And look, he got a new outfit. Well, that is the least difference one may notice. So Hudson finally decided to make another non-level-based adventure game! Anyone who have read my guide on Bomberman Tournament might notice some similarities in this guide. Others who have played Bomberman Tournament will also see similarities in the guide. I decided to write this guide because I am very devoted to the Bomberman series. I've only wrote one guide on Bomberman, but I've played a lot more. The second one is the KARABOMS, where you can select friends you find on the road (this one has less Karaboms than BT.) You can also view each Karabom's current level. In this game, you are collecting various fruits to make your assigned Karabom gain levels. Finally, there is the old BOMBS menu, where you can switch bombs (after you find them, of course) and see your collected Upgrades and your current Bomb/ Power. You start with 3 hearts, 2 bombs, 2 power and a new suit. Something good will happen then... At that time, return to the old man and he will give you his Glasses. Now let's head to Sunasuna Desert and to the NorthEastern Cave... -North-Eastern Cave- Read the sign and head right. -Kanbanoukoku Area- Otherly known as signpost heaven. Read them all if you want, but do the most important ones if you are lazy like me. Bomb the pine tree from the bottom and activate the warp point. One screen up, read the sign next to the huge door and answer 14. Talk to the heart statue for replenishing. Back up one screen, and head left (by reading the post and enter the other door). Here's a puzzle, follow my lead by reading the first post you see. He will cut trees for you and repair the bridge between the West and the East part of the town. -Aqua Village- - Go to S1 and activate Warp Point. - Go to H0, talk to the fuser, and agree to fuse something. Cancel and receive a valuable Bomber Album. - Exit through P3. -Wakutsugenge Area- Head North, go inside the guardian's gate-house, and talk to him. He will tell you that his key is missing. So leave and head South, then West. -Iwayamanishi Area- Head West, South, West. -Forest- Head North to H5 of Aqua Village. -Aqua Village- - Head to H5. Talk to the left side scientist and answer yes to receive a Karabom Informations Book. - Exit through P4 and head to Iwayamanishi Area, to the Kai-Man cave. -Kai-Man Cave- This is in the Iwayamanishi Area, opposite side to the Forest exit, and it is a cave in the mountains. Talk to Kai-Man inside and play a mini-game! /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [Mini-Game: Dodge'em] | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | In this mini-game, you are stranded on a 9 by 7 grill space, with the | |four corner spaces cut out. The goal is to not get hit by anything for 30 | |seconds. Danger comes in different forms: there are Sibaloons (a purple | |octopus Karabom) who spit shells at you, there are mysterious arrows pitched | |at you, there are bats flying around the arena, and after a while, huge | |boulders will be dropping from the sky, and break a random block. Finally, | |Silaboons are going to start spitting 2 shells at a time, more bats are going| |to join the party, and arrows will have accuracy in aiming at you. The only 2| |defenses you have are your fast hands (yes!) and the B button, which acts as | |a shield for the shells and the arrows. One shot and you have to restart the | |whole thing. | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | I would recommend first practice moving the joystick. Also, use the | |shield, it is very handy. Third, do not stand on a block that will be | |bombarded. This one is very easy to handle. Finally, do not trap yourself in | |a corner, especially when you have 10 seconds left and things start to get a | |tad bit tricky... | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Now that that is done, greet your new Karabom, Kai-Man! And you also get the key. Now it's off to the gate! Oh, do not forget to equip Pommy back, since you want to fully train one Karabom before moving on to another... -Wakutsugenge Area- Talk to the guard and he will open the gates. -Kidanodankai Area- For extra fruits, bomb the pine tree to the left, and it will fall down. Pass through the small road to get to 3 shrubs, all containing fruits for your karaboms. Head back, and cross the bridge. Activate the Warp Point and head to the cave North-West of it. Talk to the old couple, then head outside, and walk West. -Koainotokotsu Area- Head for the tree stump. Head down 2 floors to the huge ice block. Bomb it and collect the Ice Piece. Head back to Aqua Town. -Aqua Village- - Head to H0. Fuse the Glass and the Ice Piece to obtain the Ice Bomb. -Wood Chopping Area- If you like, go talk to the old lady downstairs in the Wood Chopping Area, near a water