from here on be refered to as the SVT] lying in the crates. Head outside the bunker and go through the trench on the right. Quickly take out the group of enemies in the trenches. Use your incredably usefull SVT to take out the Germans that begin to storm out of the other side of the trenches. You can also get a little "creative" with the flamethrower. ------------------- Follow Sgt. Antonov ------------------- Follow your squad and Antonov back to the bunker where you can take a short rest. After a few seconds continue outside of the Bunker and go over to Sgt. Antonov. He wants you to destroy the three "elefant" tanks firing down on the trenchs by plating demo charges on each of them. ----------------------- Blow up 3 Elefant Tanks ----------------------- Head into the Trench to your left and pass under the destroyed Stuka. Go through the trenchs and emerge onto the battlefield. Quickly take out the two enemies that come come from around the ruined tank on the right. Sneak over to the ruined tank and take out the lone German on the other side. Turn completely around and head towards the large German tank. Sneak to the side and peek out at the back of the tank. Kill the three enemies here then go plant the demo charge on the front of the tank. Now head across the field towards the other tank. Kill the single German on the other side then wait for a few more to attack. Take them out then plant the demo charge on the front of the tank. Now head around the destroyed Panzer and take out the two Germans. One more tank left. Start advancing towards the final Tank and a single enemy will attack you from the right. Gun him down then continue advancing. Three German soldiers will fire at you from the left side of the tank. Crouch down and pick them off one-by-one with your Mosin Nagant. Go up and plant the charge on the front of the tank then get a safe distance away. Once it blows up you will be presented with a new objective. ---------------------------- Meet up with Sargent Antonov ---------------------------- Go down the hill and follow your squad down the road. When you reach Antonov he will inform you that the Germans are trying to flank them by attacking the village. ------------------- Head to the Village ------------------- Follow your squad down the road to the right. After a few seconds you will be attacked by three Germans. Cook a grenade [Remember, 4 pulses means instant explosion on landing] and chuck it at them. When they are dead continue down the road. After the right turn you will be ambushed by a group of Germans on either sides of the hill. Use the rocks as cover as you pick them off one-by-one. At some point a German wielding a flame thrower will attack from the right side of the hill. Take him out quickly then continue down the road with the rest of your squad. Keep going down the road until you come to another group of Germans. Use the ruined tank for cover and pick them off. Once they are all dead continue to follow your squad and Sgt. Antonov to the house at the end of the road. Here you will meet Sargent Frovlov, who gives you orders to clear the village and hold the bridge. ------------------------------------ Eliminate all enemies in the Village ------------------------------------ Head outside via the door to the left of Frovlov. A German will open up the backdoor in the house to your left. Immediatly kill him then wait for a few more to flood out the door. Kill them as well then take care of the single enemy firing at you from behind the fence to the right. Now go through the building to your left and you will come out on the other side of the fence. Aim down your iron sight [Default Right Mouse Button] and take out the group of Germans huddled on the other side of the yard. Slowly advance towards there bodies will facing to the left. A large group of Germans will come out of a diagnally facing house to the left. Throw a grenade inside the house to take most of them out then head inside. Use an SMG to mop up the remaining Germans then take position behind a window. -------------- Defend Village -------------- For two minutes you must defend the village, or more appropriatly the house against the Germans. Instead of shooting out the window, keep your crosshairs on the door. Every fifteen seconds or so one or two Germans will barge inside the house and shoot at you. Since they are right in your crosshairs fire away with your SVT. Keep your head away from the window because a Tank is passing by the house the entire time. You can go up the stairs and man the mobile machine gun if you want, but its not really worth the effort. When the timer reachs zero head outside to watch the Russian tanks kick the Germans asses. ------------------------- Meet up with the Commisar ------------------------- Go meet up with the Sgt. for a short speech. Antonov is over begint to follow your squad down the road to the right. Keep following the Tanks until you teach the railroad tracks [Not the station, but the tracks]. From here the Tanks will take a left turn and begin advancing slowly towards the town. Get behind one of them and advance with them towards the station. As you approach