Anyways, I've completed the Pokedex section, since everyone has been e-mailing me about it. I'm not sure when the walkthrough will be completed, but I'll finish it when I have time. Most people didn't have too much trouble, completing the game anyways. School tends to take way too much time, and I can't really spare the time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- %%%Credits%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Without the help and contribution of these people, this FAQ could not have been possible. - Meowth346 (http://start.at/pokemonforever) for allowing me to use some of his information from his excellent breeding guide. - White Cat (white_cat@white-cat.net) for the moves learned, and TM/HM compatibility. - Samus Wrighter (jeckhyde@ix.netcom.com) for a correction and additions to the room items. - The OSheaman (OSheaman@onebox.com) for corrections in the item list. - Jello299 (Jello299@aol.com) for the speed up credit trick. - CTChere4u (CTChere4u@aol.com) for corrections on the Rhyhorn/Rhydon trade. - MDCLAUSON (MDCLAUSON@aol.com) for corrections to the Gastly series. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% -------------------------------------- %%%Table of Contents%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% I. However, there have been pictures from Pokemon Crystal showing that you can catch Celebi, we'll just have to wait and see. Q. Are there any other Pokemon I cannot catch in either version? A. Yes, you will need to use the Time Capsule to get these Pokemon: Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Omanyte Omastar, Kabuto, Kabutops, Mewtwo, Mew Q. Can I play Pokemon Gold/Silver on Pokemon Stadium? A. No, if you look on the back of the box it says it right there. Q. What is and when is DST? A. DST stands for Daylight Saving Time. I won't go into the actual story of DST, but it essentially says that time moves up one hour and back one hour on certain days. In the US, DST is as follows: - begins at 2AM on the first Sunday of April, and clocks move up 1 hour - ends at 2AM on the last Sunday of October, and clocks move back 1 hour Note: There are some places in the US that do no observe DST, and some countries that observe DST have theirs on different dates. You will have to check the place where you live at to see if it observes DST. Q. Why is there a man blocking the door to the Gym in Blackthorn City? A. You forgot to beat Team Rocket in Goldenrod City. Go back and beat them. ****************************************** III. Walkthrough ****************************************** +--------------------+ | Before you begin | +--------------------+ When you first begin the game it will ask you to set the clock. The clock goes from O-11 AM to and 0-11 PM. Once you set that the next thing you have to set would be the minutes, 0-59. Once you set the clock you will be greeted by Professor Oak. You will be asked to select your name, do so and you will begin your journey. The Controls- The controls are basically the same as the Red/Blue/Yellow versions of Pokemon. A Button- Selects a command B Button- Cancels command Start- Brings up the menu. Select- Arrange items, moves; use an item - Pressing start will bring up a menu just like in the other Pokemon games. Pokedex: Pokemon dictionary (you get this later) - The Pokedex seems to be arranged weird at first, but press Select and arrange the Pokedex in a more familiar way to everyone. There's even a search function! Pokemon: Check out your Pokemon's stats and skills. Note the new commands, Move and Item. Move- Allows you to place a Pokemon move where you want it. Item- Allows you to give or take an item from a Pokemon. The status screen has been improved as well. The purple box(the first one for those with the original Gameboy) shows the general status, the green box (2nd) shows the moves and items that Pokemon currently has, and the blue box shows your actual stats. A new stat has also been added Special Attack and Special Defense. Pack: This is where all of your items are stored. Items Balls Key Items TM/HM Pokegear: Map Card A cell phone -Get to call people and ask for advice Radio Card Status: Status of your character and badges collected Save: Saves game Options: Option menu Exit Battle Menu: Same as the original Pokemon Attack Item Pokemon Run New things in Gold/Silver: One of the new features of Gold/Silver is the time feature. The game will keep track of real world time, and things in the game will change accordingly. For example if you play at 3:00 PM, the game will be at 3 PM. If you play at 8 PM, the game will be at 8 PM, and the game will change the scenery from day to night. This is important to note because some Pokemon will only come out at night or in the day, and some events will only happen at night or in the day. The times are as followed: +-----------------------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |----------------|---------------|--------------| | 4AM 9:59AM | 10AM 5:59PM | 6PM 3:59AM | +-----------------------------------------------+ The game also keeps track of the what day it is, Sunday through Saturday, and like the time feature some things will happen on certain days. Another new feature is that Pokemon now come in Male and Female versions, just like the Nidorans. This feature allows you to breed two Pokemon (a.k.a make babies), and usually come out with a stronger Pokemon. Also note that not all Pokemon have a gender. Pokecenter: You will also notice that the Pokecenter has been entirely redesigned. The healing is on the first floor while he trades and battles are on the second floor. The first lady handles the trading, the second one handles the battle, and the last lady handles the Time Capsule (Note that you will not be able to use the Time Capsule just yet). The Time Capsule allows you to trade the Pokemon from the Red/Blue/Yellow versions to the Gold/Silver versions. There are some restrictions however: - You cannot trade any of the new Pokemon - You cannot trade any of the old Pokemon that has a new move - You cannot trade any of the old Pokemon with an item Mystery Gift option: You will see this option as you progress further into the game. It allows you to send and receive gifts from other Pokemon Gold/Silver players. Note that this can only be done with one person once a day, up to five people for one day; and it can only be done with the Gameboy Color. This option also works with the Pokemon Pikachu 2 GS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- T h e W o r l d o f J o h t o ---------------------------------------------------------------------- +--------------------+ New Bark Town +--------------------+ Pokemon found in New Bark Town: # 152 Chikorita- Gold, Silver (Only one) # 155 Cyndaquil- Gold, Silver (Only one) # 158 Totodile- Gold, Silver (Only one) Items found in New Bark Town: Everstone Master Ball Pokegear You will find yourself in your bedroom. Head downstairs and your mother will stop you, saying that Prof. Elm was looking for you. She will give you your Pokegear, and then she will tell you to set the date on your Pokegear, you will also have to set whether or not it is Daylight Saving. She will also ask you whether or not you know how to use a phone, (you should know!), oh she meant in the game, uh, just say no and just listen to what she says, mother knows best. Also, if DST ends or begins you can always go back to your mom and have the clock moved to the proper hour. Now head out of your house, and towards Professor Elm's lab. Elm will ask you to head to Mr. Pokemon's place and retrieve a rare item for him, since you have no choice you might as well go. Prof Elm will also give you one of three new Pokemon species: # 152 Chikorita- The Grass Pokemon # 155 Cyndaquil- The Fire Pokemon # 158 Totodile- The Water Pokemon *Note- There is no right or wrong Pokemon to choose. Just choose the Pokemon that you want. After choosing your Pokemon, Prof Elm will give you his phone number and send you on your way. Before leaving Elm's lab, one of his assistants will give you a Potion. Also note that the Pokemon you choose has a Berry attached to them. This item will automatically be used if your Pokemon is low on health, a very handy thing to have. Before heading out of town I suggest building up the levels of your Pokemon. If you need to heal, just head back to Prof Elm's Lab and use his machine to heal yourself. Also note that you will not be able to catch any Pokemon at this time, so don't worry too much about it. Also, the battle menu has been improved, it looks a lot sleeker and they added a blue bar underneath your health, which helps you to know when you are about to level up. +------------------------------+ Route 29 & Cherrygrove City +------------------------------+ Pokemon found on Route 29: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 16 Pidgey | G, S | G, S | --- | # 19 Rattata | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 161 Sentrent | G, S | G, S | --- | # 163 Hoothoot | --- | --- | G, S | +------------------------------+ Items found on Route 29: Berry Pink Bow Potion Items found in Cherrygrove City: Map Card Mystic Water Route 29 is a pretty mild and peaceful route. There are no trainers here so you have very little to worry about. The people are not really worth talking too, unless you haven't played Pokemon before. All they do is give you some basic information, which should be familiar to anyone that has played this game before. Along the way you should see a checking station that separates Route 29 and 46. Ignore this place for now and keep heading left. Also take note of the strange tree you will be passing by. If you search it you will find a Berry in it, and as far as I can tell it regenerates every day, so if you need a