FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) ****************************************** Q. What do they mean by Gameboy Advance compatible? A. I'm guessing you don't have a GBA or this game. Basically the GBA has a feature to "stretch" a game's screen previously made for the GB or GBC to fit on the GBA. Most games look pretty weird being stretch out. DWIII on the other hand fits the screen without the stretched look. ****************************************** III. Getting Started ****************************************** When you first begin the game your hero will be given a test to determine their personality. Although this may seem trivial it will effect certain things, one of them being how your stats grow. The following chart shows how the personality affects growth. Note that wearing certain items or reading certain books will change the personality of your character. One more note. It appears that people have found other personalities other than the one the Prima Guide listed (what you mean something was wrong with the Prima Guide Gasp!). Anyways, so far the only one I've heard thus far is the Unique personality. If you find any others please tell me. +------------------------------------------------------+ |Personality | STR | AGL | VIT | INT | LUCK | |-------------------|------|------|------|------|------| | Agile | 3 | 6 | 3 | 4 | 2 | | Alert | 3 | 5 | 3 | 6 | 2 | | Amazon (Female) | 6 | 3 | 4 | 2 | 2 | | Bully | 6 | 3 | 3 | 1 | 2 | | Carefree | 4 | 2 | 5 | 5 | 5 | | Careless | 2 | 5 | 4 | 2 | 2 | | Cowardly | 3 | 2 | 3 | 6 | 6 | | Defiant | 3 | 5 | 5 | 3 | 3 | | Diligent | 5 | 3 | 6 | 3 | 2 | | Eager | 5 | 3 | 5 | 4 | 2 | | Fearless | 3 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 4 | | Foolish | 3 | 5 | 2 | 2 | 3 | | Gourmet | 5 | 1 | 5 | 1 | 2 | | Happy | 3 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 6 | | Helpless | 3 | 4 | 3 | 5 | 4 | | Honest | 4 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 3 | | Ironman | 5 | 2 | 6 | 3 | 2 | | Jock | 6 | 2 | 4 | 2 | 2 | | Kindly | 5 | 3 | 5 | 5 | 3 | | Ladylike (Female) | 4 | 2 | 3 | 5 | 7 | | Lazy | 5 | 1 | 6 | 2 | 5 | | Lewd (Male) | 5 | 3 | 6 | 5 | 3 | | Logical | 2 | 5 | 3 | 6 | 2 | | Lonesome | 4 | 3 | 2 | 5 | 5 | | Lucky | 4 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 7 | | Macho | 5 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 1 | | Meddler | 5 | 3 | 5 | 2 | 2 | | Naive | 4 | 3 | 3 | 2 | 5 | | Ordinary | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | | Quick | 4 | 7 | 4 | 4 | 4 | | Romantic | 3 | 5 | 3 | 5 | 4 | | Selfish | 3 | 5 | 3 | 3 | 3 | | Sexy (Female) | 5 | 6 | 5 | 5 | 6 | | Sharp | 4 | 6 | 2 | 7 | 3 | | Silly | 4 | 6 | 3 | 5 | 5 | | Smart | 3 | 4 | 4 | 6 | 3 | | Solitary | 4 | 5 | 6 | 5 | 2 | | Stubborn | 4 | 1 | 6 | 1 | 2 | | Timid | 5 | 1 | 6 | 5 | 3 | | Tomboy (Female) | 5 | 5 | 2 | 3 | 3 | | Tough | 5 | 3 | 7 | 2 | 2 | | Twisted | 2 | 6 | 2 | 5 | 6 | | Vain | 5 | 5 | 3 | 5 | 3 | | Valiant | 7 | 2 | 4 | 2 | 2 | | Weepy | 3 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 5 | +------------------------------------------------------+ In order to determine your personality the game will ask you a series of questions. After answering a few questions you will be taken to a certain situation that will finally determine what your personality will be like. The game will first ask you one of five starting questions, and from your responses follow it up with more questions until you hit a certain situation. Ok, I guess I won't put the questions up, thank god. I actually dreaded typing all that up. However a new Personality Guide by Alan Riggs has just appeared on GameFAQs and if you really want to get a certain personality for your Hero, I suggest looking that up. Also there is another Personality Guide made by Alex W. Jackson listed under the Super Famicon (Super Nintendo) section of Dragon Quest III, also at GameFAQs. Although there is some Japanese Text throughout the Guide he explains about getting a personality for your Hero as well as for your teammates. ---Job Classes--- With the exception of the Hero, you can have a variety of people on your team. This includes the: Warrior: Experts in Physical combat using weapons. While they can use heavy, powerful weapons and equipment, they cannot cast spells. Fighter: Fighters rely on their lean, muscular bodies to deliver punishing punches. They won't wear heavy protective gear, so they can move quickly. Their chances of scoring critical hits in battle increase with their levels. Mage: Mages cast powerful spells to mow down monsters. They are physically frail, however so they are not to be relied upon for physical attacks. Cleric: As evil-hating followers of the gods, clerics can cast healing and reviving spells that are imbued with holy power. They are physically stronger than mages, and are capable of some physical combat. Thief: Thieves are experts at exploring the unknown. They possess abilities that make them invaluable to your quest. For example, they can identify the locations of hidden treasures in caves and