the entrance you will come under fire from three enemies from the right using the sandbags as cover. Throw a grenade at the sandbags to take out the three Germans. --------------------------------------- Clear the Rail Station of German Forces --------------------------------------- At this point the Tank on the left flank will blow up. Head over to the left side of the trainyard but watch out for the Germans in between the Trains. On the far left side you will find your squad huddled together firing in an orderly fashion at the German forces near a warehouse. Cook a grenade by holding down the left and right mouse buttons. When the crosshair pulses four times release. Throw the grenade at the group of Germans using the boxes as cover. The Russian grenade has a large effect radious and will most likely destroy the entire group. Start advancing and you will come under fire from additional Germans inside the warehouse. Once again, grenades are your best friend. Chuck a few of them inside of the warehouse to clear out the Germans. Continue forward and the squad will come under fire from a sniper inside of a tower on the right side of the railyard. Equip your Mosin Nagant and aim down the iron sight. Send a bullet into the snipers head then get behind the sandbags in front of the warehouse. Aim down the ironsight and scan the trainstation on the other side of the yard for additional enemies. Use the superb accuracy and damage of the Mosin Nagant to take out the remaining enemy forces. Now head across the tracks and over to the station. Go up the service ramp on the left. Go across the front of the house and enter the building through the hole blown into the corner by the tank. Take out the German in front of you then head over to the doorway. Pick of the German firing uncontrollably at you from behind the small box then do the same with the other Germans. A few more will come down the stairs to reinforce the positon. Take them out then head inside the room. Head up the stairs and go to the right. Take out the two Germans in the small room to the left. Now head to the exact opposite side of the station and take out the lone German in the destroyed room. Run down the stairs and take out the two Germans that bust down the side door. ----------------------------------- Clear the Town of German Resistance ----------------------------------- Head outside of the Rail Station via the backdoor near the staircase. Head over to where your squad is huddled and go into the prone position to prevent from taking damage. Wait for a few seconds for the intense firing to clear. Break out in a sprint and run past the stream over to the small building on the left. Go around the building and you will meet up with three Germans. Cook a grenade then chuck it off in their direction to take care of them. Now regroup with your squad on the other side of the field. You will come under fire from a group of Germans to the north west. Use your Mosin Nagant to pick them off one by one. Now follow your squad into the street on the other side of the buildings. Use your Mosin Nagant to snipe the gunners near the road block. Use the various boxes and carts as cover. Slowly advance up the street and kill all Germans in view. ---------------------------- Enter the School to the West ---------------------------- ___________ | _ | | |_____ ___| |___ __| | | () - Hole | | |__ __|_ |__()____| | | | | | | |______ | |______| |_ | | | | | _______| START When the street is clear you will come under MG42 fire from a gunner in the school house at the end of the road. Sgt. Antonov orders you to disable it. Run over to the right side of the street and find your way through the buildings. When you emerge on the other side head over to the school where Pvt. Tarkovsky is waiting. As you approach he will bust open the door and you will come under fire from Machine guns inside the building. Chuck a grenade or two inside the room then head in and clear up the remaining enemies. Go inside the hallway on the left side of the room and two Germans will attack your from the room on the left. Whip out an MP40 and take them out quickly using the bullet spread technique then go inside of the room. A few additional enemies will appear through the large hole in the wall. Kill them all then continue forward. Head inside the small hallway ahead of you then turn left. Go into the doorway on the right where you will be fired upon by a group of Germans. Use the SMG spread to take them out quickly then stroll into the room from which they emerged. Go through this room and up the stairs to the right. Head down the hallway and turn left. An enemy will run down the hallway and quickly sprint into a room at the end of the hallway. Go into the room from which the German fled and quickly take him out. Go over to the right side of the room and pass through the rubble to reach the MG42 gunner. Kill him then jump out of the window. ---------------------- Regroup with the Squad ---------------------- Hop out of the window and head over to the barricade. Here you will recieve new orders from Sgt. Antonov. The squad cannot get through, so you must take Boris and plant demo