quick healing item, just check these trees. Keep heading to the left of and you will eventually find Cherrygrove City. Talk to the old man that you see near the Entrance of the City and he will give you the 10-cent tour of the town. He will then give you the Map Card, which will be added into your Pokegear. The Map Card allows you to check on the World Map anytime you want. Just access your Pokegear and the map option will be right there. Also note that you will not be able to buy any Pokeballs from the Poke store, but you will be able to soon enough. Also the Pokecenter has been redesigned and if you need help on some of the functions just look at the Before you Begin section. One more note, if you come back after you've taught a Pokemon Surf, the man will give you the Mystic Water item. +----------------------+ Route 30 & New Bark +----------------------+ Pokemon found on Route 30: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 10 Caterpie | G | G | --- | # 11 Metapod | G | G | --- | # 13 Weedle | S | S | --- | # 14 Kakuna | S | S | --- | # 16 Pidgey | G, S | G, S | --- | # 19 Rattata | --- | --- | G, S | # 163 Hoothoot | --- | --- | G, S | # 165 Ledyba | S | --- | --- | # 167 Spinarak | --- | --- | G | +------------------------------+ Items found on Route 30: Berry x2 EXP Share PSNCure Berry From Cherrygrove City head North to Route 30, you will find Mr. Pokemon's house at the very top. Also be sure to pick up the berries from the strange looking trees and one from a nice citizen. When you enter Mr. Pokemon's house he will give you the Mystery Egg. You will also meet Professor Oak there and he will give you the Pokedex. (Also note that if you return to Mr. Pokemon's house with the Red Scale, he will give you the EXP Share item). Now leave Mr. Pokemon's house. You will now get a call from Prof Elm telling you to return to his lab. Before heading there I suggest healing your Pokemon and giving it a Berry. The person you saw near Prof Elm's lab will come up to you and challenge you to a match. After you defeat him head to Prof Elm's lab. There you will find that one of Prof Elm's Pokemon has been stolen. The police will then ask you what is the name of the guy you just fought (you can name him). Prof Elm will then set you on a journey to become a Pokemon trainer, he will then tell you to go visit your mother. As you leave the assistant will give you a Poke Ball. Now you can start catching Pokemon. When you talk to your mom she will then start saving your money for you. It's a good idea to place some money in here, just in case. Your mom will also by things with your money, which you can then use to decorate your room. Now head off to Violet City. -------Rival--------------- Trainer: Rival Pokemon: Chikorita or Cyndaquil or Totodile Lv.5 Prize- $300 This battle can be very easy or a bit hard, depending on how you raise your Pokemon. His Pokemon will have the type advantage over you, but you can get the Level advantage over him. Since the Pokemon's type you choose will be weak against his, just use Normal attacks and you'll win in no time. --------------------------- +------------------------------+ Route 30, 31 & the Dark Cave +------------------------------+ Pokemon found on Route 31: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 10 Caterpie | G | G | --- | # 11 Metapod | G | G | --- | # 13 Weedle | S | S | --- | # 14 Kakuna | S | S | --- | # 16 Pidgey | G, S | G, S | --- | # 19 Rattata | --- | --- | G, S | # 69 Bellsprout | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 163 Hoothoot | --- | --- | G, S | # 165 Ledyba | S | --- | --- | # 167 Spinarak | --- | --- | G | +------------------------------+ Items found on Route 31: Antidote Bitter Berry Poke Ball TM 50 Trainers fought on Route 30 & 31: ----------------------------------------------------------- Joey (Can get phone #) | Mikey Pokemon: Rattata Lv.4 | Pokemon: Pidgey Lv.2 Prize: $64 | Rattata Lv.4 | Prize: $64 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Don | Wade (Can get phone #) Pokemon: Caterpie Lv.3 | Pokemon: Caterpie Lv.2 Caterpie Lv.3 | Caterpie Lv.2 Prize: $48 | Caterpie Lv.2 | Weedle Lv.3 | Prize: $32 ----------------------------------------------------------- Pokemon found in the Dark Cave: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 41 Zubat | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 42 Golbat * | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 74 Geodude | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 75 Graveler * | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 206 Dunsparce | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ * Golbat and Graveler appear in the deeper parts of the Dark Cave. Items found in the Dark Cave: Potion Now that you have acquired some Poke Balls, you should start catching the Pokemon you've been seeing around. For players new to the Pokemon game a guy on Route 29 will show you how to catch Pokemon. Be sure to check during the Morning, Day, and Night for any Pokemon to catch. Now head back to Route 30 but be careful, you will start to face trainers and although these trainers are very easy, it always helps to be prepared. You will also notice that when you beat some trainers they will want to swap phone numbers with you. Some trainers will give out useful information and some will just utter nonsense to you. You can delete their number whenever you choose and store it back into your Pokegear by talking to them once again. As you come up to Route 31 you will notice the Dark Cave. Enter it and you will notice that it is dark, hence the name Dark Cave. There isn't much you can do here at the moment, but you can catch some Pokemon here while you are at it. When you are finished head left to Violet City, be sure to take note of the fat guy near the berry tree. You will be visiting him again later on in the game. +----------------------------+ Violet City & Sprout Tower +----------------------------+ Pokemon found in Violet City: # 95 Onix- Gold, Silver (Trade) Items found in Violet City: PP Up PRZCure Berry Rare Candy TM 31 Trainers in Violet City Gym: ----------------------------------------------------------- Abe | Rod Pokemon: Spearow Lv.9 | Pokemon: Pidgey Lv.7 Prize: $216 | Pidgey Lv.7 | Prize: $168 ------------------------------------------------------------ Pokemon found in Sprout Tower: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 19 Rattata | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 92 Gastly | --- | --- | G, S | +------------------------------+ Items found in Sprout Tower: Escape Rope HM05 Parlyz Heal Potion X Defend Trainers fought in Sprout Tower: ----------------------------------------------------------- Nico | Chow Pokemon: Bellsprout Lv.3 | Pokemon: Bellsprout Lv.3 Bellsprout Lv.3 | Bellsprout Lv.3 Bellsprout Lv.3 | Bellsprout Lv.3 Prize: $96 | Prize: $96 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Edmond | Jin Pokemon: Bellsprout Lv.3 | Pokemon: Bellsprout Lv.6 Bellsprout Lv.3 | Prize: $192 Bellsprout Lv.3 | Prize: $96 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Neal | Troy Pokemon: Bellsprout Lv.6 | Pokemon: Bellsprout Lv.7 Prize: $192 | Hoothoot Lv.7 | Prize: $224 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Li | Pokemon: Bellsprout Lv.7 | Bellsprout Lv.7 | Hoothoot Lv.10 | Prize: $320 | HM5 | ----------------------------------------------------------- The first thing you want to do in Violet City is to beat the gym leader, Falkner. Falkner's gym is centered around flying Pokemon, so your best bet at easily beating Falkner is a Rock type Pokemon. You can either catch a Rock type Pokemon from the Dark Cave, or you can trade one of the trainers in Violet City for an Onix. If you need the experience you can battle in the Sprout Tower or just level up in Route 30 or 31. Either way you will want to visit Sprout Tower. The trainers aren't very hard, and considering their low levels, and the fact that trained Pokemon give out more Exp. this would be the best place to level up before facing Falkner. Also note that the prize at the top is HM05, Flash. After defeating Falkner you will receive a call from Professor Elm. He will tell you to meet his assistant in the Poke Center. Head there and speak to the assistant. He will give you the egg that you originally had and will now let you keep it, be sure to have an empty slot in your team or the assistant will not give you the egg. The egg will hatch later on in the game. When the egg does hatch go back to Prof. Elm and show it to him. He will give you an Everstone for you troubles. On another note, if you return to Violet after learning Surf, you will find a PP Up and a Rare Candy on the other side of the body of water. -------Falkner------------- Trainer: Falkner Pokemon: Pidgey Lv.7 Pidgeotto Lv.9 Prize- Zephyr Badge $900 TM 31 If you've caught a Geodude and raised it to about Level 11 you should have little problems against Falkner. The only thing you will have to worry about is Pidgey and Pidgeotto's Mud-Slap Attack which lowers a Pokemon's accuracy. However, a couple of Rock Throws will easily take care of Pidgey and Pidgeotto. --------------------------- +---------------+ Ruins of Alph +---------------+ Pokemon found in the Ruins of Alph: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 201 Unown | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ Pokemon found outside of the Ruins of Alph: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 177 Natu | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 235 Smeargle | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ Trainers fought outside the Ruins of Alph: ----------------------------------------------------------- Nathan | Pokemon: Girafarig Lv.26 | Prize: $832 | ----------------------------------------------------------- Items