fountain spinning a log. Freeze the water, walk past, and go talk to her, although she do not seem to do anything. -Kidanodankai Area- Now that you have the Ice Bomb, go blast the water-log thing and walk past to the East. Just make sure you bombed it at an appropriate time, or else, blast it with a normal bomb, and try again. Repeat the process for another log to the East, but try to aim it so that it aligns with the top bridge. Cross over, bomb the cave and talk to this old guy. Observe the mysterious hole in the ground, and we will come back to it. Re-calibrate the log to the lower bridge, cross over, and enter the tunnel. To correctly freeze the log in the tunnel, wait till it turns to the vertical position, lay a bomb, and watch it open up! Inside, two explorers will lead you to Elifan Mother. Talk to it, and it will ask you to find it's child, and head East. Navigate until you exit out into the swamp. -Swamp- Navigate around the space ship!?! to find Elifu. Return it to it's mother. They will unite for a while, but then Elifu will join your Karabom team! Use his powers to move rocks. -Wakutsugenge Area- Head south from the tunnel from Ferris Town and push the boulder to enter. Inside, there is a room with blue and pink rocks. Very easy solution, I do not need to put it here because it is simply ridiculous... Continue heading West. Outside, head to that cave, find those pesky robots, and they will escape. Follow them to their cave. But first, return to that computer lab and pick up a Bomber Panel, which mysteriously disappears... Head into their newly opened cave. When you reemerge outside, there is a little gadget. Bomb the red switches to move the blue-white platform up and down, which you have to be standing on, if you want to move ahead. Head North for 2 screens, navigate to find a Warp Point, and enter the cave. First room, watch out for those Fire Shell Towers. Second room, look for the pink rocks. D6 - Move left 2x, Up 2x, Left 2x, Up 2x and exit West. C6 - Get to the button by moving the left top block down, then the second top block to the right. Press the button, take the train to North. C4 - Activate the machine, take the Map Disc and head back. C5 - Press the button again and head West. B5 - Avoid the towers and move South. B6 - Bomb the left wall. A6 - Move to the first intersection and go down, left, up, left, down, left, up, and collect the Bomb-Up Upgrade. Return to intersection. D6 - Symmetry the last block solution and move East. E6 - Bomb the log and move on. F6 - Take the ferry, press the button, take it again and move East. G6 - Bomb the scorpions and take the Broken Piece. Head back to the previous room and move North. F5 - Use Kai-Man shell to block the towers (hopefully you have upgraded it to Torpedo-Man so you can walk around with that shell). You have to bomb all the boxes to unlock the doors to West. E5 - Simple log puzzle. Move North. E3 - Talk to the scientist and he will tell you how to deactivate the lock in D5. Head back to the D6. D6 - Move North. D5 - Bomb the red switch, then stand on the two green switches when the slots point to O. Enter North. D4 - Take the rightmost train, bomb the wall, and head West. C3 - Destroy the enemies to unlock the safe, which contains a big potion. Return back. D4 - Take the third train from the left, walk on the switch, then take the leftmost train to go fight the boss. D2 - BOSS: Armadillo Robot DESC: Watch out for it's image, which can still damage you, but you cannot damage it. After two hits, the real robot will dig underground and four drills will come up from the ground. Avoid them. When it dashes, it will detonate your bombs, so watch out. ATTK: Bump - 1 heart Shoot Shells - 1 heart Dash - 1 heart Drill - 1 heart KILL: Bomb the real robot - 5 shots You will gain a heart. Move North. D1 - The robots and their master will escape to Sand Earth. Bomberman will then pursuit to Sand Earth also. But first warp back to Ancient Earth, we have some unfinished business. -Kidanodankai Area- Remember the pine tree, well, this time you have Elifan, go back and push the block to find a secret room. Inside, bomb all the grass, and use the Ban technique to pass through. Next room, push the center rock left, then head downstairs. Bomb the boulder 3 times and it will break, releasing water everywhere. Head back up, and West. In the next room, watch out for the spikes. Walk one step at a time, since they alternate. Pass through and head outside. Walk up to another cave. You want the logs to be horizontal, and vertical. In the next room, the switch is on the second row, second to last column bush. Next room, watch the pattern of the spikes, then get though. -Wanakutsuru Area- Watch out for the cactus, then jump into the whirlpool to re-appear beneath the row of cactus. Head South. The first two