charges on the Panzer at the end of the street. ------------------------------------------------------ Protect Semashko while he plants charges on the Panzer ------------------------------------------------------ Follow Boris through the hole in the fence then turn right. Take out the three German troops that pop out of the building on the left then continue down the yard. Eventually Boris will turn into one of the buildings on the left. Follow him through it and you will come out near the Panzer tank. Use your Mosin Nagant to take out the Germans sorrounding the tank. Now cover Semashko while he plants the charges on the tank. ---------------------- Regroup with the Squad ---------------------- Head back through the building you just passed through and make your way down the yard. Half way you will meet up with your squad. ------------------------------------- Eliminate the Machine Gun emplacement ------------------------------------- Sgt. Antonov needs you to take out the Machine Gun emplacement at the end of the street, and once again Boris will be helping you. Venture out into the street and use the old truck as cover. Break out into a sprint and head across the street and into the opened building on the left. Go to the back of the structure and hop over the low wall. Go through the yard and enter the last house through the side door. Take out the single German inside then head up the stairs. Use the SMG spray of the MP40 take out the three Germans in the room then head through the small doorway on the right. Shoot the gunner in here to complete the objective. ---------------------------------------------------- Protect Semashko while he plants charges on the tank ---------------------------------------------------- Boris will jump down into the street and plant the charges on the tank. Mount the MG42 and fire away at the group of Germans advancing towards the Tank. Once the tank is blown up the objective will be complete. ---------------------------- Clear the way to the Factory ---------------------------- Jump down into the street and follow your squad over to the barricade. Go over to the wall on the right and peek out to the left. Use your SMG, or MP40 to take out the six Germans using the sandbags as cover. When they are all dead your objectives will be updated. ------------------- Assault the Factory ------------------- Follow your squad down the road to the left a short ways. Go through the hole in the large stone wall then head over to the side of the tank. Peek out to the left and pick off the three Germans firing at your squad from behind a barbed wire fence. -------------------------------------- Enter the factory through the Basement -------------------------------------- Crouch down the head towards the basement [The big hole in the ground leading into the structure]. Four enemies will come out and take up positions behind the boxes. Use your Mosin Nagant to pick each one of one-by-one or just chuck a grenade down there. When the coast is clear head inside the factory. Quickly head up the stairs to the right. ---------------------------- Get to the topfloor catwalks ---------------------------- Head up the staircase and gun down the two Germans that attack you from the door. Go through the doors and use the shelves as cover while you battle it out with the six Germans inside the room. You can skip this battle however by immediatly going into the doorway on the left. Either way you will have to enter the doorway on the left side of the room. From here head up the two sets of stairs then go over to the doorway to the left. Go through the various rooms until you reach the staircase with three Germans on guard. Take them out then head up the stairs. Go through the shorthallway. Note: Sometimes a group of Germans will appear in one of the rooms to the right, if that be the case kill them. Anyway take a right turn when you reach the end of the hallway then take a left. Take another right and you will run intot he topfloor catwalks. ------------------------------- Eliminate all German Resistance ------------------------------- Head over to the glass and crouch. Make sure your Mosin Nagant is loaded then pop up. Look down the iron sight and kill an enemy. Now quickly duck back down while you reload then pop up. Kill another German then repeat the process. Once all the Germans are dead walk out onto the catwalk and collet their ammo. I suggest having an MP44 and a Kar98k before continuing . Continue down the catwalk and two Germans will come up from the ramp at the end of the catwalk. Take them out then approach the door at the end of the catwalk. Three enemies will come out of it. Use the bullet spread effect of the MP44 to take them out then go down the ramp to the right. When you reach the bottom your comrades will blow a hole through the wall on the right. Sprint [ALT] over to the left side of the factory and grab one panzerfaust, your going to need it. A dozen or so Germans will come in through the opening to the left. Use your MP44 or Mosin Nagant to take them out. After a few seconds of fighting a tank will join the mix. ---------------------------------------- Get