towers. They also steal items from monsters in battle. Dealer: Dealers have the uncanny knack of earning a little bit more money from the battle than the others. They are also the only people who can appraise unknown items. At the start of the quest they are comparable to the hero in abilities. Jester: Silly pranksters whose only source of pride is their luckiness. In battle, they may ignore your wishes to do whatever strikes their fancy. They learn new ways of fooling around when they level up. Sage: The ultimate spellcasters, sages can cast all the spells of mages and clerics. What's more they can also user powerful weapons. It's not easy to become a sage. It requires special dedication. *Note that you cannot start out with a Sage. Also note that at one point in the game you can change a characters class into a Sage or into other classes. There are many benefits to this, for example if you had a Mage and changed him into a Warrior, the Warrior would retain all the spells learned as a Mage and have the added bonus of the Warrior's strength. The only negative to this is that you start back at level 1 and lose half your stats, but you will find this a minor inconvenience. ****************************************** IV. Walkthrough ****************************************** ---Prologue--- Many years ago, the kingdom of Aliahan ruled the world. Although its former influence has diminished, its people lived in peace. That is, until the rise of the Demon Lord Baramos... The kingdom's greatest hero Ortega embarked on a journey to defeat Baramos, but was said to have perished from a plunge into the maw of a volcano. Over a dozen years later... A single youth strides purposefully into the castle of Aliahan. The youth is the hero Ortega's only child. The king, recognizing the youth's determination to succeed the fallen father commands, "defeat the Demon Lord Baramos." You are the young hero of Aliahan. Assemble a team of trusted companions for a spectacular quest to save the world from the terrors of the Demon Lord Baramos. Let the adventure begin! +----------------+ Aliahan Castle +----------------+ Aliahan Town Item Shop: Herb 8G Antidote 10G WarpWing 25G PotLid 50G INN 8G a night Weapons and Armor: Stick 5G Club 30G Copper Sword 100G Cloth 10G Traveler 70G Leather Armor 150G Leather Shield 90G After determining your personality, (see above for more details), you will find yourself at your home ready to meet the king. Search the dresser to receive a STRseed. Follow your mother out the door, and meet the king. After speaking to the king head left and search the dressers in that room to find a LUCKseed. Now head down and explore the castle. Inside two barrels you will find an Antidote as well as a TinyMedal. Now exit the castle and explore around town. If you search the well you will find a hidden house underneath. Here lies the TinyMedal man. As you find TinyMedals throughout the world you can bring it back to this man and exchange them for items. Also note that if you visit your mom she will heal you for free. Saving you some money from always going to the inn. Now you must recruit some people at the Tavern. You can recruit some pre-made characters or you can create and recruit your own. The benefits of making your own character is that you can give them a personality you may want (although not guaranteed), as well as give them a name you want. As for who to recruit that's for you to decide. I recommend a team of the Hero, a Warrior, Cleric, and Mage. This will give you a good balance of magic and attack. Course you can mix and match at your leisure, so see what works best for you. In fact you can register at least one of each class (not sure if you can register one of each class and sex, not even going to try), so you can register at least one of each class and come back for a character later if you wanted too. Once you've obtained your team and have equipped all of them with a weapon, head outside to level up, I recommend getting your people at about or around level 5. Once you've done that your first journey will be to find the Thief Key. If you explored the Castle Dungeon you may have heard some clues as to its whereabouts. Head out of the castle and across the bridge then head down into the cave. +----------------+ Najimi Tower +----------------+ Explore the cave and search for some treasure. As you start exploring you may notice that the cave also has a path that leads to the Village of Reeve as well as Aliahan Castle. However you want to head up to the tower so head up the stairs near the four pillars. The tower is pretty straightforward so you shouldn't have too much trouble working your way around the cave. As you explore you will find an inn at the 1st floor of the tower, use it if necessary. Now continue to explore the tower and be sure to grab the TinyMedal from the chest. When you reach the top talk to the old man to receive the Thief Key. With this you can open any red door that was previously locked. Be sure to search the bookcases after you get the Key. You will find a Tomboy Book, one