found in the Ruins of Alph: Unown Pokedex Now that you've defeated Falkner a new event will now occur. There will now be seven people scattered around Johto. These people appear only on one day, and can be a bit hard to find, but they are worth tracking down. The first person you can meet is Tuscany, who appears on Tuesday at Route 29. Find her and she will give you the Pink Bow, an item that increase the power of Normal-Type moves. Now you can begin your journey for the second badge. You will not be able to get through Route 36, the upper-left corner of Violet City, so head down into Route 32. Before going through Route 32 head to the Ruins of Alph. If you go into the bottom ruins you will find nothing of interest, at least not yet; in order to release the Pokemon here you will have to solve the puzzle in another cave nearby. The puzzle is a little difficult, mainly due to some of the pieces looking very similar, but a couple of trial and errors and you will get the puzzle in no time. (Hint: It's a picture of a Kabuto) When you complete the puzzle you will fall and find yourself in the Alph Ruin, and you will now meet a Pokemon called Unown. You will also notice that every Unown looks different. Well there are 26 variations to Unown (one for each letter of the Alphabet), and if you catch at least three Unown, one of the scientists will give you the Unown Pokedex. The Unown Pokedex allows you to see all the variations of Unown, and which ones you've caught. Later, return to the Ruins of Alph when you have learned Surf and Strength. You will find more puzzles to complete. Two of the puzzles are only accessible by going through Union Cave. Also note that there are two Pokemon here, Natu and Smeargle, for your catching pleasure. The puzzles are pictures of Ho-oh, Omanyte, and Aerodactyl. +------------------------+ Route 32 & Union Cave +------------------------+ Pokemon found in Route 32: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 19 Rattata | G, S | G, S | G | # 23 Ekans | S | S | S | # 41 Zubat | G, S | --- | G, S | # 69 Bellsprout | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 179 Mareep | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 187 Hoppip | G, S | G, S | --- | # 194 Wooper | G, S | --- | G, S | +------------------------------+ Items found in Route 32: Great Ball Miracle Seed Poison Barb Potion Old Rod TM 05 Trainers fought on Route 32: ----------------------------------------------------------- Albert | Liz (Can get phone #) Pokemon: Rattata Lv.6 | Pokemon: Nidoran (F) Lv.9 Zubat Lv.8 | Prize: $180 Prize: $128 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Henry | Justin Pokemon: Poliwag Lv.8 | Pokemon: Magikarp Lv.5 Poliwag Lv.8 | Magikarp Lv.5 Prize: $320 | Magikarp Lv.5 | Magikarp Lv.15 | Prize: $200 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Ralph (Can get phone #) | Roland Pokemon: Goldeen Lv.10 | Pokemon: Nidoran (M) Prize: $ 400 | Prize: $180 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Gordon | Peter Pokemon: Wooper Lv.10 | Pokemon: Pidgey Lv.6 Prize: $160 | Pidgey Lv.6 | Spearow Lv.8 | Prize: $192 ----------------------------------------------------------- Pokemon found in Union Cave: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 19 Rattata | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 20 Raticate * | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 27 Sandshrew | G | G | G | # 41 Zubat | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 42 Golbat * | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 74 Geodude | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 95 Onix | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ * Raticate and Golbat only appear on the lower levels of Union Cave Items found in Union Cave: Awakening Elixer Great Ball Hyper Potion Potion TM 39 X Attack X Defend Trainers fought in Union Cave: ----------------------------------------------------------- Daniel | Russell Pokemon: Onix Lv.11 | Pokemon: Geodude Lv.4 Prize: $352 | Geodude Lv.6 | Geodude Lv.8 | Prize: $256 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Bill | Larry Pokemon: Koffing Lv.6 | Pokemon: Slowpoke Lv.10 Koffing Lv.6 | Prize: $600 Prize: $288 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Ray | Andrew Pokemon: Vulpix | Pokemon: Marowak Lv.24 Prize: $432 | Marowak Lv.24 | Prize: $1440 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Emma | Calvin Pokemon: Poliwhirl | Pokemon: Kangaskhan Lv.26 Prize: $1344 | Prize: $1560 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Nick | Gwen Pokemon: Charmander Lv.26 | Pokemon: Eevee Lv.26 Squirtle Lv.26 | Flareon Lv.22 Bulbasaur Lv.26 | Vaporeon Lv.22 Prize: $1248 | Jolteon Lv.22 | Prize: $1056 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Leonard | Phillip Pokemon: Geodude Lv.23 | Pokemon: Geodude Lv.23 Machop Lv.25 | Geodude Lv.23 Prize: $800 | Graveler Lv.25 | Prize: $736 ----------------------------------------------------------- Now that you are finished visiting the Alph Ruins, head down Route 32. Continue your way down and be sure defeat every trainer you see on the way. If you want, be sure to come back after you've learned Cut. There is a man who will give you TM 05, Roar. As you make your way down you will run into a guy trying to sell you a Slowpoke tail. Since you will never be able to carry that much money with you at once just say no and move on. Be sure to visit the Poke Center and talk to the guy standing near the counter. He will give you an Old Rod that will let you start fishing for Pokemon hiding in the water. Also note that on Friday, Frieda will appear. She will give you the Poison Barb, and can be found right above the Poke Center. After you finish with Route 32 head to Union Cave. There isn't much to do in Union Cave, only a few items, a couple of trainers, and one new Pokemon for Gold players, or two if you didn't trade for the Onix. Note, that when you have obtained Strength and Surf you should return back to Union Cave and explore the lower levels. Talk to the Poke Ball maker Kurt, in the upper-left corner of town and he will inform you of Team Rocket and their plot with the Slowpoke. Head back to the Slowpoke Well you passed earlier and enter. Here you will find a couple of Rockets holding the Slowpoke captive. Defeat all four of them and Kurt will return all the Slowpokes back to town. Kurt will reward you with a Lure Ball, and will now begin making his special Poke Balls for you. From there rest up if need be and challenge Bugsy, Azalea's Gym Leader. The gym mainly consists of bugs, most of which are barley a threat. The only one that may prove to give you some difficulty is Bugsy's Scyther. After defeating Bugsy, be sure to heal up at the Poke Center. You will meet up with your Rival once again, and it pays to be prepared. Note, when you have learned Surf and Strength, return to the Slowpoke Well. In the lower levels you will find TM 18, and a guy who will give you the King's Rock. The item used to evolve Slowpoke into Slowking and Poliwhirl into Politoed. ---------Bugsy------------- Trainer: Bugsy Pokemon: Metapod Lv.14 Kakuna Lv.14 Scyther Lv.16 Prize- Hive Badge $1600 TM 49 Bugsy's first two Pokemon should pose no threat to you whatsoever. The only thing Bugsy's first two Pokemon can accomplish is to give you status ailments, but that's about it. The Scyther on the other hand is a different story. Its main attack, Fury Cutter, grows stronger after every turn, so try to dispose of it as quickly as possible. A Pidgey with Gust, and at similar levels can dispose of her entire roster with very little trouble. --------------------------- ---------Rival------------- Trainer: Rival Pokemon: Gastly Lv.12 Zubat Lv.14 Bayleef or Quilava or Croconaw Lv.16 Prize- $960 Your rival should pose very little trouble. Croconaw can be taken out with Mareep or Flaaffy. Quilava can be taken out by a Wooper. A Bayleef can be taken out with a Flying type, so a Pidgey or Spearow will make short work of it. --------------------------- +------------------------+ Ilex Forest, Route 34 +------------------------+ Pokemon found in Ilex Forest: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 10 Caterpie | G | G | --- | # 11 Metapod | G | G | --- | # 13 Weedle | S | S | --- | # 41 Zubat | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 43 Oddish | --- | --- | G, S | # 46 Paras | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ Items found in Ilex Forest: HM 01 Revive TM 02 TM 12 Pokemon found in Route 34: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 19 Rattata | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 63 Abra | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 96 Drowzee | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 132 Ditto | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ Items found in Route 34: Soft Sand Trainers fought in Route 34: ----------------------------------------------------------- Samuel | Brandon Pokemon: Rattata Lv.7 | Pokemon: Snubbull Lv.13 Sandshrew Lv.10 | Prize: $1040 Spearow Lv.8 | Spearow Lv.8 | Prize: $128 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Gina (Can get phone #) | Ian Pokemon: Hoppip Lv.9 | Pokemon: Mankey Lv.10 Hoppip Lv.9 | Diglett Lv.12 Bulbasaur Lv.12 | Prize: $192 Prize: $240 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Keith | Todd (Can get phone #) Pokemon: Growlithe Lv.17 | Pokemon: Psyduck Lv.14 Prize: $680 | Prize: $280 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Irene | Jenn Pokemon: Goldeen Lv.22 | Pokemon: Staryu Lv.24 Seaking Lv.24 | Starmie Lv.26 Prize: $1152 | Prize: $1248 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Kate | Pokemon: Shellder Lv.26 | Cloyster Lv.28 | Prize: $1344 | ----------------------------------------------------------- In