whirlpools are connected, but head for the third one. When you re-emerge, bomb the shells, and push the top rock right, then the bottom right block right. Jump into the whirlpool. Head south, use Eel's power to hide your presence and sneak through the old man. Navigate until you get to Desert Ville. Go inside the Sacred Cave, and obtain an Extra Heart. Warp to Desert Ville outside and pass the Sawaku Cave again. -Sunasuna Desert- Push the second boulder down, then walk into the right well. -Crystal Cave- Bomb the wall, talk to the persons, and walk out. Head outside, walk West, enter the cave. Head North, then up the ladders, down the slide, talk to the persons inside the cave, exit, and walk back to the outside in that screen. Take the right whirlpool and bomb the wall. Talk to the girl. Outside, head South, then East. Bomb the wall, talk, out, down the cave, bomb, talk, out, North a screen, and jump into the whirlpool. Inside the cave, walk along the spike things and watch out. No, eel cannot help you here. Next screen, walk up to the ladder, climb it, and slide to the right. Enter the building, and talk to the guy to pick up the Letter. Go back to the girl in the bottom-right-most side of the crystal cave (through the south-east entrance). Give the love letter and recieve an reply letter. Go back to the man in the top area, and by giving him the reply letter, recieve a ring. Head back to Desert Ville H1 and talk to the man to recieve a Gear!?! Anyway, return back to the man's place. Navigate back to the top of the ladder and slide left this time. Head North and you will find the Flower. C1 - First send a bomb through the tube, then head up, push down a block, and send another bomb through the tube. Take the stairs up. B1 - Head left. F1 - First, clear the room, then put a bomb on the outside yellow switch. It will deactivate the barrier, so kick a bomb to the inner yellow switch and run for the door. G2 - Destroy the saw blades and head down. G3 - Bomb the wall. H3 - Take the Big Potion, return back to the previous room, and head upstairs. I3 - Send a bomb to the left, then one to the right, and before they both explode, run for the gate. I2 - BOSS: Spider Robot DESC: The spider walks around the place, stopping every bit of time. When it stops, it will launch 4 rockets, which will track their way to you. Use that time to kick a bomb to it. Also, this arena have many hidden blocks and after a while, they disappear. On the third floor, you need to kick the first bomb in the tube, wait about 1 second, and kick the second one so it explodes the switch. Next room, destroy all robots to free the prisoners. Head for the next screen. Same process for the Northern building, and it will open the dungeon gates. Head in. Simple maze till you get to the Lava Area. -Lava Area- Activate the Warp Point and walk inside the Lagoon Cave. -Lagoon Cave- Walk around the room to the left, bomb the log, and choose Light Bomb before walking on the central platform. Name: Ice Man Desc: The Mini-Boss in the lagoon cave. It can place bombs. What you have to do is place two adjacent bombs in intersections, and another adjacent to one of the bombs, so it forms a sort of L shape, trapping it. Attk: Bump - 1 heart Regular Bomb - 1 heart Kill: 4 shots (Light Bomb) Obtain the Water Drop when it is defeated. Exit back to a Fuse House. I recommand going back to the Burrow. -Burrow- - go to H3 and fuse the Water Bomb. - exit through P3. -Hibashiri Lot- Navigate till the first Flame Chameleon enemy you see. Kill it and receive a Tail (if you don't, keep trying). Also, enter the cave that was previously blocked by fire. Head to the Ubashiti Area and to the North-Eastern building, which was also previously blocked by fire. -Ubashiti Area- In that building, second room, you have to kick three bombs to activate the lower switch while on the top switch, it's a little bit harder: put a bomb, wait for around 3 seconds, then kick it so it explodes the switch. After you re-emerge, head South. You will see a huge building, but first bomb the blocks outside, walk North-East to get to the Challenge Building. CHALLENGE BUILDING: This is where you replay boss and mini-games to get the best score. Sometimes you will actually be rewarded with cash if you are good. Return to the big building next to the Warp Point. Head upstairs, then navigate South-West to go back downstairs. Bomb the robots to free Deo, your new Karabom. Head for the third floor (through the North-West second floor stairs). There are two rooms where you need fast bombs to destroy blocks before a 10 sec and a 25 sec time limit expires and the doors shut. Last room, find the owner of Deo, a lady. She will thank you, offer Deo to you, and open the door to a building. Head for that building. Inside, you will be faced with enemies and timed