of the books that will change your personality. Now use the key to open the door near you and head down the stairs. Jump out of the tower, or walk back down fighting monsters, whichever you choose. Head back down the stairs into the cave, and now head up and search to the right. You will find a door that you can now unlock and some treasure inside. Head back to the four pillars, and this time head right, this path will lead you to Aliahan. With the Key you will be able to unlock the doors to rooms you couldn't get into before. Search one of the rooms for another TinyMedal, and be sure to talk to one of the inhabitants of the castle. One of them will tell you of a Magic Bomb in Reeve, now head to the Village of Reeve. +------------------+ Village of Reeve +------------------+ Village of Reeve- Item Shop: Turban Hat 160G Herb 8G Antidote 10G Repellent 20G WarpWing 25G INN: 8G a night Weapon and Armor Shop: Bronze Knife 80G Copper Sword 100G Sickle Sword 100G Training 80G Leather Armor 150G Turtle 320G Leather Hat 80G Explore the village and stock up on any items you may need and get some new weapons and armor for your party. If you search around town you will find the Muscle Book as well as an INTseed. Head to the house in the upper right corner and talk to the man inside, he will give you the Magic Bomb. This item will be used to blow up the seal that blocks your way to the other continent. As soon as you've stocked up on items as well as bought and equipped your best stuff, head out of the town and head to the right and then down to Tempt Cave. Be sure to stop near the shrine to find another TinyMedal. +--------------+ Tempt Cave +--------------+ As you make your way down Tempt Cave you will find a wall blocking your path. Use the Magic Bomb to blow up the wall and continue forward, be sure to grab the map. This cave is pretty straightforward, pretty much every way but the right way is being blocked by pitfalls, so just work your way around the cave, until you find the small whirlpool that will lead you to Romaly Castle. +----------------+ Romaly Castle +----------------+ Romaly Castle- Item Shop: Iron Apron 700G Leather Hat 80G Herb 8G Antidote 10G Repellent 25G WarpWing 25G MoonHerb 30G INN 12G a night Weapon and Armor Shop: Knife 200G Sickle Sword 320G Spear 650G Leather Armor 150G Shell Armor 350G Chain Armor 480G Bronze Shield 250G When you enter Romaly Castle you will hear from the townspeople that the king wishes to see you. Visit the King and he will tell you that the Golden Crown has been stolen, and wants you to retrieve it from a villain known as Kandar. If you explore the Castle you will learn that Kandar is in Shampane Tower. For now stop and explore the town, you'll find items scattered all over the place, including a Token, TinyMedal, as well as the Cheat and Smart Book. You'll also find a Monster Stadium where you can use your gold to gamble on the outcome of a fight. If you want you can partake in the activities. As usual stock up on items and see what new armor and weapon you can afford before moving on. This is also a good opportunity to build up a few levels, so you might as well gain a few levels before heading on. +----------------+ Kazave Town +----------------+ Kazave Town Item Shop: Wooden Hat 140G Herb 8G Antidote 10G Repellent 20G WarpWing 25G MoonHerb 30G BunnyTail 270G INN 16G a night Weapon and Armor Shop: Spear 650G Iron Claw 870G Chain Whip 1000G Iron Armor 1100G Fighting 800G Bronze Shield 250G Scale Shield 600G Your next destination will be at Kazave Town. From Romaly Castle head straight up and you will eventually run into it. If you searched to the left of Romaly you will have found another Traveler's Gate. You will need the Magic Key if you want to actually use the gate, so far know just leave and head up. Along the way you will also find the first Pachisi Track, in a shrine just below Kazave. If you want more information on the Pachisi Tracks check out the Mini-Game section for further details. Also note that to play the Pachisi Track you will need a Token. If you didn't find a Token at Romaly, you can find one at the shrine. Search the altar where the executioner looking guy stands and you will find a Token that will allow you to play one game. Once you are done head up to Kazave village. As usual, talk to the villagers, explore the town and grab some new weapons, armor, and any items you may need. Searching the town you will find Boxer Shorts, a TinyMedal, a LifeAcorn, and a Token. Also, if you speak to the old man he will tell you of an item that used to be sold in the item shop, the Poison Dagger. If you wait till nightfall and renter the Item shop you will be able to grab the Poison Dagger. Your next destination will be Shampane Tower. It's a good idea to have all of your party members above Lv.10. This will make the upcoming area a little less troublesome. +-----------------+ Shampane Tower +-----------------+ Like every other dungeon thus far this one is pretty easy to navigate. There are also a few treasures scattered around the area, some gold