You should always fight from the left side of the screen all the way to the bottom. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit Deck ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There are two options in this catergory: One is the chest, this allows you to add cards to your Deck. The other is Card List, this allows you to remove cards from your deck. To remove a card ---------------- * Highlight the name of the card * Press the A button on it * Pick the bottom option To add a card ------------- * Highlight the name of the card * Press the A button on it * Pick the bottom option ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Status Page ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There isn't a whole lot of info on this page (yet). All I know is this allows you to see your name. One -- Duelst Level <-- This tells you what level you're at. 73 Deck Capacity <--Your deck capacity tells you how many points you're allowed 715 to have. If you use many high-star cards, you will use up a lot of Deck Capacity. If you use lower star cards, you will use up less Deck Capacity. NOTE: If you hit right on the control pad at this screen, you'll be taken to the records page. And to get those good cards, you'll have to beat many, many good duelists. Have no fear, though, ChaosDemon is with you ever step of the way. From the start, to the finish, you'll find walkthrough for everyone you can fight in the game. Walkthrough Notes ----------------- * Your Duelist level will be promoted regardless of the outcome * If you win, you'll be awarded a card * If you lose, you won't lose a card * It's important that you don't exceed your Deck Capacity(refer to Game Basics) * Defeat each Duelist five (or more) times to progess to the next level * You may only have forty(40) Cards in your deck -- no more, no less =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Stage 1 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The most basic stage there is -- Stage 1! There isn't a whole lot of strategy needed to win these battles. You must beat each duelist at least 5 times to progress on to the next stage. The same strategy will work for this stage over and over again. NOTE: You may want to keep a chart somewhere to insure that you won't forget how many times you've beaten who. Example: Yugi - 3 Tristan - 2 Joey - 4 Mai - 5(completed) Mako - 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yugi ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -Powerful Cards summoned- None -Suggested Cards- Knight of Fire Silver Wolf[Fang] Hidden Technique: Discard Cards to give Duelist more Energy(LP) Yugi's deck consists of only 200 Attack/Defense(for the most part). Just summon at least three Cards to battle; it may be best to have the whole party out for a quick win. Yugi's cards won't be able to deal much damage on you -- take advantage of that: Instead of playing a defensive came, you'll want to get a quick start -- attack with your most powerful cards. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tristan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >> "I have strong cards. Beat me to get them." -Powerful Cards summoned- None -Suggested Cards- Knight of Fire Silver Wolf Fort Pro[tector] This guy just reeks in his battles. His cards are bad ones, he doesn't have any attack (or defense), he just stinks. Add the tree to your collection then to your deck to win him easily. Use the same strategy you've used against Yugi. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Joey ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -Power Cards Summoned- Red Eyes Black Dragon -Suggested Cards- Knight of FireX2 Silver Wolf X3 Fort Pro[tector] Dark Magician Magnet The battles start to heat up now. This guys has Red Eyes[Black Dragon], one of the best Cards out there. For that, you'll need Dark Magician to back up your cards. As soon as the Red Eyes[Black Dragon] comes in, you'll need to hope you have either two Knight of Fire or a Dark Magician; anything less and you'll go out pretty quickly. Without the powerhouse, Red Eyes[Black Dragon], this guy is pretty much just another pushover. He has many Hane cards -- a little too many. If the opportunity comes, set Magnet to Defend; he'll be there for a long time. Follow the strategy [and things will turn out fine!] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mai ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >> "Japanese Text; not in ASCII format." -Powerful Cards summoned- Harpy Lady Sisters -Suggested Cards- Knight of FireX2 Silver Wolf X3 Fort Pro[tector] Dark Magician Magnet ID - 222(Not in ASCII Format) Summoned Skull Fungi - WILL MAKE THE BATTLE VERY EASY!!! Now here's a battle that gets quite interesting. She is a fairly powerful Duelist with many good cards. She's all right, but she isn't _so_ good. She has a card who's attack/defense ratings are 1500+ -- if she can draw that card, make sure you have a good card to battle it(someone like the Knight of Fire). Also, she has a card who has 1000 Attack and 1100 Defense -- this card seems to counter your attacks if you don't strike with 1000 Attack. You're going to have to put together a good group of cards to beat her -- use 800+ Attack Cards. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mako ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >> "Japanese Text; not in ASCII format." -Powerful Cards summoned- Whale Thing(3055 - 2800)(possible Fusion) -Suggested Cards- Knight of FireX2 Silver Wolf X3 Fort Pro[tector] Dark Magician Magnet ID - 222(Not in ASCII Format) Summoned Skull Blue Eyes [White Dragon] This guy has a Card who has 3055 damage (more powerful than Blue Eyes White Dragon!) once he gets that card summoned, this is pretty much over. So you have to come out strong -- a quick start is usaully the key to victory. Have the above cards handy for a speedy-victory. Remember, do not summon the powerful cards very early in the match! Use the weaker cards and eventually move into Summoned Skull types. =-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=- Stage 2 =-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Esp Roba ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -Suggested Cards- Knight of FireX2 Silver Wolf X3 Fort Pro[tector] Dark Magician Magnet 2 ID - 222(Not in ASCII Format) Summoned Skull Dark Elf This guy isn't a challenge at all, if you have the right cards, that is. He'll summon some OK cards to battle, but that is as far as he'll go. First off, you'll want to have the Dark Elf in this battle. If he summons the 1400 card, you'll be able to take it out with the reliable Dark Elf (And in my opinon, THE most reliable). There isn't a whole lot of strategy needed for this, so just remember to get a good start (again). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rex ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Type: Dinosaur Cards -Suggested Cards- Knight of FireX2 Silver Wolf X3 Fort Pro[tector] Dark Magician Magnet 2 ID - 222(Not in ASCII Format) Summoned Skull Dark Elf The battles begin to get more tough now. He'll try and use all the cards he can to take you out. The Dark Elf will be the key in this battle, have it summoned as soon as you can. His team of cards will consist mostly of 1000+ Attack monsters, so be careful. If you can, bring in a 2000 defender and set it to Defend -- this will favor you in the long run. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Weevil(Dexter) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (It's not his real name, but this guy just reminds me of Dexter from "Dexter's Lab" sooooooooo badly.) Type: Bug(Plant) -Suggested Cards- Dark Elf Summoned Skull This guy will Fuse many cards to make his weaklings more powerful. So, to deal with him, along with his monsters, you'll need to use many 2000+ Cards. Someone like the Dark Elf and Summoned Skull will fit into this battle perfectly. Anything less and you'll go down in...bug juice. Also, his cards _can_ go up to 1500/2000 Attack, so be aware of that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pandora ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Type: Dark/Fiend -Suggested Cards- Gazelle Time Wizard This guy can be a snap if you have any Light Cards drawn, so add a couple of them to your deck. If you don't have any Light Cards, this battle will be one heck of a ride. You see, his cards have a lot of Attack/Defense, so you'll have to play type advantage in these situations. Unless you have some over-powering Cards of your own(Summoned Skull/Dark Magician), you'll need some Light Cards. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Seeker ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Type: Earth/Aqua Style: Defensive -Suggested Cards- Icicle Plant(Construction) Thousand Dragon(Time Wizard Effect + Baby Dragon) Summoned Skull Dark Magician Harpie Lady Sisters Any Wind Card Harpie Lady This guy will play a rather defensive game, he'll summon thick skinned Earth monsters. What you want to do is prepare some an attacking party while the Seeker is defending. So, summon a card then End Your Turn without attacking. As soon as you draw a Wind Elemental Card, take out the monster with the highest defense rating. Then, continue your assault. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kaiba ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Type: Shadow/Aqua/Fiend/Earth/Light/Forest Style: Power -Powerful Cards Summoned- Blue Eyes White Dragon Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon(Fusion) -Suggested Elements- - Shadow - Wind Here's the best of the best in this stage. He'll summon some pretty powerful cards, so you'll have to have some rather defensive cards in your deck to deal damage to his Life Points. As soon as he draws the Blue Eyes White Dragon, you'll have to counter with a Shadow type -- that's right -- the pathetic Wretched Ghost can be used to take out one of the most powerful cards in the game. The only strategy is: hit him hard and fast. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Stage 3 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The going gets tougher now... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Paradox ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Type: Light -Suggested Cards- Dark Elf Acid Trap Hole Bell Billcount(Construction: 26,7) -Powerful Cards Summoned- Brain Control(Trap) This guy isn't all strong, all you need to do is attack him with strong cards. The usual strategy will always work: hit him hard and fast. He'll occasionally use Brain Control to control your cards, watch out for that. Get a couple of the Acid Trap Hole cards and set them up to deal with the Devine (no weakness) types. Wrap up in brief: - Get off to a good start - Use the Trap Holes often - Look out for the Brain Control ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ishizu ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Type: Light(for the most part) -Suggested Cards- Summoned Skull(for a quick victory) Dark Elf Acid Trap Hole Dark Hole Her deck features many female cards(?) to duel. She'll bring in those Devine elements to deal with you, so you'll have to have those Trap Hole Cards ready. Also, she has the mighty Swords of Rrevealing Light card. With this annoying little piece of paper, you won't be able to attack in three turns! However, that doesn't mean you can't prepare some pleasent Trap Holes to attack...Here's the crucial part, you MUST get out to a good start this time, it's an absolute MUST, the longer this battle goes, the more it'll tilt to her favour. She'll also use the Spell Biding Circle; lowering your Cards' stats 500 each. Wrap-up - Look out for the Devine Elements - Use Acid Trap Hole often - Use Dark Hole to relieve of the Devine Types - When necessary, don't bring in very powerful cards ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Slysheen ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Type: Fiend -Suggested Cards- Gazelle... Acid Trap Hole Dark Hole Bellie...26,7 Icicle Plant This guy's deck is filled with Fiend and Shadow types, so bring in the Light and Dreams types. He plans to take over the world, and only beating him five times can you stop him. There's only two strategies that can help you in this struggle: Use the Acid Trap Hole to set up big assaults on his Life Points, and get off to a quick start. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ P. Seto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Type: Multiple -Suggested Cards- Any card with 1600+ Attack will do He wields the Change of Heart Card -- in case you don't know -- this could be the most lethal card in the whole Yu-Gi-Oh! game. You see, this Change of Heart card will put (most likely) YOUR most POWERFUL card against YOU (You can't believe how I felt when he took control of my Summoned Skull). The deal is, he's going to take advantage of one your powerful cards, there's doubt about that, but no matter what, you have to keep your cool! You must destroy the card he'd taken, so don't be afraid to do that. His deck also has many Trap cards in them, so you must counter by assaulting him with the Acid Trap Hole and Dark Hole cards. The final battle in Stage 3 -- Can you deal with one of the biggest egos in the game? Recap: - Use Acid Trap Hole a LOT - Powerful cards are the way to go - "Conquer your Cards" - Change of Heart WILL be used o This can(and will) change the WHOLE tide of the battle - Take all advantages -- Destroy Monsters QUICKLY =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Final Stage =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DarkNite ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -Suggested Cards- King Deadbeast(Construction; 13,0) CentipedMino(6,4) QuickdrawMantis(1,6) BambooPlant(8,9) Cardinal Alligator(23,22) Acid Trap Hole Basically, this guy will attack you with many Trap cards. An example is the Change of Heart, this card is practically used by everyone in Egypt. Now he doesn't really weaknesses, so you'll have to do to him what you have did to everyone else: Get off to a good start. I can't stress this enough: you'll have to damage the opponent quickly if you want to win. If your favourite card received a bad rating, don't go blaming me about it. So, that's about it. One more thing: These "critiques" are only here to give you a ---------basic------ idea about them, not bash them. This is where you'll receive some "Card Reviews," so to speak. I'll give each card a rating. Ratings ------- *: Zzzzzzz...This card won't even wake up an opponent. This is a bad card. Period. (C-) **: Better, but not by much. Average Card. Average Attacker and Defender. (C) ***: A good card to use in mild situations. When the going gets tough, switch out. Good Attacker, but not good defender (or vice versa)(C+) ****: Very good card. Fits in just about every situation there is. A good attacker and defender. (B) *****: The best possible card. Will fit in all situations. Good Attacker and Defender.(A) NOTE: Half(1/2) ratings are only used when it is _very_ neccessary. You won't find many halves in this list. Critique ID Card Name Rating Short Critique ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 Blue Eyes ***** If the duel White Dragon just isn't going your way, this card will make all the difference. 2 Summoned *** This Card should Skull only be used during "attacking situations," since it isn't a good defender. 3 Dark Magician **** The Dark Magician is probably one of the best available cards to use. If you need to defend, the 2100 Defense points are more than enough. 4 Magnet 2 *** Magnet 2 is only here for defense. It can not attack with a bang, rage, etc...If you need a card to hold down the fort, this is the way to go. 5 Silver Fang *** One of the okay cards, but not one of the excellent ones. Silver Fang only has the ability to take advantage of the opponent's mistakes and/or weaknesses. 6 Flame *** A nice addition to any deck. Swordsman This card needs a sacrifice in order to work -- this lowers the rating. You should use the Flame Swordsman in the beginning of duels; it won't serve you well when the duel grows old. 7 Fort ***1/2 This card is somewhat better Protector than average. It has a nice attack rating -- this is important for any battle, it also has a nice defense at 1200. Again, use this card in the beginning of battles to take advantage. 