challenges. Just do not blast yourself and you will be fine. -Atsukandaichi Area- Head left and bomb the wall to receive a signature from a guy inside the cave. Now head up the stairs, go West, then North, then East. Down the stairs. Next part, watch out for the lava and wait till the pause... Sooner or later, you will get to a Warp Point. First head East, and South. Bomb the wall, talk to the old man, and be healed. Back to the huge building. It's locked so head to the East building first. Place a bomb on the yellow switch, and head for the left door. E2 - Bomb all enemies and head up. E1 - Fast reflex is the key. While you are on the train, pitch two bombs at two switches to open the road. Continue right. G1 - Kick a bomb into the tube, then toss a bomb in the newly blasted hole. Open the chest for a Bomb-Up. Back to the train and switch section and head left. C4 - The switch to the left is for the left door, and the encased switch is for the door you came in. Use the former one to exit left. B3 - Walk up. B2 - Take two trains, then take the third train back to the start. Drop a bomb on the switch, and ride that train back to the exit. A1 - Press the switch once, then drop a bomb on the switch, take the train and open the chest for a Golden Leg Armor. Head for the train intersection and go up. D3 - Kick a bomb to the yellow switch, then kick one to the red switch. Open the door and face the boss. D2 - BOSS: Fly Robot DESC: First off, I would recommand using Doukon if you have him. Watch out for all of its attacks, they are all sudden. After three hits, it will send three flames to attack. Destroy them just as you would normally. Then after two more attacks, it will start pitching its wings as boomerangs, but they do not go too far. The guy inside will ask you if you can kindly post Signs in soil grounds (squares outside with a little hole). You will get a bunch of Signs. Go to Ancient Ferris Town, into the Pyramid of the Moon, and center room. Talk to the Priest and she will open Bird Gates. Now you can step on one and be transported to somewhere else! Now let's first make a stop to Doukutsu area, left of the Mountain Foot Warp Point. -Doukutsu Area- Hey, look, that rock-bush formation looks like an ARROW!?!?!?! Well, one way to be sure, use a light bomb at the tip of the arrow to uncover a secret passage. Go down, second room, bomb the leaf while standing on them. Third room, toss a bomb to the leaf, and pass through. Outside, warp, post a sign, bomb the Pine tree, and head into the Tree. There is this room where you first toss the bomb to the right of the leaf, then toss a bomb to the bottom of the leaf to get over. Obtain the Fire-Up and go back 3 screens. B5 - Head up. B4 - Walk to the right side and bomb the wall. C4 - There are four Mimic Chests. Have fun finding the right chest containing a Big Potion. Back to the last screen. B4 - Walk on the green switch, and enter the next room. B3 - BOSS: Armadillo Robot Same thing. Just go along and you will do fine. Back to the first room. D5 - Head right. E5 - Head up. E4 - Activate the machine, get the Map Disc, and head down. E5 - Head down. E6 - Use Rapid Bansa. Head right. F6 - There are hidden cubes. Destroy the enemies and head up. F5 - Walk right, push that block up, then block right, and block up. Get to the tunnel and bomb that red switch using bomb kick. Navigate through the 4 spikes, note that you HAVE to activate them, so be careful. Walk to the top-right door. G3 - Press the switch, get after that gate, destroy the right Mimic Chest and take the Big Potion. Take the right road and return to the previous screen. G4 - Go back down, activate the first spike, bomb the red switch, then get to the boss door. F3 - BOSS: Spider Robot Not too hard, since you now have all upgrades. Destroy him and return to the first room again. D5 - Head up. D4 - Destroy the three enemies and take the stairs up. K4 - Put a bomb on the yellow switch and head up. K3 - Head left. J3 - Destroy the three enemies and head down. J4 - Blast the three red switches and head down. J5 - 12 sec countdown. Go to the intersection where you can go down or left. Stop and toss a bomb down. Then walk left, one block before the dead end, toss a bomb left. Back to the intersection, walk down 2 squares. Toss a bomb left. Finally, bomb the last block blocking your exit, and head left. I5 - Bomb all enemies and collect the Bomb-Up. Back 2 screens. J4 - Head left. I4 - Bomb the red switch, walk on the green switch, and take the cart. There are three red switches you have to get while on the cart. Head up. H2 - Blast the right wall. I2 - Bomb the 2 red switches and take the Big Potion. Back a room. H2 - I hope you have Elks. If not, use Pteogudon and put 4 bombs on the 4 yellow switches. Head up. H1 - BOSS: Fly Robot Psss... Easy! K3 - Head