and a Bronze Shield; none of which are must get items, but you should get them anyways. As you reach the 5th floor you will see Kandar's men. They will alert him of your presence. When you head up the next floor you will fall through a trap. Head back up the stairs and you will find the treasure chest empty and his men gone. Head back down to the 4th floor and you will find him and his men waiting. Heal up and then talk to him to start the fight. Depending on your levels, this battle could be pretty tough. If you have a Cleric on your team have him/her mostly Heal and do an occasional attack when you can. Have the Hero help out in Healing too if necessary, if you don't have a Cleric stock up on some Herbs. Try to concentrate you attacks on his Goons first, this way the damage you take will be lessened. Once you've defeated Kandar he ask for your forgiveness. Say yes and he will give you the Crown, which you can take back to the King of Romaly. You can keep the Crown if you want, but its Defensive Power is pretty low compared to the stuff you should have now, so only keep it if you really want to. When you give back the Crown to the King he will offer the Kingdom to you. Since you can't refuse, even if you wanted too, say yes and he will crown King or Queen. As the King or Queen you can walk around town however you are quite limited in what you can do. You can't leave or buy, sell or even gamble. If you want to stop being King or Queen head down to the Arena and find the King there. Tell him you do not want to be King or Queen by first saying no, then yes to his next question. After that you should move on to Noaniels, a village just above Kazave. +------------------+ Noaniels Village +------------------+ Noaniels Village: Item Shop: Steel Sword 1300G Wizard Staff 1500G Evade 2900G Repellent 20G WarpWing 25G MoonHerb 30G SpiderWeb 35G INN: 20G a night When you enter Noaniels and start talking to the villagers you will notice that all of them are asleep. If you explore the town you will come across one man who is not asleep. He will then tell you of Elves that placed a cursed on the village unless you find the Dream Ruby. For now explore around town to find items such as the AGLseed, Tragic Book, Kilt, STRseed and MoonHerb. You won't be able to do anything else for now so head West of Noaniels and look for the Elf Village, it's a small patch of grass in the middle of the forest. When you enter Elvenham you will find that the Elves are less than friendly towards human. Even the shopkeeper will refuse to sell you stuff. There is an old man who will explain why. Now talk to the queen to learn a bit more of what happened. Although she doesn't exactly ask, you will have to find the Dram Ruby so you can lift the cure in Noaniels. Start by searching in the cave just below Elvenham. This cave, unlike the others you've visited will be the first that is actually maze like. From the cave entrance head down and then left to grab some gold. Continue heading down, and then head right. Go up to grab a Repellent then head back down. From here you will find two paths, one leading to the left and one heading down. First head left and then take the stairs on the right. Grab the TinyMedal you find and head back up and then take the stairs on the left side. When you head down you should see a glowing circle surrounded by four pillars. This will heal you so use it whenever you have to recover. Once you've healed head to the left then head straight up to find a Spear and a STRseed. Now head back down and then to the left and take the stairs down. From there head left and ignore the first set of stairs you see, it leads you nowhere. Instead head down and to the right to grab a Rosary. Head back up and continue heading left. You will find three more treasure chests; which contain some gold, a Token, and a Leather Dress. Once you've gotten all three chests head down the stairs next to the chest, and you will find the Dream Ruby there. You will also find a note left by the two who took the Ruby in the first place. With the Ruby in hand head back to Elvenham. Give the Queen the Ruby and she will give you the Wake Dust. Although you've done this you still can't buy anything in the Elf Village, so for now head back to Noaniels and cure the people of their curse. When you use the Wake Dust to awaken the people some of them will tell you about a Magic Key that your father when out searching for before he left Noaniels. They also say that he left for Ashalam, which is to the East of Romaly. After checking the item shop for any weapons or armor you may need head for Ashalam. +----------+ Ashalam +----------+ Ashalam: *Item Shop 1: (Note this list represents the lowest price) Herb 16G Antidote 20G Repellent 40G WarpWing 50G SpiderWeb 70G Gold Necklace 2000G Item Shop 2: Antidote 10G MoonHerb 30G *Weapon and Armor Shop 1: (Note this list represents the lowest price) Wizard Staff 3000G Holy Spear 4600G Iron Axe 5000G Skirt 3000G Black 4800G Iron Helmet 2000G Weapon and Armor Shop 2: Chain Armor 480G Iron Armor 1100G Bronze Shield 