the Panzerfaust and destroy the Tank ---------------------------------------- Dont fire off your Panzerfaust just yet. Take out the sorrounding infantry first or else your trip to get another rocket will be extremely tough. Peek out from behind cover and pick off each enemy one by one until they are all dead. Fire off about 4 rockets to destroy the tank. ------------------------------- Eliminate all German Resistance ------------------------------- Clear up any German soldiers left fighting to complete this objective. ----------------------- Regroup with your Squad ----------------------- Head over to the center of the first floor of the factory for a small speech from Sgt. Antonov. Use WASD keys to move and the mouse to aim the turret. Press the left mouse button to fire the turret. The machine gun will automatically fire at approaching infantry. The direction your tank is traveling is indicated at the lower left part of the screen. Follow your allied tanks down the road and turn left. Tanks will fire at your positon from the other side of the river to the right. Ignore them and continue down the road. When you reach the bridge your objectives will be updated. -------------------- Destroy the PAK Guns -------------------- The "PAK" guns are located in the two huts at the edge of the river. Fire off a few rockets to disable them. ------------------------------------------ Eliminate the resistance across the stream ------------------------------------------ Move your Tank across the stream and take out the scattered German troops near the trucks. Your allied tanks will pound the hell out of the large building on the right side of the field. A group of Germans will huddle behind a fence next to the large building. Fire off a rocket or two to destroy the building and thus eliminating the resistance. ---------------------------------- Proceed to the town of Prokhorovka ---------------------------------- Continue following your allied tanks and you will come to small village at the end of the road. ----------------------------------------- Destroy the German tanks in the farm area ----------------------------------------- Panzer tanks will suddenly appear at the edge of the village. If you shoot a tank in the turret it will blow up in one shot. Any where else will take at least two. Fire off at the two on the left of the small building. Take out the single one that pops out from behind the building. Destroy him then wait a second. Several Panzers will appear on the right side of the field. Aim for the upper frame and fire away at them. Some infantry with Panzerfausts might spawn as well. The final tank in the farm area will approach from a road directly ahead of you. Its easier to take out then the other ones since its ahead of you and rather close. -------------------------------------------- Eliminate all German Resistance in your path -------------------------------------------- Now turn to the east and begin making your way down the road. As you near the edge of the village several Panzer tanks will come down the hill and attack you. Fire back and take them both out then continue up the road. When you reach the end of the road you will find that the path is blocked. You must go around it instead. Turn to the north and begin advancing down the field. You will come under fire from a Panzer on the other side of the field. Quickly take him out to continue. ---------------------------------- Proceed to the town of Prokhorovka ---------------------------------- Continue down the road and turn right at the end. From hear take another left and you will run into some more Tanks. ------------------------------------------- Eliminate all German Tanks at the Crossroad ------------------------------------------- Three extremly tough tanks will approach from the north. These will take around four hits to the turret to take down and pack a wallop in offense. Fire off rockets at their turrets without getting close enough for them to damage you. When all three tanks are destroyed you will be presented with a new objective. ---------------------------------------- Destroy all German tanks in the clearing ---------------------------------------- Advance towards the clearing to the west and you will come under fire from several tanks. Take out the two on the left side of the clearing first then disable the one advancing down the road. When all three are destroyed continue following your comrades down the road. As you reach the end of the clearing two more Tanks will fire at you from the end of the road. Destroy them both to continue. ---------------------------------- Proceed to the town of Prokhorovka ---------------------------------- Continue down the road to the west while following your allied tanks. At some point you will come under fire from a trooper with a Panzerfaust. Fire off a rocket in his general location to disable him. Continue past the house and down the road where your objectives will be updated. ------------------------------ Eliminate the German Roadblock ------------------------------ Continue down the road and you will come under fire from a mobile rocket launcher. Fire off two or