Ilex Forest you will meet the apprentice of the Charcoal maker. Chase the bird so he runs TOWARDS the apprentice. When you've done that you will be rewarded with HM 01. HM 01 has the skill Cut, and is the skill that you will need to get past Ilex. Be sure to go back to the apprentice; he will give you a Charcoal to show his gratitude. Also be sure to get TM 02, from the lone guy in Ilex. TM 02 contains Headbutt, and is the only way you will catch some Pokemon. As you exit the forest, be sure to speak to the lady behind the counter. She will give you TM 12, Sweet Scent. After exiting the checking station, you will find yourself in Route 34. This is an excellent place to gain levels, plus you will start finding some Psychic Pokemon and the Pokemon Pimp Ditto (^_^), and this is where the Day-Care center can be found. You may want to remember where this place is, especially since this is the place where you will be breeding your Pokemon. Also note that the Policeman guarding Route 34 will attack you at night if you talk to him. Also, when you have learned Surf be sure to return to Route 34. There are quite a few things of interest here, and with some of the services offered, you will probably be coming back here quite often. This is where you will find a bicycle, and the guy will give you one for free! You will also find a lady that will tell you how happy you're Pokemon, useful for those Pokemon that need to be happy in order to evolve. You will also be able to get the Radio Card attachment for your Pokegear. Just head to the Radio Tower and answer their questions (Yes, Yes, No, Yes, No) for the Radio Card. There is also a Game Corner, and they offer a Dratini as a prize. Nice to have a Pokemon that takes awhile to level up near the beginning of the game. You will also find Bill's house. Although Bill isn't home at the moment, be sure to visit. You will get his phone number and Bill will inform you if your box is about to be filled. Saving you some grief when trying to catch a Pokemon and you learn that your box is full. Now go and visit Goldenrod's Department store. Just like Celadon there are plenty of shops, including a shop that sells stat boosters. When you reach the 5th floor be sure to talk to the little girl near the stairs. She will activate the Mystery Gift option, and the next time you start your game you will see an option for it. There is also a guy that will also ask to trade a Drowzee for his Machop, a pretty useful Pokemon for the upcoming gym. Plus there is a lady that only appears on Sundays but she will give you a TM based on your Pokemon's mood. After doing all that head to the gym. The Pokemon here are all Normal type, thus if you traded for the Machop, you will be in great shape for this gym. When you beat Whitney, she will at first be too upset to give you the badge; but if you speak to the trainer that is right below, Whitney will give you your badge. After beating Whitney head to the upper- right corner of Goldenrod, a lady there will give you a Squirtbottle. Also note that when you exit Goldenrod you can talk to a guard who will ask you to deliver some mail to a friend of his. The guy can be found in Route 31 and he will give you TM 50 for your troubles. The guard will also give you an HP Up for doing him the favor. ---------Whitney----------- Trainer: Whitney Pokemon: Clefairy Lv.18 Miltank Lv.20 Prize- Plain Badge $2000 TM 45 Whitney's Pokemon will fall fast to Fighting type, so if you traded for a Machop you will be in great shape for this battle. Her Clefairy mainly uses Metronome, a pretty random move that may or may not hurt you. A coupe of hits and it should be done in no time. Miltank on the other hand can be a pain. It uses Rollout, a move that gets stronger after every turn and the damage can really add up. It also has a healing move, so to save yourself some trouble try leveling up your Machop to around levels 15-20. --------------------------- +----------------------------+ Route 35 & National Park +----------------------------+ Pokemon found in Route 35: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 16 Pidgey | G, S | G, S | --- | # 29 Nidoran (F) | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 32 Nidoran (M) | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 63 Abra | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 96 Drowzee | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 132 Ditto | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 163 Hoothoot | --- | --- | G, S | # 193 Yanma | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ Items found in Route 35: Mystery Berry TM 04 Trainers fought in Route 35: ----------------------------------------------------------- Kim | Elliot Pokemon: Vulpix Lv.15 | Pokemon: Sandshrew Lv.13 Prize: $300 | Marill Lv.15 | Prize: $300 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Brooke | Ivan Pokemon: Pikachu Lv.16 | Pokemon: Diglett Lv.10 Prize: $320 | Diglett Lv.14 | Zubat Lv.10 | Prize: $280 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Walt | Irwin (Can get phone #) Pokemon: Magmar Lv.11 | Pokemon: Voltorb Lv.2 Magmar Lv.13 | Voltorb Lv.6 Prize: $624 | Voltorb Lv.10 | Voltorb Lv.14 | Prize: $560 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Arnie (Can get phone #) | Bryan Pokemon: Venonat Lv.15 | Pokemon: Pidgey Lv.12 Prize: $240 | Pidgeotto Lv.14 | Prize: $336 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Dirk | Pokemon: Growlithe Lv.14 | Growlithe Lv.14 | Prize: $560 | ----------------------------------------------------------- Pokemon found in National Park: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 10 Caterpie | G | G | --- | # 11 Metapod | G | G | --- | # 12 Butterfree | --- | --- | --- | # 13 Weedle | S | S | --- | # 14 Kakuna | S | S | --- | # 15 Beedrill | --- | --- | --- | # 16 Pidgey | G, S | G, S | --- | # 46 Paras | --- | --- | --- | # 48 Venonat | --- | --- | --- | # 123 Scyther | --- | --- | --- | # 127 Pinsir | --- | --- | --- | # 163 Hoothoot | --- | --- | G, S | # 191 Sunkern | --- | G, S | --- | +------------------------------+ Note- The above list shows what Pokemon can be found at National Park and during the Bug Catching Contest. There is one trainer who will inform you of some rare Pokemon showing up from time to time. He can be found near the grassy area, close to the entrance of Route 36. Also note that like the guard near the entrance of Goldenrod, the guard here will attack you at night if you speak to him. If you head into the checking station in Route 35 you will find National Park. There are some rare Pokemon here that makes the detour worthwhile, Scyther and Pinsir to be exact and depending on your version the Caterpie family or Weedle family. However these Pokemon are only found during the Bug Catching Contest, and the contest only happens on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. When you enter the contest on one of those days, you will either have to decide which Pokemon you want to use in the contest or the game will decide for you. During the contest you are allowed to keep only one Pokemon. In order to win the contest you will have to catch a rare Pokemon. The best one to catch would be Scyther, which is worth the most points in the contest. Also note that there are three items in the park. One can be obtained by talking to the lady sitting on the bench, the other two can be found beyond the fences in National Park. There is a hole in the fence near the top-right corner of the park that will allow you to obtain these items. +----------------------+ Route 36 & Route 37 +----------------------+ Pokemon found in Route 36 & 37: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 16 Pidgey | G, S | G, S | --- | # 17 Pidgeotto ** | --- | G, S | --- | # 29 Nidoran (F) * | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 32 Nidoran (M) * | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 37 Vulpix | S | S | S | # 58 Growlithe | G | G | G | # 163 Hoothoot | --- | --- | G, S | # 165 Ledyba ** | S | --- | --- | # 167 Spinarak ** | --- | --- | G | # 234 Stantler | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ *- Nidoran (M) and (F) appear only on Route 36 **- Pidgeotto, Ledyba, and Spinarak appear only on Route 37 Items found in Route 36 & 37: Blk Apricorn Blu Apricorn Hard Stone Ice Berry Red Apricorn TM 08 Trainers fought in Route 36 & 37: ----------------------------------------------------------- Mark | Alan (Can get phone #) Pokemon: Abra Lv.13 | Pokemon: Tangela Lv.16 Abra Lv.13 | Prize: $512 Kadabra Lv.15 | Prize: $480 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Ann + Anne | Greg Pokemon: Jigglypuff Lv.16 | Pokemon: Drowzee Lv.17 Clefairy Lv.16 | Prize: $544 Prize: $320 | ----------------------------------------------------------- This is another small route with a few things to offer. If you have the Squirtbottle from the lady in Goldenrod, just examine the tree and the game will ask if you want to use the Squirtbottle. When you do the tree will attack and you will find that it is the Pokemon Sudowoodo. This is the only one in the game so be sure to catch it. Once you have defeated or captured Sudowoodo, go find this fat guy to the left. He will give you TM 08 for getting Sudowoodo out of the way. Also note that on Thursday, Arthur of Thursday will appear. He will give you the Hard Stone item just for talking to him. Now head up to Route 37. The only catch is that you will have to wait until tomorrow before you are able to use it. When he leaves be sure to visit him at his home in Goldenrod City, if you do he will entrust you with an Eevee, a Pokemon you will definitely want. As you prepare for the upcoming gym wander around the town a bit and stock up on items if necessary. If you visit the