8 Red Eyes **** Here's the card Joey used to Black Dragon pound you into the ground so, so many times. This card is basically very, very poweful, but, of course, it still isn't as power as its brother -- Blue Eyes White Dragon 9 Whale Thing ***** I don't know its proper name, but I do know Maku uses it. I'm guessing this guy is a fusion card. Firstly, it has 3055 Attack and 2800 Defense. That's right -- it can defeat the Blue Eyes White Dragon. 10 Dark Elf **** This card uses only four stars, and it can deal 2000+ Damage. However, it only has 800 defense -- your asking, how come it received such a high rating? It is only at level 4(****), and it has 2000 damage; this means you don't have to sacrifice anything. So, in times when you're being pounded into the ground, summon this guy to fight back. 11 Exodia The Forbidden One * This card is one of the worst (User Submitted) cards he has ever seen. In order to use the Effect that comes with the card(s), you must draw the five(5) Exodia parts. And when this Duelist was playing, it took him 35 turns to draw all five neccessary cards. 12 Change of Heart ***** Ahh...the card the opponent used so, so many times to *^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^% ...more critiques to come! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Deck Showcase ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here's where you can find some preset decks for your use. NOTE: I may receive questions which I can not answer, so if you see a question without an answer, you can answer for me and you'll get credit for it as well. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 1)How Come I Can't Duel Anymore? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Because you've reached exceeded your Deck Capacity. To solve this problem, go to "Edit Decks" and take out cards with high Card Costs. Also, it could be because you do not have 40 cards in your deck. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 1.1)Who Has The Highest Attack Rating That's Not A Fusion Card? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= That would be the Blue Eyes White Dragon -- "weighing" in at 3000 Attack. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 1.2)Why Can't I Use Any Magic/Add-On Cards? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= You'll have to be at a higher level first. If you can't use it now, keep dueling 'till you can. (This is just a guess) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 1.3)I Keep On Losing -- Why Is This? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Probably because you're fighting more than you can handle. What does that mean, you say? Well, if you only have 1000 Attack/Defense Creatures and you want to beat, say, Yami Yugi. You're going to go through absolute hell. Also, you may want to train a little more at Stage 1 so you can have some good cards. Then when you're ready, go back to face the better challengers. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 1.4)How can I Fuse cards? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= When you're going to summon a card, put the summoned card on the card in the active area that you want to fuse. For example, you want to get the Black Summoned Skull(Red Eyes Black Dragon + Summoned Skull), and you have Red Eyes Black Dragon in the field. Now you draw the Summoned Skull and you want to fuse it with the Red Eyes Black Dragon. To do this, pick Summoned Skull to be summoned, and when you're allowed to pick where you want to place it on the field, put the Summoned Skull where the Red Eyes Black Dragon is. *^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^%*^% If you have a question that needs to be answered, drop me a line at: chaosdemon007@yahoo.ca =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ C O N T A C T I N G I N F O . =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ I don't like emails, because I always end up with too many. Sure, that doesn't sound like a bad thing, but when you received dozens and dozens of emails asking things that are already written in the FAQ, you get angry pretty quickly. So, when sending an email, please try to follow these guidelines: (The more of them you follow, the better chance of getting a reply!) 1. Please, please, please look through the document before to see if your I already answered your question. o ^^^!!! 2. Suggestions are always welcomed. o That's right, if you have suggestions/contributions, send 'em in! 3. Crticisim is welcomed too... o Only constructive criticisim is accepted. And no, "Your FAQ sucks," is not contructive. You should tell me how I can improve my FAQ. 4. Don't ask anything about the walkthrough o If it's not-complete, then chances are I haven't beaten the game yet. So, I won't be able to answer your question. 5. If you send a contribution, you probably won't get a reply back o Yes, I have many emails that need to be read, so consider yourself thanked. If you contribute something, I really, really do appreciate it. chaosdemon007@yahoo.ca =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ C R E D I T S =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ Jeff "CJayC" Veasy: For posting this [great] FAQ!