three rockets to disable it permanitly. ---------------------------------- Destroy all remaining German Armor ---------------------------------- Continue down the road and you will come under fire from three Panzer tanks to the north. Fire a rocket at each ones turret for an instant kill. Now start crossing over the farmland [As in the rows in the ground] while looking to the north. Two more Panzers will begin approaching. Destroy them both then continue up the road. Three Tiger tanks will fire at you from the right to the northeast. Take them out and you will recieve a message saying more tanks are approaching from the west. Several of those really tough tanks [Dark Green] will advance over the ridge. Fire off a few rockets at each one to bring them down. A few Tigers will approach from the left side of the ridge. Take them out to finish the level. At the edge of the destroyed buildings is an old truck. Sprint behind it and crouch down. Several MG42 gunners in the buildings to the west will fire down at you and your squad. Sit tight for a few seconds and five Germans will come to sniff you out. Hide on the other side of the truck and keep your crosshairs on the side. Once they come in your view fire away. Take them all out then wait for a few more seconds. Eventually Russian Tanks will come in and pound the hell out of the buildings with the MG42 gunners. Once the coast is clear follow your squad down the road. When you come around the corner more MG42 gunners at the end of the street will fire at you. ---------------------- Meet with Sgt. Antonov ---------------------- Follow Sgt. Antonov and your squad into the open area to the west. Anti-Tank guns are firing down at the Tanks. Antonov wants you to find a spotting positon to take out the guns. Head into the building on the right. Go through the hallway then up the stairs. Run past the opened up corner then into the room with Pvt. Korolov. ------------------------------------ Take out the Anti-Tank positions [3] ------------------------------------ Head over to the window and equip your binoculars. In order to call in the air strike you will have to aim directly at the Anti-Tank gun [Gold colored gun on the other side of the street] and press the left mouse button. Pvt. Korolov will give the coordinates to the plane, which will in turn bomb the area. Now head back to the top of the stairs. Next to the top is a doorway with one German attacking. Gun him down then continue through the room. You will come to an area where the floor has collapsed. Take out the single German on the other side of the "room" then hop down. Follow your squadmate Pvt. Korolov and you will reach a building with its side blown up. Take out the German on the top floor then kill the one firing at you from the basement. Follow Korolov over to the stairs and take out the German that pops out of the door. Go up the wooden ramp and equip your binoculars. Aim at the Anti-Tank gun across the street and press the left mouse button. Pvt. Korolov will give the coordinates to the planes which will bomb the area. Go down the ramps all the way to the basement. Pvt. Korolov will bust down the door. Use yout SVT to pick off the MG42 gunner in the building to the north. Now sprint out across the open area and up the ridge to the right. Pick off the Germans in the builing ahead of you then go up the access ramp. Go over to the window on the far left and look out with your Binaculars. Aim at the Tiger Tank and press the left mouse button to call in the air strike. ---------------------- Advance with the Tanks ---------------------- Sgt. Antonov will radio in and tell you to rejoin the main force and continue assaulting the city. Jumo off the platform and wait in the basement for a second. Something will blow a hole in the wall giving you a path into the streets. Head out into the street and follow your squad west. When you regroup with the remaining squad members at the end of the street several Germans will fire at you from the buildings to the North. I woulld advise you to sneak around and pick them off one by one. Once they are dead continue advancing down the path with the tanks [Dont forget about the single German firing from the top of the Cinima]. After a little bit of walking a Tiger Tank will pop out of the rubble. Quickly run over to the building to the north and grab a Panzerfaust [Some health is lying around as well]. Go back into the street and quickly fire off a rocket at the Tiger. Now go back into the building and grab another Panzerfaust. Fire off another rocket to finish off the Tiger. Now continue to advance slowly down the street. You will come under fire from two Germans using a stup for cover. Pick both of them off with your SVT then continue down the street. ---------------- Assault the Town ---------------- When you reach the end of the road Sgt. Antonov will ask you to clear the buildings to the north. Follow your squad up the righe and head into the first structure. Quickly take out the MG42 nest then continue through the structure. As your near the nest three Germans will attack from the left side. Use an MP40 to take them out quickly then go through the