house next to the gym a man inside will give you the Itemfinder. If you visit the house above the Poke Center you will find the Ecruteak Dancers, each of which have one form of Eevee's evolution. If you defeat them all the man in the crowd will give you HM 03, Surf. You can also visit Tin Tower if you have the Fog Badge, but without the Rainbow Wing, you won't go very far. If you want you can visit the Burned Tower now, but be warned you rival will be there waiting to strike. Defeat him and explore the Tower. You should know that you won't find much if you haven't taught TM 08, Rock Smash, to a Pokemon. If you fall through the hole in the center and walk towards the statues, they will come to life and escape. You have now unleashed the legendary Pokemon of Gold/Silver. These Pokemon are found RANDOMLY around Johto, and have no set location. Before you leave the tower be sure to catch a Magmar in the Basement, this is the only place you will find one. To prepare for the upcoming Ghost Gym, bring a strong Psychic Pokemon, they can make short work of the entire Gym's Pokemon. Be sure to have some PRZCure Berries equipped on your Pokemon to counter the Ghost's Lick attack. ----------Morty------------ Trainer: Morty Pokemon: Gastly Lv.21 Haunter Lv.21 Gengar Lv.25 Haunter Lv.23 Prize- Fog Badge $2300 TM 30 Ghost Type are invulnerable to any Normal Attacks so you will have to bring Pokemon that have attack other than Tackle. If you have a strong Psychic, it can make short work of all the Pokemon in this Gym. Of course there attacks are strong against your Psychic, but if you can knock them out in one hit you shouldn't have much to worry about. The entire Gym tends to use a move called Curse, a move that takes half of their HP off, and try to curse you. This is easily avoided by switching Pokemon. --------------------------- ----------Rival------------ Trainer: Rival Pokemon: Haunter Lv.20 Magnemite Lv.18 Zubat Lv.20 Bayleef or Quilava or Croconaw Lv.22 Prize- $1320 You rival doesn't offer much of a challenge. His Haunter can be easily taken out with a Psychic, Magnemite and Bayleef with a Fire Pokemon, Zubat and Croconaw with an Electric Pokemon, and Quilava with a water Pokemon. You will however find Monica on Monday, who will give you Sharp Beak. There is also a rare Pokemon that can be found using Rock Smash on the rocks, but if you head to Cianwood, you can get one for free. Also, once you obtain HM06, Whirlpool and the Silver Wing you will want to return. For now, just battle the junior trainers hanging around the island. This is also a good place to level up Electric type Pokemon, at least for the time being. Also, Gold players have an opportunity to catch Mantine, a Pokemon exclusive to Gold players. +---------------+ Cianwood City +---------------+ Pokemon found in Cianwood City: # 213 Shuckle- G, S (Get for free) Items found in Cianwood City: HM 02 Secretpotion TM 01 Trainers fought in Cianwood City Gym: ----------------------------------------------------------- Yoshi | Lao Pokemon: Hitmonlee Lv.27 | Pokemon: Hitmonchan Lv.27 Prize: $648 | Prize: $648 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Nob | Lung Pokemon: Machop Lv.25 | Pokemon: Mankey Lv.23 Machoke Lv.25 | Mankey Lv.23 Prize: $660 | Primeape Lv.25 | Prize: $600 ----------------------------------------------------------- Cianwood is pretty small, and you will not be spending much time here. Head to the pharmacy and pick up the Secretpotion, you will give this to Jasmine back in Olivine. If you visit the home in the top part of town, he will offer to take pictures of your Pokemon. You can then print them out if you have the Gameboy Printer. In another house a guy will give you his Shuckle, if you keep it away from your rival. Once you are done with that head to the Gym. All of them are fighting type, so a strong Psychic would be your best bet here. On a side note one of the junior trainers in the Gym is named Nob. If any of you visit AGNP (alt.games.nintendo.pokemon), this name should sound familiar to you. Once you've defeated Chuck, be sure to talk to the lady outside of the gym. She will reward you with HM 02, Fly. Now head back to Olivine and give the Secretpotion to Jasmine. Once you've done that she will return to here gym waiting for you to challenge her. Take note that here Pokemon, especially Steelix, are very tough. Bring a strong Fire, Water, and Fighting type before facing her. ----------Chuck------------ Trainer: Chuck Pokemon: Primeape Lv.27 Poliwrath Lv.30 Prize- Strom Badge $3000 TM 01 Chuck and his entire gym consist of Fighting Pokemon. All of which can be destroyed with one Psychic. If you have a strong Psychic, Kadabra or Hypno, you should have very little problems with this leader. You could also use a Ghost, but all of them have a move that will hit the Ghost, thus taking away your advantage, so stick with Psychics. --------------------------- ----------Jasmine---------- Trainer: Jasmine Pokemon: Magnemite Lv.30 Magnemite Lv.30 Steelix Lv.35 Prize- Mineral Badge $3500 TM 23 Jasmine is tough. The new steel type has very few weaknesses that you can exploit. Her two Magnemites, being part Electric, have a defense against that so use a Fire Pokemon to take care of those two. Her Steelix is another story. It knows Rock Throw, a move that works very well against Fire Type, and being part Ground is immune to Electric attacks. Your best bet would be to use a Water Pokemon, and beat it as fast as you can. --------------------------- +---------------------+ New Bark and beyond +---------------------+ Now that you've earned your 6th badge, you may want to do a bit of backtracking. There are plenty of things that you couldn't do before, but with most of the HMs in your possession, you can now do them. This is a list of things you should head back for, if you haven't done so already. - Get Everstone from Prof. Elm for telling him about Togepi - Get Pink Bow from Tuscany on Route 29 on Tuesday - Get Mystic Water in Cherrygrove City - Get TM 50 in Route 31 for delivering mail - Get Rare Candy and PP Up in Violet City - Get Poison Barb from Frieda on Friday in Route 32 - Complete the other puzzles in the Ruins of Alph - Catch Natu and Smeargle outside of the Ruins of Alph - Catch Lapras in Union Cave on Friday - Go to Slowpoke Well and get King's Rock - Fight the three trainers in Route 34 for Soft Sand - Get Eevee from Bill in Goldenrod City - Get Hard Stone from Arthur on Thursday in Route 36 - Get Magnet from Sunny on Sunday in Route 37 - Get Sharp Beak from Monica on Monday in Route 40 +---------------------------+ Route 42 & Mahogany Town +---------------------------+ Pokemon found in Route 42: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 21 Spearow | G, S | G, S | --- | # 41 Zubat | --- | --- | G, S | # 56 Mankey | G | G | G | # 179 Mareep | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 180 Flaaffy | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ Items found in Route 42: Grn Apricorn Pnk Apricorn Super Potion Ultra Ball Ylw Apricorn Trainers fought in Route 42: ----------------------------------------------------------- Chris (Can get Phone #) | Shane Pokemon: Qwilfish Lv.18 | Pokemon: Nidorina Lv.16 Prize: $720 | Nidorino Lv.16 | Prize: $960 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Benjamin | Pokemon: Diglett Lv.14 | Geodude Lv.14 | Dugtrio Lv.16 | Prize: $512 | ----------------------------------------------------------- Items found in Mahogany Town: TM 16 Trainers fought in Mahogany Gym: ----------------------------------------------------------- Clarissa | Ronald Pokemon: Dewgong Lv.28 | Pokemon: Seel Lv.24 Prize: $2016 | Dewgong Lv.25 | Seel Lv.24 | Prize: $1728 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Douglas | Brad Pokemon: Shellder Lv.24 | Pokemon: Swinub Lv.26 Shellder Lv.24 | Swinub Lv.26 Cloyster Lv.25 | Prize: $1872 Prize: $1728 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Roxanne | Pokemon: Jynx Lv.28 | Prize: $2016 | ----------------------------------------------------------- There isn't much to do in Route 42. There are three Apricorns trees, all of which can be given to Kurt to make a specialized Poke Ball. You will also find the entrance to Mt. Mortar here, but you will not be able to go very far without the Waterfall HM, so far now just skip it and head straight for Mahogany Town. When you enter Mahogany Town you will notice that the stores sell the weirdest items, the gym is blocked off and some fat guy is blocking the road to Route 44. The Poke Center on the other hand is running as it should be, so stop by if you need too. You will have to figure out what is going on here, and to do that you need to head to the Lake of Rage and see what the disturbance is. ----------Pryce------------ Trainer: Pryce Pokemon: Seel Lv.27 Dewgong Lv.29 Piloswine Lv.31 Prize- Glacier Badge $3100 TM 16 Pryce is pretty easy, as long as you have the right Pokemon. A strong Fire type and Electric Type, (I recommend having them at around Lv.27 - Lv.30.) Use the Electric Type against his Seel and Dewgong and they shouldn't give you too much trouble. Use a Fire Type against Piloswine and the Glacier Badge will be yours in no time. --------------------------- +--------------------------+ Route 43 & Lake of Rage +--------------------------+ Pokemon found in Route 43: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 17 Pidgeotto | G, S | G, S | --- | # 48 Venonat | G, S | --- | G, S | # 164 Noctowl | --- | --- | G, S | # 179 Mareep | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 180 Flaaffy | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 230 Girafarig | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ Items found in Route 43: Bitter Berry Max Ether Trainers fought in Route 43: ----------------------------------------------------------- Spencer | Tiffany (Can get Phone #) Pokemon: Sandshrew Lv.17 | Pokemon: Clefairy Lv.20 Sandshrew Lv.17 | Prize: $400 Zubat Lv.19 | Prize: $380 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Brent (Can get Phone #) | Ben Pokemon: Lickitung Lv.19 | Pokemon: Slowbro Lv.19 Prize: $1140 | Prize: $1140 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Ron | Marvin Pokemon: Nidoking Lv.19 | Pokemon: Magikarp Lv.10 Prize: $1140 | Gyarados Lv.10 | Magikarp Lv.15 | Gyarados Lv.15 | Prize: $600 ----------------------------------------------------------- Items found in the Lake of Rage: Blackbelt Max Ether Red Scale TM 10 TM 43 As you go through Route 43 you will see a building blocking the right side of the road. DO NOT GOT THOROUGH IT. You will find Team Rocket inside and they will take $1000 from you, just to let you pass. You should go the long way to the Lake of Rage. As you near the end of Route 43 you will find two routes to the Lake of Rage. The left path will bring you two some items (be sure to have a Pokemon with Cut), and you will also find Wesley of Wednesday. He will give you the Blackbelt item, which powers up Fighting attacks. The right path will lead to the Lake. If you talk to the people around, they will tell you that something strange has been going on. If you Surf into the Lake you will find a Gyarados, but this is no ordinary Gyarados, this is a Red Gyarados. There is nothing special about the Red Gyarados, besides it being Red. However color variations of any Pokemon are very rare, so you should do everything you can to catch this Gyarados. After you beat/capture the Red Gyarados you will receive the Red Scale. If you bring that item to Mr. Pokemon he will give you the EXP. Share item. As you exit the lake you will also find Lance, the Dragon Trainer. (The guy from the Elite Four in Red/Blue/Yellow, for those of you that are forgetful.) He will inform you of Team Rocket's plan and will ask you to help him stop them. Head back to Mahogany's item shop and you will find the entrance to Team Rocket's HQ. Also note that when Team Rocket has been cleared of this area, there is a fishing contest to see who can get the biggest Magikarp. The prize for winning is a Max Ether. +----------------+ Team Rocket HQ +----------------+ Items found in Team Rocket HQ: Dire Hit Full Heal HM 06 Hyper Potion Ice Heal Nugget Protein TM 46 X Accuracy Trainers fought in Team Rocket HQ: ----------------------------------------------------------- Rocket | Rocket Pokemon: Drowzee Lv.17 | Pokemon: Zubat Lv.16 Zubat Lv.19 | Grimer Lv.17 Prize: $760 | Rattata Lv.18 | Prize: $720 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rocket | Jed Pokemon: Rattata Lv.16 | Pokemon: Magnemite Lv.20 Rattata Lv.16 | Magnemite Lv.20 Rattata Lv.16 | Magnemite Lv.20 Rattata Lv.16 | Prize: $2000 Prize: $640 | -----------------------------|---------------------------- Rocket | Rocket Pokemon: Venonat Lv.18 | Pokemon: Golbat Lv.18 Venonat Lv.18 | Prize: $720 Prize: $720 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Ross | Rocket Pokemon: Koffing Lv.22 | Pokemon: Ekans Lv.18 Koffing Lv.22 | Gloom Lv.18 Prize: $2200 | Prize: $720 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Mitch | Rocket Pokemon: Ditto Lv.24 | Pokemon: Raticate Lv.19 Prize: $2400 | Prize: $760 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rocket | Executive Pokemon: Rattata Lv.17 | Pokemon: Zubat Lv.22 Zubat Lv.17 | Raticate Lv.24 Rattata Lv.17 | Koffing Lv.22 Prize: $680 | Prize: $1584 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Executive | Pokemon: Arbok Lv.23 | Murkrow Lv.25 | Gloom Lv.23 | Prize: $1800 | ----------------------------------------------------------- Team Rocket has a bunch of traps and Rockets running around so be sure to come prepared. The first floor of their HQ is filled with traps, such as the Persian statue and the trap floor. Both can be avoided, except the first statue, by going the long way. Going to the computer in the middle of the room and pressing the switch can deactivate the statues. As you make your way through their base you will occasionally run into Lance, who will heal you, but only once. You will need two passwords to reach the Executive's room. Both can be defeated by defeating two Rocket's both of which will divulge the password. The first can be found near the set of computers, the other near the bookcases. When you receive the passwords head towards the Executive's room. Defeat the wannabe Giovanni and examine the Murkrow to get the final password. Head back to the generator room and you will run into the other Rocket Executive, who is a little bit tougher, but is still no Giovanni. When you defeat them you will have to defeat the Electrode powering the generator. Be cautious, the Electrodes tend to explode, so be sure to have a couple of Pokemon left in reserve. When you've done that Lance will give you HM 06, and be on his way. You can now enter the Gym and buy normal items from the store. When you receive the Glacier Badge you will receive a call from Prof Elm telling you of trouble in Goldenrod's Radio Tower. Head back there after resting and stocking up. +--------------+ Radio Tower +--------------+ Items found throughout the Radio Tower Area: Amulet Coin Basement Key Burn Heal Card Key Ether Full Heal Max Ether Pink Bow Silver Wing (Silver version only) Smoke Ball Rainbow Wing (Gold version only) TM 11 TM 35 Ultra Ball Trainers fought throughout the Radio Tower Area: ----------------------------------------------------------- Rocket | Rocket Pokemon: Rattata Lv.24 | Pokemon: Arbok Lv.26 Raticate Lv.24 | Prize: $1040 Prize: $960 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rocket | Rocket Pokemon: Rattata Lv.21 | Pokemon: Zubat Lv.26 Rattata Lv.21 | Zubat Lv.26 Rattata Lv.23 | Prize: $1040 Rattata Lv.23 | Rattata Lv.23 | Prize: $920 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rocket | Rocket Pokemon: Grimer Lv.23 | Pokemon: Koffing Lv.23 Grimer Lv.23 | Grimer Lv.23 Muk Lv.25 | Rattata Lv.23 Prize: $1000 | Zubat Lv.23 | Prize: $920 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rocket | Marc Pokemon: Weezing Lv.26 | Pokemon: Magnemite Lv.27 Prize: $1040 | Magnemite Lv.27 | Magnemite Lv.27 | Prize: $2700 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rick | Rocket Pokemon: Porygon Lv.30 | Pokemon: Zubat Lv.22 Prize: $3000 | Grimer Lv.22 | Golbat Lv.24 | Prize: $880 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Executive | Rocket Pokemon: Koffing Lv.30 | Pokemon: Rattata Lv.27 Koffing Lv.30 | Prize: $1080 Koffing Lv.30 | Weezing Lv.32 | Koffing Lv.30 | Koffing Lv.30 | Prize: $2160 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rocket | Rocket Pokemon: Muk Lv.23 | Pokemon: Koffing Lv.24 Koffing Lv.23 | Muk Lv.24 Rattata Lv.25 | Prize: $960 Prize: $1000 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Eddie | Duncan Pokemon: Growlithe Lv.26 | Pokemon: Koffing Lv.23 Koffing Lv.24 | Koffing Lv23 Prize: $2112 | Magmar Lv.25 | Prize: $2024 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rocket | Rocket Pokemon: Gloom Lv.25 | Pokemon: Raticate Lv.24 Gloom Lv.25 | Golbat Lv.24 Prize: $1000 | Prize: $960 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rocket | Rocket Pokemon: Grimer Lv.26 | Pokemon: Koffing Lv.25 Weezing Lv.23 | Koffing Lv.25 Prize: $920 | Prize: $1000 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rocket | Executive Pokemon: Raticate Lv.24 | Pokemon: Golbat Lv.36 Koffing Lv.26 | Prize: $2592 Prize: $1040 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Rocket | Executive Pokemon: Ekans Lv.21 | Pokemon: Arbok Lv.32 Oddish Lv.23 | Vileplume Lv.32 Ekans Lv.21 | Murkrow Lv.32 Gloom Lv.24 | Prize: $2304 Prize: $960 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Executive | Pokemon: Houndour Lv.33 | Koffing Lv.33 | Houndoom Lv.35 | Prize: $2520 | ----------------------------------------------------------- You will be facing a TON of Rockets, so either come prepared, or make frequent stops to the Poke Center. The Rockets are all over Goldenrod, and you will have to face nearly all of them. Your first stop is the Radio Tower. As you make your way through the tower, one of the Radio Tower employees will ask you to save the director, head to the top floor to rescue the director. You will find that the director is a Rocket in disguise and will challenge you. Beat him and you will receive the Basement Key. Your next stop is the Goldenrod City Tunnel. There is a door there that was previously locked, but with the Basement Key you will be able to open the door. Be warned, your Rival will attack you at this point, so make sure you are prepared. As you make your way through the basement you will find that the Rockets have placed some security along the way. To move on hit the switches in this order: 3-2-1. If you want to get the other item (a Smoke Ball), hit the switches in this order: 2-1-3-2. Once you get through the security you will find the real director being held hostage. Rescue him and he will give you the Card Key. If you look through the Basement some more you will find some items being blocked by boxes. If you leave and come back the boxes will move, allowing you to get the items. Now head back to the Radio Tower, and up to the 3rd floor. You will find the gate that was once locked will open with the Card Key. Make your way up and defeat the Rockets once and for all (or at least until the next Pokemon game). Once Team Rocket is cleared from Goldenrod, take to the employees in the Radio Tower. You will especially want the Silver or Rainbow wing (depending on your version). ----------Rival------------ Trainer: Rival Pokemon: Golbat Lv.30 Magnemite Lv.28 Haunter Lv.30 Sneasel Lv.32 Meganium or Quilava