250G Scale Shield 600G Iron Apron 700G Fur Hat 250G Weapon and Armor Shop 3: (Only open at night) Knife 200G Sickle Sword 320G Spear 650G Chain Whip 1000G Iron Claw 870G Iron Axe 2500G INN: 28G a night There are quite a few shops in Ashalam, almost all of which are willing to rip you off. There are two storeowners who do not have prices next to the items they sell, marked with a * next to the list above. When you talk to them and want something, be sure to tell them that you will not pay for the price they ask. Wait for them to say something about them committing suicide if they sell this low, that will be the lowest price you can obtain the item. However, with the exception of the Gold Necklace, Skirt, and Black Suit everything else can be found in the next town, at half the price they are asking for. As for items, not much is hidden in this town except for some BugPowder and a Token. When you've finished shopping at all the honest merchants head West to Isis. +--------------+ Isis Castle +--------------+ Isis: Item Shop: Turban 160G Herb 8G Antidote 10G Repellent 20G WarpWing 25G MoonHerb 30G Weapon and Armor Shop: Steel Sword 1300G Holy Spear 2300G Iron Axe 2500G Iron Armor 1100G Silk Dress 1500G Iron Shield 1200G Iron Helmet 1000G INN 40G a night Isis is located in the south-west part of the desert. You won't exactly see the town, but you will see an Oasis, so the town isn't that hard to miss. Before heading there though, visit the shrine to the South-east of Isis, note that it is surrounded by a poisonous swamp. There you will find an old man who tells you that the Magic Key may be in the Pyramid. Search the place to find a Token, a TinyMedal, and a Tomboy Book. When you enter Isis, do the usually heal, armor, weapon, and town searching. If you search the town you will find two TinyMedals, Boxer, Brave Book, and a Smart Book. Also note that the weapons here are basically the same you saw in Ashalam, except cheaper, so start spending that money here. Once you've finished exploring the town, head up and go visit the Queen. When you enter the castle head to the left side and then up. You will see a passageway into the castle. If you explore the area you will find the Starry Ring, an item that doubles your Agility. Answer the skeleton that appears honestly, and he will let you keep the Starry Ring. Continue searching the castle to find the Defy Book and a Token. Talk to the Queen to save, and head to the right to talk to these children. One of them utters a nursery rhyme that will be useful later on, press Select after talking to him to remember what he said. Once you've finished head to the Pyramid, from Isis head straight up and you'll find it. +----------+ Pyramid +----------+ The first floor of the Pyramid contains no treasures, only monsters and pitfalls. When you first enter the Pyramid try to avoid walking in the center. If you don't you will fall down into a pit, where you cannot cast any magic. If you do fall down find a set of stairs that will take you back up, and this time avoid walking in the center. The best way to do this is to hug the wall as you explore the first floor. Now if you search to the left and right corridor near the entrance you will find nothing but empty treasures. Head up one corridor and then head to the right. Follow the path until you reach the stairs to the second floor. If you head left you will run into Cannibox, an extremely powerful monster, which gives you nothing in return, so avoid it if you aren't strong enough. On the second floor head down one corridor then head all the way to the left, and then head up, and down the stairs. The first two treasures you see are all dud, one will be a Cannibox, and the other will be empty. Head to the left and you will find a TinyMedal. Now head back up the stairs and this time head all the way to the left then all the way down to grab an INTseed. Now head up two corridors, down one, then head right to find a set of stairs that will take you up. In the next room you will put that rhyme you heard back in the castle to use. Okay this may be a bit confusing so let me explain things a bit. There are four buttons, two on the left side of the room, and two on the right side of the room. Sort of like this: 1 2 3 4 Now you have to press them in this order: 3, 2, 1, 4. Once you've done that correctly you will hear a noise coming from somewhere. Head up the middle and you will find that whatever was blocking the way earlier has now been moved. There you will find a VITseed and the Magic Key. Now either head to the left side or right side, doesn't matter which and then up the stairs. In this room you will see a ring of treasure, each and every one of them guarded by MummyMans. Once you've gotten all the treasures head up one more floor to grab the Flashy Suit. Head up one more floor and you will find yourself outside, from hear you can jump off and exit the Pyramid. Extra challenge: At the very bottom of the Pyramid is the Golden Claw. To find it first drop down to the bottom floor, then head to the upper left room, and where