I created this faq because I love this game more than the original pokémon. Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak, Hal, and Jupiter sure did one hell of a job creating this one. The rumble is better than the one found in Top Gear Pocket so you will have fun with this one. Pikachu even say Pika! Which is great. I have added the list of my pokémon that I have caught. I just got back from vacation so on the trip down I had plenty of time to play Pokémon Pinball and I have caught many more Pokémon. Pokémon I've Caught as of Monday, July 12th Bulbasaur Ivysaur Venusaur Charmander Charmeleon Charizard Caterpie Metapod Weedle Kakuna Pidgey Pidgeotto Rattata Raticate Spearow Fearow Ekans Arbok Pikachu Raichu Sandshrew Sandslash Nidoran(f) Nidorina Nidoran(m) Jigglypuff Zubat Oddish Gloom Diglett Meowth Persian Mankey Abra Kadabra Machop Machoke Machamp Bellsprout Tentacool Geodude Slowpoke Slowbro Magnemite Doduo Shellder Gastly Haunter Drowzee Krabby Kingler Voltorb Electrode Cubone Marowak Hitmonlee Hitmonchan Koffing Staryu Starmie Mr. Mime Jynx Magmar Eevee Kabuto Snorlax Articuno Pokémon I've Seen Butterfree Pidgeot Tentacruel My high score So far my high score is 712,451,700 2. How To Play ******************** Starting the game: Insert the game with the power off then hit the on switch to start your game. Title Screen: The title screen comes up with three options. *Start Game *Pokédex *Options Start Game: After selecting this it gives you a choice of the Red or Blue table which I will explain a little later in this faq. (The red one is better) After selecting which one you want the game will start. Pokédex: This is one of the neatest features of the game. While playing the game you can catch pokémon and they become yours. All 151 pokémon are in the game. Yes even Mew makes an appearance. After you catch a pokémon you can view their height, weight, and little write-up about them found in the original Pokémon game. This feature also allows you to hear each of the pokémon's cry. Options: Under Options there is 3 things to choose from. Rumble- Can be turned on or off. Key Configuration- Change the controls of the game. They are better if left alone. Sound Test- Lets you hear all the Background Music(BGM) or Sound Effects(SE). Playing The Game: Controls: Left Flipper- Left on control pad. Right Flipper- A button Ball Launch- A button Left Tilt- Down on Control Pad Right Tilt- B button Upper Tilt- Select Menu- Start Game Play: To start the game press A to launch the Pokéball. After the ball has been launched use the flippers to keep the ball from falling through the hole at the bottom of the screen. 3.The Red Field ***************** The red field, in my opinion is the better field in the game. After launching you ball you can see Ditto blocking a hole which is the evolution cave where you can evolve your pokémon that you have caught during the game. After your ball drop down you can see two Digletts on both sides of the field. There is a Pikachu located on both sides also only one appears at a time and they can save your ball. If you have catch'em arrows lighted up on the loops you can catch a pokémon. Shoot the ball into Bellsprout's mouth to light up a shadow of a pokémon. Hit the Voltorbs about 6 times at the top to finish off the silhouette of a pokémon. After that hit the pokémon 4 more times and it's yours. 4. The Blue Field ***************** The blue field is the tougher of the two because of the dash arrow which constantly changes the direction of where your ball will go. As with the red field there is a Pikachu kickback. Also to catch pokémon on this field you must put the ball in Cloyster. After that hit the Shellders about six times to finish the silhouette of the pokémon. Then hit it 4 more times to get it. 5. Capturing Pokémon ****************** Steps: 1. Pass through the right loop. Each time you pass through it, one catch'em Arrow will light up. (When you start the game, two of the arrow are lit already.) 2. Once two or more arrows are lit up, you can start catching pokémon. (You can catch low appearance pokémon when three arrows are lit up.) 3. When two of three of the arrows are lit up, shoot the ball into Bellsprout or Cloyster's mouth and when the ball comes back out you have the time in the upper left hand corner to catch the pokémon. 4. A shadow of a pokémon you can catch is shown in the middle panel. 5. Now hit the Voltorbs or the Shellders at the top of the screen about five or six times to uncover the whole pokémon. 6. Once the whole pokémon is uncovered Hit the pokémon until the whole word "CATCH!" is uncovered. 7. Hit the pokémon one more time to catch it. 8. The data for the pokémon will be put into the pokédex. 6. Evolving Pokémon ********************** Steps: 1. Shoot the ball through the outside loop to light up an evolution arrow. 2. When all three arrows are lit hit it to Ditto's evolution cave on the red field or Slowpoke's mouth. (You must have a pokémon or evolution mode will not begin.) 3. There are seven times of evolution items. The type that appears depends on which pokémon you are trying to evolve. The Types are: Thunder Stone Moon Stone Fire Stone Leaf Stone Water Stone Game Link Cable Experience 4. Choose which of your pokémon you want to evolve. You have two minutes to evolve the pokémon.(If the pokémon has a star besides it's name you cannot choose it.) 5. Several arrows will appear at the field. A prize is hidden near one of the arrows. 6. When you hit the prize an evolution item will appear on the field. Touch it and you will get the item. 7. If you hit miss all the arrows will disappear for ten seconds. During the time you can't find any items however if you shoot the ball through the loop all the arrows will reappear. 8. After you get three evolution items shoot your ball into the cave in the middle of the board. 7. Scoring **************** Double, Triple, or Quadruple your score- By hitting the switches above the bumpers you can double your score and so on. After hitting the switches you ball will change in to a different pokéball. The are four types of pokéballs you can get that multiply your score.