right. L3 - Take a leaf right, then one down. Walk to the right side, and toss a bomb to blast the wall. Head down. M5 - Take a counter-clock road, watching out for spikes. Press the switch and head left. L5 - Destroy all enemies. Head up. L4 - DO NOT TRY DESTROYING ANY BLOCKS. You might send the only leaf flying. You need that to get to the other side. Go to that secret room. N4 - Jeez, take the top road! Receive an Antidote, and go back via the bottom road. M4 - Take the leaf up. Head right. N3 - Wait in your little corner for the screws to come. Destroy them, and run for the top exit. N2 - Throw a bomb to the crumbling wall from the middle, then go there. M2 - Bomb the top leaf down, then left. Bomb the bottom leaf right, then up. Take the Big Potion and go back. N2 - Your only hope of bombing that red switch is from the bottom. Head up. N1 - BOSS: Golem Robot Come on! How hard can this game actually get!?!? K3 - Head up. K1 - BOSS: Gargoyle Robot DESC: Hard one to beat. It will fly in an Horizontal Eight pattern, then spit Photon Shells. After 2 hits, it will become invisible, all but its shadow. Switch to Light Bomb and blast him again. After 7 hits, it will be back for a re-match, this time, as a Flame Gargoyle Robot. Notice that Normal and Ice Bomb do nothing, Light and Wind bomb do 1 damage, and Water Bomb do 2 damages. It will now spit Ice Shells at you when it flies, and it can still hurt you when it is towering in the air. After 2 hits, it will try shooting Ice Shells at all directions. Stop it before it gets Bomberman. After the third hit, it will fly out, show a big arrow its direction, and quickly sweep in that direction. Continue bombing it and it will die. This of them as Pokemons for you youngsters, or strong battling robots for you old freaks. Anyway, here's the deal with them: you can train a Karabom by equipping it and picking up food from the ground. It will level up and transform into another monster if it attained a STAR, I.E., a level. For leveling up, it takes about 10-15 fruits for the first level, 25-30 fruits for the second level, 40-45 fruits for the third level, and 65-70 fruits for the final level-up. A good place to level-up place is the cave in the Kidanodankai area. There are three rooms, and there are a lot of boulders inside. And if you exit and return, they will re-appear. When it stops, it will launch 4 rockets, which will track their way to you. Use that time to kick a bomb to it. Also, this arena have many hidden blocks and after a while, they disappear. Sometimes, the spider will go up, then drop down suddenly out of no where. Just watch the shadow to know where it will descent. Attk: Bump - 1 heart Rocket - 1 heart Web Shot - slow down Dive - 1 heart Kill: Bomb the spider - 6 shots Lctn: Zhikensachi Dungeon, Amuji Battleship Name: Ice Man Desc: The Mini-Boss in the lagoon cave. It can place bombs. What you have to do is place two adjacent bombs in intersections, and another adjacent to one of the bombs, so it forms a sort of L shape, trapping it. Attk: Bump - 1 heart Regular Bomb - 1 heart Kill: 4 shots (Light Bomb) Lctn: Lagoon Cave Name: Fly Robot Desc: First off, I would recommand using Doukon if you have him. Watch out for all of its attacks, they are all sudden. After three hits, it will send three flames to attack. Destroy them just as you would normally. Then after two more attacks, it will start pitching its wings as boomerangs, but they do not go too far. Attk: Bump - 1 heart Dash - 1 heart Wall Wing Crush - 1 heart Create Flame Wing Boomerang - 1 heart Kill: 8 shots Lctn: Kerunoubu Dungeon, Amuji Battleship Name: Golem Robot Desc: This one is easy. It bounces around, crushing you, hitting you with its spikes. Then it starts spinning the spikes around itself. After two hits, it will shoot ice shells at you and at the same time, drop four max powered bombs onto the floor randomly. Attk: Bump - 1 heart Spike Toss - 1 heart Spike Spin - 1 heart Bombs - 2 hearts Ice Shells - 1 heart Two Spike Toss - 1 heart Kill: 8 shots Lctn: Kerunoubu Dungeon, Amuji Battleship Name: Gargoyle Robot Desc: Hard one to beat. It will fly in an Horizontal Eight pattern, then spit Photon Shells. After 2 hits, it will become invisible, all but its shadow. Switch to Light Bomb and blast him again. After 7 hits, it will be back for a re-match, this time, as a Flame Gargoyle Robot. Notice that Normal and Ice Bomb do nothing, Light and Wind bomb do 1 damage, and Water Bomb do 2 damages. It will now spit Ice Shells at you when it flies, and it can still hurt you when it is towering in the air. After 2 hits, it will try shooting Ice Shells at all directions. Stop it before it gets Bomberman. After the third hit, it will fly out, show a big arrow its direction, and quickly sweep in that direction. Continue bombing it and it will die.