or Feraligatr Lv.32 Prize- $1920 Your Rival is back, and thankfully not very difficult to beat, this guy is no Gary folks. Head back to Mahogany and head to the Route that was previously blocked by this fat guy. There isn't much to do here, or get for that matter. However, there is a rare Pokemon that only shows up here. You will have to get one of the Fisher Wilton's number before you have a chance to get it. Once you've done that head towards the Ice Path. Be sure to have a Pokemon with Strength before going in. The Ice Path is the perfect opportunity to catch an Ice Type Pokemon. Especially since the upcoming gym has a weakness against Ice Types. The Ice Path is full of Ice that will have you sliding all over the place (similar to Pryce's Gym). There are two items here that you will need and should get. The first is HM 07, which contains Waterfall. The other is the Nevermeltice item, perfect for the Ice Type you should catch here. +------------------+ Blackthorn City +------------------+ Items found in Blackthorn City: Dragon Fang Spell Tag TM 24 Trainers fought in Blackthorn City Gym: ----------------------------------------------------------- Paul | Fran Pokemon: Dratini Lv.34 | Pokemon: Seadra Lv.37 Dratini Lv.34 | Prize: $1776 Dratini Lv.34 | Prize: $1632 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Cody | Mike Pokemon: Horsea Lv.34 | Pokemon: Dragonair Lv.37 Seadra Lv.36 | Prize: $1776 Prize: $1728 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Lola | Pokemon: Dratini Lv.34 | Dragonair Lv.36 | Prize: $1728 | | ----------------------------------------------------------- Blackthorn is the location of the final Johto gym, and could have been the most difficult if not for the Ice Pokemon you just caught (or should have caught). You will also find that the Poke Mart here sells Ultra Balls (finally), so stock up. You will also find a guy who will help your Pokemon forget moves you do not want INCLUDING HM MOVES. You will also find the Santos of Saturday here as well, who will give you the Spell Tag. Once you've stocked up and rest head to the gym for your final Johto Gym battle. Be sure to bring a Pokemon that knows Strength to get past the Gym's puzzle as well as a strong Ice and Electric type Pokemon to deal with the Dragon Pokemon here. Once you've beaten the Gym Leader Clair, she will tell you to get the Dragon Fang in the Dragon's Den before she will give you the badge (SORE LOSER). The Dragon's Den is located directly behind the Gym so bring a Pokemon that knows Surf and Whirlpool. After you get the Dragon Fang Clair will finally reward you with the Rising Badge and TM 24. Once you've done that and left the cave you will get a call from Prof. Elm to come back to his lab. You can either head through Route 45 & 46 or just Fly back. I suggest walking back. ----------Clair------------ Trainer: Clair Pokemon: Dragonair Lv.37 Dragonair Lv.37 Dragonair Lv.37 Kingdra Lv.40 Prize- $4000 Rising Badge TM 24 Clair's Dragon type Pokemon could be a problem, a problem if you didn't pass through the Ice Cave. If you have any Pokemon at about equal level (I had Lapras at about Lv.36), and with and Ice move, you should have no problems against her. Her three Dragonairs are easily and quickly dispatched, her Kingdra is another story. It doesn't take as much damage as Dragonair does from Ice attacks, so just pull out an Electric type and fry Kingdra. --------------------------- +----------------------------------+ Route 45, 46, and the Dark Cave +----------------------------------+ Pokemon found in Route 45: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 74 Geodude | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 75 Graveler | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 207 Gligar | G | G | G | # 216 Teddiursa | G | G | G | # 227 Skarmory | S | S | S | # 231 Phanpy | S | S | S | +------------------------------+ Pokemon found in Route 46: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 19 Rattata | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 21 Spearow | G, S | G, S | --- | # 74 Geodude | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ Items found in Route 45 & 46: Berry Dire Hit Elixer Max Potion Mystery Berry PRZCure Berry Revive X Special Items found in the Dark Cave: Blackglasses Full Heal Hyper Potion Revive TM 13 Trainers fought in Route 45 & 46: ----------------------------------------------------------- Erik | Ryan Pokemon: Machop Lv.24 | Pokemon: Pidgeot Lv.25 Machop Lv.27 | Electabuzz Lv.27 Graveler Lv.27 | Prize: $1296 Prize: $864 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Parry (Can get Phone # | Kelly Pokemon: Onix Lv.29 | Pokemon: Marill Lv.27 Prize: $928 | Wartortle Lv.24 | Wartortle Lv.24 | Prize: $1152 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Kenji (Can get Phone #) | Michael Pokemon: Machoke Lv.28 | Pokemon: Geodude Lv.25 Prize: $672 | Graveler Lv.25 | Golem Lv.25 | Prize: $800 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Timothy | Ted Pokemon: Diglett Lv.27 | Pokemon: Mankey Lv.17 Dugtrio Lv.27 | Prize: $340 Prize: $864 | -----------------------------|----------------------------- Erin (Can get Phone #) | Bailey Pokemon: Ponyta Lv.16 | Pokemon: Geodude Lv.13 Ponyta Lv.16 | Geodude Lv.13 Prize: $320 | Geodude Lv.13 | Geodude Lv.13 | Geodude Lv.13 | Prize: $416 ----------------------------------------------------------- Well, if you took my advice to walk to New Bark Town (as you should) you will find that Route 45 holds some Pokemon exclusive to both versions. Route 45 and Route 46 holds quite a few trainers and items that cannot be gotten on your first trip, so make sure to fly back to Blackthorn City, and make sure to fight every trainer and grab every item. Along the way you will notice an entrance to a cave. This is the Dark Cave you saw WAY back in Route 31. There is only one thing of interest in here, and that's the Blackglasses, and item you will want. Before heading in make sure to have a Pokemon that knows Flash and Rock Smash. Once you've done that and exited Route 46 you will find yourself back in Route 29, now head to the Prof Elm's Lab. +------------------------+ New Bark & Mt. From here you can head on to the Elite Four and become a Pokemon Champion, but you may want to visit some of the other places and catch some rare Pokemon. Also at this point I suggest bringing the Pokemon you are going to use against the Elite Four and build them up as you hunt down some Pokemon. For the Elite Four I recommend using a Fire, Psychic, Ice, and Electric type Pokemon, plus two other Pokemon as back-up (Fighting and another of the same type for insurance). These Pokemon are perfect for countering the Elite Four's own Pokemon so start building them up. If you have your team assembled, there are three places you want to stop by, (two actually) Mt. Mortar, Whirl Islands, and Tin Tower. I'll first cover Mt. Mortar. Also note that if you missed any Pokemon or items anywhere else in Johto do it now. You want to be prepared as possible when facing the Elite Four. For Mt. Mortar bring a Pokemon that knows Flash, Surf, Waterfall, and if you want Strength. You may have to bring Pokemon that you aren't using for the Elite Four, but if you want the stuff here you will have to bring Pokemon with those skills. The more worthwhile items to get here are TM40, the Dragon Scale, and the Pokemon known as Tyrogue. Tyrogue can be found by defeating Black Belt Kiyo, the karate master from Pokemon R/B/Y. Marill also shows up here, but very rarely. You will need Hiker Parry's phone number in Route 45 if you hope to catch one. +----------------+ Whirl Islands +----------------+ Pokemon found in Whirl Islands: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 41 Zubat | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 42 Golbat | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 86 Seel | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 98 Krabby | G, S | G, S | G, S | +------------------------------+ # 249 Lugia Items found in Whirl Islands: Calcium Carbos Escape Rope Full Restore x2 Guard Spec Max Elixer Max Revive Nugget Ultra Ball Depending on your version you will either visit Whirl Islands or Tin Tower. Silver players will want to visit Whirl Islands while Gold players will visit Tin Tower. Each location holds on of the legendary bird Pokemon, Lugia and Ho-oh, and depending on your version you will only be able to catch on or the other, at least for the moment. For Silver players fly to Olivine City and bring Pokemon that know Surf, Flash, Whirlpool, and if you want Waterfall and Strength. Now Surf down into the islands that were previously blocked by a whirlpool, and use Whirlpool to be rid of them. There are not many items of value in this cave, but you should probably get them anyways. If you want to get Lugia enter the island in the Northeast. This is the path to him. When you find Lugia remember to SAVE! You only have one chance at catching him, so be sure to SAVE! This way if you KO it you can just restart and try again. Lugia can be very tough to catch, especially since it can use Recover. Try putting it to sleep, and having a Pokemon that knows False Swipe can be very useful. Also note that in the Silver version Lugia is found at Level 40, while in Gold Lugia is found at Level 70. Silver players have the advantage in that their Lugia will learn its strongest attacks. +------------+ Tin Tower +------------+ To be completed... +-----------------------------------+ Route 26, Tohjo Falls & Route 27 +-----------------------------------+ Pokemon found in Route 26 & 27: +------------------------------+ | Morning | Day | Night | |-----------|--------|---------| # 20 Raticate | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 24 Arbok | S | S | S | # 28 Sandslash | G | G | G | # 77 Ponyta | G, S | G, S | G, S | # 84 Doduo | G, S | G, S | --- | # 85 Dodrio * | G, S | G, S | --- | # 195 Quagsire | G, S | --- | G, S | +------------------------------+ * Note that Dodrio appears on Route 26 for Gold Players and 27 for Silver. Prepare the team you are going to use, but be sure to bring along a Pokemon that knows Waterfall and Whirlpool. Now head back to New Bark Town, and Surf along the waters near your home. When you head for land this man will tell you that you've entered Kanto. If you check the map on your Pokegear you will see that land looking very familiar, if you've played the other versions of Pokemon that is. Before heading into the cave Surf in the water right below the cave entrance and you will find a Rare Candy. When you do enter the cave be sure to grab the Moon Stone. When you exit the cave enter the house, and speak to the lady there. If one of your Pokemon is happy she will give you TM 37. Continue along the path, and when you hit the bridge path, be sure to Surf along the Coral till you find a Whirlpool. Get rid of the whirlpool and grab the TM lying next to the trainer. When you enter Route 27 (the path heading straight up), be sure to stop by the Day Siblings House. If you missed anyone of them, this will tell you what day the show up on, and where. You will also find another house where a lady will heal you up for free. Do so before continuing on. Keep heading up, and you will eventually find yourself in the checking station to the Elite Four. The guard will check your badges and if you have all eight will let you pass, head in the door and onto Victory Road. +---------------+ Victory Road +---------------+ Items found in Victory Road: Full Heal Full Restore Max Revive TM 26 X Special Victory Road is nothing like it used to be. Victory Road is now much easier with no puzzles to solve or any trainers to stand in your way. There are a couple of items you will want, especially TM 26. You will have to go out of your way and fall into a hole to get it, but since Victory Road is so small you shouldn't have any problems doing it. Before exiting the cave your Rival will appear and challenge you to a rematch before facing the Elite Four. His Pokemon still suck, and you can use one or two Pokemon to beat him. ----------Rival------------ Trainer: Rival Pokemon: Sneasel Lv.34 Magneton Lv.35 Golbat Lv.36 Haunter Lv.35 Kadabra Lv.35 Meganium or Typhlosion or Feraligatr Lv.38 Prize- $2280 Your Rival still should not prove to be too difficult. His Sneasel and Magneton along with Meganium can be taken out with your Fire Type, and very easily. Golbat and Feraligatr can be taken out with any Electric Type. Typhlosion should be taken out by whatever Pokemon you have that has Surf, while Haunter can be taken out with just about any of the above Pokemon, or your Psychic. Kadabra may be the most difficult, since you have no Dark Type (unless you have Umbreon), but Kadabra can be taken out the same way as Haunter with just about any other type. --------------------------- +----------------+ Indigo Plateau +----------------+ Now is the time to face some of the greatest trainers in the game. Hopefully you have the six Pokemon type I advised to have for this battle, and have them all around Level 40 or higher. Like the last game you will have to face each trainer one by one with no stops to heal at the Poke Center so bring in any healing and reviving items, in case one of your Pokemon gets KO'd by one of the Elite Four. The Elite Four may be tough, but with the right Pokemon will go down in no time, and you will be crowned the new Pokemon Champion. ----------Will------------- Trainer: Will Pokemon: Xatu Lv.40 Jynx Lv.41 Slowbro Lv.41 Exeggutor Lv.41 Xatu Lv.42 Prize- $4200 Seems like Lorelei got demoted, because a new trainer has entered the Elite Four. Will's Pokemon concentrates on Psychic types, but all you need are two types for this battle, a Fire Type and Electric Type. Xatu and Slowbro can easily be taken down by an Electric Type, just beware of Xatu's Confuse Ray. Jynx and Exeggutor should prove to be no problems to a very strong Fire Type. --------------------------- ----------Koga------------- Trainer: Koga Pokemon: Ariados Lv.40 Forretress Lv.43 Muk Lv.42 Venomoth Lv.41 Crobat Lv.44 Prize- $4400 Koga seems to have gotten a promotion to the Elite Four. That still doesn't mean he's any harder. Koga's Pokemon concentrate on status ailments, mainly Poison. The same Fire Type you used on Will easily takes out Ariados, Forretress, and Venomoth. An Electric type also works well against Venomoth and Crobat. Muk is easily taken out by your Psychic Pokemon. --------------------------- ----------Bruno------------ Trainer: Bruno Pokemon: Hitmontop Lv.42 Onix Lv.43 Hitmonlee Lv.42 Hitmonchan Lv.42 Machamp Lv.46 Prize- $4600 Bruno got upgraded to the third position of the Elite Four, but that doesn't mean he's any tougher. A strong Psychic can take out all of Bruno's Hitmons and Machamp, with little to no problems. Onix is a little trickier, but Psychic will still work against it, just not as effectively. If you have a Pokemon with a water type move, it will be much easier. --------------------------- ----------Karen------------ Trainer: Karen Pokemon: Umbreon Lv.42 Vileplume Lv.42 Gengar Lv.45 Murkrow Lv.44 Houndoom Lv.47 Prize- $4700 Karen's Pokemon focuses on the darker aspects of Pokemon, and unless you have a strong Fighting Type this battle may be a bit difficult. The same Fire Type you've been using can easily take out Vileplume, and Murkrow can be taken out with the same Electric Type. Houndoom, being part Fire, can be taken out with the same water type move you used to defeat Onix. If not the Fighting type can take care of Houndoom and Umbreon. Just about anything will take out Gengar, except Normal attacks, but why would you use those here? --------------------------- ----------Lance------------ Trainer: Lance Pokemon: Gyarados Lv.44 Dragonite Lv.47 Aerodactyl Lv.46 Dragonite Lv.47 Charizard Lv.46 Dragonite Lv.50 Prize- $5000 Lance, if you recall is the last of the Elite Four from the previous game, and the guy who helped you beat Team Rocket. This guy has some of the strongest Pokemon, but with the right type will fall. Your Electric type can very easily takes out Gyarados. It will also work on Charizard if you do not have a good water move. If you do have a good water attack, it would be best used on Charizard and Aerodactyl. The three Dragonites only weakness is other Dragon moves (which are pretty rare) or the more common Ice Moves. Be sure that your Ice Pokemon are strong and fast, the three Dragonites all know Hyper Beam, a move you do not want to be on the end of. The Ice Type should be able to KO all of the Dragonites with no problem, after that you will become the new Pokemon Champion. --------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- T h e W o r l d o f K a n t o ---------------------------------------------------------------------- +------------+ S.S. Head outside to receive a call from Prof. Elm. When you visit him he will give you the S.S. Ticket, allowing you to travel to Kanto. Fly to Olivine City and head for their harbor to set sail. While onboard you cannot leave and you will have to face a few trainers, none that are very difficult. As you explore the ship you will find that a man has lost his daughter. You'll find the child in the Captain's room, however a sailor is blocking the path to the Captain. You will have to find a missing sailor, and the other sailor will move out of your way. Once you've found the daughter and returned back to the man looking for her you will be rewarded with the Metal Coat. After that the ship will dock in Vermilion City. +----------------+ Vermilion City +----------------+ Items found in the Vermilion City: Rare Candy Trainers fought in the Vermilion City Gym: ----------------------------------------------------------- Horton | Vincent Pokemon: Electrode Lv.33 | Pokemon: Magnemite Lv.27 Electrode Lv.33 | Voltorb Lv.33 Electrode Lv.33 | Magnemite Lv.32 Electrode Lv.33 | Magnemite Lv.32 Prize: $1320 | Prize: $1024 -----------------------------|----------------------------- Gregory | Pokemon: Pikachu Lv.37 | Flaaffy Lv.33 | Prize: $2376 | ----------------------------------------------------------- Welcome back to the world where Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow took place. Things have changed since you last visit, but some things haven't changed. You'll find a sleeping Snorlax blocking the right path of vermilion City. If you head to the Pokemon Fan Club, the building above the Gym, you can get a Rare Candy. Now head for the gym and you will find Lt. Surge is still in charge of the Vermilion City Gym. He however hasn't gotten any tougher. Bring some Ground or Grass Type and most of the Pokemon here won't even touch you. --------Lt. Surge---------- Trainer: Lt. Surge Pokemon: Raichu Lv.44 Electrode Lv.40 Magneton Lv.40 Electrode Lv.40 Electabuzz Lv.46 Prize- $4600 Lt. Surge may have some higher-level Pokemon than the last time you faced him, but has not gotten any harder. A good Ground type will be able to withstand most of the attacks throw out by Surge, so even a relatively weak Ground Type can take out all of Surge's Pokemon. Course you probably wouldn't want to do that, he may get lucky and KO your Pokemon. --------------------------- More to come... ****************************************** IV. Pokedex ****************************************** Pretty self-explanatory, the only thing that may need a bit of description is the Ver column. If it says G or S, it means it can be caught/found in either Gold, Silver, or both. If there is a question mark, it means that none can be caught in the game.