hole in the wall to the south. Three Germans including one with a flamethrower will attack you from the east. Pick them off with your SVT or Kar98k then go over to wall where they were standing. Use the wall as cover while you disable the MG42 nest to the south. Now pick off the three Germans at the base of the building then turn to the east. Now advance through the blow up structure to the left. On the other side of the area is an MG34 gunner that will fire down on you. Find some cover [There is an overturned table at the end of the structure] and snipe the gunner. Several enemy soldiers will take up positions in the building to the east. Use a Kar98k to pick off each one [Make sure you get the one behind the fire, hes kind of hard to see]. Now continue to the middle of the square where two Germans will attack you. Use an SMG to quickly take them out. Mop up any remaining soldiers to be presented with a new objective. ---------------------------------------------- Assist Antonov with clearing out the buildings ---------------------------------------------- Head over to the star on your radar. Use the health on the table if you need it then head inside the structure. Immediatly take out the German at the end of the hallway then turn left. Go down the hallway and take right then head through a few more rooms. ---------------------------------- Clear out the Rest of the building ---------------------------------- Follow your two squadmates through a few more rooms. You will eventually meet up with three Germans. If you dont have one by now pick up an MP40 and kill them all using the bullet spread effect. Continue into the last room and quietly take out the MG42 gunner. Now head back through the building and regroup with your squad. Now continue through the building and you will come to a courtyard type area. Take out the Germans on the second and third floor first. When the upper levels are clear of enemies are clear hop down to the ground level. Find some cover and peek out. Scan the area for enemies then gun them down once they are in view. Go over to the southern end of the area and head up the steps. Go down the hallway and through the various rooms. You will come out in an open building thats one of many sorrounding the a small square. Use the health on the table if you need it [Which you probably do]. Several Germans will use the central walls of the square as cover. Wait for their heads to pop up then fire off a round to take'em out permanatly. When the square is cleared shift over to the building on the left. Use your SVT or Kar98k to take out the Germans in the building to the west. Now shift your aim to the south. At the base of the building Germans will start jumping out of the windows and taking up positions behind the low walls. Pick them off with yout SVT. Continue firing down at them for several minutes. Eventually a Tiger Tank will bust through the southern wall. ----------------------- Take out the Tiger Tank ----------------------- Quickly sprint back over to where your first entered the square and grab a Panzerfaust. Peek out one of the windows and fire off a rocket at the Tiger Tank. Now quickly go back and get another Panzerfaust. Aim at the Tiger then fire off another Rocket to finish it off. ---------------------------------- Clear out the Rest of the building ---------------------------------- Jump down to the bottom floor and take out any Germans inside the square. Huddle behind the broken up truck for cover. Peek out to the right and use your Binoculars to find the MG34 gunners. When you locate them center the screen on them then switch to your SVT. Fire away and they should go down pretty quick. Use this method on all of the gunners. When your ready to continue head over to the back of the truck. On the left side of the street is a tall building with two Germans firing at you. Take them out then sprint over to the wall on the left side of the street. Crouch down and continue over to the building. Head over to the right side of the wall and peek out. Quickly gun down the German in the window then go into the prone positon. Sneak around the fence and equip your binaculars. Look down the street and you will spot another MG32 gunner along with three other Germans. Throw a few grenades in that general direction to take out the four Germans. Now go behind one of the tanks and slowly advance down the street. Pay no attention to the MG42 gunners at the end of the street, for the Tanks will fire off a rocket in their direction. Keep folliwing the tanks until your squad breaks off to the right. The Square is not secure, so your squad needs to flank right. ---------------------- Meet with Sgt. Antonov ---------------------- This objective should really be called "Follow Sgt. Antonov". Anyway follow Antonov and your squad up the ridge and into the building. When you emerge an MG42 will fire upon he squad. Quickly run across the upper floor of the building then hop off. Follow the star on your radar to find Antonov huddled behind a sloping wall. ------------------ Cover Sgt. Antonov ------------------ Sgt. Antonov needs to reach Meishi so that he can radio in some