the two skulls are in the middle, head down one spot from the skulls and search, you should find a set of stairs. At the end of the corridor you will find a casket, search it to find the Golden Claw, now when you grab the claw a cursed will be placed upon you. Nearly every step you take you will run into some monsters. If you are pretty strong you should have no problems getting through, but also beware that you cannot use magic to heal or escape so make sure you can survive. +----------+ Portoga +----------+ With the Magic Key in hand a lot of doors that were previously locked will now be accessible. Start by going back to Isis Castle and searching the doors that were previously locked. There you will find some gold, an INTseed, Ruby Ring, Silk Dress, Tiara, TinyMedal, and LifeAcorn. Also be sure to visit the Queen at night, if you do she will give you instructions on getting a Wizard Ring. Now head back to Ashalam and search the places you couldn't before. You should find a Joke Book and a TinyMedal. You will also start to learn of a hobbit in a cave nearby. He is suppose to help you get through the cave, but won't help. Go visit the King of Portoga, which is to the left of Romaly. Before heading there though continue backtracking, if you head to Romaly and open the door near the northern part of the castle on the first floor and search the buses near the water you will find another TinyMedal. For your final stop head back to Aliahan and get the treasures in the castle you could not before, which include some gold, a Lune Rod, STRseed, AGLseed, and Hero Ring. You should also make a quick stop at the TinyMedal Man's house and trade in your medals if you haven't already. Once you are done head to Portoga. When you enter the town head to the INN and search the drawer for a Token. Head through the door in the INN and search the grass, you should find a TinyMedal there. Also, if you look go behind the inn you will find a path that leads you around the castle. Head through there and down the stairs to find another TinyMedal and a Tragic Book. Now head into the castle, explore the left side and you will find some treasures guarded by electricity. You'll find a Tattoo, VITSeed, and Mist Staff. Now talk to the King, he will then ask you to get some Pepper for him, and if you do he will recognize you as a hero and give you a ship. He will then give you the King's Letter. Now head back to the cave near Ashalam and show the letter to the hobbit, so that he will guide you through the cave. ****************************************** V. Bestiary/Monster Medals ****************************************** I am not even going to bother finding out every enemy's stat. Since I cannot really get an accurate count, without having to fight an enemy over and over and over. I will however list the names of monsters for those that are looking for Monster Medals. The way they are numbered are the way they are in the game. As for what they do, I have no clue. The instruction says to obtain 150, so I guess we'll see. There are a total of 165 medals, and three different types: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Note that getting a Bronze Slime Medal and a Silver Slime Medal counts as one towards your total and not two. So you will need to get a 150 different Monster Medals to find out what the secret is. And for the benefit of those who are collecting Medals, I have created a checklist of sorts for you to use. # Name | Bronze Silver Gold ---------------------|------------------------------- No. 1 Slime | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 2 Raven | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 3 Hornyhare | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 4 Anteater | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 5 Butterfly | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 6 Froggore | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 7 Babble | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 8 Magician | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 9 StingWasp | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 10 Healer | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 11 Echidna | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 12 Almiraj | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 13 VenomToad | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 14 Catapila | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 15 Manabat | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 16 PutrePup | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 17 KillerBee | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 18 ArmyCrab | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 19 GasCloud | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 20 BigShroom | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 21 VenomWorm | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 22 MadRaven | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 23 MadHound | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 24 Toadstool | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 25 Shadower | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 26 Vampire | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 27 CarniMoth | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 28 RogueNite | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 29 CatFly | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 30 KingToad | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 31 WildApe | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 32 TrickBag | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 33 MummyMan | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 34 HellCrab | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 35 Druid | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 36 Flamepede | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 37 Mummy | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 55 Cannibox | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 72 Hork | [ ] [ ] [ ] No. 144 Kandar | [ ] [ ] [ ] ****************************************** VII. Mini-Games ****************************************** +-----------------+ Pachisi Tracks +-----------------+ Pachisi Tracks is a mini-game that looks similar to a board game. You will see various tiles scattered throughout the board each representing a different action or affect. You get a limited number or rolls to make it to the goal. Also note that you must roll the EXACT number of spaces required to land on the goal. I'm not sure what all the tiles do, (at least for now, since I didn't land on all of them), but for those I did, and some look pretty self-explanatory. +------------------------------------------------------+ | Tile | Effect | |-------------|----------------------------------------| | Start | Where you start | | + Arrow | Advance that many spaces | | - Arrow | Move back that many spaces | | Chest | Item inside. | | + Dice | Gain a turn(s) | | - Dice | Lose a turn(s) | | Dresser | Search for items. | | Electricity | Shock of electricity | | Exclamation | ??? | | Feather | ??? | | Forest | Search for items. Prize: TinyMedal Mace ****************************************** VIII. Secrets & Misc. ****************************************** +----------------+ TinyMedal List +----------------+ Well, I would assume that some people would be looking for the TinyMedals, and instead of placing them all over the walkthrough, I thought I would just make the list here. The list of prizes can be seen at the collector's house or here for those that are too lazy. +--------------------------+ | Medals | Prize | |--------------------------| | 5 | Spiny Whip | | 10 | Garter Belt | | 20 | Blade Boomerang | | 30 | STR Ring | | 35 | INTSpecs | | 50 | Ninja Suit | | 60 | Justice Abacus | | 70 | AGLScarf | | 80 | Dragon Claw | | 90 | Vivify Staff | | 95 | Sacred Bikini | | 100 | Gold Pass | +--------------------------+ Locations: 01- Aliahan Castle: In a barrel, 1st floor. 02- Aliahan Town: At night visit the house you couldn't before, and search the drawers on the 2nd floor. 03- Najimi Tower: Inside a chest. 04- Aliahan Castle: Inside of a drawer. 05- Village of Reeve: Search under the boulder. 06- Small shrine near Tempt Cave: In a pot 07- Romaly Town: Inside the left house, in a pot. 08- Romaly Town: Near the entrance to the castle, next to the torch. 09- Romaly Castle: In the bottom-right garden. Search the middle bush. 10- Kazave Village: Search the third tombstone. 11- Elvenham: Near the queen, search to the left of the stumps, and look for a piece of land that goes in. 12- Cave below Elvenham: Inside a chest. 13- Pachisi Track #2: Inside those blue tiles, on the left side. Sear the bottom right corner in the middle. 14- Pachisi Track #2: As one of the prizes for winning. 15- Isis Town: Search the cross in the middle. 16- Isis Town: Search in a pot. 17- Shrine south-east of Isis: Search inside the pot. 18- Pyramid: 1st floor, in the upper-left corner. 19- Pyramid: 4th floor, in one of the chests. 20- Isis Castle: Chest on the 1st floor, right side. 21- Ashalam: Visit the house in the upper-left corner, the one that requires a Magic Key. Search the blue tiles to find a medal. 22- Romaly Castle: In the bush to the right of the little pond in the castle. 23- Portoga: Inside the Inn, where the horse is. Search the grass there. 24- Portoga: There is a hidden path behind the INN that leads around the castle. Head down the stairs and search the vase. +--------------+ Pachisi Bug +--------------+ Apparently there is a bug/error/glitch in the Pachisi mini-game. So far a few people have reported that when you get into random battles on the board (such as searching in the Grass area), your Hero seems to gain 50+ levels in one battle, even from fighting something as simple as a Slime. If you can repeat this bug with consistency tell me, I'm going to try it myself and see what happens. Note that this will make your game a whole lot easier, so avoid the bug if you want to keep the challenge there. ****************************************** IX.