engineers. The problem is that an MG42 is constantly firing down at the squad. You must cover Sargent Antonov while he makes a run for Meishi. Really all you have to do is follow him a little ways to the left. When you reach the low wall Antonov will ask you to run over to the tank on the other side of the square. This is the time that many gamers decide to forget about Antonov and just make a run for it. You MUST take out the MG42 gunners in the street in order for Antonov to survive. Head over to the first Tank and clear any resistance. Wait a few seconds and Antonov will run over to the second tank. Once he reaches the second tank sprint over with him [Dont forget about the health near the pole]. Your last risk will be to head inside the building. Follow Antonov up through the building until your reach Korokolv. ------------------------------------ Help Engineers cross the Battlefield ------------------------------------ Go over to the second level and grab the Scoped Kar98k. This objective is a major pain in the ass, plain and simple. The engineers are pretty strong, but there are so many Germans its quiete overwehlming. To make things worse an MG42 gunner in the backround will continue to fire at you. The best advice I can tgive you is to take out the Germans in the middle first. After a few minutes your objectives will be updated. ---------------------------- Regroup with Sargent Antonov ---------------------------- Hop down to the first floor and make your way across the square. When your reach the squad Antonov will go over the remaining objectives. Some he111's will interupt his chat however. ---------------------------------------------- Use the Flak gun to shoot down the He111's [9] ---------------------------------------------- Go over to the star on your radar to find the Flak gun. You must shoot down the advancing aircraft or else you will die [Literally, the explosion will kill you in one bang]. Technically you do not have to destroy them, but catch them on fire. They will come in three waves, each one with three planes. If they get to close they will fire off the bombs and kill you. Take them out one at a time as they get closer. When all nine planes are down you will be presented with a new objective. --------------------- Head to the Trainyard --------------------- Head west and you will come to a large structure. Inside are several Germans covering from both the ground and the upper levels. Instead of running in guns blazing I recommend staying back and sniping all of them. Take out the gunners using the brick wall as cover first. Enter the structure and look up at the upper levels. The Germans will respawn for several minutes, so just keep firing at them. As you advance through the structure continue to scan the upper level for more Germans. When you reach the train station your objevtives will be updated, ------------------------- Destroy all Inbound Tanks ------------------------- Your primary objective for the remaining part of the level is to eliminate the approaching tanks. You have a Flak '88 at your disposal, though the task will still be difficult. German Stukas will continually attack your position from above while German infantry will fire at you from the ground. Immediatly head for the Flak '88 gun. One shot to the turret of a tank will pretty much put it down for hood. Withen seconds of mounting the Flak '88 a tank will advance on your position. Fire off a rocket at the tanks turret for a quick destruction. Dismount the Flak '88 then head over to the tracks. The easiest way to avoid fire from both the Stukas and enemy infantry is to hide underneath the train. So find the gap between the cars and crawl underneath. The Stuka pilots will be confused and attack another area. Avoid taking damage for a few minutes until the second tank arrives. Crawl back out of the cars and hop onto the Flak '88. Fire off another rocket at its turret for immediate destruction. Once the tank is in pieces hop off of the Flak. Go grab some health if needed then head back to your position underneath the train. The next tank will come after about 5 minuts. Mount the Flak again and take it out with a rocket to the turret. Stay on the Flak for a second as the next tank comes almost immediatly after the previous one. Once the fourth tank has been destroyed the Stuka will start coming in more often. For the last the tank the Flak'88 has been blown up, so I you're goint to have to use one of the many panzerfausts lying around. Pick one up then head into position. Just as with the flak one rocket to the turret should finish off the tank for good. After the tank has been blown up you will be presented with a two minute timer. All you have to do is survive for 120 seconds. This is harder then it sounds, however. The easiest way to finish is to hide underneath the train. The problem with this however is that the German infantry will now know where you are, hence they will fire at you. You could fire back or simply just run around helpless until the timer runs out. Either way once the timer runs out you will be presented with the ONLY cutscene in both United Offensive and the original. Congrats!
